Ultra-high angular resolution in astronomy has always been an important vehicle for making fundamental discoveries. Recent results in direct imaging of the vicinity of the supermassive black hole in the nucleus of the radio galaxy M87 by the millimeter VLBI system Event Horizon Telescope and various pioneering results of the Space VLBI mission RadioAstron provided new momentum in high angular resolution astrophysics. In both mentioned cases, the angular resolution reached the values of about 10-20 microrcseconds. Further developments toward at least an order of magnitude "sharper" values are dictated by the needs of astrophysical studies and can only be achieved by placing millimeter and submillimeter wavelength interferometric systems in space. A concept of such the system, called Terahertz Exploration and Zooming-in for Astrophysics (THEZA), has been proposed in the framework of the ESA Call for White Papers for the Voayage 2050 long term plan in 2019. In the current paper we discuss several approaches for addressing technological challenges of the THEZA concept. In particular, we consider a novel configuration of a space-borne millimeter/sub-millimeter antenna which might resolve several bottlenecks in creating large precise mechanical structures. The paper also presents an overview of prospective space-qualified technologies of low-noise analogue front-end instrumentation for millimeter/sub-millimeter telescopes, data handling and processing. The paper briefly discusses approaches to the interferometric baseline state vector determination and synchronisation and heterodyning system. BackgroundThe risk of severe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) varies significantly among persons of similar age and is higher in males. Age-independent, sex-biased differences in susceptibility to severe COVID-19 may be ascribable to deficits in a sexually dimorphic protective attribute that we termed immunologic resilience (IR).ObjectiveWe sought to examine whether deficits in IR that antedate or are induced by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection independently predict COVID-19 mortality.MethodsIR levels were quantified with 2 novel metrics: immune health grades (IHG-I [best] to IHG-IV) to gauge CD8+ and CD4+ T-cell count equilibrium, and blood gene expression signatures. IR metrics were examined in a prospective COVID-19 cohort (n = 522); primary outcome was 30-day mortality. Associations of IR metrics with outcomes in non-COVID-19 cohorts (n = 13,461) provided the framework for linking pre-COVID-19 IR status to IR during COVID-19, as well as to COVID-19 outcomes.ResultsIHG-I, tracking high-grade equilibrium between CD8+ and CD4+ T-cell counts, was the most common grade (73%) among healthy adults, particularly in females. SARS-CoV-2 infection was associated with underrepresentation of IHG-I (21%) versus overrepresentation (77%) of IHG-II or IHG-IV, especially in males versus females (P < .01). Presentation with IHG-I was associated with 88% lower mortality, after controlling for age and sex; reduced risk of hospitalization and respiratory failure; lower plasma IL-6 levels; rapid clearance of nasopharyngeal SARS-CoV-2 burden; and gene expression signatures correlating with survival that signify immunocompetence and controlled inflammation. In non-COVID-19 cohorts, IR-preserving metrics were associated with resistance to progressive influenza or HIV infection, as well as lower 9-year mortality in the Framingham Heart Study, especially in females.ConclusionsPreservation of immunocompetence with controlled inflammation during antigenic challenges is a hallmark of IR and associates with longevity and AIDS resistance. Independent of age, a male-biased proclivity to degrade IR before and/or during SARS-CoV-2 infection predisposes to severe COVID-19.

The field of additive manufacturing method, especially in high-temperature applications, has completely changed how we design and manufacture objects. This comparative study examines the processing parameters, thermal stability, and mechanical characteristics of several materials that can be used in high-temperature additive manufacturing method. Investigating how processing parameters affect the physical characteristics of components made with fused deposition modelling (FDM) is the first step in the study. Optimizing strength and ductility requires careful consideration of parameters like heat treatment, infill density, and layer thickness. Promising improvements in mechanical performance and thermal conductivity are revealed when the analysis looks at metal/polymer composite filaments for FDM processes. Polylactic acid (PLA) composites containing wood, ceramic, copper, aluminum, and carbon fiber additives are included in the analysis. These materials show properties that are either the same or better than those of virgin PLA, indicating that they are suitable for demanding engineering applications. Prospective materials include high-performance thermoplastics like polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and novel materials like carbon fiber-reinforced polycarbonate (CCFR-PLA). Additionally, the comparative analysis looks at physical behaviour with PLA-based composite materials and open-source RepRap 3D printers. Making educated decisions about material selection is made possible by this information, which offers insights into the physical performance and economic viability of 3D printed components. Internet of Things (IoT) is a broad network of actual, physical objects that can exchange data and communicate with other devices and systems over the Internet. Due to the scalability of the internet, the number of IoT users is increasing, and therefore it is vital to ensure the security of user info. Attacks such as DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) and MitM (Man-in-the-Middle) can seriously interrupt operations and threaten the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive data. In this paper, a novel Iot based Security Assessment for intrusion using Deep Learning (ISAI-DL) technique has been proposed to identify IoT device vulnerabilities such as DDoS and MitM attacks. Initially, the features are extracted from the API documents using Bag of Words (BoW) and Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) techniques. In proposed ISAI-DL technique, it triggers or activates the vulnerabilities deep within target devices by sending API documents. The vulnerability is detected via the GloVe-CNN-BiLSTM Model; if the attack occurs in an IoT device, the output is classified as either DDoS, MitM, or normal. Evaluation metrics such as accuracy, recall, precision, time efficiency, F1 score, false alarm rate, and detection rate have been used to measure how effective the proposed ISAI-DL technique is. Based on a comparative investigation, the detection rate of the proposed ISAI-DL technique is 17.23%, 18.53%, and 3.24% greater than that of the existing P2ADF, HDA-IDS, and BT-TPF techniques respectively. Recently, the academic and non-academic staff turnover rate at a local university in Selangor, Malaysia, has increased, and the cause for resignation is unclear. This study investigates the employee perception of human resource management practices and their turnover intention. A thorough literature review suggests that performance appraisal, working conditions, equal employment opportunity, training & development, and rewards are the turnover determinants in the Malaysian context. This study considered the equity theory of motivation model, known as Adam's equity theory of motivation. The primary data was collected through a survey questionnaire involving 140 academic and non-academic staff. The 5-point Likert scale was used in constructing the items of the survey questionnaire. The majority of the respondents are females between the age of 26 and 35. They are Malays married, have an educational qualification of bachelor's degree, earn between the range of RM 3,500 and RM4,000, and work as lecturers and executives. The Cronbach's Alpha for turnover intention, performance appraisal, working conditions, training and development, and rewards is 0.600, 0.677, 0.774, 0.805, 0.680, and 0.772. Pearson correlation shows that turnover intention is significantly negatively correlated with performance appraisal(r=-0.632), working condition(r=-0,404), equal employment opportunity-0.454) training & development (-0.189), and rewards(-0.102). The multiple regression model’s R-square value is 35.8%. The hypotheses test results reveal a significant relationship between all the independent and dependent variables. This study supported the motivation theory model where better performance appraisal, working conditions, training and development opportunities, better reward system are important to reduce employees' intention to turnover.

We aimed to assess the effect of Vitamin E on hepatic pathology in terms of liver enzymes and ultrasonographic (USG) findings in Non-alcoholic Fatty liver disease (NAFLD) patients. Vitamin E was administered as α-tocopherol for 12 weeks for 60 patients. Baseline and after 12 weeks of Vitamin E therapy values of anthropometric measures, fasting blood glucose, lipid profile were estimated apart from liver enzymes and USG based assessment of liver size and Hamaguchi score. NAFLD fibrosis score (NFS), a predictor of hepatic fibrosis was evaluated pre and post treatment with Vitamin E. Significant statistical difference was noted in the reduction of Triglycerides, Cholesterol, VLDL and LDL both diabetic and non-diabetic population in our study. Agriculture employed more than 50% of labours and contributed nearly 18% to country's GDP. India is the leading producers of Many crops, such as wheat, rice, lentils, cotton, peanuts and perishable products but in recent years, the percentage of people getting into agriculture has been reduced. Crop disease and incorrect maintenance of humidity and moisture is the major reason that makes new farmers frustrated. Developing a deep learning model, that can identify the crop disease with high accuracy, and using this model one can easily identify the crop disease which makes easier for them treat the crop with pesticide, so that we cant wait for the experts. Using the IOT architecture to find the humidity and soil moisture of the field so that the farmer can maintain the correct level of humidity and soil moisture through irrigation, sometimes extreme high and very low moisture and humidity leads to diseases. An enhanced classification model was suggested in this paper to classify leaf diseases. Dataset with more than 10000 images is used for image classification. Classification accuracy is achieved using AlexNet model and it came out to be the highest in comparison to other models, and IOT part using the Raspberry pi 3 kit with soil moisture and humidity and soil moisture sensor.

Purpose Renewable energy sources such as solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind are ubiquitous because of their lower environmental impact. Output from solar PV and wind turbines is unstable; hence, this article aims to propose an effective controller to extract maximum available power. Design/methodology/approach By focusing on the varying nature of solar irradiance and wind speed, the paper presents the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique for renewable energy sources, and power regulation is made by the novel inverter design. Moreover, a DC–DC boost converter is adopted with solar PV, and a doubly fed induction generator is connected with the wind turbine. The proposed MPPT technique is used with the help of a rain optimization algorithm (ROA) based on bi-directional long short-term memory (Bi-LSTM) (ROA_Bi-LSTM). In addition, the sinusoidal pulse width modulation inverter is used for DC–AC power conversion. Findings The proposed MPPT technique has jointly tracked the maximum power from solar PV and wind under varying climatic conditions. The power flow to the transmission line is stabilized to protect the load devices from unregulated frequency and voltage deviations. The power to the smart grid is regulated by three-level sinusoidal pulse width modulation inverter. Originality/value The methodology and concept of the paper are taken by the author on their own. They have not taken a duplicate copy of any other research article.

Agriculture is the first priority occupation in all over the world. Most of the occupation are concentrated on farming and we can' t imagine a world without farming. We face many problems in the agricultural sector, especially in the diagnosis. It is very difficult to find a specific disease and cure scientifically. In a plant there are many types of disease which concentrated on leaf, stem and root. And leaf disease is more reflexive and affects crop production with high intensity. While studying on the leaf disease, we found that there are plenty of disease in tomato leaf and its very hard to find the type because symptoms are very similar. So we decided to classify and identify the tomato leaf disease. In our project we are developing a mobile application to the farmers. They can upload tomato leaf images for identifying the type of disease. Its result includes the type of disease and suggestion required for the cure. For getting an accurate result we selected CNN (convolutional neural network) algorithm. CNN is a deep learning approach to training the desired model. Trained with the available tomato leaf image dataset. Through this network we find out the specific diseases and the diagnosis. 25 páginas, 6 figuras, 2 tablas, Characterization of the genetic landscape of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and related dementias (ADD) provides a unique opportunity for a better understanding of the associated pathophysiological processes. We performed a two-stage genome-wide association study totaling 111,326 clinically diagnosed/'proxy' AD cases and 677,663 controls. We found 75 risk loci, of which 42 were new at the time of analysis. Pathway enrichment analyses confirmed the involvement of amyloid/tau pathways and highlighted microglia implication. Gene prioritization in the new loci identified 31 genes that were suggestive of new genetically associated processes, including the tumor necrosis factor alpha pathway through the linear ubiquitin chain assembly complex. We also built a new genetic risk score associated with the risk of future AD/dementia or progression from mild cognitive impairment to AD/dementia. The improvement in prediction led to a 1.6- to 1.9-fold increase in AD risk from the lowest to the highest decile, in addition to effects of age and the APOE ε4 allele., This work was funded by a grant (EADB) from the EU Joint Programme – Neurodegenerative Disease Research. Today's robots are agile, capable of engineering marvels, and have human-like traits. Robotics has huge promise in every field and is fast changing the game. Robots are robust and complicated gadgets that humans operate with buttons and switches. Hand gesture robots are widely used in defense, industrial robotics, civil car assembly, and surgery. The robotic hand moves and executes tasks based on human hand gestures. Gesture is the human hand and facial movement. Design and build a robotic hand that human motions can control. Potentiometers, which operate as sensors, detect human gestures. The robotic hand is programmed to mimic every action of a human hand. The robotic hand receives the human gesture using Bluetooth module HC-05. This project uses an Arduino as a microcontroller and is programmed in Arduino Ide. Servo motors drive the robotic hand. The robotic hand and glove (exo-hand) were tested for grip and gesture reproduction. In addition to being 3D printable, the robotic hand can be readily altered.
