Due to the numerous practices of non-Newtonian fluids in technological and industrial fields, the attention towards such fluids increases incredibly. The highly nonlinear equations emerge in the modeling of the non-Newtonian fluids. The differential transform method is one of the analytical methods which is used to acquire the solution to these complicated nonlinear equations in the series form. The current analysis comprises the squeeze flow of non-Newtonian fluid in two dimensions. Two infinite parallel plates are considered in which the time-dependent fluid is squeezed. The heat transfer mechanism is deliberated with the significance of heat absorption/generation. The nonlinear setup of ordinary differential equations is acquired by practicing the appropriate similarity variables on the governing equations of the concerned flow mechanism. The nonlinear setup is analytically resolved with the help of an analytical differential transform method. For the authenticity of the differential transform method, the analytical outcomes are compared with the numerical results. Graphical illustrations of fluid temperature and velocity profiles relative to the pertinent parameters are briefly explicated numerically and analytically. The primary aim of this study was to examine the peristaltic flow of an unsteady non-Newtonian TiO2 nanofluid through a uniformly symmetric channel under the influence of electro-osmosis. The fluid behavior was modeled by the Sutterby model. Furthermore, the flow took place through a porous medium, following a modified form of Darcy's law. Additionally, the impacts of Dufour and Soret effects, chemical reaction, activation energy, viscous dissipation, heat generation, and thermal radiation were considered. A wave transformation was used to simplify the governing equations describing the velocity, temperature, and nanoparticle concentration. These simplified equations were then solved analytically using the homotopy perturbation method. Additionally, set figures were employed to illustrate and discuss the impact of the physical parameters involved in the problem on the obtained solutions. It is found that the presence of a modified Darcy's medium in the Navier–Stokes equation results in a porous term that is dependent on the index of the Sutterby model. Furthermore, it is found that as the thermophoresis parameter increases, the nanoparticles are more concentrated, and their flow from the hot region to the cold region is more effective. Additionally, it is observed that in the presence of thermal radiation, the activation energy and the Brownian motion parameter have similar effects on the concentration profile. Shear thickening polishing (STP) is a finishing process that uses an non-Newtonian abrasive slurry to remove workpiece material. This method is used to polish the complex surfaces with a simple machining process. In this process, the polishing force are important factors that affect the surface roughness of workpiece. Polishing parameters are determined based on the Taguchi experimental design method. In addition, the analysis of variance (ANOVA) and regression analysis were also carried out. The polishing speed (60, 65, 70 and 75 rpm), working gap (15, 20,25 and 30 mm) and abrasive concentration (20, 25, 30 and 35 wt%) were chosen as machining parameters. In the ANOVA analysis, it was determined that the most effective parameters on force Fx/Fy/Fz values were working gap (92.86%/85.07%/90.51%), polishing speed (3.27%/11.43%/4.47%) and abrasive concentration (0.01%/0.03%/0.05%), respectively. The optimum parameter for maximum polishing force were found to be polishing speed of 75 rpm, working gap of 15 mm, and abrasive concentration of 35%. Under the optimal polishing parameter, an experimental model of STP for inner ring of angular contact spherical plain bearings has been conducted. As a result, the surface roughness Ra/Rz of inner ring is reduced from 0.08/0.53 to 0.02/0.13 μm. It was achieved about 75%/76% better. Comparing with the non-optimal STP process, the surface roughness Ra/Rz was upgraded 60%/58%. This study addresses the critical challenge of excessive water production in mature oil and gas reservoirs. It focuses on the effectiveness of polymer gel injection into porous media as a solution, with an emphasis on understanding its impact at the pore scale. A step-wise Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) is employed to simulate polymer gel injection into a 2D Berea sample, representing a realistic porous media. The non-Newtonian, time-dependent characteristics of polymer gel fluid necessitate this detailed pore-scale analysis. Validation of the simulation results is conducted at each procedural step. The study reveals that the methodology is successful in predicting the effect of polymer gel on reducing permeability as the gel was mainly formed in relatively larger pores, as it is desirable for controlling water cut. Mathematical model presented in this study accurately predicts permeability reductions up to 100% (complete blockage). In addition, simulations conducted over a wide range of gelation parameters, TD_factor from 1 to 1.14 and Threshold between 0.55 and 0.95, revealed a quadratic relationship between permeability reduction and these parameters. The behavior of non-Newtonian power-law nanofluids under free convection heat transfer conditions in a cooled square enclosure equipped with a heated fin is investigated numerically. In particular, the impact of nanofluids, composed of water and Al₂O₃ , TiO₂ , and Cu nanoparticles, on heat transfer enhancement is examined. The aim of this research is also to analyze the influence of different parameters, including the Rayleigh number (Ra = 104− 106), nanoparticle volume fraction (φ = 0% − 20%), non-Newtonian power-law indexes (n = 0.6 − 1.4), and fin dimensions (Ar = 0.3, 0.5, and 0.7). Streamlines and isotherms are used to depict flow and related heat transfer characteristics. Results indicate that thermal performance improves with increasing Rayleigh number, regardless of the nanoparticle type or nanofluid rheological behavior. This suggests that the buoyancy force has a significant impact on heat transfer, particularly near the heat source. The Nusselt number is more sensitive to variations in Cu nanoparticle volume fractions compared to Al₂O₃ and TiO₂. Moreover, the average Nusselt numbers for power-law nanofluids with n < 1 (n > 1) are greater (smaller) than for Newtonian fluids due to the decrease (increase) in viscosity with increasing (decreasing) shear rate, at the same values of Rayleigh number Ra owing to the amplification (attenuation) of the convective transfer. Notably, the most substantial enhancement is observed with Cu–water shear-thinning nanofluid, where the Nusselt number increases by 136% when changing from Newtonian to shear thinning behavior and by 154.9% when adding 16% nanoparticle volume fraction. This article demonstrates a mathematical model and theoretical analysis of the Micropolar fluid in the reverse roll coating process. It is important because micropolar fluids account for the microstructure and microrotation of particles within the fluid. These characteristics are significant for accurately describing the behavior of complex fluids such as polymer solutions, biological fluids, and colloidal suspensions. First, we modeled the flow equations using basic laws of fluid dynamics. The flow equations are made modified using low Reynolds number theory. The simplified equations are solved analytically. The exact expression for velocity and pressure gradient are obtained, while pressure is calculated numerically using Simpson Rule. Background: Synovial fluid (SF) is often used for diagnostic and research purposes as it reflects the local inflammatory environment. Owing to its complex composition, especially the presence of hyaluronic acid, SF is usually viscous and non-homogeneous. The presence of high-molar-mass hyaluronan in this fluid gives it the required viscosity for its function as a lubricant. Viscosity is the greatest major hydraulic attribute of the SF in articular cartilage. Methods: Empirical modeling of previously published results was performed. In this study, we explored the flow of a non-Newtonian fluid that could be used to model the SF flow. Analyzing the flow in a simple geometry can help explain the model's efficacy and assess the SF models. By employing some viscosity data reported elsewhere, we summarized the dynamic viscosity values of normal human SF of the knee joints in terms of time after injecting hyaluronidase (HYAL) at 25°C. The suggested quadratic behavior was obtained through extrapolation. For accurate diagnosis or prediction, the comparison between three specific parameters (ai, t0, and ln η0) was made for normal and pathological cases under the same experimental conditions for treatment by addition of HYAL and for investigation of the rheological properties. A new model on the variation of viscosity on the SF of knee joints with time after injection of HYAL with respect to normal and postmortem samples at different velocity gradients was proposed using data previously reported elsewhere. Results: The rheological behavior of SF changes progressively over time from non-Newtonian to a Newtonian profile, where the viscosity has a limiting constant value (η0) independent of the gradient velocity at a unique characteristic time (t0 ≈ 8.5 h). The proposed three-parameter model with physical meaning offers insights into future pathological cases. The outcomes of this work are expected to offer new perspectives for diagnosis, criteria, and prediction of pathological case types through comparisons with new parameter values treated under the same experimental conditions as HYAL injection. We address the stability of stationary solutions to a class of 2D non-newtonian fluid equations, when the external force contains hereditary characteristics involving unbounded delays. Firstly, when the unbounded variable delay is driven by a continuously differential function, we establish the stability of nontrivial weak stationary solutions and the asymptotic stability of trivial stationary solution. Then when the general unbounded delay is continuous with respect to time, the stability of nontrivial strong stationary solutions is also obtained. Hybrid nanofluids are a type of nanofluid that is created by combining two different types of nanoparticles with a traditional fluid. These nanofluids have unique physicochemical properties that make them more effective at transferring heat than traditional nanofluids. This research paper focuses on predicting thermal and energy transport in non-Newtonian biomagnetic hybrid nanofluids that contain gold and silver nanoparticles, using Gaussian process regression (GPR). The study uses blood as the traditional fluid and incorporates the effects of thermal radiation, thermophoresis, Brownian motion and activation energy into the model equation. The governing nonlinear partial differential equations are simplified to a set of ordinary differential equations using similarity replacements. The shooting method, along with the Runge–Kutta-Fehlberg fourth–fifth-order scheme, is used to solve the transformed equations using MATLAB. The results of the study are presented through figures and tables, which include the coefficient of skin friction, Nusselt number, Sherwood number and motile microbe's flux, illustrated with surface plots. The GPR model is developed using four basic function kernels (squared exponential, exponential, rational quadratic and matern32 functions) and evaluated using statistical indicators such as RMSE, MSE, MAE and R. The predicted results and simulated numerical values are in good agreement with the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.999999 for all parameters. The study also finds that GPR models with exponential kernel functions outperform other kernel functions in both the Oldroyd-B and Casson hybrid nanofluid data sets. However, the findings indicate that nanofluids and hybrid nanofluids have superior thermal qualities and stability, making them promising candidates for various thermal applications including solar thermal systems, automotive cooling systems, heat sinks, engineering, medical areas and thermal energy storage. The aim of this study was to investigate the natural convection of power-law fluids in a differentially heated cubic cavity by considering graphics process unit (GPU)-accelerated mesoscopic multiple-relaxation-time (MRT)-lattice Boltzmann method (LBM). The Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) C programming language was implemented for a robust workflow to obtain accurate and quicker outcomes. The present approach initially follows twofold validations with well-established literature after the grid independence test (GIT). Later, Levenberg–Marquardt (LM) algorithm was applied for the nonlinear surface analyses, followed by the random forest (RF) machine learning method for the cross-validation of CUDA C-obtained results, with coefficient of determination ( R 2 ) obtained between 0.96 and 0.99. In the numerical simulations, different Rayleigh numbers, R a = ( 10 4 , 10 5 , 10 6 ), and power-law indices ( n = 0.7 , 0.8 , 1.0 , 1.2 , 1.4 ) were integrated to study the heat transfer and entropy production values. The major findings of this study provide evidence that GPU-based simulation can provide robust outcomes and can be validated by a machine learning algorithm in a mesoscopic scale in a complex geometry concurrently with different temperature conditions by considering the LBM-MRT scheme. At the end of the study, it was found that the Ra numbers had significant impacts on the convective heat transfer, particularly at R a = 10 6 due to the dominance of buoyancy inside the enclosure. Furthermore, the distribution of temperature was more pronounced from the heated wall, particularly at power-law indices, n = 0.7 , 1.0 , and had a less significant impact at n = 1.4 . The power-law fluid represented by n = 0.7 exhibited quantitatively greater peak velocity and temperature as well as the maximum entropy production. One of the promising aspects of this study is that a data-driven approach has been found to be beneficial in the modelling and simulations which can be systematically investigated through CUDA C-obtained outcomes. We have found that the unique particle properties of fly ash can be applied to the modification of shear thickening fluid. In this paper, rheological properties and microscopic thickening mechanism of fly ash/silicon-based shear thickening fluid (subsequently abbreviated as FA/SiO2-STF) are studied. Ultrasonic technology and mechanical stirring method were used to prepare FA/SiO2-STF with different mass fractions of fly ash, and then rheometer was used to carry out steady-state rheological testing for FA/SiO2-STF, and 4%FA/SiO2-STF dynamic rheological test and temperature sensitivity testing, respectively. The thickening mechanism of FA/SiO2-STF was analyzed by scanning electron microscope. The rheological test results show that the FA/SiO2-STF with 4% fly ash content exhibits remarkable shear thickening effect. Finally, the relationship between the viscosity and shear rate of FA/SiO2-STF is numerically described by a mathematical model, which can accurately reflect the viscosity thickening effect. Magnetotactic bacteria (MTB) are promising candidates for use as biomicrorobots in biomedical applications due to their motility, self-propulsion, and the ability to direct their navigation with an applied magnetic field. When in the body, the MTB may encounter non-Newtonian fluids such as blood plasma or mucus. However, their motility and the effectiveness of directed navigation in non-Newtonian fluids has yet to be studied on a single-cell level. In this work, we investigate motility of Magnetospirillum magneticum AMB-1 in three concentrations of polyacrylamide (PAM) solution, a mucus-mimicking fluid. The swimming speeds increase from 44.0 ± 13.6 µm/s in 0 mg/mL of PAM to 52.73 ± 15.6 µm/s in 1 mg/mL then decreases to 24.51 ± 11.7 µm/s in 2 mg/mL and 21.23 ± 10.5 µm/s in 3 mg/mL. This trend of a speed increase in low polymer concentrations followed by a decrease in speed as the concentration increases past a threshold concentration is consistent with other studies of motile, flagellated bacteria. Past this threshold concentration of PAM, there is a higher percentage of cells with an overall trajectory angle deviating from the angle of the magnetic field lines. There is also less linearity in the trajectories and an increase in reversals of swimming direction. Altogether, we show that MTB can be directed in polymer concentrations mimicking biological mucus, demonstrating the influence of the medium viscosity on the linearity of their trajectories which alters the effective path that could be predefined in Newtonian fluids when transport is achieved by magnetotaxis. The hydrotransport of settling particles using laminar flow as opposed to the more energy‐ and water‐intensive turbulent flow has remained a tentative option for industries due to the complexity in characterizing particle settling dynamics in opaque non‐Newtonian fluids under sheared conditions. To provide insight into this unknown physics, this study focused on viscoelastic shear‐thinning fluids and developed a semi‐empirical model to characterize the batch‐settling dynamics of dilute suspensions (<5 vol% solids concentration) experiencing a shear field. These suspensions consisted of spherical glass microparticles in aqueous xanthan gum solutions. Settling profiles were measured with Electrical Resistance Tomography (ERT) while a motorized belt generated a cross‐shear field. The data acquired by the ERT showed that introducing cross‐shear fields into such suspensions increased settling rates when compared with static settling contexts. Then, a semi‐empirical model describing the "acceleration phase" of the settling process was developed and validated at accuracies between 81% and 97%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Rayleigh-Taylor instability (RTI) between a heavier Newtonian liquid and a lighter thixotropic liquid is studied in this paper by weakly compressible smoothed particles (WC-SPH). It is assumed that the thixotropic liquid obeys the Moore rheological model. First, the developed code is verified against available Newtonian RTI cases. Then, it is applied to thixotropic RTI cases to investigate the effects of the different non-dimensional parameters, including the thixotropic number (destruction-to-rebuild ratio), Reynolds number, Bond number, and Deborah number. It is shown that Bo is the most paramount non-dimensional parameter (i.e., it determines whether the two-phase boundary is stable or unstable), while Re , De , and thixotropic numbers have secondary influences on RTI. Based on the obtained results, the behavior of the thixotropic case is similar to the Newtonian high viscous counterpart at initial times; however, it is different at long times. It is demonstrated that the value of the thixotropic number determines when the transition between the short-time and long-time phenomena occurs. • The effects of thixotropy are investigated on single-mode and multi-mode RTIs by WC-SPH. • By increasing the thixotropic number, the spike position is more advanced. • The threshold for changing the behavior of the thixotropic RTI depends on the thixotropic number. • The impacts of thixotropic behavior appeared sooner for multi-mode RTI. A semi-numeric study is presented to explore the nonlinear, radiative, mixed convective boundary layer flow of non-Newtonian Eyring-Powell fluid (EPF) over a porous stretching wedge in the existence of suction/injection, viscous dissipation, activated energy, and ohmic heating. The governing coupled partial differential equations (PDEs) in the flow regime are transformed into coupled ordinary differential equations (ODEs) under suitable boundary conditions (BCs). Computations are performed for variations of various pertinent parameters on velocity, temperature distribution, surface drag force, and heat transfer rate number. It is noted that with increasing Eyring Powell parameter velocity increases for stretching parameter greater than free stream velocity, but decreases when wedge stretches slowly than free stream velocity. An increase in the local non-Newtonian fluid parameter decreases velocity when the wedge stretches faster as compared to free stream velocity. However, velocity increases when the wedge stretches faster. Temperature velocity decreases for both cases of wedge stretches faster or slower as the local non-Newtonian fluid parameter increases. Similar behavior is seen in the case of Eyring Powell parameter. Increasing heat generation or absorption decreases the momentum as well as thermal boundary layer thickness. When the suction/injection parameter is enhanced the velocity shows a declines behavior for both the cases of stretching parameter as it increases. Temperature profiles decline as the mass transfer parameter is enhanced for both the case's velocity ratio parameters, respectively. The demand for efficient applications of solar energy and nanomaterials has grown significantly in recent years due to industrial needs and the desire to minimize energy consumption and costs. However, the efficiency of photovoltaic cells and solar-powered ships is highly dependent on solar radiation. In this study, a model for the installation of a parabolic trough surface collector (PTSC) was developed to achieve high temperatures on solar-powered ships. The current study analyzed the thermal characterization function in solar-powered ships under the effect of heat radiation, magnetic field, and viscous dissipation by employing hybrid magnetite particles (Fe3O4) and silver (Ag). The Cattaneo–Christov model has been used to assess heat flux in the thermal boundary layer. The Galerkin weighted residual method (GWRM) has been employed to solve the ordinary differential equations using MATHEMATICA 11.3 software. The findings showed that the thermal efficiency of the hybrid nanofluid was significantly enhanced by 56.3% relative percentage. In order to solve the problem of uneven heating and low mixing efficiency of Chinese medicine paste with high viscosity in stirring kettle, a new type of “ bullhorn tube ” type combined paddle was designed. Based on the transient slip grid method in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), the numerical simulation of the flow field in the stirred tank under the heating of the inner coil was carried out, and the universal experimental verification of one of the working conditions was carried out to explore the flow field and temperature distribution of the traditional Chinese medicine paste in the stirred tank. The influence of the same combined propeller on the flow field at different speeds and different combined OARS at the same speed was analyzed. The results show that the new combined paddle has the highest temperature and flow field mixing efficiency in the kettle at the rotational speed of 300 r / min, and in this rotational speed, comparing the new combined paddle with the traditional combined paddle, the “ turbine blade” combined paddle has a weak influence on the temperature distribution in the kettle, which is not applicable to the industrial production, and the “ large blade” combined paddle has a weak influence on the temperature distribution in the kettle, which is not applicable to the industrial production. The mechanical stirring power consumption and temperature difference inside the kettle of the “ big blade” type combined paddle are larger than the new combined paddle, which makes the new combined paddle better than the traditional combined paddle in many aspects. Process of transportation of heat in ferrofluids has innumerable applications in the fields of electronics and automobile industry. By tracing the materials, the ferrofluid got popularity among researchers and engineers, also most ferrofluids are non-Newtonian in nature so here the non-Newtonian fluid is under consideration. In this study, the influences of viscous dissipation and magnetic parameter in the flow of ferromagnetic Carraeu fluid for a stretching surface are examined. Suitable similarity transformations in the system that consists of nonlinear form of Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) are transformed into a system of nonlinear form of ODEs, then the resulting Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs) are resolved by use of a mathematical technique known as bvp4c. Effects of ferromagnetic interaction factor, Curie temperature, viscous dissipation and material parameter are examined for temperature profile as well as velocity fields. Poiseuille flows are considered as flows of Newtonian fluids through stationary pipes, with applications ranging from the pharmaceutical industries to manufacturing companies. These flows have been extensively studied in several works of literature due to their relevance in many spheres of life. However, the Poiseuille flow for non-Newtonian flows has not gained much attention, even though most fluids are non-Newtonian. Based on this, this study investigates the Poiseuille flow of the second-grade fluid. Second-grade fluids are viscoelastic non-Newtonian fluids that exhibit both shear-thinning and shear-thickening with applications found in several industrial applications such as pharmaceutical, cosmetics and polymer processing. The Poiseuille flow of second-grade fluid is formulated from the underlying Navier-Stokes' equations and the general assumptions of Poiseuille flow are invoked to reduce the equations to the regular ordinary differential equations. An analytical solution for the flow problem is sought using the method of separation of variables and the results are graphed to show the response of velocity and flow rate to the parameters of the flow. The purpose of this paper is to focus on the transient flow and heat transfer of a non-newtonian fluid (Casson fluid) between parallel disks in the presence of an external magnetic field. The bottom disk is considered to be porous and fixed, whereas the upper disk moves down. Also, the influence of the heat source/sink and viscous dissipation is taken into account. The conservative partial differential equations have been transformed into dimensionless ones and are solved semi-analytically using Least Square Method. Besides, applying a numerical solution, the accuracy of analytical results is verified using the fourth-order Runge–Kutta method. The effects of various physical parameters such as suction/injection, heat source/sink, Prandtl number, magnetic field, slip condition, and Casson fluid parameter on velocity and temperature distribution as well as skin-friction coefficient and Nusselt number are examined and discussed. The results have shown that higher values of the Casson fluid parameter decrease the Nusselt number and shear stress. Also, it is observed that the Hartmann number augmentation decreases the heat transfer rate. The main idea of this investigation is to introduce an integrated intelligence approach that investigates the chemically reacting flow of non-Newtonian fluid with a backpropagation neural network (LMS-BPNN). The AI-based LMS-BPNN approach is utilized to obtain the optimal solution of an MHD flow of Eyring–Powell over a porous shrinking wedge with a heat source and nonlinear thermal radiation ( R d ). The partial differential equations (PDEs) that define flow problems are transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) through efficient similarity variables. The reference solution is obtained with the bvp4c function by changing parameters as displayed in Scenarios 1–7. The label data are divided into three portions, i.e., 80% for training, 10% for testing, and 10% for validation. The label data are used to obtain the approximate solution using the activation function in LMS-BPNN within the MATLAB built-in command 'nftool'. The consistency and uniformity of LMS-BPNN are supported by fitness curves based on the MSE, correlation index ( R ), regression analysis, and function fit. The best validation performance of LMS-BPNN is obtained at 462, 369, 642, 542, 215, 209, and 286 epochs with MSE values of 8.67 × 10−10, 1.64 × 10−9, 1.03 × 10−9, 302 9.35 × 10−10, 8.56 × 10−10, 1.08 × 10−9, and 6.97 × 10−10, respectively. It is noted that f ′ (η) , θ (η) , and ϕ (η) satisfy the boundary conditions asymptotically for Scenarios 1–7 with LMS-BPNN. The dual solutions for flow performance outcomes ( C f x , N u x , and S h x ) are investigated with LMS-BPNN. It is concluded that when the magnetohydrodynamics increase ( M = 0.01 ,   0.05 ,   0.1 ), then the solution bifurcates at different critical values, i.e., λ c = − 1.06329 , − 1.097 , − 1.17694 . The stability analysis is conducted using an LMS-BPNN approximation, involving the computation of eigenvalues for the flow problem. The deduction drawn is that the upper (first) branch solution remains stable, while the lower branch solution causes a disturbance in the flow and leads to instability. It is observed that the boundary layer thickness for the lower branch (second) solution is greater than the first solution. AbstractThe design of a mineral slurry transportation system is difficult because of the non-Newtonian nature of the flow at high slurry concentrations. The behavior of the slurry depends on many physio-chemical properties such as particle density, particle size distribution (PSD), particle shape, chemical composition, pH etc. This work presents a comparative study between three preferred methods of scale-up of the head loss in larger diameter pipelines, namely Bowen’s Method, rheological method and Wilson’s Method. The performance of each method is validated with the pipe loop test data in a 200 DN pipeline. A high concentration (>50% by weight) iron ore concentrate slurry was used for carrying out the above study. This work would be beneficial for engineers involved in the design and maintenance of the slurry pipelines with respect to the choice of the scale-up methods available for estimation of the head loss for a time independent, homogenous, non-Newtonian particulate slurry for both laminar and turbulent regime. AbstractThe present paper focuses on the computational modeling of the unsteady non-Newtonian electro-magnetohydrodynamic flow of nano-blood through the inclined and tapered saturated porous artery with overlapping stenosis. The Carreau fluid model is adopted to simulate the non-Newtonian behavior of the blood. This study also uses a modified form of Darcy’s law applied to the Carreau model. Blood is doped with a suspension of homogeneous biocompatible nanoparticles of different shapes. In addition, a combination of a magnetic field and an electric field has also been taken into account. The significance of this work rests in the ability to enhance comprehension of the complicated behavior of hemodynamic flow when exposed to external fields and porous media with the addition of nanoparticles, which has substantial implications for the regulation and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The finite-difference method is used to obtain the solution of the resulting equations. The paper investigates the effects of the Forchheimer term (form drag) and vertical pressure gradient on the buoyancy‐induced instability of power‐law saturating fluid in a porous plane medium. Two isobaric permeable layers are assumed to sandwich the horizontal porous plane. In the meantime, Dirichlet and Neumann equations are the thermal boundary conditions considered for the lower and upper layers. A base flow developed analytically via the governing equations is just in function of the Péclet number P $P$, with no dependence on the characteristic parameter of the power law fluid. A linear stability analysis consists of substituting a base flow with a small perturbation into the governing equations leads to a four‐order eigenvalue problem. An analytical solution is performed for the asymptotic cases of an infinite wavelength. The Runge–Kutta solver is applied together with the shooting technique to evaluate numerical solutions for the general case of nonnegligible wave numbers. Among the findings is the contribution of the Forchheimer term in the variation of the threshold Péclet number whose value can switch the wave numbers from zero to nonzero and increase the stability of the system. In this article, we discuss the increase in Reiner--Philippoff liquid thermal energy and mass transfer through a perpendicular plane in the presence of the magnetizing field. Characterizations regarding mass dissipation and heat energy are improved using non-Fourier's analysis with the existence of a thermal source. Three kinds of nanoparticles, i.e., titanium dioxide, silicon dioxide, and aluminum oxide, are introduced in engine lubricants to create thermal energy. Darcy--Forchheimer analysis is adopted to examine the effects of flow and thermal energy. Furthermore, the Dufour and Soret effects are also discussed. A developing model is converted into a system of ordinary differential equations using similarity variables and solved using the finite element method. It is observed that the heat energy of the fluid increased as opposed to a higher rate of time relaxation number. In this computational study, we investigate the gravity and pressure-driven electroosmotic multiphase flow of third-grade fluid through steep microchannel by using the semi-analytical technique. A two-dimensional mathematical model is proposed here for the supercritical bi-phase flow with the suspension of the nanometallic particles. A special type of non-Newtonian fluid (third-grade) is selected as a base fluid. The governing equations for the current flow problem are obtained through Poisson–Boltzmann equations, continuity equations, and Cauchy's momentum equations. The Poisson–Boltzmann equation is simplified by using the Debye–Hückel approximation. The symbolic software MATHEMATICATM is used to obtain the closed-form expression of electric potential, fluid and particle velocities, pressure gradient, and volumetric flow rate, respectively. The computational results are discussed qualitatively under the impact of the physical parameters embedded in the study. The graphical plots of fluid and particle-phase velocities are generated against the different parameters used in this study by adopting the same software as discussed earlier. The electrokinetic forces are responsible for electroosmotic flow which is modeled through the Laplace and Poisson–Boltzmann equations. Fluid hydrodynamic stress has a deterministic effect on the morphology of filamentous fungi. Although the coaxial mixer has been recognized as a suitable gas dispersion system for minimizing inhomogeneities within a bioreactor, its performance for achieving enhanced oxygen transfer while operating at a reduced shear environment has not been investigated yet, specifically upon scale-up. Therefore, the influence of the impeller type, aeration rate, and central impeller retrofitting on the efficacy of an abiotic coaxial system containing a shear-thinning fluid was examined. The aim was to assess the hydrodynamic parameters, including stress, mass transfer, bubble size, and gas hold-up, upon conducting a scale-up study. The investigation was conducted through dynamic gassing-in, tomography, and computational fluid dynamics combined with population balance methods. It was observed that the coaxial bioreactor performance was strongly influenced by the agitator type. In order to study the implementation of the generalized magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) bioconvective aspects of the Walter’s-B fluid flows over a convectively heated stretched sheet in the presence of activation energy and numerous boundary conditions, the non-homogeneous nanofluid flow model is used. Here, the nonlinear differential equations illustrating the current nanofluid flow model of non-Newtonian fluid explicitly include the concentration of both motile microbes and solid nanoparticles. Furthermore, the associated temperature, impact of thermal radiation and the Cattaneo–Christov heat flux model are discussed. The similarity transformations are formally displayed to transfer the consequential reduction in the mathematical complexity of the existing physical situation by converting partial differential equations (PDEs) into a nonlinear associated framework of ordinary differential equations (ODEs). Furthermore, the homotopy analysis method (HAM) through the MATLAB tool is used to numerically solve the dimensionless similarity equations. The results are extremely well demonstrated. In this manner, the significant engineering procedures are more accurately and entirely estimated before being reported. The results of the fixed physical factors of velocity, temperature, concentration, and microbe concentration profiles are effectively demonstrated through multiple types of illustrations and comprehensive explanations. The principal assumption is that the greater significance of the bioconvection Lewis and Peclet numbers can lead to a drop in the microbe concentration profile. AbstractThis article analyses the flow across a moving surface using the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) Williamson fluid model in detail, accounting for the effects of diffusion, nonlinear convection, and variable thermal conductivity. The heat transmission within the system is impacted by the changing thermal conductivity, which can also significantly alter the flow behavior. The effects of the moving surface on flow forms in porous media are explained here using the Darcy model. The similarity transformations are used to convert the underlying nonlinear partial differential equations into a collection of ordinary differential equations. The work uses a numerical RK4 technique to examine the complex incompressible fluid flow behavior on a moving surface. The study’s conclusions provide insight into the intricate flow patterns and shear layer forms brought on by the interaction of fluid and surface motion while taking varied thermal conductivity into account. The findings give important information for the design and optimization of engineering applications involving changeable thermal characteristics and advance our understanding of fluid dynamics in geophysical and atmospheric systems.
