Several studies have reported that different factors play an important role in the production of IgG after VOVID-19 vaccination. This study aimed at studying COVID-19 infection rates and severity in renal transplant recipients and vaccine responsiveness. comorbidity hemodialysis requirements, and immune suppression treatment regimens. In this cross-sectional study, IgG levels was measured in renal transplant recipients using automated benchtop immunoanalyzer Vidas at the Duhok Center for Kidney Disease and Transplantation. In this study group, only 30 individuals experienced the SARS-COVID-2 infection, with only three cases being severe. The most frequently reported symptoms of SARS-COVID-2 virus infection were fatigue (18/30) 60%, high temperature (17/30) 56%, headache (12/30) 40%, and poor endurance (11/30) 36.6%. The IgG titers were significantly different between the vaccinated 33.067 ± 2.5 versus unvaccinated individuals 23.916 ± 3.31with p value = 0.025. On the other hand, demographic characteristics of the cohort including: comorbidities, hemodialysis, different age groups, gender, infection/no-infection differences had no statistically significant impact on the IgG titers. Vaccination significantly increased the levels of protective IgG level in kidney transplant recipients. It is crucial to focus on increasing the acceptance of vaccination among kidney transplant recipients to prevent infections from other COVID-19 variants or pathogen outbreaks.

The aircraft landing phase, marking the finishing of a flight plane, is a critical yet dangerous aerial maneuver. Even though it might seem simple, predicting the complexities of performance during landing presents a big challenge due to the dynamic characteristics of the phase, interaction with piloting methods, as well as inherent uncertainties in aerodynamics. Landing is executed in close proximity to the ground at reduced airspeed, the landing phase entails an escalated safety risk. Notably, incidents and accidents, particularly overruns where aircraft fail to slow sufficiently on the runway before landing, underscore the imperative for advanced landing technologies. This paper presents a comprehensive review of research spanning from 2000 to the present exploring smart techniques like fuzzy logic and machine learning, an array of control strategies ranging from classic PID control to sophisticated hybrid control approaches, and optimization procedures utilizing diverse optimization algorithms. The primary objective is to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the existing research landscape, offering insights that can propel the evolution of strategies for safer and more efficient landings and making sure the plane touches down safely.

The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic poses a danger to public health across the world. Specific and sensitive testing is vital to tracking and containing the infected individuals. This study examines the characteristics of 705 patients based on gender and age groups, with a focus on their CT (Cycle Threshold) values associated with E- and RdRp gene amplification. Among the patient cohort, 58.87% were male, while 41.13% were female. Notably, all males and females tested positive for the E gene, achieving a 100% detection rate, whereas the RdRp gene exhibited a slightly lower positive rate of 93.4% in males and 89.6% in females. Statistical analysis through the chi-square test revealed no significant disparities between target genes and gender. Additionally, a one-way ANOVA test demonstrated no significant distinctions between target genes and age groups. This study's findings suggest that gender and age do not significantly influence CT values for E and RdRp gene amplification, and there is no preferred gene for detection, providing valuable insights into the molecular characteristics of the studied cohort.

Azapropazone (AZA) is anti-inflammatory drug for treatment of arthritic conditions with low side effect. The construction and electroanalytical uses of brand-new AZA voltammetric sensor are demonstrated. Working carbon paste electrodes integrated with 5.0% ZnONPs exhibited proper catalytic effect toward oxidation of AZA molecule. At pH 5.0, AZA recorded single irreversible anodic oxidation at 0.462 V. Based on CV registered at variable conditions, oxidation of AZA molecule by one proton and two electrons of N16 with de-localized lone pair of electrons. Calibration graphs showed good linearity within AZA concentration from 19.5 to 1040.75 ng mL−1 with LOD and LOQ values of 1.67 and 5.6 ng mL−1. The presented sensor showed improved LOQ and LOD values. Also, electrooxidation mechanism of AZA molecule and EIS of sensors were reported. The proposed analytical approach was examined for sensitive voltammetric determination of azapropazone in pharmaceutical formulations and biological fluids with agreeable recoveries.

يهدف البحث الى معرفة ما تود الصورة إبلاغه بوصفها نصًا بصريًا، إذ أن الصور لا يتم التقاطها اعتباطًا، ولا سيما صور السياسيين، إذ لكل صورة رسالة حتى وإن اختلفت توجهات تفسير تلك الرسالة بين شخص وآخر، وقد اعتمد البحث على تطبيق منهجية قائمة على التحليل السيميائي بتطبيق نموذج لوران جيرفيرو في تحليل صورة زيارة رئيس الوزراء العراقي مصطفى الكاظمي للفلوجة في ذكرى الانتصار على داعش، وكون هذه الصور لغة مبنية على جملة من الدلائل البصرية أو الايقونية التي تندمج فيما بينها لتكون صورة ذات موضوع معين تحمل رسالة محددة أراد المرسل إيصالها الى الجمهور، كما وتكشف عن إيديولوجية المصور الذي يختار جزءًا من الحدث ليوجه إليه كاميرته. وتوصل البحث إلى نتائج عدّة منها: إن الأفكار والمعاني التي تضمنتها الصورة شكلًا ومضمونًا تنصب في إطار التسويق السياسي لشخصية رئيس الوزراء العراقي مصطفى الكاظمي، فضلًا عن ابرازه كشخصية قوية حادة الملامح، واستندت أساليب بلاغة الصورة بالتأكيد على وحدة المصير ونبذ الطائفية والقومية، إذ ساعد التنوع والتدرّج الوظيفي للكاظمي في مجال الصحافة والتوثيق التاريخي باكتسابه خبرة فن الظهور والتأثير في المتلقي، فضلًا عن عمله سابقًا في حقل حساس وهو المخابرات.

Background: Stress urinary incontinence is a frequent urological disease in women; it has a great influence on an individual’s wellbeing and places a significant economic strain on any health service. The placement of urodynamic diagnostic tests in the evaluation route is an important clinical research concern in this field. Objective: to find out whether the duration of stress urinary incontinence is associated with the finding of bladder outlet obstruction in urodynamic study or not. Subjects and Methods: A descriptive study. With enrolled female patients had symptomatic Stress urinary incontinence as their primary complain. All the included patients were assessed thoroughly by history taking and physical examination and relevant clinical tests and investigation in addition to urodynamic evaluation consisted of multi-channel urodynamics measuring abdominal, vesical and detrusor pressures simultaneously. Results: 140 females were suffering from stress incontinence. Urodynamic study showed maximum urine flow rate (Q max) mean of (20.45±9.86) ml/second, the maximum post void volume was 500ml with 36.89ml was the mean of post void residual volume, and 90.83cm water was the mean of urethral occlusion pressure. The mean of duration have positive relationship with age category but without statically significant. Ninety-eight patients have Q max flow more than 25ml/sec with mean duration 6.04 without any statically significant (p=0.872). 37 patients were having >0 ml post void volume with mean duration more than other patients that didn’t have post void volume but without statically significant (p=0.257). All patients with urethral pressure less than 120 cm had long duration mean than others but without statically significant (p=0.335). also, no statistical significance association between mean of duration and sphincter pelvic floor electromyogram (EMG). Conclusion: there was no catechistically significant relationship between the urodynamic findings and the duration neither of stress urinary incontinence nor between the urodynamic findings and the age of the patients.

Introduction: Hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) prolyl hydroxylase domain (PHD) enzymes are major therapeutic targets of anemia and ischemic/hypoxia diseases. To overcome safety issues, liver failure, and problems associated with on-/off-targets, natural products due to their novel and unique structures offer promising alternatives as drug targets.Methods: In the current study, the Marine Natural Products, North African, South African, East African, and North-East African chemical space was explored for HIF-PHD inhibitors discovery through molecular search, and the final hits were validated using molecular simulation and free energy calculation approaches.Results: Our results revealed that CMNPD13808 with a docking score of −8.690 kcal/mol, CID15081178 with a docking score of −8.027 kcal/mol, CID71496944 with a docking score of −8.48 kcal/mol and CID11821407 with a docking score of −7.78 kcal/mol possess stronger activity than the control N-[(4-hydroxy-8-iodoisoquinolin-3-yl)carbonyl]glycine, 4HG (−6.87 kcal/mol). Interaction analysis revealed that the target compounds interact with Gln239, Tyr310, Tyr329, Arg383 and Trp389 residues, and chelate the active site iron in a bidentate manner in PHD2. Molecular simulation revealed that these target hits robustly block the PHD2 active site by demonstrating stable dynamics. Furthermore, the half-life of the Arg383 hydrogen bond with the target ligands, which is an important factor for PHD2 inhibition, remained almost constant in all the complexes during the simulation. Finally, the total binding free energy of each complex was calculated as CMNPD13808-PHD2 −72.91 kcal/mol, CID15081178-PHD2 −65.55 kcal/mol, CID71496944-PHD2 −68.47 kcal/mol, and CID11821407-PHD2 −62.06 kcal/mol, respectively.Conclusion: The results show the compounds possess good activity in contrast to the control drug (4HG) and need further in vitro and in vivo validation for possible usage as potential drugs against HIF-PHD2-associated diseases.

Background: Several, clinical and biochemical factors were suggested as risk factors for more severe forms of Covid-19. Macrophage inflammatory protein-1 alpha (MIP-1α, CCL3) is a chemokine mainly involved in cell adhesion and migration. Intracellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1) is an inducible cell adhesion molecule involved in multiple immune processes. The present study aimed to assess the relationship between baseline serum MIP-1α and ICAM-1 level in critically-ill Covid-19 patients and the severity of computed tomography (CT) findings. Methods: The study included 100 consecutive critically-ill patients with Covid-19 infection. Diagnosis of infection was established on the basis of RT-PCR tests. Serum MIP-1α and ICAM-1 levels were assessed using commercially available ELISA kits. All patients were subjected to a high-resolution computed tomography assessment. Results: According to the computed tomography severity score, patients were classified into those with moderate/severe (n=49) and mild (n = 51) pulmonary involvement. Severe involvement was associated with significantly higher MIP-1α and ICAM-1 level. Correlation analysis identified significant positive correlations between MIP-1α and age, D-dimer, IL6, in contrast, there was an inverse correlation with INF-alpha. Additionally, ICAM-1 showed significant positive correlations with age, D‐Dimer,- TNF—α, IL6,while an inverse correlation with INF-alpha was observed. Conclusions: MIP-1α and ICAM-1 level are related to CT radiological severity in Covid-19 patients. Moreover, these markers are well-correlated with other inflammatory markers suggesting that they can be used as reliable prognostic markers in Covid-19 patients.

The degradation and mineralization of 4-chlorophenol (4-CP) by advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) was investigated in this work, using both of UV/H2O2 and photo-Fenton UV/H2O2/Fe+3 systems.The reaction was influenced by the input concentration of H2O2, the amount of the iron catalyst, the type of iron salt, the pH and the concentration of 4-CP. A colored solution of benzoquinon can be observed through the first 5 minutes of irradiation time for UV/H2O2 system when low concentration (0.01mol/L) of H2O2 was used. The colored solution of benzoquinon could also be observed through the first 5 minutes for the UV/H2O2/Fe+3 system at high concentration (100ppm) of 4-CP. The results have shown that adding Fe+3 to the UV/H2O2 system enhanced the rate of 4-CP oxidation at a molar ratio of H2O2/Fe+3/4-CP equals to 13/0.4/1 by a factor of 7. This reduced the consumption of H2O2 by a factor of 6 and the irradiation time required for complete degradation was reduced by a factor of 6. The experimental results have shown that the optimum reagents for a complete degradation of 4-CP(50ppm) were H2O2.=0.005mol/L, Fe+3=0.16*10-3 mol/L under acidic condition (pH=3) and irradiation time of 15 min for the UV/H2O2/Fe+3 system with a molar ratio of H2O2/Fe+3/4-CP equals to 13/0.4/1.

This paper produces an efficient, low-cost solution for communication between Infrastructure and vehicles by exploiting the passive UHF RFID features to deploy a scalable platform that overcomes the limitation of current technology GPS, WIFI and camera used in intelligent transportation system (ITS). The limitations are GPS inaccuracy, camera failure in bad weather, WIFI extra time handshake, and high deployment cost. The suggested system provides fast communication in real time that's required in warning message transmission between Infrastructure and vehicles, like speed limit warning and curve warning that the driver always misses or ignores. The proposed system contains a UHF RFID reader with a built-in antenna installed in the front pamper of the car connected to a microcontroller Arduino UNO by serial interface and a passive RFID tag deployed inside the road surface in the same line of the intended warning signal and this tag store the road information related to the warning signal. When the go over the RFID tag, it will retrieve its information, and a warning message will display on an LCD screen. This paper simulates all possible weather conditions and tries the system under four communication environments: water, dust, asphalt and free Air and compares the result accordingly.

Drug-delivery systems employing phytopharmaceuticals based on the leads in traditional knowledge offers not only an alternative but quicker and more economic strategy for drug development. Nanophytopharmaceuticals promise remarkable opportunities with the ability to overcome challenges associated with herbal medicines, such as low solubility and bioavailability, poor target specificity, and shelf life. Berberis extracts documented as Ropana (wound healer) in Sushruta Samhita are a popular traditional remedy that is amiss in the modern system of medicine as it exhibits very poor biopharmaceutical properties. Poor solubility and bioavailability necessitate the administration of high doses to achieve the desired therapeutic effects. Exploiting the diversified type of compounds with pleiotropic properties present in Berberis, the biopharmaceutical properties were engineered using an optimized freeze-dried extract and developed solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) as an effective drug-delivery system. An industrially viable and environment-friendly hot high-pressure homogenization technique led to a stable formulation with an average particle size of 178.4 nm, as well as a 7-fold increase in loading and a significant entrapment of 91 ± 1.25%. The pharmacodynamic studies of developed nanosystems in excision-wound models showed faster and complete healing of wounds with no scars.

Urgent requirement for medication from cancer diseases and different microbial infections is interestingly considered. Carbon quantum dots (CQDs) as environmentally friendly fluorescent carbon nano-functionalized materials are popularly considered for application in medical purposes. Herein, a comparative study is presented for the affinity of CQDs ingrained from microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) prepared under hydrothermal conditions (CQDs-HT) versus that prepared under infrared assisted technique (CQDs-IR) for acting as anticancer and antimicrobial laborers. The estimated size averages for the obtained CQDs-HT & CQDs-IR were 7.8 & 9.8 nm, respectively. CQDs-HT showed rationally higher anti-proliferative action against Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HepG2) compared to CQDs-IR. Treatment with 1000 μg/mL of CQDs-IR & CQDs-HT exhibited 78 & 90 % mortality percentage of cancer cells, respectively. The obtained CQDs showed excellent microbicide potentiality and the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) from the synthesized CQDs-TH and CQDs-IR was ranged in 100–350 µg/mL and 300–400 µg/mL against different pathogens including bacteria and fungi, respectively. As a conclusion, hydrothermal technique showed seniority over infrared assisted technique in nucleation of CQDs with higher anticancer and microbicidal activities.

The objective of this study is to detect affective response of children to facial expression based on alpha power density of brain activity. Electroencephalography data were collected from 10 typical children. The alpha power temporal information of active brain regions was extracted. Performance of the power spectrum feature was evaluated in emotion recognition process using K nearest neighbor, a regularized least square and multilayer perceptron classifier. A statistical analysis indicated right alpha activity during negative and calm emotional states. Statistical results showed significant difference between rest conditions and emotional state. The best accuracy we got to detect emotional states is by using regularized least square that is 70%.

La traducción poética es uno de los tipos de traducción más difíciles, a causa de los textos poéticos se pueden interpretar de más de una manera, ya que contiene muchas expresiones metafóricas. Cada poeta tiene su propio estilo de escritura y cada lector tiene una forma de entender el texto, que depende del nivel de su conciencia mental, y estos dos conceptos llevan a una diferencia en la comprensión del texto entre el poeta y el destinatario. Aquí radica la dificultad del trabajo del traductor a la hora de traducir el texto, por lo que debe conocer todas las circunstancias que rodean al texto poético, a fin de proporcionar al lector una traducción más inteligible y coherente con el texto original. The purpose of this paper is to prepare volleyball-style (SMlT) exercises, as well as identify the effect of (SMlT)-style exercises on the CPK enzyme, speed of kinetic response, and accuracy of the blocking skill for young volleyball players. The researchers to use the experimental method because it is compatible with the nature of the research problem, and to design the method of the two equal groups (experimental and control) with pre- and post-tests. The research population was determined by the young players of Al-Daghara Sports Club for the sports season (2023-2024), who numbered (14) players, and the freestyle players, who numbered two players, were excluded because their characteristics did not match the nature of the study. Thus, the total number became (12) players, and the researcher chose them entirely for the experiment, and they were distributed. Two groups were divided equally in a random manner (lottery method), after which the experimental group underwent training (SMlT) method, while the control group remained using the trainer’s normal training curriculum. One of the most important results reached by the researcher is that: The exercises applied by the experimental research group using the SMlT method helped adapt the muscle cells by increasing the activity of the CPK enzyme . One of the most important recommendations recommended by the researchers is that: Researchers recommend adopting specialized exercises using the SMIT method as basic data when training volleyball players. The present work describes the fabrication and electrochemical characterization of a novel iron oxide nanopowder-based carbon paste electrodes (CPE) for the sensitive voltammetric quantification of midodrine (MD) in pharmaceutical formulations and biological fluids. At the electrode surface, the postulated reaction mechanism involved the irreversible oxidation of the terminal amino group of midodrine through the participation of two-electron as elucidated by the sweep rate studies and molecular orbital calculations. Calibration graphs were linear in the MD concentration range from 0.16 × 10-6 to 2.12 × 10-6 mol L-1 with LOD 0.04 × 10-6 mol L-1. Prolonged stability with an operational lifetime of more than 4 months and high measurement reproducibility were the promising futures of the fabricated sensors. The proposed electroanalytical approach was free from interference and suggested for assaying of midodrine in its pharmaceutical formulations and biological samples with recovery agreed with the official methods.

The current work proposed a new green procedure that is not sophisticated to recognize and determine the Al(III) ions in multiple water samples. The suggested method was conducted based upon the direct immobilization of aurintricarboxylic acid reagent into the mesoporous silica nanospheres to shape a unique and novel solid sensor. Al(III)-ATA red-complex has been formed at pH 4.0 and spectrophotometrically measured at 525 nm. Moreover, the complexation was reversible, and the ATA sensor retained his functionality even after six-time reuse/cycles using EDTA as eluent. Univariate and multivariate (partial least squares 1, PLS-1) calibration techniques were utilized for calculating the figures of merit for the determination of the Al(III) ions. The obtained calibration curve was linear from 2.0 to 70 ppb Al(III) ions concentration. The developed method has a detection limit of 3.5 ppb. In addition, the ATA sensor showed high adsorption capacity value (118.53 mg/g) which gives it a great advantage to be applicable as nanocollector for trapping Al(III) ions. The novel ATA sensor showed high degree of selectivity, sensitivity, reproducibility, and stability. The current study explores the effectiveness of the ATA sensor for the first time to produce a green solid sensor to determine the trace amount of Al(III) in diverse water types; tap, mineral, river, well, and sea water.

This research deals with the process of reviving urban heritage, especially in old cities after the war, due to their symbolic and moral values in society. By studying the reality of the city and its destructed heritage features, there was a local need to study the integrated strategies of the urban heritage revival process to reach indicators that are drawn from international experiences and the curricula and studies of international organizations (ICOMOS, World Bank, UN-Habitat, IOM) that interested in cultural heritage and to use these indicators in evaluating local projects in the center of the old city of Mosul which was chosen as a case study for this research, due to its historical and civilizational importance, which has contributed greatly to the formation of the city of Mosul through the ages, and as this city has witnessed deliberate sabotage of its urban heritage due to the terrorist acts witnessed before its liberation.

Bismuth oxide (Bi2O3) nanoparticles are synthesized and evaluated for their function as materials for solar cells. Bi2O3 solution is inexpensively produced from the Nigella sativa seeds using a green synthetic method. The synthesized Bi2O3 solution is deposited by droplet casting method, and the synthesized nanofilm is dried at 80°C. Subsequently, diagnostic tests such as UV–VIS, XRD, and FTIR are performed on the Bi2O3/glass thin films. By means of the SEM, EDS, AFM, and I–V characteristics in dark and under illumination, the optical and structural characteristics of Bi2O3- nanoparticle films are investigated to determine the optical energy gap and crystalline material. X-ray diffraction reveals the presence of a tetragonal crystal system in the phase. The estimated band-gap energy Eg is approximately Eg1 = 3.6 eV, and FTIR analysis shows the degree of infrared absorption as a function of wavelength to demonstrate the presence of functional groups in bismuth-oxide molecules from Bi–O bonds. SEM–EDS morphology studies examine the occurrence of nanocrystals of various shapes and sizes. Finally, as a bulk heterojunction device, the I–V performance of the solar cell (Ag/Bi2O3/PSi/Si/Ag) deserves attention, and a fill factor FF= 48 is found for a solar-cell efficiency of 2.8%, ideality factor β= 1.35, characterization resistance RCH = 175 Ω, and the parallel resistance = 25.14 Ω·s. Exposure to ultraviolet radiation triggers a photooxidative deterioration mechanism in plastics, resulting in bond breakage, release of volatile substances, overall weight reduction, generation of free radicals, and loose crosslinking. The aim of this study was to obtain a plant extract with appropriate concentration and use it to protect polyvinyl chloride (PVC) from photodegradation. PVC films containing different concentrations of naringin that were already extracted and TINUVIN 622 as a commercial stabilizer were investigated in this paper. UV light was used to irradiate PVC films for 300 h to test the photostability. After radiation, infrared spectra, weight loss, molecular weight reduction, and surface morphology examination for PVC films were studied. In comparison to blank film, the photodegradation of PVC films was significantly reduced by the naringin and TINUVIN 622 photostabilizers. The role of photostabilizers includes deactivating excited states (as quenchers), functioning as effective light filters (pigments and absorbers), scavenging radicals, and decomposing hydroperoxides.
