The paper presents a Scientometric analysis of publications of green electronics at global level during 1989 to 2014 as reflected web of science database. The study covers 7142 publications during the period. The study focused on author productivity, most used journals, sources, country, language etc.. It is found from the analysis that 92.31% of the articles were produced by multiple authors. It is found that the multi-author distribution is the most elevated contrast with single-author distribution. "Cederbaum LS" published highest number of articles for the study period. 91 percent of collaboration authors articles published during the study periods. Chinese Academy of Sciences had contributed the highest number of research publications. The USA country has the highest productivity and highest local and global citation scores measured. The study examines Oceanography Research in India as revealed by the scholarly publication indexed in Aquatic Science and Fisheries Abstract (ASFA) data base for a period of fifteen years from 2008 to 2013. It was seen that the analyses included research growth, author productivity, authorship pattern, Geographical distribution of the literature, global publications' share, of international collaborative papers and major collaborative partner countries and patterns of research communication in most productive journals. The study reveals that, most of the researchers preferred to publish their research results in journals; as such 61.78% of articles were published in journals, more numbers of articles were published in the year 2013. It is observed that author productivity is not in agreement with Lotka's law, but productivity distribution data partially fits the law when the value of Chi-square to 199.01. Further this study also identified to analyses coverage growth rates, coverage growth rates, source wise. The study deals with the Scientometric study on the publication of "Geochemistry". The records are collected from Web of Science Databases for the period of 1989-2020. A total of 2603 papers were identified in Web of Science database. The study reveals that, most of the researchers preferred to publish their research results in journal and more numbers of articles were published in the year 2019. The authorship trend shows that, out of total 2603 literature published, 92.5% of the publication published under the joint author. This study analyses the Indian Scientists contributions of research papers related to the topic in Data Mining was undertaken from Web of Science Databases has been used to retrieve the data for 22 years (1999-2020) by the searching the keyword "Data Mining". The study reveals that, most of the researchers preferred to publish their research results in journals; as such 88.59% of articles were published in journals. Purpose Changing climate has increasingly become a challenge for smallholder farmers. Identification of technical, institutional and policy interventions as coping and adaptation strategies and exploring risks of their adoption for smallholder farms are the important areas to consider. The aim of the present study was to carry out an in-depth analysis of adaptation strategies followed and the associated risk premium in technology adoption.Design/methodology/approach The study was carried out in the dryland systems of three Indian states – Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Rajasthan – and was based on a survey of 1,019 households in 2013. The flexible moment-based approach was used for estimating the stochastic production function, which allowed estimation of the relative risk premium that farmers are willing to pay while adopting the technologies to avoid crop production risks.Findings In all the three states, the risk premium (INR ha−1) was higher for farm mechanization compared to supplemental irrigation, except in the case of Andhra Pradesh. The higher the level of technology adoption, the higher the risk premium that households have to pay. This can be estimated by the higher investment needed to build infrastructure for farm mechanization and supplemental irrigation in the regions. The key determinants of technology adoption in the context of smallholder farmers were climatic shocks, investment in farm infrastructure, location of the farm, farm size, household health status, level of education, married years, expected profit and livestock ownership.Originality/value Quantification of the risk premium in technology adoption and conducting associated awareness programs for farmers and decision-makers are important to strengthen evidence-based adoption decisions in the dryland systems of India. Purpose - Researchers and policymakers are figuring out the adaptation technologies to cope with the changing climate. Adaptation strategies for crop production followed by the farmers at selected study locations had ranged from 6-30 per cent only, and this was mainly due to lack of awareness about the actual cost associated with adaptation and non-adaptation of these strategies. Design/methodology/approach - Hence, this study aims to address the cost of adaptation for rice using joint probability distribution of rainfall and crop prices. Findings - Cost of adaptation varied from INR2,389 to 4,395/ha for System of Rice Intensification (SRI); INR646 to 1,121/ha for alternate wetting and drying (AWD) and INR8.144 to 8,677/ha for well irrigation (WI), whereas expected cost for not using these technologies has ranged from INR6.976 to 9,172/ha for SRI; INR4.123 7,764/ha for AWD and INR10.825 to 17,270/ha for WI. Hence, promotion of the adaptation technologies itself will minimize the income losses to the farmers. Research limitations/implications - Even though, there are many ways for farmers (other than technology), to adapt to climate change (such as out-migration to cities, selling farm assets, focus on children's education, etc.), this report, given the framework of the major research study undertaken, addresses only farm-level adaptation of the technologies to enhance farm income. Originality/value - Public-private partnership in providing the technologies at cheaper costs, capacity building in handling the technologies and creating awareness about the technologies to minimize the expected cost of adaptation are suggested to improve the adoption level. Background: Despite demonstrated benefits and improved demand for telemedicine, adoption rates by U.S. ambulatory clinics remain low. There is a critical need to identify why telemedicine adoption rates remain low among ambulatory providers. Introduction: The aim of this study is to evaluate key predictors of telemedicine adoption by ambulatory clinics and assess salient differences between adopters and nonadopters. Three categories of predictors namely clinic characteristics, health information technology (HIT)-related factor, and organizational variables were examined. Materials and Methods: The study used data from a survey of 1,285 clinics in Minnesota (MN) that was collected by Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) in 2016. Exploratory statistical analyses as well as binary logistic regression analyses were carried out using SPSS software. Results: Fifty-five percent of ambulatory clinics in Minnesota had adopted telemedicine. Real-time consultations were adopted in over 26% clinics, remote patient monitoring in 15% clinics, and store-and-forward consultations in about 7% clinics. Originating site teleconsulting was prevalent in 27% clinics, whereas primary care and specialist services through teleconsulting were adopted by 23% clinics. Logistic regression revealed health system-owned clinics, rural clinics, and primary care ones to exhibit higher levels of telemedicine adoption. Clinics with paperless electronic health record (EHR) systems, health information exchange (HIE)-enablement, and better technological infrastructure had higher odds of telemedicine adoption. Furthermore, clinics that had redesigned their workflows also exhibited higher odds of telemedicine adoption. Clinics that faced high costs of telemedicine equipment, lack of demand had lower adoption levels. Clinics that faced high costs for hosting and staffing were more likely to adopt store-and-forward telemedicine and real-time patient monitoring rather than other high-end telemedicine services. Clinics that reported inadequate coverage or reimbursement were more likely to adopt a restrictive set of telemedicine services. Discussion: Telemedicine is not yet very prevalent among Minnesota ambulatory clinics. Over 45% of the clinics do not offer any telemedicine services. The barriers to adoption vary widely and pertain to HIT as well as organizational factors. Conclusion: With increased demand for telemedicine services, policy changes aimed at improving the reimbursement models, digital infrastructure for telemedicine, HIE capabilities, organizational efforts to move toward paperless EHR systems, and redesigning workflows can facilitate in accelerating telemedicine adoption.

This study was aimed at unravelling the molecular basis of root growth behavior in a drought-tolerant upland rice genotype, Nootripathu. Root tips of Nootripathu were found to possess shorter root caps and a greater number of dividing cells, favoring faster elongation compared to shallow-rooted IR20. Width and length of cortical cells in the roots of rapidly growing Nootripathu were found to be two to three times higher than IR20. Evaluation of shallow-rooted IR20, deep-rooted Nootripathu and their Recombinant Inbred Lines (RILs) for root characteristics revealed the presence of genetic variation for root traits among RILs. 2D-PAGE analysis of proteins in roots of IR20, Nootripathu and bulks of extreme RILs differing in root traits resulted in the identification of proteins co-segregating with root growth behavior and co-localized with QTLs for root traits. A putative candidate gene, OsARD4, encoding an "acireductone dioxygenase" was validated for its role in modulating the root growth pattern through genetic transformation. Transgenic ASD16 rice plants engineered for the overexpression of OsARD4 exhibited root growth characteristics similar to those of Nootripathu, including faster radical emergence, more rapid elongation of primary roots, early initiation of crown/lateral roots, and higher root biomass than the non-transgenic plants.

Kimura's disease is characterized by a triad of painless subcutaneous masses, eosinophilia in the peripheral blood and in tissues with marked increase in Serum Ig E. Angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia (ALHE) manifests with the presence of dermal papules and nodules. Unique clinical, histopathological, and biochemical findings are noted in these individual entities. A 32-year-female presented with multiple nodules in the axillae for 2 years. Peripheral smear showed eosinophilia with AEC of 6080. Histopathological examination showed features of overlap. Antinuclear antibody immunoflorescence was was negative. CD31, CD34, and FVIII were positive in vascular component. A CT chest revealed left axillary lymphadenopathy. The patient was treated with Cryotherapy and there was complete regression of skin lesions, with no recurrence after 1 year of follow-up. ALHE and KD are common in the head and neck region, but no reports of an overlap, presenting with lesions in the axillae are available to date, to the best of our knowledge. Response of skin lesions to cryotherapy is highlighted.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between parental efficacy and a new concept entitled parental monitoring efficacy, and to examine the association between parental monitoring efficacy and monitoring. We conducted two studies on two samples of Asian-Indian parents and adolescents living in Chennai, India. In the first study of 241 parents of adolescents in grades, 9-12, we constructed a new measure of parental efficacy that included two factors. The first factor, responding competently to negative adolescent behavior was more strongly predictive of parental monitoring efficacy than the second factor, instilling positive behavior. In the second study of 215 parents and adolescents in grades 10 and 12, parental monitoring efficacy predicted monitoring, especially adolescent disclosure and parental control.
