Geographical Indications in the Context of Manipur: A Case Study of Kachai Lemon

Geographical indications have proven to be the most contentious of all the intellectual property rights covered by the World Trade Organization’s Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights. The extension of enhanced protection to products other than wines and spirits/ as well as the multilateral system for notification and registration of geographical indications, are the two most contentious issues concerning Gls. This study is an attempt to understand these issues and a case study of Kachai Lemon.
