Six Sigma is a widely adapted quality improvement methodology applied throughout the world. Through this paper, an attempt has been made to identify Critical Success Factors (CSF) for successful implementation of Six Sigma in Pakistani Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). A survey methodology was used to collect the data from SMEs in Pakistan. The results of this exploratory empirical research reflect the importance of different CSFs of Six Sigma implementation in SMEs in Pakistan. On the basis of extracted factors, a framework has been proposed for successful Six Sigma implementation in Pakistani SMEs. This study will provide a base for Pakistani SMEs and future researchers working in Six Sigma implementation and help them to prepare a road map to eradicate the hurdles in Six Sigma implementation., {"references":["Haln, G. Küreselleşme ve rekabet KOBI' lerin yeni üretim, yönetim proses metodoloji arayışlarına zorlamaktadır. Hizmet sektöründe ve üretimde artış metodolojisi yalın düşüncedir.Dünyadaki Yalın üretim tekniklerindeki ilerleme olmuştur. Pakistan'da KOBİ' ler hala bu yarışın çok uzağındadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı Pakistan'daki KOBİ' lerin yalın uygulamaların analizidir. Pakistan daki KOBİ' lerin yalın uygulamaları önemli başarı faktörlerine faydaları olacaktır. Araştırmada Pakistan da küçük ve orta girişimcilerden toplanan veri metodolojisi kullanıldı. Araştırma Pakistan KOBİ' lerine kendi pozisyonlarını analiz ederek, diğer KOBİ' ler ile kıyaslama ve kendi performanslarını yalın uygulamalarla geliştirmelerini sağlayacaktır. Pakistan daki KOBİ' lerin yalın uygulamalar ile sorunların çözümünde yol haritası hazırlanarak, sonraki araştırmalara ışık tutacaktır. The main purpose of any economic investment is to get profit at the end. Investors and business holders invest in business or shares for wealth maximization. As the investment in large companies bears complexities, which influences investors to invest in small or medium enterprises which converts into medium or large companies at the later stage with profitability. The increasing competition because of the globalization is forcing SMEs to seek new methodologies and process for production and management. One of the methodologies which is gaining importance among manufacturing and service industries is Lean thinking. As the world is gaining much advancement in the lean manufacturing techniques. Pakistani SMEs are still far behind in this race. The purpose of this research is to analyze the lean implementation status in Pakistani SMEs. To get the insights of implemented lean practices, its benefits , barriers and critical success factors of lean in Pakistan SMEs, A survey methodology was used to collect the data from Small Medium Enterprise in Pakistan. This study will provide a base for Pakistani SMEs to analyze their position as compared to the other SMEs and help them to improve their performance in terms of lean practices. Also it will help future researchers working in Lean implementation to prepare a road map to eradicate the hurdles in Lean implementation in Pakistani SMEs. This research summarizes that Lean implementation needs to start from adopting basic lean tools. And while implementing lean in the companies there will be lots of barriers faced by companies which will show a negative influence on the lean implementation but those barriers can be overcome by working on some critical success factors which will have positive affect on the implementation of lean. The successful lean implementation will bring benefits to the SMEs and will affect different aspects of an organizations performance, in terms of Operations performance and business performance. 119

Bilgi yoğun bir ekonominin ortaya çıkmasıyla, uzmanlar, örgütlerde bilgi yaratma ve paylaşma konularıyla daha yakından ilgilenmeye başlamışlardır. Etkin bir şekilde bilgi yaratan ve paylaşan örgütler, küresel rekabet ortamında daha başarılı ve verimli olmaktadırlar. Buna karşın, örgütlerde bilgi yaratmakla ilgili her aşama, zaman alıcı ve karmaşık bir sürece sahiptir. Bu süreçte sosyal ağların ve bireyler arası ilişkilerin; bir başka ifadeyle sosyal sermayenin güçlü bir etkisi vardır. Bu etkiyi incelemek ve sosyal sermaye kavramını gerekli kuramlarıyla ortaya koymak bu çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır.Günümüzde sosyal ağların ortaya çıkması ile bilgi paylaşma şekli ve bilginin niteliği gittikçe değişmektedir. Sosyal sermayeyi bireyin ya da sosyal birimin sahip olduğu ağ ilişkilerinden türeyen, sosyal ağ ilişkileri içinde var olan potansiyel kaynakların toplamı olarak tanımlanabilir. Sosyal ağlar, ekonomik aktiviteyi çabuklaştırdığından ve kolaylaştırdığından değerli kaynaklardır, girişimcilerin daha verimli olmalarına ve ayrıcalıklı iş fırsatlarına erişmelerine olanak tanırlar ve yeniliklerin artmasını sağlar. Bunun sonucunda organizasyonel performansta artar. Sosyal sermaye ise organizasyondaki iş memnuniyetini, gücü ve anlaşmayı arttırarak işlerin tamamlanmasını kolaylaştırıp ve şirketin hedeflerine ulaşmasını sağlamaktadır. Ayrıca sosyal sermaye gruplar içinde ve gruplar arasında bireylerin birbirlerinin bilgi birikimlerinden yararlanmalarını sağlar.Her ne kadar araştırmalar, önemli ölçüde sosyal sermaye-performans arasındaki ilişkiyi, bilgi kazanımı gibi bağlantıları araştırarak anlamamızda bizi ileri seviyeye taşısa da, bilgi paylaşımının, sosyal sermaye-performans ilişkisi bağlantısındaki rolü hakkında çok az şey bilinmektedir.Ayrıca sosyal sermayeyi bireyler tarafından paylaşılan, geleceği olan ve üretken bir fon olarak tanımlamıştır. Bu fona yatırım yapıldığında veya böyle bir fon oluşturulduğunda işlem maliyetleri tüm katılımcılar için düşecek ve biriken bir refah sağlanacaktır.Bu çalışmanın temel amacı telekomünikasyon sektöründe sosyal sermayenin bilgi paylaşım yönelimi aracılığıyla şirket performansına etkisini inceleyen teorik modelin test edilmesidir. Anket tabanlı çalışmada kurulan model hipotezlerle test edilmiştir. Araştırmanın kapsamını Türkiye'deki telekomünikasyon sektöründe çalışan beyaz yakalı çalışanlar oluşturmaktadır. Bu kapsam dahilinde 281 çalışandan alınan verilerle yapılan analiz sonuçları; sosyal sermaye ve şirket performansının ilişkisinde bilgi paylaşımı yöneliminin aracılık rolü üstlendiğini göstermektedir. The emergence of a knowledge-intensive economy, experts have begun to deal more closely with knowledge creation and sharing issues in organizations. Organizations, which effectively create and share information, are more successful and efficient in the global competitive environment. However, in every step of creating information in the organization is a time-consuming and complex process. In this process, there is a strong influence with social networks and interpersonal relations, in other words with social capital. The objective of this study is observing the influence of the social capital concept with its theories. Nowadays, with social networks emerged, information sharing type and the quality of information are being changed day by day. Social capital is defined as the sum of the existing potential source of social network relationships, derived from social network relationships which is is owned by individuals or units. Entrepreneurs become more productive and allows them privileged access to business opportunities and lead to increased innovation. Increases likelihood of repeated interactions among agents as it can increase reputation of an enterprise, foster better diffusion of information that makes behavior more foreseeable and reduces uncertainty, influence professional success; Although these studies have significantly furthered our understanding of the social capital–performance relationship by exploring mediators such as knowledge acquisition, relatively little is known about the mediating role of information sharing in the social capital–performance relationship. Additionally, social capital is defined as shared by members, individuals, teams, organizations, has a future and is productive fund. When an investment made to or establish the fund, it can lead leveraging the cost of activities for all contributors and facilitate the welfare.The main focus of this study is testing the observation of theoretical model for mediation role of knowledge sharing and orientation between social capital and firm performance. A survey-based study had established and depending hypothesis was tested with the model.White-collar workers in the telecommunications sector in Turkey is the scope of the research.
