The focus is the analysis of some most popular social networks: Facebook, Instagram ect., and their capacity to gather information and narrations, to report mood and thoughts on the theme of inclusion. Given the time and resources invested in teacher professional development, it is important to find ways to extend positive outcomes over the long term. Judith Haymore Sandholtz, Cathy Ringstaff, and Jessica Triant investigated whether modest follow-up supports influenced the sustainability of outcomes for elementary school teachers who had previously participated in science education professional development programs. Results indicate that follow-up supports reversed declines (in the years after the professional development ended) in teachers' sense of preparedness to teach science, use of selected instructional strategies, and implementation of inquiry-based student activities in science. The levels of accessibility and accommodation for disabled theatre artists in Canada are diverse and varied. Without consistent infrastructures in place to support these artists, creative workarounds and new ways of creating have been developed. Becky Gold has worked with blind artist Alex Bulmer for nearly four years, navigating systems of support and accessibility (or lack thereof) within Bulmer's various artistic projects. Together, they have come to an understanding about what support means to them and how it can best be nurtured and evolve from one project to the next. Drawing from their experiences of working together in Canada as well as from Bulmer's previous experiences of support structures in the United Kingdom, this article highlights the need for support roles to be better understood as infrastructurally integral to the evolving culture of disability arts in Canada. In this literature review, I explore poverty, the barriers to participation that exist for students in poverty, and why this issue should matter to music educators. Research findings about students and poverty generally fall into three categories: logistics, teacher attitudes, and policy. I identify participation barriers in each of these categories and offer suggestions how they might be addressed. Overall, findings involving poverty and music education indicate that when teachers are well-supported at the micro and macro level by legislators, administrators, parents, and other teachers, most barriers can be reduced or eliminated, and participation increases. Background: The research investigated how helpful counselling was for people who self-identify as being bereaved through a substance-related death. Method: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with twenty bereaved participants. Interview data underwent a thematic analysis using Iterative Categorisation (Neale, 2016). Findings and conclusions: Participants' needs were many, varied and changed over time. They used many types of support to meet these needs. Both one-to-one and group counselling were helpful and each was used to meet different needs. Significant needs regarding the substance-related characteristics of these bereavements were often not recognised by participants and seemingly also their counsellors, so were not worked through. Unhelpful experiences of counselling occurred through poor practice and a lack of specialist knowledge about these bereavements. Recommendations: Nine are given to improve the helpfulness of counselling for these bereaved people, including recognising and working with the substance-related characteristics of bereavements or referring clients to other services for these. This paper describes how to construct a structure called a rough deduction-space. It is an extension of an approximation space, and incorporates a deduction relation related to data connections. In the rough deduction-space, a notion of data deduction is introduced and is referred to as rough data-deduction. Based on integrated information of both the upper approximation and the deduction relation, rough data-deduction accomplishes deductions from data to data, which is different from any logical deduction in mathematical logic. Research on rough data-deduction covers two activities: the rough data-deduction with respect to an equivalence relation and rough data-deductions with respect to different equivalence relations. The activities also concern the relationship between rough data-deduction and rough relations that are rough representations of the deduction relation. This leads to properties involving approximate features implied by rough data-deduction, and reflecting the characteristic that rough data-deduction can describe rough data-connections. In particular, since the research correlates closely to granules, it may offer an avenue of research on granular computing. As an example, a specific problem is modeled by a rough deduction-space. Abstract: The problem of rule evaluation is central to association and decision rule mining. In the literature, many attractiveness measures assessing the utility of discovered rules have been proposed. In particular, two-dimensional evaluation planes like support – confidence or support – anti-support are a frequently employed scheme. The inherent drawback of attractiveness measures is the necessity to provide a cutoff threshold which defines the minimal or maximal acceptable value of a given measure. Such threshold is usually unintuitive, meaningless and difficult to impose with objectivity. In this paper, we focus on the support – anti-support evaluation plane. We propose a methodology of simultaneously assessing statistical representativeness of both measures by performing multinomial tests on association or decision rules. The proposed approach combines assessing statistical soundness of the rules with an implicit eliciting of a threshold in both measures from the user. The latter is accomplished by employing the notion of a relative error in both support and anti-support. We evaluate the proposed method on a number of data sets and provide general conclusions. Abstract: A distribution is said to be conditionally specified when only its conditional distributions are known or available. The very first issue is always compatibility: does there exist a joint distribution capable of reproducing all of the conditional distributions? We review five methods–mostly for two or three variables–published since 2002, and we conclude that these methods are either mathematically too involved and/or are too difficult (and in many cases impossible) to generalize to a high dimension. The purpose of this paper is to propose a general algorithm that can efficiently verify compatibility in a straightforward fashion. Our method is intuitively simple and general enough to deal with any full-conditional specifications. Furthermore, we illustrate the phenomenon that two theoretically equivalent conditional models can be different in terms of compatibilities, or can result in different joint distributions.
