Teachers tend to rely too heavily on the content in textbooks. When hardback textbooks are used, the most common teaching practice is to have students read each chapter and regurgitate answers to the questions at the end of the chapter. Such an approach leaves little room for innovation, higher-order thinking, or truly informed debates on important issues if only one source is used. Digital materials, on the other hand, are by nature very flexible and can augment the classroom learning experience. Links and activities can be added to include current events, and key information can be updated easily. The Internet provides a wealth of online databases that contain valid and reliable resources. Imagine how teaching practices would change if teachers only used current multimedia-based materials with links to various resources.

The increasing popularity of the case study based pedagogy is driven by stricter benchmarks set by the accreditation agencies on the quality of teaching and teaching materials. There are considerable differences in the understanding and execution of the process of case method of education among faculty and students across institutions, as well as case writers, reviewers and publishers. This poses the challenge of non-standard delivery and learning outcomes. This paper attempts to understand the differences in use of the case method as a pedagogical tool, from the perspectives of the different stakeholders like students, the faculty and the case write. An open ended qualitative research was conducted till the data saturation was achieved. Abstract: A whiteboard can be an easy tool for collaboration such as brainstorming, and is widely used, but the content on a whiteboard is hard to archive and share. While digital cameras can be used to capture whiteboard content, the images are usually taken from an angle, resulting in undesired perspective distortion. They may contain other distracting regions such as walls and shadows. The visual quality of those images is usually poor. This paper describes a system that automatically locates the boundary of a whiteboard, crops out the whiteboard region, rectifies it into a rectangle, and corrects the color to make the whiteboard completely white. In case a single image is not enough (e.g., large whiteboard and low-resolution camera), we have developed a robust feature-based technique to automatically stitch multiple overlapping images. Today, 5.5 billion tons of carbon are released into the atmosphere every year from the burning of fossil fuels. Another 1.5 billion tons per year is released through land-use actions, such as deforestation. The United States is the biggest polluter on the planet. The U.S. represents 4% of the world's population, but it produces 25% of its greenhouse gases. The greenhouse effect is mainly caused by higher-than-normal levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Have students fold a sheet of paper in half and label the left side "Questions I Have About Global Warming" and the right side Answers from "My Reading." Ask students to fill in the left side before reading the cover story and the right side after reading. Suggest that they do further research to fill in any remaining blanks.
