U zaštitnim arheološkim istraživanjima nalazišta Lozan – Lendava kod Špišić Bukovice, koja su provedena u jesen 2019. godine, otkriveni su dijelovi infrastrukture kasnolatenskoga naselja. Nalazište je do sada bilo poznato kao kasnosrednjovjekovno gradište, no u istraživanjima ono nije potvrđeno. Infrastrukturu kasnolatenskoga naselja predstavljali su ostaci ukopanih objekata u kojima su pronađeni ulomci keramičkih posuda izrađenih na lončarskome kolu, no zabilježeni su i pojedini prepoznatljivi oblici koji su izrađeni rukom. Rezultati istraživanja u naselja u Lozanu odgovaraju dosadašnjim spoznajama o istovremenim naseljima oko Virovitice i Koprivnice te ukazuju na intenzivnu naseljenost Podravine tijekom kasnoga latena, odnosno krajem 2. i u 1. st. pr. Kr., The archaeological rescue excavations at the Lozan – Lendava site near Špišić Bukovica, carried out in the fall of 2019, uncovered parts of infrastructure of a Late La Tene settlement. The site used to be known as a late medieval lowland hillfort, but the excavations have not confirmed this. The infrastructure of the Late La Tene settlement was represented by the remains of buried structures containing fragments of wheel-thrown pottery, but there were also particular recognizable handmade shapes. The results of the excavations at the Lozan settlement agree with the known facts about the contemporary settlements around Virovitica and Koprivnica, indicating that the Drava Valley was intensively inhabited during the Late La Tène period, i.e. at the end of the 2nd and in the 1st century BC.

U radu se obrađuju nalazi keramičkih čaša s burga Vrbovca u Klenovcu Humskome. Život se na burgu odvijao od kraja 12. pa do kraja 15. stoljeća te potom početkom 16. stoljeća kada je na ruševnome burgu podignuta novovjekovna drvena kula u funkciji stražarnice, ali i svojevrsne plemićke kurije. Nalazi keramičkih čaša potječu iz stratigrafski istraženih arheoloških slojeva što nam uvelike pomaže pri određivanju njihove vremenske pripadnosti. Time materijal s burga Vrbovca predstavlja izuzetno značajnu komparativnu građu za proučavanje raznih segmenata arheologije kasnoga srednjeg vijeka na našem prostoru, ali i šire. U radu se donose i nove spoznaje o problematici određivanja radioničke pripadnosti pojedinih tipova i nalaza keramičkih čaša., This paper analyses the finds of ceramic cups from the medieval castle of Vrbovec in Klenovec Humski. The castle was inhabited from the end of the 12th to the end of the 15th century, and at the beginning of the 16th century, when a modern period wooden tower with the function of a watchtower, but also a sort of an aristocratic manor house, was erected on top of the dilapidated castle. Finds of ceramic cups originate from the stratigraphically excavated archaeological layers, enabling us to ascertain the period they belong in. The finds from the Vrbovec castle represent an extremely significant comparative material for the study of various segments of medieval archaeology in this area, but also beyond. The paper also presents new insights into the problem of ascertaining which workshop certain types and finds of ceramic cups originated from.

U članku se predstavlja nalaz visoke cilindrične čaše iz Iloka (Újlak) koji pripada Falke-skupini kamenjače, proizvedenoj u 15. stoljeću na krajnjem istoku Saske, na području povijesnih Lužica. Čaša iz Iloka predstavlja europski najjužniji nalaz Falke-skupine kamenjače. Nakon pregleda dosadašnjih spoznaja o Falke-skupini kamenjače, o njenoj dataciji i podrijetlu radionice, iločki nalaz uspoređuje se s ostalim europskim nalazima. Čaša je, svakako, bila inventarom viteške dvorane vojvode Lovre Iločkoga, a vjerojatno je pripadala još njegovu ocu Nikoli, graditelju palače Iločkih (Újlaki) u Iloku. Postavlja se pitanje jesu li ovaj luksuzni nalaz stolne keramike vojvode Iločki naslijedili još od svojih predaka., The article presents the find of a tall cylindrical beaker from Ilok (Újlak) belonging to the Falke group of stoneware, produced in the 15th century in the far east of Saxony, in the area of historical Lusatia. It represents the southernmost known example of Falke-group stoneware in Europe. After a review of previous knowledge of Falke-group stoneware, its dating and the origin of the workshop, the Ilok find is compared with other European finds. The beaker was certainly in the inventory of the knight’s hall of Duke Lawrence of Ilok, and it had probably already belonged to his father, Nicholas of Ilok, the builder of the Újlaki palace in Ilok. The question arises as to whether the Dukes of Ilok inherited this luxurious specimen of table stoneware from their ancestors.

Niz godina provode se na krajnjem sjeverozapadnome dijelu Hrvatskoga zagorja, kod Huma na Sutli, arheološko-konzervatorska istraživanja burga srednjovjekovnog naziva Vrbovec. Burg se, u rijetkim povijesnim vrelima, spominje u razdoblju od druge polovine 13. pa do u drugu polovinu 15. stoljeća. Arheološka su istraživanja dala podatke i o njegovu ranijem početku kao i o dužem trajanju, odnosno naknadnom korištenju srednjovjekovnog položaja u razdoblju ranoga novog vijeka, tj. u 16. stoljeću. Članak je posvećen upravo posljednjoj fazi korištenja ovog položaja u stambene i obrambene svrhe. Godine 2008. istraženi su ostatci drvenog objekta, stradaloga u požaru, a podignutoga na samim ruševinama srednjovjekovnoga burga. Stratigrafija slojeva te rezultati apsolutnih radiokarbonskih analiza datiraju drveno zdanje u razdoblje novog vijeka. Nalazi pećnjaka s prednjom bogato ukrašenom pločom upućuju na grijanje kaljevom peći te na viši standard korisnika objekta., Archaeological excavations have been carried out over a series of years in the northwestern-most part of the Hrvatsko zagorje region, at Hum na Sutli, at a castle whose medieval name was Vrbovec. Burg was mentioned in rare historical sources in the period from the second half of the 13th century to the second half of the 15th century. The excavations have resulted in data about its earlier beginnings, as well as its lengthier continuation, in fact a subsequent utilization if the medieval position in the early modern period, i.e. in the 16th century. The remains of a wooden structure, probably a tower destroyed by fire, were found at the site, built on the ruins of the medieval castle (Fig. 1). On the basis of the width of the foundation pit for this wooden structure, it can be concluded that this was a building constructed of massive wooden beams or the structure had several levels. The remains of a demolished tile stove were also found. The stove was covered with three types of tiles – tiles with a solid front decorative panel depicting a hunting scene (Fig. 2, Pl. 1/1), tiles with a perforated front panel decorated with architectural motifs (Fig. 3, Pl. 1/2), and simple bowl-shaped ties with a square opening (Fig. 4, Pl. 1/3). The first type of tile represents a copy of the kind of tiles that were found at the Celje castle, where they were dated to the last quarter of the 15th century and the transition from the 15th to the 16th centuries. On the basis of the stratigraphy of the finds, the typology of the stove tiles, and radiocarbon analyses, the tile stove from Vrbovec is dated to the second half of the 16th century. Although there is no specific mention of this in the historical sources, the early modern period horizon of the ruins at the medieval castle of Vrbovec should be tied to the aristocratic Rattkay family. Niz godina provode se na krajnjem sjeverozapadnome dijelu Hrvatskoga zagorja, kod Huma na Sutli, arheološko-konzervatorska istraživanja burga srednjovjekovnog naziva Vrbovec. Burg se, u rijetkim povijesnim vrelima, spominje u razdoblju od druge polovine 13. pa do u drugu polovinu 15. stoljeća. U kontinentalnoj Hrvatskoj, pa i na širem hrvatskom prostoru, istraženost ranosrednjovjekovnih ruralnih sredina u početnim je stadijima. Taj je horizont loše očuvan, uvelike uništen suvremenom intenzivnom poljoprivrednom obradom zemljišta. Velik doprinos poznavanju oblika ranosrednjovjekovnih kuća dala su novija velika zaštitna istraživanja na trasama cesta. I ta su istraživanja potvrdila konstataciju o slaboj očuvanosti ranosrednjovjekovnog horizonta na prostoru sjeverne Hrvatske – svega je nekoliko objekata očuvano u tolikoj mjeri da im se može rekonstruirati način gradnje. U radu se donosi prijedlog rekonstrukcije ranosrednjovjekovne kuće s lokaliteta Kiškorija jug kod Virovitice. Objekt pripada tipu poluukopanih jednoprostornih kuća s dva nosiva stupa i glinenom peći kružne ili ovalne osnove u uglu i datiran je u razdoblje od kraja 8. pa sve do kraja 9. stoljeća., The state of research on early mediaeval rural areas in continental Croatia, as well as elsewhere in Croatia, is only in the incipient stage. This horizon is poorly preserved and largely destroyed by modern intensive farming practices. Recent large-scale salvage investigations on motorway routes greatly contributed to the knowledge about the form of early mediaeval houses. These investigations corroborated the statement about the poor preservation of the early mediaeval horizon in northern Croatia – only a couple of structures were sufficiently preserved to allow a reconstruction of the method of their construction. In this paper we put forward a reconstruction of an early mediaeval house from the Kiškorija jug site near Virovitica. The structure belongs to the type of semi-sunken single-room houses with two supporting posts and a clay stove of circular or oval plan in a corner. It is dated to the period between the end of the 8th and the end of the 9th century.

U radu se objavljuju nova arheološka nalazišta, otkrivena uz rječicu Veliku, oko 5 kilometara istočno od Svetog Ivana Žabna. Nalazišta se opredjeljuju prema njihovom karakteru (naselja, utvrda) i smještaju u uži vremenski okvir na osnovi tipološko-kronološke analize keramičkih nalaza priku-pljenih prigodom rekognosciranja. Na lokalitetu Ladinec-Čatrnja ustanovljeno je veće naselje iz kasnog brončanoga doba. Položaj je bio nastanjen i u razdoblju mladeg zeljeznog doba, antike te u kasnom srednjem vijeku. Na blago povišenoj gredi kod sela Majur ustanovljeno je naselje iz razdo-blja neolitika, eneolitika i kasnoga brončanoga doba, a na manjoj površini zamijećeni su i nalazi koji upućuju na postojanje manjeg rimskog ruralnog naselja. Podno brežuljka, u močvarnoj dolini rječice Velike podignuta je zemljana utvrda zvana Belovar Hi Turski grad. Za čitav promatrani kraj načinjena je i analiza zračnih snimki kojom je potvrdena slika rasprostiranja arheoloskih tvorevina otkrivenih u arheološkim rekognosciranjima. Daljinskom interpretacijom otkriveni su i daljnji novi arheološki objekti, odnosno položaji., The paper brings new findings at archaeo¬logical sites located near the villages of Majur (Zagreb County, Commune of Farkaševac) and Ladinec (Koprivnica-Križevci County, Commune of Sveti Ivan Žabno), which are situated to the north and south of the Sveti Ivan Žabno-Bjelovar road. The findings are based upon typological and chronological analysis of pottery gathered during superficial field examination as well as aerial pho¬tos (Chart 1). Common features of these locations are gentle hills and rich water currents in the val¬leys, which made the area suitable for settlements. Special attention in this work is paid to the stream Velika that used to be of much greater importance than it is today. Fragments of pottery found in the western part of Ladinec-Čatrnja location(Fig.l:l) clearly show a settlement typical of the Virovitica cul¬tural group from the beginning of late Bronze Age, 14th -12th cent. BC (T.3). Pottery dating from the same period was found in the central part of Čatrnja (Fig.l:2) and in the eastern part called Zukve (Fig.l:3; T.4). The same locations are rich in pottery from the newer Iron Age.The same area hid fragments of ancient (T5:l-8) and late medieval pottery (T.6). At Majur location, in the upper layer to the north from the last houses the archaeologists discovered prehistoric settlements dating from ne-olitic, eneolitic and late Bronze Age, all belonging to Zagreb group that chronologically corresponds to Baierdorf-Velatice group from the Mid-Danube basin (fig.2:l; T l-2).In the farther northern part of the prehistoric site a lot of ancient pottery was located (T.5: 9-10), while late medieval pottery was discovered only sporadically (Fig.2:2). Op¬posite these upper positions, in the swampy valley there stand the remains of a medieval fortress named 'Grad / Town Belovar'.
