衛星搭載用の計算機では、放射線エラーに対する耐性を高めるためにモジュールを多重化し、多数決回路を用いることで冗長性を高める設計がよく行われる。しかし、従来のパラレルバス型の計算機の冗長化による配線量の急激な増加は、信号間の同期設計をより困難にするため、システムの動作速度を制限し、結果として計算機自体の性能向上を妨げる要因となってきた。本研究ではシステムの高性能化のために計算機バスがシリアル化されることを想定し、従来のデジタル論理回路式の多数決では対応できないような高速なシリアルバスに適用可能な多数決回路を提案する。本システムは高速光トランシーバと、光を合成する光カプラから構成され、伝送線路長などの最適化を行えば原理的には3Gbps程度のデータレートにも対応できるものである。実験では光通信用の機器を用いたシステムを構築して評価を行い、その結果1Gbpsのデータレートにおいて実際に多数決が取れることが確認できた。

2004年度打ち上げ予定の月探査衛星LUNAR-Aは、ペネトレータと呼ばれるプローブを月に設置し、月震観測を行うことによって月の内部構造を解明する予定である。ペネトレータ試験は1996年に開発のための放射パターン測定が行われ、2003年にFM同等品の確認試験がそれぞれ行われた。本研究の目的はTLM法により、月面にクレータが存在する状態でのべネトレータの放射パターンを数値解析し、ペネトレータ-母船間の通信回線計算に供することにある。この解析は大規模な実験を行うかわりに、様々な条件下の回線計算を可能にしている。

月探査機LUNAR-Aは宇宙科学研究所のM-Vロケット2号機により2004年度の打ち上げを目指して開発が進められている。LUNAR-A計画は母船と2機のペネトレータからなるシステムによって、月の地震を測定し、月の構造や起源を解明することを目的としている。ペネトレータは月貫入後、機体後端にあるアンテナによって、月表面下から母船と通信を行うことになる。アンテナ開発は1996年に行われ、屋外に創られた模擬月面を使った大規模な放射パターン測定実験が行われた。本報告では、実験では測定されなかったペネトレータ停止位置など多くのパラメータについてより詳細に解析して通信回線を詳細に把握することを目的としている。

本研究では、SRAM型FPGAとソフトコアCPUを用いた、信頼性と柔軟性に富む計算機システムを提案する。このシステムは、SRAM型FPGAの弱点である放射線耐性の弱さをシステムの3重冗長化でカバーし、書き換え可能なSRAM型FPGAの利点を宇宙環境でも十分に活用できるようにしたものである。検証の結果、提案システムが3重系として有効に機能し、放射線エラーからのシームレスな復帰も可能であることが示された。SRAM型FPGAがシステムにもたらす高い柔軟性は、設計開発が抱えるリスクを軽減し、更には開発から実装までのスムーズな移行を実現することによって高い信頼性と短期開発を可能とすると期待している。

ASTRO-G (Radio-Astronomical Satellite) will be launched for VSOP (VLBI Space Observatory Program)-2. ASTRO-G has to maneuver the attitude between target celestial-object and quasar alternately and quickly, because VLBI (Very Long Baseline Interferometry) observation requires calibration for phase fluctuations of atmosphere which changes fast. In addition, ASTRO-G will have a huge antenna to compose VLBI, which is a flexible structure and difficult to model. Therefore, in the ASTRO-G mission, attitude control system has to satisfy these challenging requirement: Agile maneuvering and flexible structures. In the current strategy of the attitude control system, feedforward control is mainly applied to ASTRO-G mission. In this strategy, reference called 'NME (Nil-Mode-Exciting) profiler' is proposed by Toshio Kamiya et al. to excite no flexible modes in agile maneuver. Authors, however, are concerned about unexpected disturbance, characteristics of actuators and sensors, noise and so on. On the other hand, feedback control is desirable because it can have robustness against unexpected disturbance. In this paper, we studied whether feedback control is applicable for ASTRO-G mission. Two DOF (Degree Of Freedom) control is applied to ASTRO-G's attitude control system: Robust H(sub infinity) control and NME profiler. The simulation results show the effectiveness of two DOF control system for the agile maneuvering with flexible structures., 電波天文観測衛星'ASTRO-G(Radio-Astronomical Satellite)'がVSOP-2(VLBI Space Observatory Program-2)計画のために2012年に打ち上げられる予定である。VLBI(Very Long Baseline Interferometry)観測における大気位相揺らぎ較正のため、ASTRO-Gは搭載アンテナを観測対象の天体とクエーサと呼ばれる較正天体に交互に指向する姿勢制御を行う必要がある。大気位相揺らぎが1分周期で移り変わるため、姿勢変更は1分周期という早い時間で行われる。また、搭載する直径8mの大型アンテナは柔軟構造として扱う必要がある。この様な大型な柔軟構造物はモーダルパラメータの同定が難しいと考えられ、ロバスト制御が必要とされる。この様に、ASTRO-Gの姿勢制御系には、柔軟構造のモデル化誤差に対するロバスト性を持ち、かつ高速な姿勢変更を行うことが要求される。現在、ASTRO-Gに対して、フィードフォワードを主とした制御系が考えられている。この方式では、フィードフォワード指令として、神谷らにより全く振動を励起しないNME(Nil-Mode-Exciting)profilerが提案されており、フィードフォワードのみの制御系でも姿勢変更を行うことが可能である。しかしながら、アクチュエータ、センサなどの特性により、振動が励起されてしまうのではないか、ということが懸念されている。そこで、本稿ではASTRO-Gの姿勢制御系に対し、フィードバック制御系の適用可能性を検討する。設計する姿勢制御系は、H(sub ∞)制御器とNME profilerにより構成される2自由度制御系である。数値シミュレーションにより、設計した2自由度制御系の評価を行い、フィードバック系の適用可能性を検討する。

This paper describes a brief overview and research results of ISAS/MHI (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries) space-application microelectronics development project. The collaboration between ISAS and MHI have been developing radiation hardened VLSI components with a 0.2-micrometer fully-depleted silicon-on-insulator technology, and provides them as basic design units called standard cells. Chip designers can create various types of radiation hardened VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) chips optimized for space research missions by properly combining the standard cells as they design conventional VLSI chips. The collaboration has also established an economically-efficient chip fabrication system. ElectroMagnetic Formation Flight (EMFF) for satellites in LEO (Low Earth Orbit) is discussed. EMFF is a technique to control the satellites' relative position using electromagnetic force without any propellants. It is estimated that the superconductive magnets have capability to produce required magnetic force for formation keeping. The problem to use EMFF in LEO is the huge amount of disturbance torque, caused by enormous magnetic moment and earth magnetic field. Sinusoidal driving of the superconductive coil is proposed for this issue, and novel method is also proposed for magnetic force control using phase difference between the magnetic moments. Proposed methods are evaluated with experiments with actual superconductive coil, and hardware in the loop simulations is also carried out to demonstrate the relative position control capability of proposed system.

INDEX(INnovative-technology Demonstration EXperiment)衛星は、小型3軸科学衛星のための先進的衛星技術の開発/実証を目的とした小型衛星である。また同時に、オーロラの光学カメラと粒子の同時観測による微細構造の解明を行う、という理学的目的を有している。軌道は高度600〜650kmの太陽同期軌道を予定しており、重量は約70kgである。INDEXの開発は、インハウス的なアプローチを積極的に取り入れて行われていることが特色である。以下、各サブシステムの概要と進捗状況を報告する。

Lithium-ion batteries area candidate for the energy storage system onboard low-earth-orbit satellites. Terrestrial experiments are able to capture the performance degradation of cells in orbit, therefore providing the opportunity for lifetime investigations. The lifetime performance of 3 Ah commercial LixMn2O4-based pouch cells was evaluated in a matrix of different cycling depths-of-discharge (DODs: 0, 20,40%) and temperatures (25, 45 degrees C). Aged cells were disassembled and the electrochemical performance of harvested electrodes investigated with two- and three-electrode pouch cells. The positive electrode had a larger decrease in capacity than the negative electrode. Both the positive and negative electrode contributed to the increase of cell impedance measured at high states-of-charge (SOCs). The data at low SOCs indicated that the increase of cell impedance was associated with the positive electrode, which showed a significant increase in the magnitude of the high-frequency semi-circle. This SOC-dependence was observed for cells cycled for either extended periods of time or at higher temperatures with a 40% DOD swing. Low-current cycling of positive electrodes revealed a change in the second potential plateau, possibly reflecting a structural change of the LixMn2O4. This could impact on the electrode kinetics and provide a possible explanation for the SOC-dependent change of the impedance., QC 20100618. Uppdaterad från submitted till published (20100709).

Lithium-ion batteries are a candidate for the energy storage system onboard low-earth-orbit satellites. Cycle life performance under both orbital and terrestrial conditions must be investigated in order to evaluate any inadvertent effects due to the former and the validity of the latter, with a successful comparison allowing for the extension of terrestrial experimental matrices in order to identify the effects of ageing. The orbital Performance of LixMn2O4-based pouch cells onboard the microsatellite REIMEI was monitored and compared with terrestrial experiments, with the cells found to be unaffected by orbital conditions. A lifetime matrix of different cycling depths-of-discharge (DODs: 0,20,40%) and temperatures (25, 45 degrees C) was undertaken with periodic reference performance tests. A decrease in both the cell end of-discharge cycling voltage and capacity was accelerated by both higher temperatures and larger DODs. Impedance spectra measured for all ageing conditions indicated that the increase was small, manifested in a state-of-charge dependent increase of the high-frequency semi-circle and a noticeable increase in the high-frequency real axis intercept. An evaluation of the change of both the resistance and capacity of 3 Ah cells led to the development of a potential prognostic state-of-health indicator.
