This study presents the investigation of the innovative virtual application developed for cultural education through museum collections. It's designed as an innovative virtual museum model for learning media containing various contents. Furthermore, it integrates machine learning to predict student interests which are expected to be effective in improving cognitive performance. The conceptual model design is continued with the development of an innovative virtual museum application tested on students, and the effectiveness was evaluated by taking a sample of N1 = N2= 32 participants in experimental and control group. Meanwhile, the pre-test and post-test were conducted to measure the user's cognitive performance before and after using the innovative virtual museum application. The experimental group results show that the proposed application strongly affects students' cognitive performance improvement in cultural education. The effect size value is 1.396, where the average score of post-test = 57.946 and the standard deviation = 21.421. Therefore, the proposed application strongly affects museum learning, while the t-test results show a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

STEAM education has significant impacts on improving preschoolers' learning engagement, cognition, confidence, and innovative thinking skills. The integration of content about local culture into STEAM projects also triggers students' awareness and engagement with surrounding communities and societies. However, teachers' competencies and willingness to implement STEAM activities are irreplaceable in determining STEM projects' frequency and effectiveness. This dataset surveyed 754 preschool teachers across ten cities and provinces in Vietnam from 8 Apr 2022 to 15 May 2022. The dataset includes seven main sections: (i) Demographics; (ii) Teachers' know-how about STEAM education; (iii) Teachers' competencies; (iv) Conditions to implement STEAM projects; (v) School policies; (vi) Local culture factors integrated with STEAM projects; and (vii) Teachers' willingness to implement STEAM education.

Moral education is the core duty of colleges and universities, and culture education is the mission and advantage of academic libraries. Academic libraries are rich in culture heritage and resources. This paper summarizes the two major channels of culture education for academic libraries, namely environment nourishment and activity cultivation, and the two major ways, namely enculturation and acculturation. In order to explore the mechanism of culture education in academic libraries further, this paper, based on the perspective of learning service activities, analyzes from four aspects, including spiritual interconnection of a scene, synergy of two forms (resource service form and quality development form), dynamic integration of three elements (situations, resources and scaffolding), and overall display of four characteristics (symbiotic synergy of elements, immersion of overall education, spiral of interactive progression, and dynamic generation of community), and meanwhile exemplifies the four aspects with the successful practices of the Dazhao Reading Room in the Peking University Library in carrying out revolutionary culture education. Language is the product of culture, and culture is created, changed, and developed through language. By integrating language culture and educating learners, practical language education can be completed. For this integrated education of language and culture, I present the teaching method in actual class using media advertisements. This paper aims to analyse the text and images of marriage culture in Korean textbooks used in English-speaking countries to reveal the underlying social values, beliefs and ideology. I will analyse what Korean textbooks select as a “traditional and formal marriage” culture, how they describe it (who is being highlighted or excluded), and whose viewpoint is represented. According to the analysis, Korean textbooks’ marriage culture involved the “Confucian patriarchal ideology” centred on male adults, which is one of Korea’s major ideologies, and the “romantic love ideology” to conceal the fact that modern materialism has a stronger influence on marriage than love. This tendency is still marked by patriarchal ideology, and often a patriarchal ideology appears with a romantic love ideology. Through these ideologies, textbooks describe the values of happiness and successful marriage; however, this paper discovered the other side of marriage, where women, poorer and less advantaged people are alienated and materialism is valued.

This study investigates the position, content and pedagogy of Landeskunde in proficiency skills-focussed Dutch foreign language teaching. It analyses the course book used most frequently in Dutch secondary education for German as a foreign language: Neue Kontakte. This research examines the position of cultural content in course materials and in explicitly formulated learning goals. Moreover, it is investigated what cultural content is introduced and whether this is either integrated in language proficiency training and connected to the world of the learners. The results show that Neue Kontakte offers a broad range of cultural topics which are either linked to the Netherlands or Dutch or to the learners' personal environment. Additionally, Landeskunde is integrated in language proficiency exercises. On the other hand, its status is considered weak; no cultural learning goals are formulated and hardly any repetition of cultural content and little critical reflection on the foreign and the own culture are observed. India is a diverse country. The Constitution of India has made secular education mandatory for the state. This provision of the Constitution means that any curriculum designed for schools run by the state must uphold secular ethics. The inclusion of culture education in school curricula poses some very important questions. How do we select what goes into the curriculum? How do we ascertain whether it remains inclusive of all member cultures? How do we determine the preparedness and cultural sensitivity of teachers? Most importantly, how do we address the intertwined relationship between culture and religion? This paper is a critique of the CABE Committee report that recommends the inclusion of culture education in school curricula. This critique regards the recommendations of the report through the twin lenses of established pedagogical practices and the existing socio-political scenario. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Thesis. The main assumption of the article is the fact, that film culture as a part of popculture is a space of many educational and soqalization opportunities. Discussed concepts. In the article I distincted terms: „popculture" and „mass culture", and characterized them as a space of learning and socializing. Also, I adduced the concept of a film culture being one of the mass media and described consequences o this phenomenon. In the end, I analised how educational reception of a film culture can look. Conclussions. Conceptions adduced by me in the article proves that treating both popculture and a film culture as a full-fleged and incredibly attractive space of learning is well-founded. Cultural education is a fundamental, often overlooked part of learning a language. Teaching culture in the EFL classroom, however, remains a challenge because culture is a complex and evasive concept. Ideally, maximal exposure of the learner to the target culture would be interacting directly with the native speakers. In the classroom, however, the sociocultural context can be re-created. A literature of a nation, one may claim, incorporates a major part of its cultural heritage. The main objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between the achievements of EFL learners through exposure to culture via reading the simplified version of a literary text plus (for the experimental group) watching its filmic adaptation. This goal was met by asking the students to take multiple-choice tests based on the literary text. The results indicated that using cultural tools enhances learners' achievement in different regards, including reading comprehension, its durability, and the degree of the student satisfaction. The researchers from a wide range of countries devote a considerable attention to socio-cultural activity in a community emphasising the educative function of arts as crucial in developing individual's spiritual world and his/her perception of values. The purpose of socio-cultural activity is to allow for individual's social and cultural activity in the society.
