3. The “Reason for Being” or Justification of Jewish Existence: A Reading of Emmanuel Levinas’s “Être juif”.

In 1947, Emmanuel Levinas published a short essay entitled “Being Jewish” (“Être juif”) in the magazine Confluences. Starting from a reflection on “the Jewish question” or “problem” (Judenfrage), Levinas inquiries into the “reason for being” or justification of Jewish existence. His essay has been the subject of a reappropriation by some interpreters who make Levinas’s claim of “being Jewish” the fulcrum of an ontological conversion or Heideggerianization of his thought. This paper aims to critically analyze one of these hermeneutic perspectives, that of Sarah Hammerschlag, addressing two decisive questions opened by Levinas’s text: Jewish identity and Judaism in history. An alternative approach to the 1947 text is set out, which involves another way of understanding the meaning of Levinas’s analysis of being Jewish. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Teacher identity has gained global attention as a construct of interest due to its potential to explain teacher attitudes and behaviors. Despite this growing interest, few studies have explored the implementation of qualitative methodologies in the empirical study of teacher identity. The objective of this study was to investigate how Cultural-Historical Activity Theory (CHAT) and Grounded Theory (GT) are utilized in empirical research on teacher identity. To achieve this, we followed the PRISMA model guidelines for systematic reviews, establishing inclusion and exclusion criteria for the bibliographic search, such as publication date and the nature of the research. The final analysis included 31 research articles. The results identify patterns in the objectives, data collection techniques, and analysis methods used in both approaches within the context of empirical studies on teacher identity. 5. Reflections on racialisation's impact on research: Insights from a study of Muslim radicalisation in Norway.

Sociologists have studied the causes and consequences of collectively blaming and negatively portraying Muslims, but less attention has been paid to how collective blaming and negative descriptions affect researchers' categorisations of such vilified groups. Drawing on 22 months of fieldwork with Muslim men in Norway, I elucidate how racialisation can influence interactions in field research when studying a controversial subject with a racialised group. I identify three patterns in which racialisation affects field interactions: accepting a racialising view, defending the racialised group and developing a shared story between a researcher and participants. I argue that, in this case, desires to present positive views of Islam and Muslims, attempts to distance oneself from religious extremism and attempts to categorise radicalised Muslims as neither Norwegians nor Muslims illustrate racialisation's influence. My findings suggest that racialised understandings enter field interactions but remain opaque unless the researcher reflects upon their own and participants' positionality and membership in a racialised group. I conclude that shared experiences of racialisation between a researcher and the participants deepen the researcher's understanding while limiting enquiry. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

El paisaje lingüístico en contextos educativos indígenas motiva procesos de enseñanza de lenguas originarias y fortalece la identidad cultural de toda la comunidad educativa. En el caso de Oaxaca, México, los profesores del nivel de educación indígena (inicial, preescolar y primaria), desarrollan diferentes tipos de paisaje lingüístico como herramienta pedagógica bilingüe, comunitaria e intercultural. Este artículo describe los tipos de paisaje que los docentes producen para fortalecer sus procesos de enseñanza en la lengua indígena y promover la identidad en las aulas de las escuelas indígenas de este estado. Con un enfoque cualitativo se realiza el análisis de algunas imágenes del paisaje lingüístico producido por los docentes y las características de cada caso. Los resultados se muestran que sobresalen tres tipos de paisajes: 1) promover el aprendizaje de temáticas escolares en lengua indígena; 2) desarrollar la escritura alfabética en la lengua indígena; 3) fortalecer el conocimiento cultural y comunitario. A partir de ello, se concluye que el paisaje lingüístico como herramienta pedagógica en las aulas de escuelas indígenas de Oaxaca emerge de las necesidades contextuales de los docentes y, gracias a su trabajo pedagógico comunitario, estos paisajes se encuentran en constante actualización e incorporación de una variedad infinita de signos.

Se presenta una investigación sobre la universidad posmoderna y como se identifican sus posibles implicaciones ante un cambio de paradigma institucional. El objetivo fue analizar las implicaciones del paso de una universidad moderna a una universidad posmoderna. Para lograr este objetivo se diseñó una investigación cualitativa desde la Teoría Fundamentada desarrollando el muestreo teórico, la comparación y codificación y la reinterpretación paradigmática y síntesis de la información a partir de las siguientes categorías de análisis: 1) la universidad moderna en un mundo posmoderno, 2) las consideraciones para la definición de universidad posmoderna, y 3) la identidad profesional del docente en un contexto posmoderno, concluyendo que la transición hacia una universidad posmoderna exige asumir cambios profundos para adaptarse a los tiempos y al contexto.

La pregunta por la identidad biográfica ha llegado a ser una de las ideas fuerza de nuestro tiempo y ha transformado nuestra propia intimidad. Es lógico pensar que también tiene su lugar en la experiencia cristiana de hoy. Tras una descripción de su definición, elementos y dinamismos, este trabajo pone en paralelo una doble búsqueda. Por una parte, describe cuál es el lugar de esta pregunta en la experiencia cristiana buscándola en testimonios de jóvenes o materiales preparados para ellos. Por otra, realiza una indagación de esta cuestión en la propuesta del magisterio del papa Francisco sobre la santidad al Pueblo de Dios y, especialmente, a los jóvenes. Sobre estos dos caminos, el trabajo termina con un balance teológico y una prospectiva pastoral en los que se sacan a la luz los núcleos teológicos que deben ser profundizados para ofrecer un cristianismo inculturado en este momento cultural.

Nuestra investigación analiza la problemática de la inmigración latinoamericana ilegal a los Estados Unidos desde un corpus narrativo literario peruano: la novela Ma´ negra, la trotamundos (2022), de José Campos Dávila, y dos cuentos: “La mujer de la frontera” y “Las sombras y las mujeres”, pertenecientes al libro de relatos Los sueños de América (2000), de Eduardo González Viaña. En ese sentido, nuestro objetivo es analizar dos tópicos: 1) la importancia y el poder del documento, el cual implica no solo la arista legal, sino que también las estructuras culturales; 2) la homogeneidad y heterogeneidad cultural del pueblo latinoamericano. Toda esta reflexión hermenéutica nos permite aseverar que aquellos que toman la decisión de emigrar a los Estados Unidos de manera ilegal, les espera grandes obstáculos: materiales, legales y culturales.

En la legislatura de Entre Ríos, catorce meses después de la asunción de la fórmula gubernamental ‘Maya-Chaile’, el sector laborista presentó un proyecto de pedido de juicio político al primer gobernador peronista, Héctor Maya. Mediante el estudio de este hecho, nos proponemos analizar el vínculo y la interacción entre peronistas y la vida política interna de modo situado. El fenómeno estudiado constituyó un punto de condensación de los conflictos que se acentuó entre abril y agosto de 1947. Tuvo efectos concretos en cambios gubernamentales a la vez que produjo una división del bloque peronista en el recinto parlamentario. Para la realización de este trabajo, relevaremos el debate sobre el pedido de juicio político presentado en la legislatura provincial a partir de la presentación de los proyectos legislativos vinculados al fenómeno en cuestión. Realizaremos un seguimiento de estos acontecimientos mediante la prensa local de Paraná.

El presente artículo se enfoca en la problemática de la falsa atribución de paternidad y la necesidad de indemnización por daño moral en casos específicos. Teniendo como principal objetivo determinar si corresponde indemnización por daño moral a razón de la falsa paternidad. Para lo cual se utilizó un enfoque cualitativo y diseño descriptivo, aplicándose entrevistas a diez abogados especialistas en Derecho de Familia. Uno de los resultados más relevantes fue que, al descubrirse la falsa atribución de paternidad, sí existe daño moral, originando una afectación al derecho a la identidad, creencia de falsa filiación, se mancilla el deber de fidelidad y creación de una responsabilidad civil. En ese sentido, la problemática plantea no solo un desafío legal, sino también una violación palpable de derechos fundamentales, por lo que una compensación económica por el daño debe ser prioritaria como forma de reparación del daño moral.

¿La expresión visual puede concebirse como un medio de protesta? ¿En qué consiste la dimensión política de la imagen? El surgimiento de las actuales revueltas muestra la eficacia de los signos y mensajes visuales en su poder de circulación, en tanto símbolos que utilizan soportes específicos (muros, monumentos, edificios patrimoniales) para hacer tangibles las demandas de los grupos sociales. En la actualidad, los mensajes visuales reflejan un vitalismo societal, la escritura y los grafitis en los muros de nuestras metrópolis cuestionan la relación entre el espacio público y la ciudadanía; la intervención estética sobre la ciudad es forma expresiva de interpelación política. Los mensajes visuales de protesta son narraciones que contribuyen al relato social sobre el patrimonio, expresado a través de un imaginario de índole identitario donde confluye lo emocional y lo sensible.

16. Aplicación de la justicia indígena en las comunas ancestrales de la Península de Santa Elena, Ecuador

La justicia indígena, es reconocida y aceptada por nuestra norma Constitucional como un ordenamiento jurídico paralelo al ordinario, en observancia al principio constitucional del reconocimiento de la multiplicidad étnica. Es utilizada dentro de las Comunidades Indígenas, entre otros motivos, para facilitar la proximidad de los protagonistas de los acontecimientos con el organismo encargado de impartir la justicia. Debido a esta funcionalidad que la caracteriza, es aplicada como medio de resolución de conflictos de diversa índole, en las organizaciones comunitarias señaladas; sin embargo, podría también ser adaptada para su aplicación dentro de las comunas ancestrales de la costa ecuatoriana. La factibilidad de su aplicación estaría dada en función de su forma de organización administrativa dentro del territorio comunal, ante la existencia de un Gobierno Comunal que tiene competencia sobre asuntos variados, que van desde la asignación de tareas para el mantenimiento de la comuna hasta decisiones sobre la permanencia en la misma de algún comunero que ha cometido alguna falta, situaciones que están relacionadas con el diario acontecer de los habitantes de las Comunas. En esta investigación, recopilamos información relacionada con las particularidades que conforman la justicia indígena relacionadas con su definición y aplicación; así como también la normativa respectiva sobre este ordenamiento jurídico y la organización de las comunas.

En este artículo se presentan los resultados de una investigación doctoral cuyo objetivo fue generar aproximaciones teóricas a las paradojas que surgen en la Educación Física frente a la diversidad de géneros. Dicha disciplina se basa en las ciencias, el sentido común y la evidencia observable; educa al ser humano en movimiento. De ahí la importancia de develar los significados otorgados por los informantes ante la introducción en el ámbito escolar de una ideología que emplea el género como marca de identidad sentida y desestima el saber científico. Se adoptó un enfoque cualitativo, utilizando un método fenomenológico hermenéutico enmarcado en un paradigma interpretativo. Se aplicó como instrumento la entrevista semiestructurada a tres docentes licenciados en esta disciplina, dos de ellos vinculados a la educación pública y el tercero a la decanatura en la educación superior. Como resultado se constató que la Educación Física es una disciplina pedagógica interdisciplinaria con una visión propia de la axiología del ser humano, y se identificaron siete paradojas a las que se enfrenta el profesorado.

Los sistemas de gestión estratégica han evolucionado junto a los cambios en el manejo de tecnología y redes, lo que ha generado estereotipos en la conducta de las consumidoras en Arequipa-Perú, distorsionando la autoestima; las redes sociales se han encargado de formar modelos en diversas manifestaciones, transformando su identidad. El objetivo de la investigación es analizar estereotipos de belleza femenina difundidos como mensajes publicitarios por la red social Facebook, generando modelos distorsionados de la realidad de belleza femenina, en las consumidoras en Arequipa-Perú. El enfoque metodológico es cuantitativo correlacional transeccional, aplicando una encuesta virtual a 382 ciudadanas entre 18 y 25 años. Los resultados determinan que los estereotipos de belleza física con facciones definidas, de tez clara, figura delgada, estatura alta y con piernas delgadas, no representan a las mujeres locales, forzando modelos que distorsionan su identidad; otro aspecto relevante es el estilo de vida actual que incide en el comportamiento de las consumidoras jóvenes de Arequipa-Perú, concluyendo que son el tipo de público de las tiendas de ropa que, aunque a veces están atentas a las tendencias de moda, suelen preocuparse por su imagen personal y en ocasiones por la exclusividad de las prendas que les brinda experiencias satisfactorias.

Este artículo pretende presentar algunas reflexiones sobre la necesidad urgente de considerar el derecho a la memoria como un derecho a la ciudad en un país como Brasil, donde las medianas y grandes aglomeraciones, además de poner de relieve preocupantes problemas de vulnerabilidad social y ambiental, están más sujetas a las lógicas de un capital inmobiliario cada vez más agresivo. Las exigencias de un mundo marcadamente neoliberal abandonan la idea de la ciudad como bien cultural, guiada por la calidad de vida en el ambiente urbano. Considerando que la construcción de la memoria se apoya en el espacio y en las imágenes espaciales, la calidad de vida es fundamental para fortalecer los sentidos de pertenencia e identidad. En una realidad cada vez más urbana, es necesario defender el derecho a la memoria como derecho a la ciudad, por medio de su patrimonio ambiental urbano, o sea, no solo como derecho a condiciones de vida dignas, sino también como derecho a un entorno urbano de calidad, que se traduzca en paisajes culturales con valores sociales reconocibles.

El “Té Galés” en el valle inferior del río Chubut (Argentina) no solo refiere a un tipo de comensalidad específica, vinculada al consumo de té acompañado por tortas, panes y dulces caseros, sino que, por un lado, constituye un recurso turístico-comercial; y por el otro, es un vehículo para reafirmar la pertenencia histórica, territorial y política de los descendientes de los colonos galeses en la región. En este trabajo nos proponemos indagar etnográficamente en las tensiones construidas en torno a los discursos turístico-patrimoniales sobre el té galés y su repostería en el noreste de la provincia de Chubut. Para ello se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas, abiertas e individuales a los propietarios de cuatro emprendimientos y a funcionarios estatales; así como registros de observación participante en distintos servicios de té; y un relevamiento de fuentes oficiales, prensa escrita y redes sociales.

En este texto me propongo caracterizar la manera en que el escritor cubano Jorge Enrique Lage configura La Habana. El análisis propuesto busca reconocer en la novela de este autor, Carbono 14. Una novela de culto, las estrategias de configuración de la ciudad habanera, a partir de los personajes que en ella aparecen. Parto de la premisa de que el escritor construye un relato que pone en marcha la identidad y la especificidad habaneras y las reenvía a otros universos deslocalizados al intercambiar y traducir referentes. Los sujetos de La Habana en esta escritura de Lage, errantes, exiliados, migrantes, turistas, robots y zombiestransplantan comportamientos, transcodifican imágenes de aquí y de allá y construyen un relato portátil, movible y expandido del terruño en el que es difícil ubicar una identidad. In this text I propose to characterize the way in which the Cuban writer Jorge Enrique Lage configures Havana. The proposed analysis seeks to recognize in this author’s novel, Carbono 14. Una novela de culto, the strategies of configuration of the Havana city, based on the characters that appear in it. I start from the premise that the writer constructs a story that sets in motion the identity and specificity of Havana and forwards them to other delocalized universes by exchanging and translating referents. Subjects in Lage’s writing, wanderers, exiles, migrants, tourists, robots, zombies transplant behaviors, trans-code images from here and there and build a portable, movable and expanded account of the terroir in which it is difficult to locate an identity.

En el presente artículo se explora el impacto del auge gastronómico en los procesos de gentrificación en Lima, Perú, durante las últimas dos décadas. Se trata de una investigación etnográfica realizada en 2012, 2014 y 2016, en la urbanización de Santa Cruz, que solía ser un barrio obrero ubicado en el distrito Miraflores. El enfoque central es el análisis de las narrativas personales de cambio y pertenencia de las personas residentes, trabajadoras y visitantes de la zona, apoyado en la práctica fotográfica. Se basa en la experiencia de Carlos, un joven actor que después de vivir varios años en Londres regresa al Perú para emprender y tomando ventaja de los precios competitivos en Santa Cruz, abre una panadería gourmet en el barrio. Tomando la idea de “imaginación cosmopolita”, se muestran las distintas formas en las que Carlos recontextualiza su experiencia en Londres en la especificidad de La Mar, negociando los límites, significados y valores de los lugares, personas y prácticas culturales que surgen al habitar este espacio de cambio. Finalmente, la panadería de Carlos se transforma en un punto de encuentro para vincular o negociar distintas estrategias y experiencias de pertenencia a la zona, materializando dinámicas de poder que emergen dentro y fuera del negocio, marcando así la mercantilización de Santa Cruz.

Much has been written about the strategies that can be applied to promote learning based on artistic skills, but it is striking that the poetic process contained in art on which it is possible to obtain existential learning in general is not explained, nor in the basic education student, specifically. Firstly, this article reveals, through documentary research, that the importance of the creative process is limited to the projection of representations and cognitive schemes, as if learning through art had rationalist objectives. Secondly, it is proposed to explain the importance of artistic motivation in the educational process by exploring the existence of knowledge through and from the body, and not only in the use of cognition. To do this, the significance of the creative process in Gilles Deleuze’s notions of body, repetition and identity will be explained. This reflection calls for the development of emotional individuality through participation and critical thinking as essential elements for learning artistic skills, through Latin American pedagogical design. So promoting the learning of artistic skills involves the construction of an intersubjectively provoked identity. The pedagogical design, if it is consubstantial with the nature of art, must condition the social relationship model of the predominant social, cultural and educational structure, especially in the world of the child in Basic Education. Anniversaries occupy an important place in the dynamics of Argentine schools. Their origin dates back to the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, when they were installed by the State as tools for social cohesion and construction of a homogeneous national identity. Currently, didactics discusses their link with the disciplinary teaching of Social Sciences, as well as their capacity to generate new meanings. In this framework, October 12th is a key date by which different readings of the past are called into question. "Day of race," which was established in 1917, has been historically approached from the European perspective of discovery. Within a framework of different claims, its name was changed in 2010, when it became the "Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity", thus opening the door to new meanings and possible approaches. This article aims to delve into the ways in which the October 12th anniversary is worked on in two institutions in the south of Córdoba: one at Preschool and the other at the Primary Level. We seek to identify the links between the commemoration and teaching discipline, the sense of identity that is put into play, and the place given to regional history in the reconstruction of the past. The process of coming out as gay, lesbian, or transgender parents is just one of the available options. In general, many individuals in the LGBTQ+ community choose to keep their sexual identity private to avoid potential challenges for their children, such as bullying in schools. This is particularly common in stepfamilies or in previous heterosexual unions, where concealing their sexual orientation may be more comfortable. They can present themselves as separated parents, which is commonly assumed to be heterosexual, and the sexual orientation of parents is usually not investigated before their children enter school. Given this uncertainty, this study aims to identify the triggering factors of school bullying related to parents' sexual identity, analyzing their interaction as a neutrosophic set and modeling it through neutrosophic statistics. The conclusions suggest that the government should consider reforming existing policies for the benefit of transgender parents' children. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In response to the questions "How do homeless people die in Chile?" and "What happens to their memories and their bodies after their demise?", we analyze sustainable development goals with an emphasis on inequality reduction (SDG10), addressing aspects of the whole life cycle, especially economic, social, and cultural differences at the time of death, in an attempt to make visible a problem that has been rendered doubly invisible (in life/death). Our study follows the methodological guidelines of the qualitative research, benefiting from documentary support, a literature review, and an exploration of this topic in the Chilean press. The novel aspect of the study is that it combines a largely conceptual approach linked to the notion of death on the street with concrete experiences such as those of the Street People Foundation [Fundación Gente de la Calle] and Dignity Mausoleum [Mausoleo Dignidad]. The article also includes debates and reflections conducted as part of a discussion cycle organized alongside key actors, emphasizing the scope and challenges of this topic with a view to the recovery of memory and the right to identity, while at the same time establishing a connection with other rights such as aid for ending poverty (SDG1). With the aim of outlining an ontology of the present, this article follows the transformations of anthropology in Mexico in search of its political and epistemic conditions of enunciation. The Mexican government of the 19th century dedicated multiple efforts to correctly populate the territory, that is, with a healthy, educated and civilized population. At the beginning of the 20th century, indigenist policies promoted the acculturation of indigenous peoples, but this acculturation was later denounced as ethnocidal by a new generation of anthropologists, defenders of self-managed indigenism and, later, of the valorization of identities as human capital by neoliberal methodology. Scientific evolutionism gave way to a communication paradigm, the epistemic foundation of many contemporary policies. It is the very embodiment of the Foucauldian theme of the death of Man as a way of knowing, and the illustration of a new episteme. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective/context: this article analyzes the construction of youth representations through the musical repertoire produced by MTV Brasil in its first year. The objective is to understand the musical segments most explored by the broadcaster during this period, as well as how to articulate their protagonism in the transformation of the "youth music" category, with a singular impact on Brazilian youth culture. MTV was a television channel aimed at young audiences, which started in the United States in 1981 and arrived in Brazil in 1990 through Grupo Abril, a national media conglomerate. The broadcast on Brazilian soil is based on the American format, showing musical videos from artists and specific musical segments, with a strong attraction for consumption in this sector of the population. Methodology: considering music as a social marker, this study analyzes the specific repertoire of musical segments and artists produced by the broadcaster as a means of identification. Therefore, an examination based on the first musical videos by Brazilian artists produced by the broadcaster and broadcast in its first year is proposed. Originality: the level of importance of certain media or media programs in the constitution of the identities of social agents, especially in the development of juvenile identities in the recent past, is only a little analyzed. Conclusions: it can be concluded that MTV operated as a musical authority for young people, acting as a curator of what they should consume to perform their youthful condition, acting as an artificer of youth. The broadcaster was based on its initial repertoire among a group of artists linked to rock music, with a strong influence on the recording industry in the 1990s and a decisive impact on Brazilian youth. Within the method followed in the investigative process, the search with the Boolean operators “psychoanalysis” and “gender” is highlighted, with the application “The Tree of Science”, the procedure carried out with this application yielded five groups of articles, which For analysis purposes they were called: the root, composed of texts by classic references such as Freud and Butler; the trunk, made up of studies by later classical authors and three branches, made up of networks of researchers who, due to their thematic affinities, cite classical authors as a priority. The application used ensures that the review deals with the most cited studies and therefore discussed by the academic community. Among the results, it is highlighted that some of the Freudian texts continue to be references in research on sexual diversity: “Three essays on Sexual Theory”, “On Female Sexuality”, “on the psychogenesis of a case of female homosexuality” and “ mourning and melancholy.” Judith Butler contributes to the psychoanalytic theory of sexual diversity the importance of interdisciplinary dialogue with philosophy, social sciences, aesthetics and politics. In the stem and branches of the tree, the impact of the feminist movement and the ethical, aesthetic and political positioning of the authors is eloquent. Regarding the discussion and conclusions, the interest aroused by concepts such as psychic reality, identity and trauma stands out. As for the geographical places where research on sexual diversity from psychoanalysis is most active, New York City stands out. The most relevant school of thought in research on sexual diversity from this perspective is Relational Psychoanalysis and the most prominent publications in the field are Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association and Psychoanalytic Dialogues.
