BACKGROUND Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, which accounts for about approximately 30% to 40% of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, is the most common type and is a class of aggressive B-cell lymphomas. However, diffuse large B-cell lymphomas primary to the adrenal gland are rare. CASE SUMMARY A 73-year-old man was admitted with abdominal pain and fatigue. After admission, enhanced adrenal computed tomography indicated irregular masses on both adrenal glands, with the larger one on the left side, approximately 8.0 cm × 4.3 cm in size. The boundary was irregular, and surrounding tissues were compressed. No obvious enhancement was observed in the arterial phase. Resection of the left adrenal gland was performed. Pathological diagnosis revealed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. After surgery, the patient received R-CHOP immunochemotherapy. During the fourth immunochemotherapy, patient condition deteriorated, and he eventually died of respiratory failure. CONCLUSION R-CHOP is the conventional immunochemotherapy for primary adrenal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Surgery is mainly used to diagnose the disease. Hence, the ideal treatment plan remains to be confirmed.

Ethylene perceived by a family of five receptors regulates many developmental processes in Arabidopsis. Here we conducted the yeast two-hybrid assay to screen for additional unidentified proteins that interact with subfamily II ethylene receptor ETR2. Three SAUR proteins, named SAUR76, 77 and 78, were identified to associate with both ETR2 and EIN4 in different assays. Interaction of SAUR76 and SAUR78 with ETR2 was further verified by co-immunoprecipitation and bimolecular fluorescence complementation (BiFC) assays. Expressions of SAUR76-78 are induced by auxin and ethylene treatments. Compared with wild type, SAUR-overexpressing plants exhibit reduced ethylene sensitivity, while SAUR-RNAi lines exhibit enhanced ethylene sensitivity. Overexpressing the three SAURs partially complements the phenotype of subfamily II ethylene receptor loss-of-function double mutant etr2-3ein4-4, which has increased ethylene response and small cotyledon and rosette. saur76 mutation partially suppresses the reduced ethylene sensitivity of etr2-2. SAUR76/78 proteins are regulated by 26S proteasome system and larger tag increases their protein stability. These findings suggest that SAUR76-78 may affect ethylene receptor signaling and promote plant growth in Arabidopsis.

Good knowledge management is important for enterprises to maintain competitive advantage; however, the knowledge hiding behavior may hinder this process. Based on the conservation of resources and psychological ownership theories, using a chain intermediary model, this study investigates the effect of justice sensitivity on knowledge hiding through perceived time pressure and territoriality, and further tests the moderating role of territoriality. For the study, we collected 436 questionnaires from China through the Wenjuanxing Sample Service, of which 391 were valid. We then conducted multiple regression analysis and employed the bootstrap method for our tests. The results show that victim sensitivity has a significant effect on perceived time pressure, territoriality, and knowledge hiding, and that a chain mediating effect of perceived time pressure and territoriality is established between justice sensitivity and knowledge hiding. Further, territoriality has a positive moderating effect on perceived time pressure and knowledge hiding, while the mediating effect of perceived time pressure on justice sensitivity and knowledge hiding is also moderated by territoriality. Further, the study offers important practical implications in that enterprises should not blindly pursue results by making employees work excessively overtime. And there should have rationalized regulations in organization to ensure justice. The management should pay close attention to the psychological problems of victim and perpetrator. Instead, enterprises should have a certain degree of control, offer rationales for overtime work, and give high wages to the employees to compensate for their time, thus making the employees feel the worthiness of their overtime work and reducing the probability of engaging in knowledge hiding behaviors.

Background: The induced membrane technique, introduced by Masquelet in 1986 called Masquelet technique is universally preferred methods of treatment in bone defect either of any cause. Consists of two principle steps: first radical debridement and filling defect with polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) spacer, this allows the formation of induction membrane. Secondly bone cement is removed and defect is filled with bone graft and stabilized with definitive fixation.Methods: This prospective observational study was carried out in the department of orthopedic surgery, Taihe Hospital affiliated to Hubei University of Medicine, Shiyan Hubei China from July 2018 to November 2019.Results: Total 32 patients observed and recorded for the analysis. The mean age 38.28±11.211 years. 20 (62.5%) male and 12 (37.5%) female, 13 (40.6%) had right, and 19 (59.4%) had left side injury. Tibia has the highest involvement 16 (50%), femur 10 (31.3%), calcaneus 3 (9.4%) radius, cuboid and ulna 1 (3.1%) each. For cause of defect osteomyelitis is found to have highest frequency of 11 (34.4%). The size of defect ranges from 3 to 20 cm with mean defect (6.91±4.489 cm). Duration of bone cement ranges from 4-20 weeks with mean of 8.75±3.379 weeks. The union time ranges from 4-14 months. With mean of 8.31±2.17 months. 18 (56.3%) have excellent results, 13 (40.6%) have good results, and 1 patient (3.1%) have satisfactory results.Conclusions: This study concludes that Masquelet technique as being the more appropriate, reliable and is a noble technique in the reconstruction of bone defect either of any cause with good functional result.

Aims Our main purposes were to determine the effects of Vigna radiata, a nitrogen fixing plant, on growth, water balance and gas exchange of the intercropping Juglans regia seedlings and to investigate the hydraulic mechanism involved in photosynthesis and growth. Methods We measured growth, hydraulic characteristics, and rate of gas exchange in J. regia seedlings, and analyzed the effects of the intercropping nitrogen fixing V. radiata on xylem anatomic structure, water balance and photosynthetic characteristics of J. regia seedlings under conditions of nitrogen deprivation and enrichment. Important findings Under conditions of nitrogen deficiency, the nitrogen fixing V. radiata facilitated the growth of the intercropping J. regia seedlings by improving xylem development, water transport and hydraulic characteristics in high transpiration demand. However, with nitrogen addition, the occurrence of V. radiata inhibited the growth of J. regia seedlings, likely by competing for water and other elements.

Excessive propagation of tubificid in eutrophic source water can result in its emergence in the drinking water plant, which has been a troublesome problem in recent years. The migration of tubificid, especially drift migration in the source water is the main cause of worm pollution in drinking water plant. Migration modes and correlative factors of Tubifex tubifex, dominating the tubificid frequently, were investigated to help drinking water plant to solve worm pollution. Migration modes were divided into superficial, deep and drift migrations, representing migrations occurring in surface sediment (0–2 cm), deep sediment (deeper than 2 cm) and from sediment to overlying water, respectively. The results showed that both temperature and dissolved oxygen (DO) affect the worm migration modes. The maximum drift efficiency occurred at 22°C while DO was controlled around 8 mg O2 l−1. When the temperature was fixed at 20°C, maximum drift efficiency was observed at 2 mg O2 l−1. Distinct increase of superficial migration and decrease of deep migration were observed at 28°C compared to 16 and 22°C. Low DO appeared to be the main reason for the increase of worm’s deep migration. The results confirmed that worm drift from sediment to overlying water, which was influenced by the temperature and DO content, was the main cause of worm pollution in the drinking water plant.

A new streak camera with more wider dynamic range and picosecond temporal resolution for soft X-ray was developed.The photocathode′s working area is 30 mm in diameter,and its focusing voltage is reduced to 8 kV to prevent electrical discharge.A post-accelaration system was introduced into the image tube for improving the phosphor screen′s quantum efficiency largely,and an external image intensifier with wide dynamic range was adopted.Experimental evaluation was carried out by means of a picosecond laser,and the results show that the dynamic range of more than 2000 can be achieved.

Purpose To evaluate the ability of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) to detect and monitor acute axonal injury in swine spinal cord with acute experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE). Materials and Methods Magnetic resonance imaging of the cervical spinal cord was performed in vivo at different time points through the onset and progression of EAE using a 3 Tesla clinical scanner. The DTI parameters were calculated in four separate regions of interest at the C2/C3 level. The quantitative DTI-pathology and DTI-clinical correlations were verified. Results In the monophasic acute course of EAE onset and progression, axial diffusivity (AD) decrease correlates with acute axonal injury (r = −0.84; P < 0.001). By contrast, radial diffusivity does not change and no demyelination in histopathology was detected. Moreover, a clear correlation between clinical disease and axial diffusivity was found in two swine EAE models (r = −0.86; P < 0.001 and r = −0.92; P < 0.001). Conclusion AD corresponds with axonal injury in the absence of demyelination and may be a useful noninvasive tool to investigate the underlying pathogenic processes of multiple sclerosis and to monitor the effects of experimental treatments for axonal injury. A high temperature superconductor (HTS) cable system of both a length of 4 metre and a normal current of 2 KA with terminations and a cooling system has been built up and tested. The cable conductor was made of Bi-2223 tape. A space maintained vacuum between two corrugated stainless steel tubes functions as the cryostat surrounding the superconductor. A series of tests were carried out to verify the functions of the system. The important data obtained can be used to make longer HTS cable systems.

Cu/Ni composite interlayers were used to bond 000Ci-30Mo2/silicated graphite samples at 1100-1150 degrees C. Brittle Cr7C3 in the reaction layer was restricted by the addition of Cu. Microwave electron cyclotron resonance plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition was used to grow silicon dioxide films on crystalline silicon substrate for planar optical waveguides. The relationship between plasma parameters and deposition rates was investigated, and the influence of radio frequency substrate bias on properties of SiO2 films was also preliminarily studied. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy and ellipsometry were used to characterize the deposited films, showing that SiO2 films with good structural and optical properties prepared at low temperature have been achieved. They can basically meet the requirements of integrated optical waveguides.

Based on the overview of researches on circulation channel of agricultural products, this article presents the status quo of circulation channel of Dujiangyan kiwi fruit, including the production and circulation pattern of Dujiangyan kiwi fruit. Then it analyzes the problems in the current circulation channel of Dujiangyan kiwi fruit as follows: first, the long circulation channel leads to inefficient circulation and high costs; second, the deep processing capacity is poor, and the added value of fruits is low; third, the application of cold chain logistics technology is insufficient; fourth, blocked information circulation makes the cooperative relations between the subjects in channel fragile. Finally corresponding countermeasures and recommendations are put forward as follows: shortening circulation channel and improving circulation efficiency; improving deep processing capacity, and increasing added value of fruits; strengthening the use of cold chain logistics technology and equipments; establishing rational interest distribution mechanism, and consolidating cooperation between the circulation subjects.

Primary localized amyloidosis of the ureter can closely resemble those of malignancy or inflammation involving the ureters in its presentation and ureteroscopic appearance and on diagnostic imaging studies. We provide a case of ureteral amyloidosis to reveal its imaging characteristic and to distinguish localized amyloidosis from malignancy and ureteritis.

Breaking the time-reversal symmetry of a topological insulator (TI) by ferromagnetism can induce exotic magnetoelectric phenomena such as quantized anomalous Hall (QAH) effect. Experimental observation of QAH effect in a magnetically doped TI requires ferromagnetism not relying on the charge carriers. We have realized the ferromagnetism independent of both polarity and density of carriers in Cr-doped BixSb2-xTe3 thin films grown by molecular beam epitaxy. Meanwhile, the anomalous Hall effect is found significantly enhanced with decreasing carrier density, with the anomalous Hall angle reaching unusually large value 0.2 and the zero field Hall resistance reaching one quarter of the quantum resistance (h/e2), indicating the approaching of the QAH regime. In this paper, firstly, the traditional logistics network and its problems were depicted; Then considering all benefit counterparts, the idea of the logistics network was developed and a modern logistics management network was built based on the Value Constellation, which was helpful in improving the management of modern logistics.

Lower hybrid current drive experiments on the HT-7 device have been carried out by scanning the following parameters: central line averaged electron density (ne = 0.6 - 2.0 × 1019 m-3) and toroidal magnetic field (Bt = 1.62 - 2.0 T). The dependence of current drive efficiency on these parameters has been studied and the experimental curves of current drive efficiency as a function of ne and Bt have also been obtained. From these experimental results, it can be seen that current drive efficiency rises with the increase of toroidal magnetic field. As plasma density increases, the current drive efficiency first increases to a certain value, then gradually decreases, that is, there exists an optimized density regime where a better drive efficiency can be obtained. The analysis shows that the current drive efficiency is mainly affected by wave accessibility and impurity concentration, and the competition of these two factors determines the current drive efficiency.

Echinochloa is a major weed that grows almost everywhere in farmed land. This high prevalence results from its high adaptability to various water conditions, including upland and paddy fields, and its ability to grow in a wide range of climates, ranging from tropical to temperate regions. Three Echinochloa crus-galli accessions (EC-SNU1, EC-SNU2, and EC-SNU3) collected in Korea have shown diversity in their responses to flooding, with EC-SNU1 exhibiting the greatest growth among three accessions. In the search for molecular components underlying adaptive diversity among the three Echinochloa crus-galli accessions, we performed de novo assembly of leaf transcriptomes and investigated the pattern of differentially expressed genes (DEGs). Although the overall composition of the three leaf transcriptomes was well-conserved, the gene expression patterns of particular gene ontology (GO) categories were notably different among the three accessions. Under non-submergence growing conditions, five protein categories (serine/threonine kinase, leucine-rich repeat kinase, signaling-related, glycoprotein, and glycosidase) were significantly (FDR, q < 0.05) enriched in up-regulated DEGs from EC-SNU1. These up-regulated DEGs include major components of signal transduction pathways, such as receptor-like kinase (RLK) and calcium-dependent protein kinase (CDPK) genes, as well as previously known abiotic stress-responsive genes. Our results therefore suggest that diversified gene expression regulation of upstream signaling components conferred the molecular basis of adaptive diversity in Echinochloa crus-galli.
