The present study was done to get a standard dose of xylazine/ketamine with minimum recovery time. Ten healthy red pandas were anesthetized for the blood collection for their blood biochemistry and hematological studies at the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Darjeeling. The animals were administered with xylazine/ketamine according to their body weight and recovery time was calculated. We found that immobilization was successful with a low dose of ketamine which was found very low as compared to other authors. The lower anesthetic dose was effective in young animals but there was no relation between age and recovery time. Based on the findings of the present study we can conclude that red pandas between 4-7 kg body weight could be easily immobile with the dose of xylazine/ketamine between 2-5 mg/kg and can be recovered in 25 minutes. The conclusion is completely based on the study of the captive-bred red pandas in the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park. The results of this study may vary from other zoos due to geographical and regional differences.

A man in his 20s presented to the neurosurgery department 2 years ago with headache and blurred vision. He was diagnosed to have a suprasellar mass on neuroimaging. Best-corrected visual acuity in the right eye was 6/36 and that in the left eye was 6/60. Automated visual fields showed a temporal hemianopia in the right eye and an advanced field defect in the left eye. His hormonal profile was normal, and he underwent partial excision of suprasellar tumour, which was a histopathologically proven paraganglioma (PGL). Subsequently, the patient underwent radiotherapy and his vision and visual fields showed improvement. Follow-up examination 3 years later showed a left retinal capillary hemangioblastoma (RCH), which was treated with green laser photocoagulation, resulting in complete sclerosis. This case is unique because of the extremely rare coexistence of a sellar PGL and RCH, which to our knowledge has not been reported so far.

BACKGROUND: In India, where agriculture is the prime occupation among the rural population, farmers are extensively using pesticides in crop production without taking adequate precautions. OBJECTIVE: The current study aimed to examine pesticide usage patterns, usage of personal protective equipment (PPE), knowledge on pesticide toxicity, and attitude towards occupational safety among farmers diagnosed with leukaemia (n = 60), lymphoma (n = 33), and breast cancer (n = 30) visiting a tertiary cancer care hospital in Hyderabad, India. METHODS: Face-to-face interviews were conducted using a pre-tested questionnaire and the data collected were analysed with statistical software SPSS 23. RESULTS: The survey revealed that the participants had an average of 19.6 years of farming experience and women were predominantly involved in the mixing of pesticides and other agricultural work apart from spraying. All of them were not using any PPE and the majority of them did not have any knowledge on the route of exposure, toxicity symbols, and safe handling of pesticides. Statistical analysis showed no significant association between educational status and knowledge, attitude and practices (p > 0.05). CONCLUSION: Even though the majority of the farmers were educated, their lack of adequate knowledge on pesticides had enabled them to adopt risky behaviours in handling and storage of pesticides. There is a need for continuous training programs for farmers to promote awareness and minimize the hazards of occupational exposure.

Aims and Objectives: The aim of the study was to assess the gender difference in response to fentanyl on the entropy and algesiometry and to compare hemodynamic difference in between the gender. Methods: It was a prospective observational study carried out in a group of 100 patients, of which 50 were males and 50 females. In both the groups, baseline entropy (response entropy [RE] and state entropy [SE]) and algesiometry values were recorded, 2 mic/kg of fentanyl was administered, and entropy values were recorded for 5 min and another algesiometry reading was taken at the end of 5 min. Results: Both the groups were found to be comparable age and weight (p0.05). There was no significant difference in entropy values among males and females before and after fentanyl administration. Females had significantly (p=0.033) lower pain threshold and a statistically significant increase in pain threshold as compared to males after fentanyl administration (p=0.012). Conclusion: We conclude that fentanyl administration has not influenced the entropy values based on gender and females had an initial low pain threshold and a greater increase in pain threshold after fentanyl administration.

The three autonomous factors of public health concern are WASH, constituting water, sanitation, and hygiene. The availability of WASH facilities at schools is a little-researched aspect that might be a crucial enabler of academic success. The present study was carried out to evaluate the hygiene and sanitation practices like right-hand washing with soap (RHWWS), right tooth brushing twice a day (RTBTD), and open defecation (OD) free among the school children of Visakhapatnam of 6–11 years of age. About 110 schools were identified, which includes 56 urban, 21 semi-urban, and 33 rural schools in the Visakhapatnam district, from which 500 students were selected randomly. Only 31 (28%) schools were exposed to WASH-related involvements. In the studied schools, only 58% of them have adopted the WASH policy. The results relating to the hygiene practices among the selected schools were found to be significant but, overall, a bit low on criteria defined by the UN joint monitoring program in 2018. To our knowledge, this is the first study to use a cross-sectional trail to test the impact of school WASH facilities and practices among primary school children in Visakhapatnam. The results concluded that the proper sanitation and hygiene practices are required for school children.

Objective: The H. coronarium (Zingiberaceae) is a perennial herbaceous plant. Chinese immigrants introduced the H. coronarium species as an ornamental plant in 1888. Its attractive fl owers make it a desirable ornamental plant. The present study aims to evaluate the physiochemical characteristics and development of the (HPTLC) Fingerprint sequence profi le of Hedychium coronarium leaves. Method: Pharmacognostic characteristics and physiochemical parameters were performed according to the method prescribed. The mobile phase confi rmation was completed using by performing (TLC). The development of the HPTLC fi ngerprint was performed with some modifi cations to get exact separation of phytochemicals using mobile phases such as Toluene: chloroform: ethanol (4:4:1). Result: Pharmacognostic study reported the presence of unicellular trichomes, vessels, epidermal cells, oil globules, and vascular bundles. Pharmacognostic and physiochemical parameters like color, nature, odor, taste, foreign organic matter, loss on drying, ash value, extractive value, and the foaming index were found to be satisfi ed as documented in the results. The HPTLC fi ngerprinting reveals the presence of various chemical compounds expressed as Rf value. Conclusion: From current scientifi c research work, Hedychium coronarium can be useful in modern medicine as various bioactive secondary metabolites were detected.

Our project is all about developing a recommendation system that recommends music based on the user’s current mood. This approach is more effective than the existing ones and eases user’s work of first searching and creating a specific playlist. A user’s emotion or mood can be identified by his/her facial expressions. These expressions can be deduced from the live feed via the system’s camera. Machine Learning come up with various methods and techniques through which human emotions can be detected. Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm is used to develop this system. The SVM is used as a classifier to classify different emotional states such as happy, sad, etc. The facial feature displacements in the live feed are used as input to the SVM classifier. Based on the output of the SVM classifier, the user is redirected to a corresponding playlist. Streamlit Framework is used to build this web application. It helps us to create beautiful web apps for data science and machine learning in less time.

Background: Alcohol use disorder poses a huge burden with only a handful of approved drugs. AUD is associated with impaired decision-making that leads to compulsive drinking despite negative consequences. A drug that decreases alcohol consumption as well as improves decision-making may thus prove more useful. This study was planned to evaluate the effect of two drugs, Celastrus paniculatus and memantine on alcohol preference and decision impairment in alcohol-dependent mice. Methods: In part 1, the effect of both the study drugs on alcohol consumption was studied using intermittent access model in 70 male C57BL6 mice. In part 2, effect of drugs on decision making was studied using the rodent version of Iowa gambling task. Mice were divided in seven study groups: Group 1-3: Celastrus paniculatus (140, 280, and 560 mg/kg), Group 4: memantine (25 mg/kg), Group 5: vehicle control 1 (Milk), Group 6: vehicle control 2 (normal saline) and Group 7: naltrexone(1mg/kg). The linear attenuation coefficients and tenth-value layers are determined experimentally for the newly developed Cement-based high-density Concrete and Fly-Ash-based Geopolymer high-density Concrete using Red-Mud-based synthetic aggregate made up from industrial waste. Linear attenuation coefficients were determined in narrow and broad beam conditions for five megavoltage X-ray photon beam energies, i.e. 6, 10, 15 MV, and 6 and 10 MV-FFF generated by Varian TrueBeam medical linear accelerator. These materials are found to be more effective in radiation shielding when compared with ordinary concrete and hematite ore-based high-density concrete making it a useful construction material for radiotherapy accelerator vaults. Similar values of linear attenuation coefficients are observed for all the above-mentioned X-ray beam energies when cement is replaced with fly-ash in ordinary concrete, hematite-based high-density concrete and red-mud-based high-density concrete, making it a good eco-friendly alternative of cement and useful for the construction of radiotherapy vaults.

The significance of big data are prone to complication in solving optimization issues. In several scenarios, one requires adapting several contradictory goals and satisfies various criterions. This made the research on multi-objective optimization more vital and has become main topic. This paper presents theoretical analysis and comparative study of top ten optimization algorithms with respect to DMS. The performance analysis and study of optimization algorithms in big data streaming are explicated. Here, the top ten algorithms of optimization based on recency and popularity are considered. In addition, the performance analysis based on Efficiency, Reliability, Quality of solution, and superiority of DMS algorithm over other top 10 algorithms are examined. From analysis, the DMS provides better efficiency as it endeavours less computational effort to generate better solution, due to acquisition of both DA and MS algorithm’s benefits and DMS takes less time to process a task. Moreover, the DMS needs less number of iterations in the process of optimization and helps to stop optimization process in local optimum. In addition, the DMS has better reliability as it poses the potential to handle specific level of performance. In addition, the DMS utilizes heuristic information for attaining high reliability. Moreover, the DMS produced high computation accuracy, which reveals its solution quality. From the analysis, it is noted that DMS attained improved outcomes in terms of efficiency, reliability and solution quality in contrast to other top 10 optimization algorithms.

Value-oriented education has been an integral facet of education. The need for value education stems from the social malaise in the society and education, being purposeful in making students responsible citizens, must address such deficiencies in values. This study aims to understand the attitude of student teachers and in-service teachers’ towards current education and its value systems and seeks their stand on requiring value-oriented education as they are the major stake holders of direct classroom education experience other than students. The case study of Elizabeth Holmes and Annie Dookhan was used to assess how academically strong individuals end up straying into fraudulent ways. The study was administered using an electronic questionnaire, the frequency range was established using SPSS and indexed to percentage values. The data shed light on the attitude of student teachers and in-service teachers feeling that current education fails to inculcate values and suggested some methods of reform in the value systems of current education.

ObjectivesCHRFAM7A is a uniquely human fusion gene that functions as a dominant negative regulator of alpha 7 acetylcholine nicotinic receptor (α7nAChR) in vitro. This study determined the impact of CHRFAM7A on α7nAChR agonist responses, osteoarthritis (OA) severity and pain behaviours and investigated mechanisms.MethodsTransgenic CHRFAM7A (TgCHRFAM7A) mice were used to determine the impact of CHRFAM7A on knee OA histology, pain severity in OA and other pain models, response to nAchR agonist and IL-1β. Mouse and human cells were used for mechanistic studies.ResultsTransgenic (Tg) TgCHRFAM7A mice developed more severe structural damage and increased mechanical allodynia than wild type (WT) mice in the destabilisation of medial meniscus model of OA. This was associated with a decreased suppression of inflammation by α7nAchR agonist. TgCHRFAM7A mice displayed a higher basal sensitivity to pain stimuli and increased pain behaviour in the monoiodoacetate and formalin models. Dorsal root ganglia of TgCHRFAM7A mice showed increased macrophage infiltration and expression of the chemokine fractalkine and also had a compromised antinociceptive response to the α7nAchR agonist nicotine. Both native CHRNA7 and CHRFAM7A subunits were expressed in human joint tissues and the CHRFAM7A/CHRNA7 ratio was increased in OA cartilage. Human chondrocytes with two copies of CHRFAM7A had reduced anti-inflammatory responses to nicotine.ConclusionCHRFAM7A is an aggravating factor for OA-associated inflammation and tissue damage and a novel genetic risk factor and therapeutic target for pain.

Insect resistant crop plants form the core component of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) due to their ability to reduce the crop losses and associated insecticide costs in addition to protecting the environment. In this review, various types of resistance being cited, resistance mechanisms and causal factors responsible with examples were discussed. Traits associated with resistance, genetics and inheritance patterns were listed. Several sources of resistance including crop varieties, wild relatives, QTLs identified and mapped for major insect pests so far were elaborated along with steps in the development of a resistant variety. Advantages and limitations of insect resistance were also discussed with emphasis on the development of insect biotypes. Novel strategies in molecular approaches like marker assisted selection, gene pyramiding, RNAi approach along with genome editing strategies were emphasized. The development of insect resistant crops is a sustainable way to manage pests and hence emphasis need to be given to breed trait specific insect resistant cultivars utilizing the novel approaches in the future breeding programs.

Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) are one of the most common adverse events in patient care that account for substantial morbidity and mortality. We evaluate the existing Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices in hospitals participating in the nationally representative HAI Surveillance network.This cross-sectional survey was conducted in 23 hospitals across 22 states of India from October-2015 to September-2018 in the HAI surveillance network. The World Health Organization (WHO) IPC core components assessment tool for health-care facility level (IPCAT-H) was adapted from IPC assessment tool developed by US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US CDC) under the Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) Infection Control Assessment and Response (ICAR) Program. Mann-Whitney U test was used to calculate the significant difference between scores (P.05).Amongst the participating hospitals, 7 were private sectors and 16 were public health care facilities. Infection IPCAT-H average score per multimodal strategy was less than 50% for programmed IPC activities (45.7); implementation of health care workers (HCWs) immunization programme (43.5%); monitoring and evaluation component (38.30%).There is potential for improvement in Human Resources, Surveillance of HAIs as well as Monitoring and Evaluation components.

Silver ions act as potent antimicrobial agents. Silver coating of brackets and the archwires can help reduce the formation of white spot lesions and caries which is commonly seen with fixed orthodontic treatment. However, this may affect the friction and surface roughness of the bracket-wire assembly which in turn affects the biological tooth movement. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A total of 60 samples were included in the study which was divided into four groups. Group-1: * 15 silver coated 0.022 x 0.028" slot MBT prescription maxillary central incisor brackets * 15 silver coated 0.019 x 0.025" stainless-steel wires; Group-2: * 15 uncoated 0.022 x 0.028" slot MBT prescription maxillary central incisor brackets * 15 silver coated 0.019 x 0.025" stainless-steel wires; Group-3: * 15 silver coated 0.022 x 0.028" slot MBT prescription maxillary central incisor brackets * 15 uncoated 0.019 x 0.025" stainless-steel wires; Group-4: * 15 uncoated 0.022x0.028" slot MBT prescription maxillary central incisor brackets * 15 uncoated 0.019 x 0.025" stainless-steel wires. All brackets and wires used were of American Orthodontics, St. Paul, USA. Surface modification of wires and brackets was carried out using the Vacuum Coating Unit model by Thermal Vacuum Evaporation method with silver nanoparticles (10 nm size). The frictional resistance of all brackets and wires was checked using Universal Testing Machine. RESULTS: On comparison of maximum load, it was found that friction was highest in group 3, followed by group 1, group 4 and group 2. The mean difference between all groups was found to be statistically significant with a P value Group 1> Group 2> Group 3 *Wire roughness: Group 4> Group 1> Group 2> Group 3. CONCLUSIONS: This study concluded that friction was least when only the wire was coated with silver and the bracket was uncoated and it was the most when the bracket was coated and the wire was uncoated. Performing safety measures, such as authentication, encryption, network protection, access power, and application protection to IoT devices and their natural vulnerabilities are less effective. Therefore, security should improve to protect the IoT ecosystem efficiently. Machine Learning algorithms are proposed to secure the data from cyber security risks. Machine-learning algorithms that can apply in different ways to limit and identify the outbreaks and security gaps in networks. Digital FIR Filters plays a major role in many signal processing applications. Generally, these filters are designed with multipliers and adders to find the filter output. This paper acquaints how to reduce the complexity of higher order FIR filter by using performance optimization techniques like retiming and pipelining. The filter’s throughput, energy efficiency, and latency, as well as the complexity of its technology, all need to be improved. By adopting pipelining technique, the arithmetic processes of addition and multiplication are separated. The break addition procedure is retimed. The architecture of Pipelining and Retiming with m-tap filters and n-bit word lengths were designed. The smallest delay achieved by the proposed distributed arithmetic-based FIR Filter with pipelining was 2.564ns for a 4tap implementation receiving an 8bit input, while the largest delay achieved was 56.04ns for a 64-tap implementation receiving a 32-bit word length. Delays as low as 0.68ns for a 4-tap implementation receiving an 8-bit input and as high as 4.53ns for a 64tap implementation receiving a 32bit word length have been achieved by using the suggested distributed arithmetic-based FIR Filter with retiming approach. Delay has been reduced by 73.2% for 4tap with 8bit input and by 91.9% for 64tap with 32bit word length compared to the pipelining approach.

The present investigation was carried out during rabi season of 2021-22. at Agricultural Botany research farm, College of Agriculture, Nagpur. The treatment tested were T1-GM*+100 % RDF, T2-Ghanajivamrut 5 t ha-1 at incorporation of GM* + 50 % RD of NP through inorganic fertilizers + Jivamrut + Azophos, T3- Vermicompost 5 t ha-1 at incorporation of GM* + 50 % RD of NP through inorganic fertilizers + Jivamrut + Azophos, T4-Neem cake 2 t ha-1 at incorporation of GM* + 50 % RD of NP through inorganic fertilizers + Jivamrut + Azophos, T5-Ghanajivamrut 5 t ha-1 at incorporation of GM*, T6- Vermicompost 5 t ha-1 at incorporation of GM* + Jivamrut + Azophos and T7- Neem cake 2 t ha-1 at incorporation of GM* + Jivamrut + Azophos. The result showed that the grain yield of wheat varied from 21.03 to 31.36 q ha-1 and straw yield of wheat from 27.45 to 41.10 q ha-1 It was noted the N uptake varied from 48.40 to 78.84 kg ha-1, P from 10.38 to 20.52 kg ha-1 and K from 48.80 to 77.82 kg ha-1. The protein content in wheat varied from 10.93 to 11.81 per cent, carbohydrate, crude fibre and calcium in wheat grain varied from 70.82 to 71.92, 2.56 to 2.63 and 0.40 to 0.48 pe cent, respectively. The methionine, cysteine and lysine content in wheat varied from 1.36 to 1.45, 1.41 to 1.47 and 2.42 to 2.53 g / 16 g N. The application of Vermicompost @ 5 t ha-1 at incorporation of GM* + 50 % RD of NP through inorganic fertilizers + Jivamrut + Azophos was found most suitable treatment in respect of crop yield, uptake of nutrient and quality of wheat.

A series of a novel indole analogs (5-substituted-1-methyl/ethyl-3-((5-methyl-1-(morpholino/ piperazinmethyl)-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)-imino)indolin-2-one (5a-l) were synthesized via Schiff base and Mannich base mechanism. The structures of synthesized compounds were confirmed by IR, 1H NMR and mass spectral data. The antibacterial activity by was measured by agar diffusion method. Some of the analogs (5b, 5c, 5h, 5i and 5j) showed excellent antibacterial recreation against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli, Salmonella paratyphi, Pseudomonas and compounds 5f, 5g, 5i showed good activity against MCF-7 cell line through MTT assay method. The molecular docking studies of novel indole analogs revealed that compound 5i suggests perfect dock rating of -5.826 with glide binding strength of -38.76 Kcal/mol. Dock results of all the compounds were ranged from -5.826 (compound 5i) to -2.792 (compound 5d).

The aim of this study is the evaluation of soil fertility in the Uppununthala mandal of the Nagarkurnool district, Telangana. In total, fifty surface soil samples (0-20 cm) were analysed for various soil fertility parameters, viz., pH, EC, organic carbon, available N, P, K, S by standard procedures. The results revealed that, the pH of the soils of the study area were neutral to slightly alkaline (7.14 - 8.30) in nature. The electrical conductivity (0.14 to 0.55 dS m-1) was within safe limits. Organic carbon ranged from low to medium (1.9 - 7.9 g kg-1) in the soils. The data on nutrient status showed that, the available nitrogen (125.44 - 291.64 kg ha-1) was low, while available phosphorus (9.7 - 26.2 kg ha-1) was low to medium and potassium (123.20 - 360.64 kg ha-1) were medium in range. The available sulphur content ranged in medium level (10.56 to 20.62 mg kg-1).

Aim: To evaluate the efficacy of new herbicide mixtures on the weed control and performance of transplanted rice. Study Design: Randomized Complete Block Design. Place and Duration of Study: AlI India Coordinated Research Project on Weed Management, PJTSAU, Hyderabad between August to December, 2021. Methodology: The efficacy of herbicide mixtures either ready mix or as tank mixtures were evaluated for effective and broad spectrum weed control in transplanted rice during kharif season, 2021 at AICRP on Weed Management, PJTSAU, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with nine treatments and three replications. The treatments included five ready mixes (RM) one tank mix combination of new herbicides tested against one single herbicide, weedy check and hand weeding twice at 20 and 40 DAT. Results: The results of the study revealed that bispyribac sodium 10% SC 25 g ha-1+ penoxsulam 1.02% (20 g ha-1) (tank mix) as post-emergence (POE) fb hand weeding (HW) at 40 DAT or penoxsulam 0.97% (20 g ha-1) + butachlor (38.8%) @ 820 g ha-1 (RM) as POE fb HW at 40 DAT or penoxsulam 1.02% (20g ha-1) + cyhalofop butyl 5.1% (100 g ha-1 ) (RM) as POE fb HW at 40 DAT or bensulfuron methyl 0.6% (60 g ha-1) + pretilachlor 6% (600g ha-1) GR (RM) as pre-emergence (PE) fb HW at 40 DAT were equally effective to hand weeding twice at 20 and 40 DAT with respect to suppression of weeds at 60 DAT. The yield attributes like a number of tillers/m2, panicles no, panicle length, grains panicle-1 and test weight were found to be higher with penoxsulam 1.02% (20 g ha-1) + cyhalofop butyl 5.1% (100 g ha-1) as POE fb HW at 40 DAT which also recorded higher grain yield, straw yield, gross returns, net returns and B-C ratio but it was found to be at par with other herbicide combinations. Conclusion: It can be concluded that new herbicide mixtures either as ready mix or tank mix performed better than sole application or hand weeding alone.

Activities are related to financial management of the household and decisions related to it like paying bills, tracking expenses, purchasing items for family, handling expenses of children, investment associated decisions of saved money, arranging funds for unexpected expenses, minimization of risk of invested money, retirement planning, buying policies for themselves and family members, etc. (Murari, 2019).

National and subnational estimates of the prevalence of diabetic retinopathy and vision-threatening diabetic retinopathy (VTDR) are needed to inform the stepwise implementation of systematic retinal screening for people with diabetes in India to decrease the rate of blindness. We aimed to assess these national and subnational estimates and to stratify the prevalence of diabetic retinopathy and VTDR on the basis of people with known versus undiagnosed diabetes, urban versus rural residence, and epidemiological transition level (ETL) and Socio-demographic Index (SDI) categories of states.We did a multicentre cross-sectional screening study for diabetic retinopathy using a complex cluster sampling design in people aged 40 years or older in ten Indian states and one union territory between Dec 20, 2018, and March 20, 2020. We did non-mydriatic retinal screening and assessed risk factor burden for people with diabetes. We estimated nationally weighted prevalence of diabetic retinopathy and VTDR for individuals with known and undiagnosed diabetes by urban versus rural residence, and by state categorisation by ETL and SDI. We also assessed adjusted risk factors.From 42 146 participants screened, 7910 (18·8%) were identified to have diabetes. Of these, 6133 (77·5%; 4350 with known diabetes and 1783 with undiagnosed diabetes) had gradable retinal images. 3411 (56%) participants were women and 2722 (44%) were men, and the median age was 56 years (IQR 49-65). The estimated national prevalence was 12·5% (95% CI 11·0-14·2) for diabetic retinopathy and 4·0% (3·4-4·8) for VTDR, with no significant differences between urban and rural residence for diabetic retinopathy. Compared with individuals with undiagnosed diabetes, we observed a higher prevalence of diabetic retinopathy (15·5% [13·4-17·8] vs 8·0% [6·3-10·1]) and VTDR (5·3% [4·5-6·3] vs 2·4% [1·6-3·6]) in individuals with known diabetes. The prevalence was significantly lower in low ETL-SDI states compared with high and middle ETL-SDI states for diabetic retinopathy (by 7·0%, 1·9-12·2, p=0·024) and VTDR (by 4·8%, 3·0-6·6, p0·0001). Hyperglycaemia was the strongest modifiable risk factor.We estimate that, in absolute numbers, approximately 3 million people aged 40 years or older have VTDR in India, with a higher prevalence in those with known diabetes residing in high and middle ETI-SDI states.UKRI Global Challenge Research Fund.

This article presents an efficient and unique ontology information retrieval using web protegeby taking into account the modelling, processing, and conversion of ontological knowledge into database search request components of ontology. It mainly focuses on the existing methodologies of ontology retrieval approaches in terms of loss of data and semantics, structural mapping and applicable to domain integrity. The main objective of this article is to apply the ontological approach on the dataset for retrieval of information to produce more efficient information retrieval from knowledge graph which is termed as H-Onto.

Objectives Lycium barbarum, commonly known as goji berry, Himalayan berry, or Tibetian berry, is emerging as a popular “superfood” with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. However, its use for the management of oral inflammatory diseases has not been explored. The present study aims to evaluate the antimicrobial, anti-adhesion, anti-biofilm, and cytotoxic properties of an ethanolic extract of L. barbarum (LBE) against common oral and periodontal pathogens. Methods The antimicrobial properties of LBE against five potential periodontal pathogens (Porphyromonas gingivalis, Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Prevotella intermedia, Tanerella forsythia) were tested and compared to chlorhexidine and doxycycline using serial dilution and disc diffusion assay. The MTT Assay was performed for evaluating the cytotoxicity and cell viability of the LBE on the gingival fibroblast and modified keratinocyte cell lines. The anti-adhesion and anti-biofilm properties of LBE against P. gingivalis at its minimal bactericidal value were also assessed. Results LBE inhibited the growth of periodontal pathogens as compared to control, however, the zone of inhibition of LBE was less when compared to doxycycline and chlorhexidine. The de novo extract showed a maximum zone of inhibition against Tf and Aa. The LBE extract was also compatible to gingival fibroblast tissues and oral keratinocytes at 1 mg/mL. Conclusions L. barbarum is a promising alternative to Chlorhexidine for the management of oral and periodontal infections.
