Aldehyde and ketone compounds are ubiquitous in the air and prone to adverse effects on human health. Cooking emission is one of the major indoor sources. Aiming to evaluate health risks associated with inhalation exposure to aldehyde and ketone compounds, 13 carbonyl compounds (CCs) released from heating 5 edible oils, 3 seasonings, and 2 dishes were investigated in a kitchen laboratory. For the scenarios of heating five types of oil, aldehydes accounted for 61.1%-78.0% of the total emission, mainly acetaldehyde, acrolein and hexanal. Comparatively, heating oil with added seasonings released greater concentrations of aldehyde and ketone compounds. The concentration enhancement of larger molecular aldehydes was significantly greater. The emission factors of aldehyde and ketone compounds for cooking the dish of chili fried meat were much greater compared to that of tomato fried eggs. Therefore, food materials also had a great impact on the aldehyde and ketone emissions. Acetone and acetaldehyde were the most abundant CCs in the kitchen. In this paper, the second-order fuzzy homogeneous differential equation is transformed into a more special simplest form under the condition that the solution of the boundary value problem of the equation exists and is unique. Then the eigenvalues of the boundary value problem of the second-order simplest fuzzy homogeneous differential equation are studied and the theorems that make the eigenvalues exist are proposed and then illustrated with examples. Finally, it is proved that when the second-order fuzzy coefficient p ˜ ( t ) in the second-order fuzzy homogeneous differential equation is a fuzzy number, the solution set of its corresponding second-order granular homogeneous differential equation becomes larger, that is, the solution set of fuzzy differential equations with real numbers is a subset of the solution set with fuzzy coefficients as fuzzy numbers.

Purpose A high-fidelity simulation platform helps to verify the feasibility of the controller and reduce the cost of subsequent experiments. Therefore, this paper aims to design a high-fidelity hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation platform for the tail-sitter vehicles. Design/methodology/approach The component breakdown approach is used to develop a more reliable model. Thruster dynamics and ground contact force are also modeled. Accurate aerodynamic coefficients are obtained through wind tunnel tests. This simulation system adopts a mode transition method to achieve continuous simulation for all flight modes. Findings Simulation results are in good agreement with the flight log and successfully predict the state of the vehicle. Originality/value First, the effects of the propeller slipstream are considered. Second, most researchers ignore the parasitic drag caused by the landing gear and other appendages, which is discussed in this study. Third, a ground contact model is implemented to allow a realistic simulation of the takeoff and landing phases. Fourth, complete wind tunnel tests are conducted to obtain more accurate aerodynamic coefficients. Finally, a mode transition method is deployed in the HIL simulation system to achieve continuous simulation for all flight modes.

Purpose This paper aims to design a global controller that is operational throughout all flight modes and less dependent on an accurate model. Design/methodology/approach By adopting the interconnection and damping assignment passivity-based control (IDA-PBC) technology and compensating extra inputs for handling the unknown dynamics and time-varying disturbances, a model-free control (MFC)-based global controller is proposed. Findings Test results indicate that the designed controllers are more suitable for actual flight as they have smaller position tracking errors and energy consumption in all flight phases than the excellent model-free controller intelligent-PID. Practical implications The designed global controller, which works in all flight modes without adjusting its structure and parameters, can realize a stable and accurate tracking control of a tail-sitter and improve the resistance to unknown disturbances and model uncertainties. Originality/value The newly-designed controller is considered as an enhanced version of the traditional MFC. It further improves the control effect by using the poorly known dynamics of the system and choosing the IDA-PBC as the control auxiliary input. This method eliminates the unnecessary dynamics to continuously stabilize the vehicle with suitable energy consumption covering its entire flight envelope.

Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) is a common pathological problem during pregnancy, and its clinical etiology is complex and unclear. Dysfunction of trophoblasts may cause a series of pregnancy complications, including preeclampsia, fetal growth restriction, and RPL. Recently, lncRNAs have been found to be closely related to the occurrence and regulation of pregnancy-related diseases, but few studies have focused on their role in RPL. In this study, we identified a novel lncRNA BBOX1-AS1 that was significantly upregulated in villous tissues and serum of RPL patients. Functionally, BBOX1-AS1 inhibited proliferation, migration, invasion, tube formation and promoted apoptosis of trophoblast cells. Mechanistically, overexpression of BBOX1-AS1 activated the p38 and JNK MAPK signaling pathways by upregulating GADD45A expression. Further studies indicated that BBOX1-AS1 could increase the stability of GADD45A mRNA by binding hnRNPK and ultimately cause abnormal trophoblast function. Collectively, our study highlights that the BBOX1-AS1/hnRNPK/GADD45A axis plays an important role in trophoblast-induced RPL and that BBOX1-AS1 may serve as a potential target for the diagnosis of RPL.

In today's society, obesity is becoming increasingly serious, and controlling food intake and maintaining weight balance have become increasingly important. Here, we found that a stearic acid diet can increase food intake without causing obesity in mice compared with an oleic acid diet. Stearic acid increases food intake in mice by reducing serum leptin and increasing NPY neuronal excitability through the JAK2/STAT3 pathway. The impaired anorexic effect of leptin is probably due to repressive cholesterol-oxysterol-LXR-α/SREBP-1c-mediated leptin expression in mouse iWAT. At the same time, we found that stearic acid was not only poorly absorbed by itself in the small intestine but also reduced the entire absorption system of the small intestine. In conclusion, we have proven that a stearic acid diet can increase food intake in mice and avoid obesity, but whether a stearic acid diet could cause adverse reactions in the body remains to be studied.

In mammals, testis and epididymis are critical components of the male reproductive system for androgen production, spermatogenesis, sperm transportation, as well as sperm maturation. Here, we report single-molecule real-time sequencing data from the testis and epididymis of the Banna mini-pig inbred line (BMI), a promising laboratory animal for medical research. We obtained high-quality full-length transcriptomes and identified 9879 isoforms from 5592 gene loci, and 8761 isoforms from 5115 gene loci in the BMI testis and epididymis, respectively. Most of the isoforms we identified have novel exon structures that will greatly improve the annotation of testis- and epididymis- expressed genes in pigs. At the gene locus level, we found that 3055 genes (over 50%) were shared between BMI testis and epididymis, indicating widespread expression profiles of genes related to reproduction. We characterized extensive alternative splicing (AS) events in BMI testis and epididymis and showed that 96 testis-expressed genes and 79 epididymis-expressed genes have more than six isoforms, revealing the complexity of alternative splicing. We accurately defined the transcribed isoforms in BMI testis and epididymis by combining Pacific Biotechnology Isoform-sequencing (PacBio Iso-Seq) and Illumina RNA Sequencing (RNA-seq) techniques. The refined annotation of some key genes governing male reproduction will facilitate further understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying BMI male sterility. In addition, the high-confident identification of 548 and 669 long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in these two tissues has established a candidate gene set for future functional investigations. Overall, our study provides new insights into the role of the testis and epididymis during BMI reproduction, paving the path for further studies on BMI male infertility.

Infertility affects 10%-20% of the population in most countries, with approximately half of those cases resulting from male infertility. Although millions of infertile men are able to have children with the assistance of reproductive technology, individuals with non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA) syndrome are unable to do so because they lack functional sperm. Therefore, some other strategies for infertile NOA men are still urgently needed. Visceral fat (VF) influences left ventricular (LV) structure and diastolic function in type 2 diabetes (T2DM). However, there are limited data on the association among them based on different BMI levels as well as accounting for arterial stiffness. This study investigated the association of fat distribution, arterial stiffness, left ventricular (LV) structure and diastolic function in T2DM patients.This cross-sectional study comprised 905 patients. VF area (VFA) and subcutaneous fat area (SFA) were assessed by a dual bioelectrical impedance analyzer. Brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV) was measured by a volume-plethysmographic apparatus and LV structure and diastolic function were echocardiography. Patients were divided into three groups based on BMI levels. Linear and logistic regression analysis were used to investigate the association.In multivariate linear regression, relative wall thickness (RWT) was negatively correlated with E/A in obese patients (β = -0.203, p = 0.004). LV mass/heightsup2.7/supwas positively correlated with E/E' in normal weight (β = 0.232, p = 0.002) and obese patients (β = 0.232, p = 0.008). In multivariate logistic regression, baPWV was an independent determinant of LV remodeling (LVRM) in normal weight (OR = 1.001; 95% CI, 1.000, 1.002; P = 0.006), overweight (OR = 1.001; 95% CI, 1.000, 1.002; P = 0.008) and obese groups (OR = 1.003; 95% CI, 1.001, 1.004; P = 0.001), while VFA was correlated with arterial stiffness in normal weight (OR = 1.032; 95% CI, 1.017, 1.047; P lt; 0.001) and overweight groups (OR = 1.011; 95% CI, 1.002, 1.021; P = 0.015).VF might impact LVRM through changes in baPWV in T2DM patients, thus influencing diastolic function.

Tumor-associated macrophages (TAM) are the most abundant immune cells in the tumor microenvironment. They consist of various subsets but primarily resemble the M2 macrophage phenotype. TAMs are known to promote tumor progression and are associated with poor clinical outcomes. CD47 on tumor cells and SIRPα on TAMs facilitate a “don't-eat-me” signal which prevents cancer cells from immune clearance. Therefore, blockade of the CD47–SIRPα interaction represents a promising strategy for tumor immunotherapy. Here, we present the results on ZL-1201, a differentiated and potent anti-CD47 antibody with improved hematologic safety profile compared with 5F9 benchmark. ZL-1201 enhanced phagocytosis in combination with standards of care (SoC) therapeutic antibodies in in vitro coculture systems using a panel of tumor models and differentiated macrophages, and these combinational effects are Fc dependent while potently enhancing M2 phagocytosis. In vivo xenograft studies showed that enhanced antitumor activities were seen in a variety of tumor models treated with ZL-1201 in combination with other therapeutic mAbs, and maximal antitumor activities were achieved in the presence of chemotherapy in addition to the combination of ZL-1201 with other mAbs. Moreover, tumor-infiltrating immune cells and cytokine analysis showed that ZL-1201 and chemotherapies remodel the tumor microenvironment, which increases antitumor immunity, leading to augmented antitumor efficacy when combined with mAbs. Significance: ZL-1201 is a novel anti-CD47 antibody that has improved hematologic safety profiles and combines with SoC, including mAbs and chemotherapies, to potently facilitate phagocytosis and antitumor efficacy.

Bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells (BM-MSCs) are implicated in the pathogenesis of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). However, due to the high heterogeneity of AML the mechanism underlying the cross-talk between MSCs and leukaemia cells is not well understood. We found that mixed-lineage leukaemia-AF9 (MLL-AF9)-induced AML mice-derived MSCs had higher proliferative viability compared to wild-type mice-derived MSCs with ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2O (Ube2o) down-regulation. After overexpression of UBE2O in AML-derived MSCs, the growth capacity of MSCs was reduced with nuclear factor kappa B subunit 1 (NF-κB) pathway deactivation. In vitro co-culture assay revealed that UBE2O-overexpression MSCs suppressed the proliferation and promoted apoptosis of AML cells by direct contact. In vivo results revealed that the leukaemia burden was reduced and the overall survival of AML mice was prolonged, with decreased dissemination of leukaemia cells in BM, spleen, liver and peripheral blood. Additionally, subcutaneous tumorigenesis revealed that tumour growth was also suppressed in the UBE2O-overexpression MSCs group. In conclusion, UBE2O was expressed at a low level in MLL-AF9-induced AML mice-derived MSCs. Overexpression of UBE2O in MSCs suppressed their proliferation through NF-κB pathway deactivation, which resulted in AML suppression. Our study provides a theoretical basis for a BM microenvironment-based therapeutic strategy to control disease progression.

A superconducting energy pipeline cooled during its clean energy transferring becomes attractive recently to be a promising alternative way for combined green energy transmission to meet the ever-rising energy demand across the world. Though, study on superconducting energy pipelines gets into the conceptual design of single energy integration, the critical multi-composite structure and its characteristics have not yet been systematical. A novel high-temperature superconducting (HTS) energy pipeline integrated with power cable and liquid hydrogen (LH2) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) is proposed in this paper. The maximum allowable temperature difference and pressure drop methods are adopted to design the pipeline. A two-dimensional axisymmetric electromagnetic thermal coupling model has been established using the finite element method. The interface magnetic field formulation, heat transfer modeling, and multiphysics interface has been applied to conduct a detailed analysis of the designed superconducting energy pipeline (LH2-LNG-HTSEP). The results show that the designed LH2-LNG-HTSEP is feasible for practical operation and has more favorite characteristics to suit the HTS cable for the composite pipeline operation. The model and analysis method provide a theoretical base for the composite superconducting energy pipeline design and structural optimization.

Atherosclerosis (AS) is the pathological basis of many cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, in which macrophage-derived foam cells are the critical step and a typical pathological feature of early atherosclerosis. We previously confirmed that low-molecular-weight fucoidan (LMWF) had a good anti-AS effect, but the mechanism is still unclear. Here with aim to investigate the inhibitory effect of LMWF on foam cells and its molecular mechanism. Oil red O staining showed that LMWF effectively alleviated lipid accumulation and the formation of foam cells. Flow cytometry detection showed that LMWF promoted foam cells apoptosis. In addition, immunofluorescence showed that LMWF inhibited macrophage scavenger receptor A1 (SR-A1)-mediated lipid uptake and promoted ATP-binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1)-mediated cholesterol outflow. Western blot showed that LMWF downregulated SR-A1 protein expression and upregulated ABCA1 protein expression by inhibiting p38 mitogen activated protein kinase (p38MAPK) phosphorylation. Moreover, the mRNA transcriptions of Stat1, Elk-1, and Myc were downregulated when treated with LMWF. It concluded that, LMWF achieved bidirectional regulation of SR-A1 and ABCA1, then prevented the formation of foam cells, finally ameliorated the development of AS.

Blended online English learning has become a way to expand English outside the classroom. In the future, the blended learning approach allows students to learn English knowledge without the constraints of time, place and teacher subjects in traditional classroom teaching. However, there are still many problems in online English teaching in colleges and universities. The top three learning evaluation methods are: online exams, classroom assignments, and online answering tasks. Other learning evaluation methods are arranged in descending order. They are to evaluate their own English learning, to draw a conceptual map of learning knowledge, and to accept the teacher's opinion for advice. The performance of the three models has declined, and the performance of the online learning teaching model is still the highest among the three models. The accuracy of the online learning teaching model is 73.81%, indicating that the performance of online learning and teaching is the best.

The aim of this study was to clarify the dynamic neural activity of levodopa-induced dyskinesia (LID) in Parkinson's disease (PD).Using dynamic functional network connectivity (dFNC) analysis, we evaluated 41 PD patients with LID (LID group) and 34 PD patients without LID (No-LID group). Group spatial independent component analysis and sliding-window approach were employed. Moreover, we applied a k-means clustering algorithm on windowed functional connectivity (FC) matrices to identify reoccurring FC patterns (i.e., states).The optimal number of states was determined to be five, the so-called State 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. In ON phase, compared with No-LID group, LID group occurred more frequently and dwelled longer in strongly connected State 1, characterized by strong positive connections between visual network (VIS) and sensorimotor network (SMN). When switching from OFF to ON phase, LID group occurred less frequently in State 3 and State 4. Meanwhile, LID group dwelled longer in State 2 and shorter in State 3. No-LID group occurred more frequently in State 5 and less frequently in State 3. Additionally, correlation analysis demonstrated that dyskinesia's severity was associated with frequency of occurrence and dwell time in State 2, dominated by inferior frontal cortex in cognitive executive network (CEN).Using dFNC analysis, we found that dyskinesia may be related to the dysfunctional inhibition of CEN on motor loops and excessive excitation of VIS and SMN, which provided evidence of the changes in brain dynamics associated with the occurrence of dyskinesia.

Typically, through monitoring, collecting, integrating, and analyzing the sport scores of individuals, we can know about the sport physique of the individuals in a real-time manner, so as to further guarantee a high-quality health level of people. However, in the abovementioned sport scores-based sport physique monitoring scenario, two major challenges are raised. First, the collected sport scores for sport physique monitoring are often multi-dimensional, which makes it hard to evaluate the sport physique of individuals fairly and reasonably. Moreover, the multiple dimensions of sport scores are often of different weights or significances, which raise a challenging task to objectively evaluate the sport physique of an individual. Considering these challenges, a novel multi-dimensional sport physique evaluation and ranking method, named MSPER, is proposed in this research work for better healthcare for individuals, which is based on the TOPSIS theory. At last, a case study is presented to show the concrete procedure of MSPER method.
