However, not all AR patients respond to AIT, and early prediction of patient response is extremely important. This study aimed to example serum levels of multiple cytokines in AR and explore their association with the efficacy of AIT.Methods: A total of 74 AR patients treated with sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) were prospectively recruited. Serum samples were obtained before the onset of SLIT and cytokine levels detected by multiplex analysis. All patients were followed for > 1 year, and associations between cytokine levels and the early efficacy of SLIT were evaluated. Significantly distinctive cytokines were further verified in another independent cohort.Results: Sixty patients completed the visit schedule set: 35 patients were put into a responder group and 25 a nonresponder group. Multiple-cytokine profiling showed that cytokine levels differed significantly between the two groups. The responder group had higher concentrations of BAFF and CCL11 and lower levels of CCL2, CCL7, IFNγ, IL8, IL10, IL16, and IL33 than the nonresponder group (P< 0.05). Receiver-operating characteristic curves highlighted that serum BAFF, IFNγ, IL10, and IL33 levels were strongly predictive of the efficacy of SLIT (area under the curve < 0.7, P< 0.05). Serum IL10 and IL33 were overexpressed in nonresponders in the validation cohort. Patients in the responder group exhibited significantly higher IL10 levels and lower IL33 post-SLIT than pre-SLIT (P< 0.05), but no statistical difference was found in nonresponders (P< 0.05).Conclusion: Our data indicated that serum multiple-cytokine profiling was associated with response to SLIT and that IL10 and IL33 might serve as novel biomarkers for early prediction of efficacy and be involved in the therapeutic mechanisms of SLIT in AR patients.Keywords: allergic rhinitis, sublingual immunotherapy, multiple cytokines, efficacy

Abstract

Contains fulltext : 228204.pdf (Publisher’s version ) (Closed access) In a preregistered, cross-sectional study we investigated whether olfactory loss is a reliable predictor of COVID-19 using a crowdsourced questionnaire in 23 languages to assess symptoms in individuals self-reporting recent respiratory illness. We quantified changes in chemosensory abilities during the course of the respiratory illness using 0-100 visual analog scales (VAS) for participants reporting a positive (C19+; n=4148) or negative (C19-; n=546) COVID-19 laboratory test outcome. Logistic regression models identified univariate and multivariate predictors of COVID-19 status and post-COVID-19 olfactory recovery. Both C19+ and C19- groups exhibited smell loss, but it was significantly larger in C19+ participants (mean±SD, C19+: -82.5±27.2 points; C19-: -59.8±37.7). Smell loss during illness was the best predictor of COVID-19 in both univariate and multivariate models (ROC AUC=0.72). Additional variables provide negligible model improvement. VAS ratings of smell loss were more predictive than binary chemosensory yes/no-questions or other cardinal symptoms (e.g., fever). Olfactory recovery within 40 days of respiratory symptom onset was reported for ~50% of participants and was best predicted by time since respiratory symptom onset. We find that quantified smell loss is the best predictor of COVID-19 amongst those with symptoms of respiratory illness. To aid clinicians and contact tracers in identifying individuals with a high likelihood of having COVID-19, we propose a novel 0-10 scale to screen for recent olfactory loss, the ODoR-19. To investigate the effect of cerebral hemodynamic changes on white matter damage in premature infant with patent ductus arteriosus(PDA).A total of 106 premature infants were enrolled in the study, including 35 PDA infants with hemodynamic changes (hsPDA group), 35 PDA infants without hemodynamic changes (non-hsPDA group) and 36 non-PDA infants (control group). Serum level of neuron-specific enolase (NES) was detected and craniocerebral ultrasound examination was performed on d3, d7 and d14 after birth. The correlation between blood flow rate of PDA and gray scale value of lateral ventricle was analyzed.Gray scale values of lateral ventricle and serum levels of NES in hsPDA group were higher than those in control group on d3, d7 and d14 (P0.01), but no significant difference was observed between non-hsPDA group and control group (P0.05). There was a positive correlation between the blood flow rate of PDA and gray scale value of lateral ventricle (r=0.876, P0.01) in premature infants.Patent ductus arteriosus with hemodynamic changes is closely related to white matter damage in premature infants, and early intervention is necessary.

Geophones are key instruments used for seismic data acquisition, and the quality of seismic data acquired for prospecting depends directly on their performance. With the development of geophysical prospecting technologies and high-resolution exploration requirements, especially in tight marl oil exploration, an increased demand on the accuracy and quality of seismic data is presented, which includes broadening the frequency band and increasing the fidelity and signal to noise ratio in an attempt to better identify lithology, pore fluids, and fractured reservoirs. In the Jizhong Depression, the tight marl oil is mainly located in the Shulu Sag, where the background interference is strong and the marl strata are deeply buried with variable occurrence. These factors pose new challenges on the ability of digital geophones to detect oil. In this paper, the operation and performance characteristics of digital geophones are described, and then we focus on the first test conducted for tight marl oil exploration in the Shulu Sag. The test results show that compared with analog geophones, seismic data acquired using digital geophones are characterized by providing less waveform distortion, broader frequency bandwidth, and more abundant information. These improvements lay a foundation for high-resolution processing and identification of fractured reservoirs.

Geophone is one of the key equipment for seismic data acquisition and the quality of seismic data for prospecting depends directly on its performance. With the development of geophysical prospecting technology and high-resolution exploration requirement, especially in the tight marl oil exploration, increasing heavy demands of the accuracy and quality of seismic data acquired are presented, which include broad frequency band, high fidelity and high signal to noise ratio, so as to better identify lithology, pore fluids and fractured reservoir. Abstract

Summary At present, we always use the rectangular orthogonal mode layout for control point in near-surface structure investigation. Only in areas where the lithology or the near-surface structure is vary significantly, do we increase the density of control points in order to control the variation of the long-wavelength static correction. Because the accuracy requirements for near-surface structure investigations are increasing, it is necessary to study and analyze the control point layout mode. In this paper we study the problem of uniformity of control point layout in near-surface structure investigation by theoretical analysis and demonstration using real seismic data in order to research the influence of control point layout mode on the near-surface structure model and static corrections in nearsurface structure investigations.
