Combined with the space target observation radar application requirements, related issues of spaceborne MMW (MilliMeter Wave) InISAR (Interferometric Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar) are researched. A proposed system contains an L-shaped orthogonal observation structure is designed and analyzed basing on a spaceborne platform. The location of a space target can be acquired using imaging and interferometry, and the interferometric phase wrapping is solved by sub-band dual frequency conjugated processing (DFCP). The two-stage space target location method and the spaceborne radar system are presented. Finally, a simulation is designed and proven to be a feasible solution by the simulation experiment which also indicated the direction of the following research work.
