A memristor with Au/polyimide (PI)/Au structure is prepared by magnetron sputtering to investigate the multiphotoconductance resistive switching (RS) memory behavior. The PI-based memristor presents stable bipolar RS memory and is sensitive to visible light. Four discrete conductance states in both high-resistance state (HRS) and low-resistance state (LRS) are obtained when illuminating by 365, 550, 590, and 780 nm light. Electron trapping and detrapping from the defects distributed at interfaces and the PI switching layer are responsible for the observed RS memory behavior. The enhanced trapping and detrapping process by light illumination is responsible for the multiconductance states. This work provides the possibility for further development of neuromorphic vision sensors using an organic semiconductor-based memristor.

Preparation of titanium alloy coating on the low carbon steel surface is an effective way to ensure the service performance of steel in marine environment. In this work, the effect of Cu interlayer thickness on the microstructure and properties of the titanium alloy coating was systematically studied. The results showed that a thin Cu interlayer cannot inhibit the diffusion of iron, and the Fe-Ti intermetallic compound (IMC) layer at the coating/substrate interface weakens the bonding property of the coating. And iron compounds on the surface of the coating surface are negative for corrosion resistance. The thickening of Cu interlayer inhibits the diffusion of iron and increases the shear strength of the coating by 40%～60%. When the iron compound is not present on the coating surface, the optimal electrochemical properties of the titanium alloy coating were achieved. However, the excessive thickness of the Cu interlayer will accelerate the heat loss of the molten pool and lead to the fusion defect in the initial cladding stage. In this study, the optimum thickness range of Cu interlayer (290μm ~ 375μm) was obtained. When the interlayer was in this range, titanium alloy coatings with excellent comprehensive properties could be prepared.

Herein, Ti-6Al-4V alloy was remelting by high-energy laser, the influence of laser energy density of mobile laser source on the evolution of solidification structure of Ti-6Al-4V alloy was studied, and the changes of relevant service performance of Ti-6Al-4V alloy after laser-remelting were explored. The results showed that there were four distinct regions: overheated zone, melting zone, heat-affected zone and substrate zone in Ti-6Al-4V alloy after laser remelting. The overheated zone and melting zone were dominated by primary α phase and secondary α phase, and a heat-affected zone was dominated by β phase. With the increase of laser energy density, the depth of molten pool and the range of melting zone in Ti-6Al-4V alloy increased, and the crystal phase distribution and grain size changed significantly. Laser-remelting Ti-6Al-4V alloy could still maintain a good passive state in the potentiodynamic polarization curve test, and the optimal laser power during remelting was 1200 W. This study proved that the crystal phase composition and grain size during the solidification process after laser-remelting were a key factor affecting the service performance of Ti-6Al-4V alloy.

Mitochondria are important organelles that provide cellular energy and play a vital role in cell differentiation and apoptosis. Osteoporosis is a chronic metabolic bone disease mainly caused by an imbalance in osteoblast and osteoclast activity. Under physiological conditions, mitochondria regulate the balance between osteogenesis and osteoclast activity and maintain bone homeostasis. Under pathological conditions, mitochondrial dysfunction alters this balance; this disruption is important in the pathogenesis of osteoporosis. Because of the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in osteoporosis, mitochondrial function can be targeted therapeutically in osteoporosis-related diseases. This article reviews different aspects of the pathological mechanism of mitochondrial dysfunction in osteoporosis, including mitochondrial fusion and fission, mitochondrial biogenesis, and mitophagy, and highlights targeted therapy of mitochondria in osteoporosis (diabetes induced osteoporosis and postmenopausal osteoporosis) to provide novel targets and prevention strategies for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and other chronic bone diseases.

We present and experimentally validate two minimal compact memristive models for spiking neuronal signal generation using commercially available low-cost components. The first neuron model is called the Memristive Integrate-and-Fire (MIF) model, for neuronal signaling with two voltage levels: the spike-peak, and the rest-potential. The second model MIF2 is also presented, which promotes local adaptation by accounting for a third refractory voltage level during hyperpolarization. We show both compact models are minimal in terms of the number of circuit elements and integration area. Using the MIF and MIF2 models, we postulate the design of a memristive solid-state brain with an estimation of its surface area and power consumption. Analytical projections show that a memristive solid-state brain could be realized within (i) the surface area of the median human brain, 2,400cm², (ii) the same volume of the median human brain, and (iii) a total power budget of approximately 20 W using a 3.5 nm technology. Distinct from the past decade of memristive neuron literature, our benchmarks are attained using generic commercially available memristors that are reproducible using off-the-shelf components. We expect this work can promote more experimental demonstrations of memristive circuits that do not rely on prohibitively expensive fabrication processes.

In order to meet the ultra-low power requirement of modern digital systems, voltage scaling is a fruitful technique that is widely adopted. However, the voltage scaling at ultra-scaled technologies significantly affect the stability of an Static Random Access Memory (SRAM) cell. This work provides an extensive review of various designs and techniques for solving issues related to SRAM cell stability. Decoupling the read operation is a commonly used technique for addressing read stability issue. Modified Schmitt-trigger based cell core, loop-cutting and additional discharge path based techniques have also been employed in the literature to enhance the read stability. However, the write-ability and stability of halfselected (HS) cells have been compromised in some of these technique. For write-ability enhancement, most of the techniques involve either weakening of pull-up/pull-down devices (to reduce the current responsible for storing the data) or strengthening of access transistors (to enhance the write current). It includes VDD/VSS -cut off or -floating, feedback cutting, multi-Vth write assist based cells. Apart from discussing the alternative bitcells, we also cover several peripheral read/write assist techniques. WL underdrive (WLUD) and dynamic WLUD are effective read assist techniques. WL -boost, WL -delayed boost, VDD-floating/lowering, transient VDD collapse, VSS raised, dual split control-VSS raised and negative BL (NBL) are among the peripheral techniques for enhancing write-ability. Furthermore, various techniques for mitigating the HS cell issues, such as write-back, column decoupled local wordline, modified bitinterleaving array architecture are discussed. Finally, the Cross-point selection based cell accessing in-built technique is illustrated. Through summary tables, conclusions are also derived for suggesting a circuit of choice for various categories.

To retrospectively evaluate the safety and efficacy of computed tomography (CT)-guided iodine-125 (Data of patients with abdominal incision metastases of colorectal cancer from November 2010 to October 2020 were retrospectively reviewed. Each incisional metastasis was percutaneously treated withA total of 17 patients were enrolled in this study. The median follow-up was 18 months (range, 2.7-22.1 months). At 3, 6, 12, and 18 months after the treatment, objective response rate was 52.9%, 63.6%, 33.3%, and 0%, respectively. A small amount of local hematoma occurred in two patients and resolved spontaneously without any treatment. Two patients experienced a minor displacement of radioactive seeds with no related symptoms. Severe complications, such as massive bleeding and radiation injury, were not observed. No ≥ grade 3 adverse events were identified. By the end of follow-up, 14 patients died of multiple hematogenous metastases. The one-year overall survival rate was 41.6%, and the median overall survival was 8.6 months.CT-guided
