Until recent times, American religious freedom was in trouble. The United States Supreme Court had weakened the First Amendment considerably, and religious freedom claims were often subordinated to sexual liberty and other rights claimants. States routinely denied funds and benefits to religious parties and removed traditional religious symbols and ceremonies from public life. Leading academics castigated religious group rights claimants given recent charges of sexual abuse and financial fraud in some churches. No longer! The past decade has seen a great awakening of American religious freedom, led by the United States Supreme Court. In more than two dozen cases since 2012, the Court has strengthened the First Amendment to strike down public regulations and policies that discriminated against religion. Introduction. People deprived of liberty, due to their condition and characteristics, suffer greater changes in their health than the general population, particularly in relation to personality disorders, consumption of psychoactive substances, and suicidal tendencies. The prison system is aware of these risks, and universally, multiple approaches to the subject have been developed, as evidenced by the abundant literature, for its early detection. Objective. Apply the screening instrument, the Brief Jail Mental Health Screening (BJMHS) test, to a sample of people deprived of liberty upon admission to three Colombian prisons, to establish the prevalence of mental health in these institutions. Methodology. The type of study was cross-sectional in a population of incarcerated individuals in three institutions, two Colombian prisons for men, and one for women, between 2019 and 2020. The final validated sample was 417 people, 22.3% women and 77.7% men, for mental health screening, applied to the admission of the population deprived of liberty in prisons. Results. The global prevalence of mental health was 46.0% with a 95% Confidence interval (41.3% to 50.8%) for the Buen Pastor prison; 46.2% with a 95% Confidence interval (35.9% to 56.6%), for the Modelo prison 51.5% with a 95% Confidence interval (43.0% to 60.0%); and for the Picota prison with 42.0% with a 95% Confidence interval (34.9% to 49.1%). A greater impact on mental health was found in people accused or convicted of crimes against sexual freedom, integrity and training. against public safety, and against the family. Conclusion. The prevalence of mental health found in Colombian prisons has a similar magnitude to the same populations in various parts of the world, showing greater reliability in men than in women. Background/Objective: Sexual double standard (SDS) that is favorable to man have been negatively associated with sexual satisfaction. However, to date there are no studies examining the relationship between the SDS and components of the Interpersonal Exchange Model of Sexual Satisfaction (IEMSS). This paper set out to examine differences in IEMSS components between SDS adherence typologies (i.e., man-favorable, woman-favorable, and egalitarian) for sexual freedom and sexual shyness. Method: A total of 1,165 heterosexual adults (594 men and 571 women) participated by answering the Spanish versions of the Interpersonal Exchange Sexual Satisfaction Questionnaire and the Sexual Double Standard Scale. Results: Men had higher scores on the component of equality of sexual rewards in the egalitarian typology compared to the man-favorable typology in the domain of sexual freedom. Women had higher scores on equality of sexual costs component in the egalitarian typology compared to the man-favorable typology in the domain of sexual shyness. Conclusions: These findings, which associate the egalitarian typology with higher levels of sexual satisfaction, suggest considering the SDS adherence typology in the analysis of heterosexual couples' sexual satisfaction. Ex delicto civil liability is subject to a series of principles that emanate from its civil nature, such as the dispositive principle. The result of this power of disposition of the victim is the possibility of waiving to be compensated. The waiver is a voluntary abandonment of a right available to the injured party. It is a free, final and unequivocal act, and that requires for its validity not to be affected by a defect in the consent. It is an act in principle irrevocable. The modification of article 112 LECrim carried out by Organic Law 10/2022, of September 6, on the Integral Guarantee of sexual freedom allows the revocation of the resignation granted by the victim in different cases related to the error or vices in the formation or expression of consent. Organic Law 10/2022, of September 6, on the comprehensive guarantee of sexual freedom, has modified the structure of sexual aggressions, eliminating the classic distinction between abuse and aggression, giving an apparent greater relevance to the figure of consent, as well as introducing a new attenuated type and expanding the aggravated type with the intention of contributing to the eradication of sexual violence. However, not everything has turned out as expected by the legislator, drawing a new criminal regulation full of edges, fallacies and conflicting issues to which this article intends to give an answer, both dogmatic and applicative according to the criteria maintained by the Spanish Courts of Justice. The Metaverse is considered the next evolution of the Internet for providing users with an immersive experience in a virtual world not seen before on the Internet. This new virtual experience will allow users to be part of a new reality that only exists through the screen of a device. Some examples of activities that emerged in the early days of the Internet and virtual reality could be considered sexual crimes against women. This paper is a contribution to the study of historical criminal law. Specifically, it analyzes the crimes against honesty in the Penal Codes of 1822, 1848 and 1876. In such a way that it is shown how the morality of Spanish society has been evolving during this time and how certain conducts have been penalized and others decriminalized. Background/Objective: Sexual double standard (SDS) (i.e., the attitude involving different criteria for evaluating sexual behaviors of men and women) has been related to sexual victimization and aggression. It was examined the effect of sex, the typology of adherence to SDS in the sexual freedom and sexual shyness areas (egalitarian, man-favorable, and woman-favorable), and of the sex x SDS type interaction on different categories of sexual victimization and sexual aggression. Methods: In a sample of 716 Spanish heterosexual adults (264 men and 452 women), aged 18 to 66 years, sociodemographic variables, SDS and reported experiences of sexual victimization and aggression were assessed. Results: In sexual victimization, a significant effect of sex was found with increases of 21-27.4% for being a woman. In sexual aggression, the significant effect of sex implied increases of 12.4-13.9% in attempted rape and rape for being male. Men with man-favorable SDS typology reported higher numbers of rape assaults, relative to all other typologies. Conclusions: The use of the SDS typologies of adherence contributes to the study of the relationship of this attitude with sexual victimization and aggression. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article titled "El Destape. La cultura sexual en la Argentina después de la dictadura" analyzes the phenomenon of "el destape" (the unveiling) in Argentina after the military dictatorship (1976-1983). The book argues that "el destape" was a process of sexual liberation that took place in post-dictatorship Argentina, in which society experienced a proliferation of products with explicit sexual content, discussions about sexual pleasure, the fight for sexual and reproductive rights, and homosexual activism. The main objective of the book is to study the transformation of meanings, norms, and practices around sexuality that occurred with the new political regime since 1983. The author argues that "el destape" generated changes in the perception, participation, and understanding of sexuality, leading to a more open sexual culture and a new way of understanding citizenship. The article analyzes the tensions between values and rights in Latin American democracies in relation to religion and politics. It highlights the influence of neoliberal policies and conservative religious activism in the dispute between the State and the Catholic Church and Pentecostal Evangelical Churches. It also raises the need to consolidate the democratization of societies and expand rights amidst questioning and pressure from conservative religious fundamentalisms. The particular case of Brazil is mentioned, emphasizing the importance of reflecting on legal limits to guarantee pluralism as a democratic principle. This paper deals with the study of the crime of prostitution of adults (art. 187 Penal Code), which was modified by Organic Law 1/2015, of March 30. To that end, doctrinal and jurisprudential interpretation is studied. From the analysis of this figure, it can be deduced that the main difficulties presented by its application are the legal insecurity caused by the behavior of profiting by exploiting the prostitution of others and the problems manifested by the aggravating circumstance of belonging to a criminal organization or group. Precisely the Draft Organic Law for the Comprehensive Guarantee of Sexual Freedom of July 26, 2021 proposes a new wording of the crime of prostitution, which modifies the penalty and the concept of the conduct of profiting from exploiting the prostitution of others and creating an aggravated type. Likewise, such legal reform expands the content of the aggravating circumstance of belonging to a criminal organization and group, assigning a greater penalty in the case of bosses, administrators or managers. This article aims at examining the fictional characterization of women philosophers during the eighteenth century, focusing on Donatien Alphonse François de Sade's novel, Histoire de Juliette, ou les prospérités du vice. We seek to show that the marquis's heroines philosophers (personified by libertine women) in Histoire de Juliette are modeled after the figure of the hetaira in Classical Greece. We analyze two sets of references to the hetairai that appear in the aforementioned novel: the description of Clairwil, one of Juliette's libertine tutors and partners, and the participation of Aspasie, Phryné and Lais in Juliette's libertine entourage. This article, which I have divided into two parts, is about three liberal women writers and one male writer. In the first, I discuss the start of the women's revolution in Paris in 1900, through the texts of Nahui Olin, Colette, and Renée Vivien. In the second part, I review the boom of women's liberation in 1920 through the works of Colette and Victor Margueritte. Through the French texts of these authors, I demonstrate how female sexual liberation evolved in Paris during two decades: 1900 and 1920. We study the responsibility that arises from the commission of crimes against sexual freedom, especially of minors, by members of religious Confessions, both in the order of the State and in the confessional order –centering us in the canonical–, which is the one that has a framework a completely defined juridical law, highlighting the limits to the autonomy of religious confessions when it comes to purging responsibilities, both canonical and secular, for unlawful acts committed by clerics or the like, in a way that prevents that autonomy of religious confessions is perverted and constitutes an obstacle to the punishment of the guilty. For this, it is necessary to deepen the collaboration between secular and confessional orders.
