Introduction: nutritional interventions (NI) in schoolchildren allow to take action in health promotion, physical activity, and nutrition actions for the prevention of malnutrition. Objective: to evaluate the effect of an NI on the nutrient content in school snacks (SS) in public education schools in Mexico. Methods: descriptive, longitudinal, and prospective study with a sample of 812 children were classified into intervention group (IG) and control group (CG). Anthropometric measurements (weight, height, waist circumference) were made to identify nutritional status (NS); to evaluate the SS, the food and beverages that the children took from home to consume during the break were recorded on a checklist; the NI was performed in the IG for 12 weeks with a 6-week reinforcement and the final evaluation was carried out that included NS and overweight (OW) in both groups. Results: a 1.4 % increase in overweight (OW) and obesity (OB) was observed in the IG, while in the CG it increased 5.5 %. In the SS, the CG showed a higher consumption of calories, carbohydrates, and sugars. In the intragroup analysis, the IG decreased carbohydrates, sugars. This intervention showed a small effect on the decrease of calories, carbohydrates and polyunsaturated acids of the IG compared to the CG. Conclusion: NI had a positive effect on the decrease in the energy and carbohydrate content of school snacks and therefore a slower trend in the prevalence of OW and OB in the IG compared to the CG. Mathematics, due to its importance, is present in any curriculum or educational training program; Therefore, it is essential to have a training process in schoolchildren in which they achieve a high basic knowledge of numbers in different mathematical operations. Therefore, this research aims to develop a didactic strategy, based on digital resources for the learning of multiplication. The research was descriptive-explanatory and was developed in three phases, during the 2023 school year. It was framed in a mixed approach in which different methods and techniques were used; multi-methodological complementarity was used in the rigorous interpretation of the results resulting from scientific inquiry. In it, an analysis of the main aspects related to the learning of multiplication was carried out, in which the necessary aspects were raised to propose the design and development of the didactic strategy based on digital resources. To determine the effectiveness of the proposal, experts were consulted and the main results achieved were assessed. In this sense, favorable results were shown, related to the use of digital resources in the teaching of multiplication. The use of the experts' criteria evidenced the objective nature of the proposal, in this sense, the comprehensiveness of the actions, the variety, the sufficiency and the replicability of the same were recognized. Computational thinking emerges as a field of knowledge due to the increasing importance of technology and computing in today's society. It has been demonstrated that computational thinking can enhance problem-solving abilities by employing techniques from computer science to develop solutions for complex problems. It often involves the application of mathematical principles, such as algebra, geometry, and statistics. Mathematics is fundamental to computational thinking as it provides the theoretical and conceptual foundation for many computer science techniques. Mathematical concepts like functions, sets, and graph theory are essential for understanding algorithms and data structures. The aim of this study was to analyze the integration of mathematics and computational thinking and how this relationship has been measured using both connected and disconnected activities in primary school students. A total of 302 articles were reviewed, applying inclusion and exclusion criteria related to the study's variables of interest. The review found that most articles integrate mathematics and computational thinking based on their interconnectedness, using classroom strategies that support both fields of knowledge. Eleven articles propose activities encompassing four mathematical components (geometric, metric, spatial, and numeric) to address computational thinking, with the geometric component being the most commonly utilized. Only seven articles included students at the 0th grade level, and only two articles worked with populations from Central (Panama) and South America (Uruguay), suggesting that computational thinking is in its early stages in our continent, excluding North American countries where a higher number of articles are reported. The process of coming out as gay, lesbian, or transgender parents is just one of the available options. In general, many individuals in the LGBTQ+ community choose to keep their sexual identity private to avoid potential challenges for their children, such as bullying in schools. This is particularly common in stepfamilies or in previous heterosexual unions, where concealing their sexual orientation may be more comfortable. They can present themselves as separated parents, which is commonly assumed to be heterosexual, and the sexual orientation of parents is usually not investigated before their children enter school. Given this uncertainty, this study aims to identify the triggering factors of school bullying related to parents' sexual identity, analyzing their interaction as a neutrosophic set and modeling it through neutrosophic statistics. Digital Education is a key factor to bring developing countries up to speed so they are able to compete under the new rules of the Digital Economy. The Covid-19 pandemic crisis has made more evident the need to implement a global educational strategy where all children can be prepared to learn in a digital environment independently of their country and birth condition. In this research, a Digital Education Index for Developing Countries (DEIFDC) has been defined and applied for the Peruvian case. The construction of the index is based on relevant variables organized in three levers to determine Peru's capacity to better prepare current primary school children to acquire the competences needed in a 21st century workforce. The results show good development on pedagogical capabilities and students' readiness but only adequate maturity on the development of schools' infrastructure. Peru's slow digital development, in comparison to other countries in the region, is distressing the availability of high-skilled labour, digital GDP growth and digital services productivity hence major efforts will need to be undertaken to guarantee Peruvians upgrade to a digital prepared society. The implementation of ludic approaches in the teaching of mathematics has generated a growing interest due to its potential to improve learning and academic performance in this discipline. The objective of this study was to design a system of ludic tasks for the development of mathematical problem-solving skills in sixth grade elementary school students. The sample consisted of 43 sixthgrade students of the Luis Alfredo Noboa Icaza Educational Unit during the 2023-2024 school year, divided into an experimental group (n=22) and a control group (n=21). A combination of classroom observation, pre-and post-tests, validation by expert criteria and statistical analysis was used, including the Mann-Whitney U test. The results revealed that the experimental group experienced significant improvements compared to the control group in terms of cognitive, procedural, and attitudinal skills related to mathematical problem-solving. The implementation of playful activities such as the "Math Treasure Hunt" and the "Math Problem Challenge" fostered a stimulating educational environment that promoted active participation, collaboration among students, and the practical application of mathematical concepts. The effective connection between schools and families is a crucial aspect of the educational success of students. This study focused on designing and evaluating educational workshops to strengthen this link in the General Basic Education School Rotary International in Canton Mocache. The design of the workshop system was based on a thorough review of the literature on school-family bonding, as well as on the specific needs identified in the educational community. Workshops were developed that addressed topics such as effective communication, parental involvement in school activities, and strategies to support learning at home. These workshops were designed taking into account cultural diversity and variations in family expectations and values. The mixed methodology employed included exploratory surveys to teachers, as well as pre-test and post-test to 35 families and 37 students respectively, along with a validation by expert criteria. Results revealed significant improvements in school-family communication, parental involvement in school activities, and student academic achievement. These findings suggest that the designed educational workshops have a positive impact on strengthening the school-family bond, thus contributing to improve the educational quality and academic development of students. Fostering motivation in the classroom is crucial to improve students' academic performance. The objective of this study was to design a guide of motivational didactic strategies adapted to the school context and to evaluate their impact on the academic performance of second grade students in the EEB Mocache. A single-group quasi-experimental design with a mixed approach was used to collect both quantitative and qualitative data. The target population included all second grade students and teachers at the educational institution, constituting a total of 3 teachers and 30 students. Surveys were conducted with students to assess their level of motivation, semi-structured interviews with teachers to obtain qualitative information, and a pretest and posttest were conducted to measure students' academic performance. Statistical techniques such as analysis of central tendency, normality tests (Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk) and Wilcoxon signedrank test were used to analyze the data. The results show a significant improvement in academic performance after the implementation of the motivational strategies, supporting their effectiveness in the school context. This study focused on the importance of values education in fostering respect in students of General Basic Education (EGBE). The research was based on the identification of the difficulties faced by teachers regarding students' attitudes towards respect and related values. An educational program was designed that included workshops, focused on teachers and family members, for the development of strategies for values education with emphasis on respect. The workshops addressed fundamental issues of values, strategies for their promotion, interventions in conflict situations and collaboration between family and school. Teachers and tutors of elementary school students from an educational unit participated in the workshops. Experts in educational evaluation participated to validate the program. The results of the post-workshop evaluation showed significant improvements in indicators such as compliance with rules, attitude towards authorities, assertive communication, conflict resolution and emotional self-control. Statistical tests were applied to compare the results between different groups of students, highlighting a greater growth in the second year of EGBE. This research allowed us to underline the relevance of values education as an effective tool to cultivate respect and foster a more positive, collaborative and inclusive educational environment. Background: the prevalence of overweight and obesity in the child population is a global public health problem, with measures such as the promotion of physical activity being necessary. One of the recognized factors for this is the development of motor competence, due to its dynamic interaction with physical activity, so it is necessary to understand its relationship with weight status. Objective: the aims of this study are to determine whether there are differences in the levels of motor competence of schoolchildren in Chilean Patagonia according to their nutritional status, as well as to determine the association between body mass index (BMI) and the levels of motor competence in these schoolchildren. Material and methods: we evaluated 295 boys and girls in 5th and 6th grade of primary school, from educational centres in Coyhaique and Punta Arenas. We used the MOBAK 5-6 test to assess their motor competence. Results: schoolchildren with normal weight status presented higher values of motor competence in self-movement (M = 3.1; SD = 1.84) compared to overweight (M = 2.7; SD = 1.68) and obese schoolchildren (M = 1.7; SD = 1.57), presenting significant differences between all groups (p < 0.001). In object control, no differences were found between the groups. In addition, there was an inverse association of object control with gender (ß: 1.49; p < 0.001) and BMI (ß: -0.05; p = 0.026), while self-movement had an inverse association with BMI (ß: -0.11; 95 % CI: -0.15 -0.07; p < 0.001). Conclusion: weight status and motor competence are associated. Schoolchildren with higher BMI values tend to perform lower in self-movement. The present work titled learning based on games as an empowering resource for the development of literacy in children, specifically in students of the sixth grade of primary school, had as context of study the school "Manuel Octavio Rivera" of the Montecristi canton, For the development of the same, as an initial action, a diagnosis will be applied to the subjects of the research (sixth grade students) using different methods, including theoretical methods such as analysis - synthesis, inductive - deductive for the incursion into the essence of the variables - game-based learning and literacy, also empirical methods, mainly a test, survey, interview and observation sheet. Through this application it is expected to collect and identify weaknesses in reading and writing, insufficiencies in the mastery of spelling, especially, the graphemes that generate confusion: b, v, s, x, c, z, y, ll, deficiencies in the understanding of word meanings, scarce vocabulary in students, based on psychological age. From bibliographic research, theoretical methods are used such as documentary analysis, which allowed the study of bibliography and documents, as well as inductive and deductive methods that allowed us to reflect on education for life and arrive at the following conclusions: Reinforce the importance of education for life in Basic General Education and emphasize the need for an education that goes beyond the mere accumulation of knowledge; highlight the importance of life education for personal, social and professional development; defend education for life as a fundamental right for all; propose solutions and strategies; suggest actions to transform traditional education into education for life and urge governments and educational institutions to invest in education for life. Education for life is an imperative for the 21st century. Only through education that prepares people for the challenges of today's world can we build a better future. It is time to transform traditional education into education for life. We have the responsibility of providing new generations with the tools they need to function successfully in a constantly changing world. Education for life is a fundamental right for everyone. All children and young people have the right to an education that allows them to develop their maximum potential and contribute to society. The future of education is in education for life. In this study, the aim is to determine the impact of training programs and technological resources on reading comprehension by conducting a literature research review on Scopus and Web of Science databases. The importance of reading comprehension in education and its influence on learning is highlighted. A systematic review of 11 articles is conducted following the PRISMA statement with meta-analysis, including primary school students (ages 6-12). The results indicate improvements in reading comprehension with such interventions, albeit with variability in effectiveness. The results pinpoint the relevance of using educational technology to encourage the acquisition of reading and writing skills in primary school students. In conclusion, there is emphasis on the need to research technological resources that promote reading comprehension, underscoring the ongoing importance of digital evolution in education. This article analyzes the displacement of students in an elementary school after the implementation of the Full-Time Schools Program in Mexico and how this change was experienced by teachers. It is an intrinsic case study, with a qualitative approach, through participant observation and interviews with members of the school community. The results show at the local level the cycle of gentrification observed in the case study: the reinforcement of the program that improved the conditions of the school and increased its prestige in the municipality, a greater demand for admission, in which the sectors with better socioeconomic conditions mobilized various strategies to secure a place, and the ousting of the original student body.
