Starting from a configurational conception of social space as a dynamic, subjective, and sensitive experience framed by situated cultural, class, and structural contexts, prioritizing the interrelation with youth (in plural) who live, resist, enjoy, dispute and appropriate the night (in its sense of nocturnality-noctem) in contexts of diverse sociability, inequality, violence in intra and intergenerational articulation, we will reflect on how these elements can contribute to studies that delve into the relationship between young people and the nocturnal space. This is characterized by access and experience differentiated by class, identity, and representation in terms of entertainment, security, criminalization, and violence. To do this, after marking some considerations about youth as specific chronotopes, a review of three spatial aspects will be given (lived-conceived space, space as a container of the social and relative space). Finally, we reflect on the possibilities that these spatial aspects open for ethnographic research and practice of studies on night space and youth around the subjective experience lived in nodes, circuits/districts of consumption of the night-time economy, and representative places within of the nocturnal mental image of the city. This is not a market study or consumer practices but the analysis of asymmetrical power relations and subjective experiences based on accesses differentiated by class, gender, and sociability. This paper analyzes the interrelation between nocturnity, youths, and systemic violence. Based on the theory of conceived and inhabited space, ethnographic work, and on-site exploration, a reconstruction of urban imaginaries "of the border" and "of the night" is presented, as well as the narratives generated by Tijuana's young residents. Thus, a distinction between the night (noctis) and nocturnity (noctem) is exposed, along with some key elements that make up the accessibility, experience, and participation of young people in Tijuana nights' nocturnity in recreational, inequality, transgression, and violence contexts. The results allow us to perceive nocturnity as a socially constructed space, complex and dynamic, with diffuse and rigid borders, that needs a comprehensive public policy that seeks the inclusion of the youth and the progressive decrease of the inequalities that affect them. This article analyzes the immersion of Felisberto Hernández's writing in a series of equivalences between the nocturnal, blindness, touch, non-knowledge and memory. Equivalences that unfold within a dialectic between day and night which poses two ways of facing reality, the first governed by the light of knowledge, the second by mystery. These equivalences have music as a connecting element. The access of his work to the development of music and mystery creates an estrangement of things and characters. After a thorough exegetical analysis of the story of Ruth, where processes of the dark night of San Juan are manifested, this experience is analyzed through the characters of the book. The notion of hesed is decisive for the individuation of the night. Next, the sanjuanista text is studied in order to determine which mystical moment of the author of Ruth would correspond to the one which inspired Juan de la Cruz to compose his prayer. First, the words related to the "dream" will be analyzed to build an idea about possible relationships or synonyms collected in the neighborhood. Subsequently, a brief introduction to the concept of dream and its appreciation in ancient Peru will be made, to verify our approach in which we explain that the "dream" was an "activity", in all its dimensions, in another space-time; We end by analyzing one of the drivers of the dream: the "sorcerers" or the "sorceresses": methods, "calls", and so on. In this article, we propose night tourism as a research topic. This concept seeks to analyze the use of the night as a public space that generates a tourist offer and revalues a place or activity. To carry out this analysis, we will use the concept of the economy of intimate night experience, which will allow us to understand and offer planning proposals for the generation of value through the institutionalization and conceptualization of the night-time use of places, practices, symbols, and relationships. In this article I will present the results of a research project about the first practices of nightlife among adolescents in Barcelona (Spain). The discovery of nightlife represents a key moment in teenagers' lives and takes part into multiple dynamics, from the negotiation of security to the expansion of social networks, from the exploration of identity to emancipation. The research was developed in Barcelona between 2014 and 2016, using different qualitative methods. The article focuses on the importance of daily life spaces in the first practices of nightlife; more specifically, it analyses three categories of spaces that play a particularly important role: the neighbourhood, the "legitimated spaces" and the ephemeral places of the party. In the first part I will briefly introduce the research and its theoretical framework; then I present the methods employed; I will subsequently show the main findings and finally discuss the conclusions, that will underline how these spaces offer the conditions for a first autonomous experience of nightlife. This paper proposes an analysis about Gregorio Gutiérrez González and José Eusebio Caro's poetic plays as an axis that allow us to ponder some reaches, variables and characteristics of the 19th Century Colombian romantic poetry. The analysis focuses on how the entanglement between romantic sensibility, nationalistic project, and religious doctrine constitute the root cause of the poetic conflict of Gutiérrez and Caro's nocturnal poetry, from which the scope and limitations of their poetic proposal are formulated. "Night" is a privileged term in the lexicon of the mystics and it has various meanings. There is an intimate communion among all mystical experiences. The article examines the different modalities of the "night" symbol in the texts of both the Spanish mystics of the Golden Age and those of the Sufis. This article analyses the epistemological, methodological and ethical issues faced during ethnographic research examining nightlife, music, dance and eroticism in Córdoba, Argentina. First off, we conceptualize the meanings that "nightlife" had for the subjects in the research process and describe the diversity of "nights" that we encountered in the research process. Then, we discuss the issue of situationist drift during fieldwork. Subsequently, drawing on vignettes taken from our ethnographies, we reflect on the potential and limitations of "participant observation" in situations involving significant bodily exposure and sensory experimentation, including illegal activities. Finally, we examine the issue of the "anthropological blues" that, according to Roberto Da Matta, characterize the ethnographer's work, and Da Matta's proposal for the construction of an "anthropological groove" capable of producing knowledge from the immersion in the flow of the situations that are part of the "ethnographic drift". The article explores the way cinema established itself in Bogota in the early decades of the twentieth century, as a cultural show and relevant social event where the participation of three main actors converged: entrepreneurs that made the cinema a business, official institutions who saw in the cinema an activity to be regulated and the public who actively established a dynamic relationship during the performances. The concept of cinema experience will be introduced to collect the items that gave meaning to "watch movies", and entertainment temples to point out how the places where film started an ongoing project strove to make the experience a complete feast of leisure. In this article, I attempt to explain the religious differences between the day and the night because the ancients never understood both of them as a unit. I study the features of the day and especially the features of the night in several cultures of the Ancient World (Sumerian, Babylonian, Egyptian, Hebrew, Greek, Roman and Celtic). So, we can notice the day is always a moment of life while the night is often a moment of death and fear. For this reason, the day wasn't divided into 24 hours; it was actually divided into 12 hours of darkness and 12 hours of daylight. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article aims to show the similarities and differences between the dark night of the soul described by St. John of the Cross and depression, by analyzing the processes which the saint experienced from the perspective of psychiatry and establishing various comparisons with the depressive state. We will see that though the two processes result in darkness and suffering and have external symptoms in common, they are internally very different, especially in their meaning, evolution and impact on the lives of those who experience them.
