Purpose. A conceptual proposal model based on the Logical Framework Model and the Theory of Change for the social impact strategic planning of innovation in the Public Research Centers (CPIs) of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT), Mexico. Methodology. The study implied the context of the CPIs, with a bibliometric study of the Logical Framework and the Theory of Change in the second semester of 2022. Findings. As a theoretical contribution (Scientia), a conceptual proposal model, based on the Logical Framework Model and Theory of Change for the social impact strategic planning of innovation in the CPIs. As a practical contribution (Praxis), the conceptual proposal model relationship with the processes of a CPI that requiring clarity and speed for a highly changing environment. Originality. The research is valuable, original, and unprecedented for combining the Theoretical Framework and the Theory of Change that produce a social impact in a CPI. Conclusions and limitations. • Logical Framework Model and Theory of Change are possible to be included in CPI processes to achieve the social impact strategic planning of innovation. • The limitations are the knowledge and documentary interpretation of the processes of a CPI in social impact strategic planning of innovation. • Future studies propose to carry out a practical intervention that allows the validation of the study. Purpose. The purpose was to demonstrate the intervention of a CPI, the CIAD AC, in the formation of Inclusive Businesses (NI) in the value chain of Mexican tomato for export in green house. Methodology. Through a transdisciplinary approach between: economics, food technology and psychology, a review of the NI concept was made, highlighting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). An overview of the value chain was exhibited. Three elements where the CPI intervened were exposed: Conformation of the National Tomato Product System (SPTN) and collective brand as the organizational axis of the stakeholders. Training in good post-harvest handling practices. Objective and subjective evaluation of well-being in day laborers. Findings. The companies of the analyzed value chain involve the base of the pyramid as part of the workforce. In addition, they have organizational flexibility to adapt their processes to the needs of the export market. Originality. It has a transdisciplinary approach to address NI and CSR from a value chain. Theoretical and practical contributions: Theoretically, it proposes three categories that connect the NI and CSR constructs: collective brand, training, and work stress fatigue. In practice, it proposes a business strategy based on a collective brand adapted to NI.Conclusions and limitations. It is desirable to reaffirm continuous training; influence the reduction of stress and fatigue; monitor and advertise these items. If this is not the case, there is a risk that the reputation of the collective brand will be dispersed and the inertia of the US winter demand for Mexican tomatoes will be wasted. Health promotion policies in several countries propose the practice of physical activity in their guidelines. Assessing the results of these interventions, while providing important decision support, can be challenging. For this study, a theory-drive-evaluation was used, analysis of the contribution. The intervention results chain, the theory of change (ToC), was explained to analyze the elements related to the sustainability of the results of a program called Academia da Cidade (PAC), from 2002 to 2016. For ToC validation, interviews with ten key informants were carried out, and four focus groups were held from June to August 2016. The ToC test was carried out by integrating the qualitative data produced, as well as by performing a literature review and the review of official and technical documents. Thematic content analysis was used. The results indicated that most of the assumptions were confirmed in the presence of other influencing factors (contextual and rival explanations). ToC testing revealed the plausibility and validity of the program's theory, allowing us to conclude that the sustainability of PAC structuring factors contributed to the maintenance of the expected outcomes, despite the instability that occurred from 2012 to 2016.
