This paper analyzes the European regulation to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy. In particular, the provisional regulation, and the public decision-making process that regulates the Directive (UE) 2023/2413 for territorial planning and authorization of renewable projects. The increased climate ambition for 2030, and the fundamental role that renewable energy plays in achieving climate objetives, led to the immediate approval of provisional regulations to accelerate the deployment of renewable projects and, later, to a European directive that, not provisionally, regulates the planning of its locations and new procedures for its authorizations. This is not a simple or problem-free task in its application. Issues range from the necessary protection of environmental values to social conflict in the installation of large renewable energy projects, mainly wind and photovoltaic solar energy. In addition to the complexity of the concurrence of energy, environmental and territorial powers. Decree law 5/2024 amends Law 6/2022 on climate change and energy transition in the Canary Islands to streamline the processing of renewable energy and climate adaptation projects. Administrative efficiency measures are introduced and renewable energy penetration targets are established in the Canary Islands. Changes are made to the regulation of the electricity sector and land use to promote energy transition. Photovoltaic solar energy is one of the renewable energy options that allows us to reduce the effects of climate change. Furthermore, it is an inexhaustible source available on the planet that contributes to sustainable development. This research adopts both a qualitative and quantitative approach, with global irradiance data having been collected during the years 2012-2021, obtaining an average of 4.19788030 W/m² along with peak solar hours, which resulted in variations in the results. Subsequently, the number of photovoltaic solar panels, the inverter, the batteries and the controller required were calculated. The scheme of a photovoltaic module for a water pumping system for crops was also designed, using the Wondershare EdrawMax software. Royal Decree 962/2024 regulates the production of electrical energy from renewable sources in marine installations. A competitive bidding procedure is established to authorize these installations, prioritizing offshore wind energy. This commentary presents the aspects considered most relevant on the novelties introduced by the legislative amendment of the European Union Directive 2018/2001 on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources. The European Union raises its targets for all Member States to meet by 2030 for a 55% reduction of greenhouse gases to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. To do so, a procedural simplification in the granting of administrative authorizations has been proposed, where the implementation of renewable acceleration zones with permit-granting procedures and the implementation of the overriding public interest stand out, as well as various modifications in the field of transport, buildings and industry. The overcrowding of cities has led to the depopulation of rural areas, which has made them a testing ground for the location, in many cases without measure, of renewable energy installations. Something that should have a positive character, runs the risk of ending up irreparably affecting the areas where they are located, which is also unacceptable. Hydrogen as an energy vector can provide energy in applications from low to large scale and contributes to the promotion of renewable energies as low-carbon emission alternatives. This paper presents a literature review on hybrid green hydrogen systems. It was found that 23% of the articles review different methodologies and comparisons of hydrogen technologies, 15% present technical, economic and environmental analyses of hydrogen-based systems and projects. Fifty-three percent of the reviewed articles focus on artificial intelligence methodologies and use of commercial software for sizing, energy management and optimization of these models on hybrid renewable energy systems with a high focus on off-grid systems. The potential for simulation models to be developed on this topic is quite large because of the decarbonization brought by hydrogen. The models should consider additional aspects of the entire hydrogen value chain to have a complete vision of its development in Colombia, taking into account the development opportunities in the framework of different energy scenarios. In this article, the procedure to obtain the mathematical model for a 2 KW DBI (Dual Buck Inverter) converter, which can be used in renewable energy applications, is described. In the same way, the operation modes of this inverter are described with the respective equations that model its behavior for each one of them and, with the activation signals of the MOSFETs present in the inverter, the switched model is created. The linearization procedure of the model at one operating point is shown, simulation results are recorded in Matlab®/Simulink™ using PID controller, making changes in both load and input DC voltage levels for the proposed model and for the inverter circuit, thus making use of discrete elements. In this work, the implementation of solar panels in the Villa Clara Dairy Products Company, UEB Sagua la Grande, is evaluated. Measurements of the structures were made and optimal orientations were chosen to improve performance. The free software of the European commission PVGIS was used to facilitate the study of the solar resource and photovoltaic potential. It is a very useful tool for carrying out feasibility studies of photovoltaic systems. With the performance analysis, an annual generation of 648.5 MWh is forecast. This approach is not only energy efficient, but environmentally significant, as it will avoid the emission of 9,453 tons of CO2, 53 tons of SO2 and 18 tons of NO2 into the atmosphere. In addition, it is highlighted that the project will contribute to saving the country 2,882 tons of fuel. These results underline the importance and potential of renewable energy, not only to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, but also to mitigate climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Introduction: The fish processing industry generates large volumes of wastewater, which are generally treated in lagoons, generating bad odors and emitting polluting gases into the atmosphere. According to their organic matter content, these can be treated in anaerobic reactors with a microalgae coupling for the bioremediation of the effluent, due to their high N, P and CO2 removal capacity. Objective: To determine the potential of fish processing wastewater from the fishing industry in Sancti Spíritus for biogas and microalgae production. Materials and Methods: The physicochemical characteristics of the wastewater are taken as a starting point and mass balances are performed using indexes from the literature to determine the volumes of biogas and the amount of biomass harvested from the microalgae Chlorella vulgaris. Results and Discussion: The analyzed waters represent a potential for obtaining biogas and for the development of microalgae cultures as a promising alternative to improve process performance, which allows obtaining energy and high value-added products. Conclusions: The wastewater from the Pescaspir fishing company produces 21.8 m³ of biogas per day and 0.58 kg/d of dry microalgal biomass, so the proposed treatment system allows the generation of renewable energy, the production of biomass, obtaining a purified effluent and reducing the environmental impact on natural aquatic systems, in addition to other possible technological applications. The best technological alternative known so far to reduce emissions into the atmosphere of the largest greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide, in the short and medium term, is the capture, utilization and geological storage of CO2 (CCUS). This aspect allows the continued use of fossil fuels while moving towards the massive and comprehensive development of renewable energies. Achieving a significant reduction in CO2 emissions requires knowledge of the available CO2 storage capacity. This research shows a methodology for calculating the geological storage capacity in the part of the porous volume previously occupied by hydrocarbons can be occupied by an equivalent volume of CO2 at reservoir pressure and temperature conditions. The proposed calculation methodology (UCCGCO2) has an estimation efficiency between 90 and 98% was determined to the values obtained currently available methodologies, and its use is simpler than these. Based on China's multilevel engagement strategy in Latin America and the Caribbean, this paper seeks to investigate Argentina's subnational strategies towards the Asian giant in terms of energy transition in two areas: the production of renewable energies and the production of lithium as a storage medium. The perspectives of asymmetric interdependence and structuralism are used to explain the pattern of links between the two countries; and studies of paradiplomacy are used to understand the international actions of Argentina's provinces. The analysis focuses on energy initiatives between 2014 and 2023, using a qualitative methodology with case studies. The initial argument maintains that the development of clean energy is a complementary interest between the Argentine provinces and China, as the Asian country builds its leadership in the field of energy transition, and the provinces diversify their local production matrices. The implementation of Renewable Energy Sources is becoming more and more pertinent in all areas and sectors of society but, fundamentally, in rural communities that are far from the national electrical system, due to the complexity of the lives of those people who lack energy electrical. This precise reality, not only from research carried out by technical sciences but also from a social approach that allows knowing the particularities of each of these systems and their inhabitants. This research is aimed at carrying out a study of the social environment that surrounds rural contexts and the application of micro grids in these to promote local development and eradicate sociocultural and political problems caused by the lack of access to a quality electric service and reliability. As well as, proposing a participatory methodology with social considerations for the design of electric micro grids under the realities of rural populations in Cuba and obtaining an integrating result that meets the expectations and needs of its beneficiaries and is sustainable over time. The high penetration of distributed renewable resources requires integration strategies that ensure a balance between supply and demand. Transactive energy (TE) comprises a set of mechanisms capable of achieving this objective by using value as an operational parameter. This paper presents a review of the state of the art in TE, aiming to provide the reader with a general overview of concepts and applications. To accomplish this, the document offers a review of market and operational structures, with a particular focus on the role of TE in the composition of local energy markets. This paper takes stock of the application of the Valencian photovoltaic regulations relating to the setting-up of photovoltaic plants on nondevelopable land, as well as that relating to the plants under state jurisdiction in Valencian territory, showing the difficulties of their implementation, including the adoption of numerous agreements to suspend the granting of municipal licenses, due, in the author's opinion, to the haste with which the transition process has been developed and the consequent choice of many conflictive sites. The aim of this work is the design of a current control by means of state feedback, based on linear matrix inequalities (LMI), and it is applied in a DC-DC coupled inductors Buck-Boost modular converter, which has been widely used in distributed generation systems with renewable energy sources. This method considers constraints on the location of poles defined in the complex plane called d-stability. The closed-loop control system is implemented in Matlab® Simulink and validated under different test scenarios, where better dynamic performance is obtained, its operating range is extended, with shorter settling times and a better time-response, in contrast with the classical PI control technique. The article discusses the preparation of gas pipelines in Colombia for the transportation of natural gas and hydrogen blends. The article summarizes the Seminar "Water and Food Security" that took place at the University of Castilla-La Mancha on May 4, 2023. The seminar addressed the relationship between renewable energies, water, and food, and was attended by students, researchers, and professionals in law, as well as irrigation communities, agri-food cooperatives, river basin authorities, and agronomical engineers. During the event, presentations were given on water policies, needs and problems of agri-food cooperatives, and proposals to improve water policies in the agricultural sector. Dr. Alberto Garrido Colmenero, Professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, gave a presentation on the challenges and opportunities of irrigation in Spain. On the other hand, Dr. Francisco Bombillar Sáenz spoke about the connection between sustainable food and food legislation, highlighting the importance of organic food production and consumption. Additionally, water security and the importance of renewable energies to guarantee it are discussed, despite possible environmental and social conflicts that may arise. The Cuban Electric Corporation requires a change in the organizational paradigm to achieve a high penetration of renewable energy sources, based on the change of the energy paradigm in the country, in order to face 2030 Agenda. In this work, a study was carried out on the opportunity that exists in Cuba to use deep sea water as a renewable alternative for air conditioning. It identified the main coastal areas where the required depth could be accessed at a rational distance from the shore and the possible users with the greatest potential for this type of technology. Royal Decree 662/2024 establishes the regime for the installation of floating photovoltaic plants in reservoirs under the management of the General State Administration. The aim is to promote renewable energies and adapt existing regulations to regulate these installations. In 2021, the Canadian federal government under Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau committed to Canada's beginning to gradually reduce its pollutant emissions until reaching zero in 2050. This means that the country's ten provinces and three territories must autonomously adjust their strategies to achieve the goal in a common exercise established by the central government. In the particular case of the Atlantic province of Nova Scotia, the federal mandate is an enormous challenge because its infrastructure, developed since the seventeenth century, has operated to a great extent around the generation of fossil fuel. This article points out the cultural and corporate obstacles, the potentials for alternative energy, and the political strategies that provincial leaders have had to develop to find the most appropriate way to include Nova Scotia in the dynamic that all the other regions have already undertaken. The proliferation of renewable energy sources and their impact on power systems makes it necessary to conduct studies to ensure the proper operation of the power system. This paper investigates recent research on the impact of renewable energy sources on voltage stability and new methods used to assess this stability. The effects of solar and wind power generation both individually and collectively are studied, along with other inverter models through which renewable energy sources are connected to transmission systems or distribution networks.
