The proliferation of renewable energy sources and their impact on power systems makes it necessary to conduct studies to ensure the proper operation of the power system. This paper investigates recent research on the impact of renewable energy sources on voltage stability and new methods used to assess this stability. The effects of solar and wind power generation both individually and collectively are studied, along with other inverter models through which renewable energy sources are connected to transmission systems or distribution networks.
