El proceso de mejora de enseñanza-aprendizaje en el contexto universitario ha generado la aplicación de nuevas o mejoradas técnicas docentes, las cuales fomenten una participación activa del alumno y una mayor interacción con el profesor. El objetivo de este trabajo ha sido analizar el grado de satisfacción del alumnado universitario con una de las innovaciones docentes más populares, sobre todo, por su bajo coste y sencillez, que es el one minute paper, la cual registró una alta tasa de participación en el contexto analizado. En particular, esta experiencia docente se hizo en una asignatura de contabilidad en el Grado de Administración y Dirección de Empresas de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela.

En aquesta investigació es presenta el Projecte d'Innovació Docent ComunicArte16 dut a terme en el curs 2015-2016 en l'assignatura Estructura Econòmica del Sector de la Comunicació del grau en Comunicació i Relacions Públiques d'ESIC Business & Marketing School, on van participar 21 alumnes. ComunicArte16 té com a objectiu incrementar la participació de l'alumnat a través de la proposta i disseny de les seues pròpies accions docents a realitzar a l'aula. A partir de les 14 accions proposades, es va sol·licitar a cinc docents especialistes en la matèria que revelaren les seues preferències d'acord amb els objectius del currículum de l'assignatura. Aquest procés s'ha articulat sobre quatre eixos: analitzar, connectar, experimentar i crear (ACEC), seguint com a referència el Model d'Estils d'Aprenentatge de Felder-Silverman (FSLSM). Per a la selecció d'accions docents de ComunicArte16 es va seguir el Procés Analític Jeràrquic (AHP) que, a través de la comparació aparellada d'alternatives de tipus autoexcloents, va brindar una prelació ponderada i va donar lloc a la selecció efectiva de 4 accions, una per a cada eix. L'anàlisi dels resultats avala una alta acceptació de ComunicArte16 entre l'alumnat, incrementant la participació activa a l'aula i millorant el seu compromís a través d'una major taxa d'assistència a classe.

En aquest treball si presenten els resultats de les enquestes realitzades als estudiants a la Universitat de Duke (EUA) pel que fa a l’ ús de la traducció automàtica (TA) en els cursos de llengües estrangeres, així com les percepcions de la TA entre els instructors. En primer lloc, es presenta una visió general de l'estat de la TA en els mitjans de comunicació nacionals i també al món acadèmicc. Ademés, els invetigadors ofereixen una explicació del seu interés en la temática. En segon lloc, es presenten els resultats de les enquestes realitzades entre els anys 2011 i 2012 als estudiants i instructors, investigant els patrons d’us a l'aprenentatge d'idiomes i les percepcions sobre la utilitat de la TA. Les nostres troballes evidencien una gran discrepància entre professors i estudiants pel que fa a la utilitat de la TA en l'aprenentatge de segones llengües.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a multifaceted crisis, impacting health, the economy, policy and society at large, and also resulting in a humanitarian crisis. These crises have impacted everyone, although the effects have been unevenly distributed, leading to further disadvantage and marginalisation for those who were already vulnerable and marginalised. The pandemic laid bare and intensified pre-existing gender inequalities in many aspects of life, from the labor market and educational opportunities to health and social protection systems. The unequal impacts on women and men have been observed in the economy and employment, in domestic work and care, in physical and mental health, and in violence. The collection of articles in this special issue critically interrogates these key issues relating to the impact of the pandemic on gender equality in Europe, highlighting exacerbated gender inequalities, policy responses and the potential for a gender-responsive recovery. This special issue brings together a collection of eight articles that investigate various aspects of gender inequality exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, and that explore potential pathways towards achieving greater gender equality in the post-pandemic world. They summarise the findings and contributions of several social scientists and also of two EU funded projects: RESISTIRÉ (GA 101015990) and GEARING Roles (GA 824536). The articles are structured around five main themes: labor market disparities, education and skill development, social and political responses, post-pandemic opportunities, and care. Each article contributes unique insights, empirical findings and policy recommendations from a feminist perspective to enrich the ongoing discourse on gender equality. Together, the articles show the necessity of feminist analysis of crisis, and reveal the structural roots of inequalities while simultaneously emphasising the necessity for transformative action to address inequalities.

This article is the result of a research process within the Resistiré project, which evaluates the responses to the COVID crisis in social policy processes in several European countries. This study has taken into account the experience of girls and adolescents in situations of neglect in the circumstances that have surrounded their educational processes and their academic reality in the COVID period. Situations of neglect in childhood are those that affect the normal personal, social and material development of minors, generating situations of high vulnerability that imply the need to activate alternative protection measures that guarantee the subjective right of every child and adolescent. Thought should be given to the special relevance that the health crisis has had on the reality of these girls and adolescents whose legal guardians —affected by particular life situations— have been able to suffer in an aggravated manner in the face of a reality that previously constituted a highly vulnerable situation. The article focuses on the reality of girls and adolescents in the Basque Country (Spain). For this purpose, and through the access to their narratives, the particularity of their vital conditions is identified, showing their high resilient capacity, as well as the difficulties, alternatives and capacities developed to face adversity.

English-medium instruction (EMI) affects lecturers’ classroom practices as they face a new teaching scenario where language(s) can be used to construct lecturers’ identities. Therefore, lecturers can take up different identities because their language-choice acts depend on their communicative and identification purposes. Employing Membership-Categorisation Analysis (MCA) to examine classroom interaction, this paper examines the classroom practices of one EMI lecturer to explore how the orientation towards one language over the others implies a specific function associated with a particular identity. The alternation between languages reveals to what extent EMI lecturers accept or challenge the English-only policy and how lecturers position themselves as English-only or as translanguaging lecturers. This study documents lecturer’s teaching behaviour, particularly how L1-choice acts can be more effective for certain purposes. Studying how lecturers draw from both their EMI-lecturer identity and their L1-lecturer identity, this paper shows how multilingual practices unfold in EMI and highlights the pedagogical value of the L1, hence advocating that the use of languages other than English has, after all, a particular purpose.

En aquest article analitzem la política lingüística en dos països que compten amb diverses llengües oficials, Suïssa i Sud-àfrica, i en els quals el paper de la llengua anglesa ha evolucionat respecte a les llengües "nacionals" locals des de la dècada de 1990. Ens centrem en la política lingüística com a manifestació de les lluites socials i, fent especial èmfasi en l’anglès, estudiem els documents polítics actuals en aquests dos contextos tan diferents. L’ús de la “neutralitat” com a lent analítica ens permet demostrar que la política lingüística va més enllà dels plans d’estudi i de la inclusió o exclusió de les llengües i, al seu lloc, neutralitza les idees socials que estan en consonància amb la concepció d’un futur “d’èxit” en una conjuntura sociohistòrica determinada. Per acabar, reflexionem sobre la neutralitat com a component de les ideologies lingüístiques, en virtut de les quals s’autoritzen llengües específiques per a objectius polítics contingents i canviants, cosa que té conseqüències com ara la inclusió en la política educativa o l’exclusió de la política educativa de determinades llengües i la distribució desigual del coneixement, els recursos i l’autoritat.

The present paper aims at promoting pedagogical reflection by providing the theoretical foundations on the connections between foreign language learning (FLL) and music, which shapes a CLIL Music program named MOVIC (Movement & Music in English). It also encourages the implementation CLIL Music approaches in EFL classrooms. The paper focuses on the benefits that music brings to the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom, as well as it contextualizes the current situation in the Spanish education system and the pedagogical possibilities that the use of music encompasses. This paper focuses on the topic of sustainable consumption in order to support teacher trainers and future primary teachers in planning and integrating Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) competencies within their classes. After considering different conceptual frameworks and studies pertinent to language learning teachers, the paper shows how one project carried out between an English class in a university Education department and a local primary school in Barcelona worked together to this end. As a form of action research, the project presented here emerged from an exploration of how language teachers in Higher Education contexts might focus on thecontent in terms of what is taught and how it is taught with respect to teaching and learning approaches and resources as sustainability issues. This study describes how an English language learning project for pre-service teachers combined three aspects (approach, product and content) while focusing on sustainable consumption as part of an action-orientated, transformative pedagogy. This was in order to develop ESD competencies for both trainee teachers of primary educationand children of primary education as well as supporting self-directed and skills for life-long learning.

This article presents CLIL teachers with a principled approach to integrating the teaching of content with that of the language of their discipline. First the paper focuses on raising awareness of language, and of the difficulties students experience when reading the abstract language of a subject, by using an example from a CLIL history text from an early secondary class in a school in Spain. It then presents a genre-based programme for working on literacy across the curriculum, Reading to Learn, and describes the different steps a teacher may take to integrate reading and writing into the class activities. The first stage of the programme is illustrated by a CLIL science teacher’s introduction of a text to her class, and the final stage, by a text written by a student in the class, showing the result of the teacher’s work. In the student text, a science report, we see not only the learning of content but also of the language of the subject. The paper closes with a discussion of the Reading to Learn pedagogy from the perspective of teachers who attended seminars on the method given by the European Comenius project TeL4ELE, and implemented it with their students.

This article is about the evaluation of educational policies for non-sexist education in Catalonia from the Spanish democratic transition on. It starts by analysing the legal framework of education, both in Spain and Catalonia. Many different laws have been approved during these years. After this first part, we analyse the action of the Conselleria d’Educació, the education authority in Catalonia. What did this institution do about non-sexist education? The most important action was an Educational Innovation Programme from 2005 to 2010, and then during the last three years. We also mention a few actions from other institutions or schools. However, we must conclude that no institutional policy has consistently been developed. Finally, we provide some notes about non-sexist research in schools, teachers’ training, and books and papers about what is referred to as “coeducation” in Spain. A big change has to be made in the years ahead in order to achieve a non-sexist education in Catalonia.

Objectiu: analitzar i caracteritzar els principis ètics relatius als conflictes d'autoria que recullen en les seves normes les revistes d'educació incloses en el Journal Citation Reports (JCR). -- Metodologia: anàlisi de contingut de les indicacions ètiques, les normes d'enviament, les guies per a autors i les normes per a revisors de les revistes que formen part de la categoria d'educació i recerca en l'educació del JCR. Es va analitzar la presència de les categories següents: criteris d'inclusió i exclusió, ordre i nombre màxim d'autors, paper de l'autor de correspondència, canvis en l'autoria i conflictes entre estudiants i supervisors. Es van categoritzar els resultats segons l'editorial, l'àrea geogràfica de publicació i el quartil del JCR. -- Resultats: una mica més de la meitat de les revistes analitzades inclouen principis ètics relacionats amb l'autoria en les seves normes. Els més presents són els que fan referència als criteris d'inclusió, seguits dels referents a l'ordre dels autors i el paper de l'autor de correspondència. L'àrea geogràfica de publicació constitueix un factor determinant a l'hora de prestar més o menys atenció a aquestes qüestions, al contrari del que passa amb el factor d'impacte, que no genera diferències significatives. Objective: The article analyses and characterizes the ethical principles that underpin publication rules about authorship disputes in the education journals listed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR). -- Methodology: The article analyses the content of the ethical principles, submission conditions and author and reviewer guidelines required by the journals listed in the JCR subject category “Education and Educational Research”. It analyses the presence of the following categories: inclusion and exclusion criteria, author order and maximum number of authors, corresponding author’s role, changes to authorship and conflicts of interest between students and their supervisors or mentors. The results are classified according to publisher, geographical region and JCR quartile. -- Results: A little over half of the journals analysed include authorship-related ethical principles in their publication rules. Most commonly, these principles relate to inclusion criteria, followed by author order and corresponding author’s role. Geographical region plays a decisive role in determining how far these principles are applied, while impact factor does not.

This paper aims to study how issues related to the European Economic Community/European Union (EEC/EU) are presented in Portuguese 9th-grade History textbooks. The methodological approach is mainly qualitative, based on a content analysis of ten textbooks, but some quantitative data was also considered in order to determine the importance given to the EEC/EU construction process and Portugal’s integration into it. It can be concluded that although the history textbooks contain some information about the political construction process, the institutions of the EEC/EU and its economic and social policies, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of Portugal’s integration into the EU, the information is mainly presented from a linear perspective and does not prioritise the development of students’ critical thinking. This study also points to a predominance of content related to national citizenship, the concept of European citizenship being presented in a brief and normative way. Our intention, in the near future, is to expand on this study, with a comparative study between Portugal and Spain, thus encompassing the Stone raft.

Several laws and plans contemplate the incorporation of a gender perspective in education in Catalonia. This article analyzes how the relevant policy mandates are transferred, recontextualized and implemented in Catalan secondary schools. Drawing on 15 focus groups with representatives of teachers, students, management teams and families (N=103) from 12 secondary schools in the region, the paper explores the multiple forms of enactment that take place according to the particularities of each of the contexts. Using the analytical framework established by Braun et al. (2011), the results show how the material, the situational, the external, and particularly, the professional context shape the enactment of gender policies in Catalan education. Likewise, the article highlights how actors at the school level develop gender-sensitive practices based on their values and beliefs. Finally, we discuss how, far from a top-down approach, there is also policymaking at the lowest level of the educational system: the school.

In this autobiographic work, Raymond Boudon reviews his trajectory from his beginning as a student at the École Normale Supérieure to the last stages of his career. Boudon describes his main intellectual influences and concerns throughout his life and how they were displayed in his works.

In this paper, we present a cross-disciplinary collaboration model inspired by collaborative action research (CAR) developed at a computer science department at a University of Applied Sciences in Austria. We outline the roles which language teachers at the institution and external collaborators (teacher educators and language specialists) play in creating a space of trust for the professional development of content specialists. Recent research (e.g. Zappa-Hollman, 2018) has called for such collaborative partnerships between language and content specialists to raise awareness among English Medium Instruction (EMI) practitioners and stakeholders that language is “the crucial semiotic resource to [...] facilitate conceptualization and problem solving in specific disciplines” (Yuan, 2021, p. 2). This demand for an integrative approach which takes the interplay of language and content into consideration has not yet received sufficient attention, neither at the institutional level nor at the level of individual teachers (Zappa-Hollman, 2018). Innovative approaches are clearly needed to improve the quality of ICLHE teaching (Kim et al., 2018). The generally positive reactions of the content teachers to the Trust Model of Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration suggest that it can contribute to improving their understanding of the epistemic function of language and their Integrating Content and language in Higher Education (ICLHE) teaching practice.

This article offers an overview of the main language education policies aimed at addressing the needs of immigrant background students currently implemented in Spain’s multilingual schools. In particular, the article examines the politics of segregation of language immersion programs for newcomers in the Spanish State, as well as their relationship with other language learning programs implemented as part of European initiatives to promote the use of Global English. This study is based on long-term ethnographic research conducted in different schools in Madrid. Adopting a comparative perspective, we also discuss different language programs in U.S. public schools: e.g., English as a Second Language (ESL) programs, bilingual education initiatives, Transitional and Dual Immersion programs. We examine how different educational policies for English language learners in the U.S. might be able to inform Spanish language education policies, forcing us to rethink the current school integration of immigrant origin students in Spain. We conclude with a critical discussion of the lessons we can draw from both cases. Key words: multilingualism; language policy; immigration; education; ethnography; United States of America; Spain.

L'estudiant universitari juga avui un paper actiu no només com a client, sinó com a co-creador de valor. Amb una tècnica d'investigació qualitativa com l'autoreflexió personal, es pot aconseguir la seva participació i co-creació mitjançant una introspecció subjectiva. Aquest treball explora el valor percebut de l'experiència universitària a través de 30 introspeccions reflexiva d'estudiants de màster internacionals amb el suport d'un CAQDAS. Els resultats, explicats en relació amb els beneficis i costos, i amb les dimensions de valor percebut de l'experiència (funcional, emocional i social), mostren la utilitat de la introspecció per a la comprensió de l'experiència universitària intercultural i multidimensional.

This paper is a qualitative study in the framework of a broader project (LETEGR2) that aims to shed light on the way classroom-based observation might contribute to bridging the gap between teaching theory and practice and assisting teacher education. It draws on data derived from pre-service (n=15) and in-service teachers (n=6) who applied the LETEGR2 Classroom Observation protocol in second language classrooms in Greece. Both groups of data are presented according to the observation stages (pre- and post-) in which they have been collected. They are discussed as pre- and in-service teachers’ “voices” in terms of the main issues they bring to the fore in relation to L2 learners’ profiles, the teaching process and teachers’ practices. An attempt is made to link both group of participants’ observed behaviours and events to underlying theoretical concepts for second language learning and teaching.

“Having two teachers leading a classroom opens up many opportunities for students as well as for teachers” (Trites, 2017). At the same time, the class becomes a safe, inclusive and equitable learning environment. According to Walsh (2006), Classroom Interactional Competence (CIC) “refers to those features of conversations between the teacher and the students (and among students) which produce high quality interaction and create ‘space for learning’ of the L2” (p. 19). This allows teachers to make conversational adjustments in order to ensure understanding, achieve participation and help learners’ extend and improve their utterances. This paper deals with the outcomes of an experience carried out by four teachers who wanted to analyse if co-teaching (in two different modalities) and the use of CIC strategies provided students with more opportunities to produce good quality output in L2.

It is well known that proficiency in more languages is important for labor outcomes of natives, and economic literature generally shows positive effects for those able to use multiple languages in the domestic labor market. In this context, compulsory education is likely to play a relevant role in identifying to what extent additional languages matter for the native workforce. Indeed, institutional education systems are often the main providers of individual skills in a country, including language skills, and compulsory education is reasonably unrelated to individual characteristics affecting choices of language acquisition. However, while some studies on co-official languages and labor in multilingual countries build their strategy on compulsory schooling, it seems that no study on indigenous workers considers it for foreign languages. As a first step of future analyses on foreign languages and labor in Europe, in this paper I try to analyze whether compulsory education affects foreign language proficiency of European native adults. I find that being taught foreign languages during compulsory schooling has positive effects on the probability of knowing them, ranging from 3 to 5 percent.

This paper intends to exemplify how a design-based research (DBR) methodology can be used to put theory into practice by reporting on a first research cycle of a larger DBR project in the context of upper secondary CLIL history education in Austria. The project aims to identify design principles of teaching techniques and materials which both support the acquisition of subject-specific competences and language. To this end, this study draws on Dalton-Puffer’s (2013) construct of Cognitive Discourse Functions (CDFs), comprising seven key categories of academic language functions which have also been shown to be closely linked to historical competences. In the course of this study, the researcher and a collaborating teacher systematically developed CDF-based history materials, which were then applied in the classroom and continuously evaluated, using interviews, observations, and written tasks for data collection.Results of the first research cycle suggest that students lack awareness of possible connections between content and language learning and struggle with expressing complex historical content. Both teacher and students responded positively to the intervention on a general level, but pointed out a number of potential refinements, such as a more continuous and balanced intertwining of content and language.

This paper shows the results of an experiment consisting of a sequence of didactic activities carried out with students of first grade of Musical Language of Professional Conservatory Education through the artistic picture as main tool for the historical and musical contextualization and to support musical audition and interpretation. On this occasion, the central panel of the altarpiece of the Coronation of the Virgin from the parochial church of Retascón (Zaragoza), made in the first third of the fifteen century by the Master of Retascón, which includes singing angels with music sheet rolls / music scrolls, is the medium through which the different learning activities are going to be developed. In addition, an unpublished iconographic-musical description of the selected work is provided. With the aim of reaching some specific learning objects related to Medieval and modal music, apart from the particular methodologies of artistic and musical education, the quantitative method is used. Its results confirm the usefulness of the artistic picture in Musical Language learning.

This paper is a descriptive research on the analysis of three public one-track schools, located in Alicante (Spain). The fieldwork for this research took an average of two months at each school. During this time, the general characteristics of each of the three schools, -their buildings, their classrooms, and their common areas- were studied in relation to their educational guidelines. Taken into consideration were the school’s aesthetic aspects such as: green spaces; lighting; colours; flexible learning spaces; the acoustical environment; smells; visuals; tidiness; and hygiene. The collaboration of the teachers and students allowed their profiles and their interpersonal relationships to be observed. Additionally, the pedagogic use of the classroom walls and the images displayed on them were also analysed. Finally, based upon each school’s characteristics, proposals to improve the connection between pedagogy and the school environment were recommended.

During the years 1983-1986 María de Ávila played the work of director of the National Ballet of Spain, a period which can be considered special and characteristic, being the only time in its history in which one person exercised that position while did in Classic National Ballet. The aim of this paper is to examine this period using various documentary sources (texts and commemorative compilations, programs, dissertations, journals performing arts and media) to proceed after your analysis and provide a rationale for the documentation compiled following a historical-temporal qualitative approach that allows better understand not only the legacy of María de Ávila, but its influence on the evolution and history of the BNE.

The use of technology is presented as an ally towards interdisciplinarity between the different areas of knowledge. This paper presents an innovative proposal recently held aimed at students of secondary stage linking the fields of music, visual and artistic expression, art history and new technologies. To do this, and from the area of music education and the area of visual and plastic education using free software (Storyboardthat, Musescore, Audiotool, Audacity, Gimp, Scribus, Moviemaker, iMovie, Wondershare, VirtualDub and Wax) for proposed, through the creation and editing of sound and image, make an audio-visual product that aims to assimilate concepts related to the historical evolution of art and the main characteristics of the various artistic stages in which the image and sound is concerned

This paper provides a presentation to Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) aimed at any reader who needs a basic understanding of this approach, be they teachers, teacher educators or education stakeholders in general. The article contextualises CLIL within the European Union (EU) policy intended to promote effective plurilingualism for all, offers a rationale for CLIL and warns policy makers and practitioners of certain practices commonly observed in CLIL settings that may undermine its effectiveness.

This paper illustrates the use of model texts as a written corrective feedback technique with young foreign language learners. The procedure used by the teacher to focus the learners’ attention on grammatical, lexical and textual differences between a model story and a draft version written by the children is described, and implications are suggested for the role of feedback processing in promoting L2 learning.

La majoria dels treballs els va fer un sol autor ocasional que únicament ha publicat un article, a més, s'observa una presència femenina més gran. La majoria dels articles es van escriure en anglès, amb una temàtica centrada en la didàctica de la música. Els treballs van ser poc o gens citats, depenent de l'antiguitat i del nombre d'autors, i es van publicar preferentment en revistes amb un índex d'impacte baix, la qual cosa mostra la poca repercussió dels treballs en comparació dels d'altres àrees de coneixement. Es planteja la necessitat de donar més atenció a la bibliometria de l'àrea com a línia de millora de la producció científica d'aquesta matèria. Objective: This paper analyses scientific production in music education during the period 2006–2017 in JCR journals. -- Methodology: The researchers conducted a bibliometric analysis of all of the articles indexed in JCR with the descriptor Music Education. -- Results: The 447 articles analysed reveal that there has been a considerable increase in production and that this has occurred annually, although it lags behind production in other areas. Most of the studies were conducted by single, occasional authors who had only published one article, and there was a greater presence of women authors. Most of the articles were written in English and addressed music didactics. The articles were rarely or never cited, depending on their age and the number of authors. They were mostly published in journals with a low impact factor, which shows the negligible repercussion of the articles in comparison with other areas of knowledge. The authors consider that there is a need for greater attention to the bibliometrics of production in this area, if it is to be improved.

Es planteja la necessitat de donar més atenció a la bibliometria de l'àrea com a línia de millora de la producció científica d'aquesta matèria. Objective: This paper analyses scientific production in music education during the period 2006–2017 in JCR journals. -- Methodology: The researchers conducted a bibliometric analysis of all of the articles indexed in JCR with the descriptor Music Education. -- Results: The 447 articles analysed reveal that there has been a considerable increase in production and that this has occurred annually, although it lags behind production in other areas. Most of the studies were conducted by single, occasional authors who had only published one article, and there was a greater presence of women authors. Most of the articles were written in English and addressed music didactics. The articles were rarely or never cited, depending on their age and the number of authors. They were mostly published in journals with a low impact factor, which shows the negligible repercussion of the articles in comparison with other areas of knowledge. The authors consider that there is a need for greater attention to the bibliometrics of production in this area, if it is to be improved.

Una tendència predominant en el sistema universitari europeu és la d'atorgar un paper de major rellevància a l'estudiant. Les renovades estratègies docents i d'aprenentatge confereixen especial importància al procés avaluador, en què el tradicional esquema sumatiu va quedant relegat a favor d'una avaluació formativa i col·laborativa. En aquest article s'analitza una experiència d'avaluació entre iguals emmarcada en el Grau d'Estadística Interuniversitari de la Universitat de Barcelona i la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. S'exposa una estratègia anomenada doble correcció, que es porta a terme en dues fases. A la primera, els estudiants, a través de rúbriques elaborades pel docent, avaluen els seus companys, detectant possibles debilitats en l'aprenentatge, i retornant un feedback que permet millorar els treballs abans que el professor els assigni una qualificació. Com a resultat es produeix un increment del rendiment acadèmic i un progrés en importants competències transversals.

La finalitat d’aquest treball és conèixer com viu l’alumnat d’últim curs d’universitat els processos d’avaluació experimentats al llarg de tota la seva carrera. L’estudi es duu a terme a la formació inicial del professorat, concretament al quart curs del grau de Mestre en Educació Infantil, amb una mostra de 86 estudiants. La metodologia utilitzada ha estat: entrevistes en profunditat, grups focals i entrevistes informals. Els resultats indiquen, d’una banda, que gran part de l’alumnat sembla no saber que està realitzant, sent una gran preocupació davant d’aquests processos, no entén perquè serveixen molts dels instruments d’avaluació que utilitza i sembla que no troba relacions entre aquests processos i les seves competències docents. De l’altra banda, valoren positivament aquests sistemes en relació al seu aprenentatge, el paper del professorat, l’organització del treball i el repartiment equilibrat de treball al llarg del quadrimestre.

This paper shows the results of the application of a project-based learning methodology that blended flipped classroom and face-to-face sessions, along with creativity and lateral thinking techniques, to integrate the expected concepts and procedures of technology innovation and boost entrepreneurship among students of Master’s degree in chemical engineering. The constructive alignment between the expected learning outcomes and skills with the proposed activities and assessment methods was decisive in the design of the methodology, which tractor activity was the creation of an innovation project. The use of techniques of creativity promoted lateral thinking and originality in the definition of projects. Active methodologies provoked team engagement and collaborative learning, enhanced participation and stimulated intrinsic motivation. The grades obtained by all groups in their projects, given by external evaluators, were relevant, thus pointing out the quality and impact of their proposals. There was a general satisfaction on students, with special emphasis of the transcendence at a professional level, thus showing the potential of this methodology to boost entrepreneurship in technology innovation.

A través de la descripció de dues experiències docents realitzades en el context de l'ensenyament d'espanyol com a llengua estrangera, es revisa el paper de la lectura extensiva i la seua aplicació pedagògica en el saló de classe. El primer projecte -lectura extensiva i individual- serveix de base per al segon, la ‘creació de llibres’, on l'alumne comença sent lector i acaba convertint-se en autor, implementant-se una dinàmica de lectura-escriptura-lectura. El present treball és descriptiu i presenta el marc teòric que recolza cada projecte, pautes per a la seua execució i opinió dels participants.

La incorporació del periodisme digital en els plans d'estudi de les Ciències de la Comunicació és lenta. En aquest article s'analitza el procés d'introducció d'aquest contingut a Colòmbia. Es porta a terme un estudi de cas sobre el ciberdiari De la Urbe Digital, experiència duta a terme a la Universitat d'Antioquia, a Medellín (Colòmbia), que va permetre als estudiants universitaris de Pregrau portar a la pràctica els continguts teòrics que estaven rebent. Tot i la tradició de periodisme en paper que preval en alguns entorns universitaris, el cas que analitzem reflecteix propostes metodològiques innovadores.

La utilització de programari lliure i obert (*FOSS) aporta nombrosos avantatges en l'àmbit universitari, que resulten encara més patents en el marc de l'Espai Europeu d'Educació Superior (EEES). Les principals característiques del *FOSS (llibertat d'ús de programes, accés al codi font, estudi i adaptació, distribució de còpies i implementació de millores que beneficien a tota la comunitat) apareixen relacionades amb competències com a creativitat, treball en equip o adaptació a noves situacions. Aquest treball examina el paper del programari lliure en l'àmbit universitari i el seu potencial per a reduir la bretxa digital, presentant també algunes experiències recents.

Les publicacions científiques s’estan veient afectades per les transformacions que s’han produit en l’última dècada a partir de la creació del EEES y EEI. Un dels objectius prioritaris de la Unió Europea és aconseguir una Europa del coneixement vertebrada per l’activitat universitària. En aquest context, les publicacions científiques juguen un paper destacat com exponent de la producció científica i mitjà autoritzat de difusió. No obstant, l’activitat científica europea mesurada mitjançant les publicacions especialitzades no arriba als nivells en què es troben els seus competidors més directes, Estats Units i Japó (principalment en biomedicina i ciències de les materials, respectivament).

La carpeta d’aprenentatge representa un punt de trobada dels grans temes que han ocupat la Didàctica d’ençà dels anys 90 del segle passat: el caràcter formatiu de l’avaluació, l’assumpte de les competències, la metacognició i el pensament crític de l’estudiant, el paper desenvolupat per les TIC, i la concepció d’un aprenentatge col.laboratiu i plantejat a llarg termini. En aquest article de revisió, hom estudia com aquests temes s’han concretat en la carpeta d’aprenentatge i n’han determinat la seva evolució.
