This paper studies the reality of ethical and bioethical issues in the scientific world through an integrative literature review of articles included in three databases. Seven terms from the thesaurus Health Sciences Descriptors were used, from which three combinations were elaborated and used in the three databases. After applying inclusion requirements, a total of 18 articles were selected. Certain misconducts, particularly plagiarism, falsification and data fabrication, have been showing an increasing behavior, which requires more stringent measures in order to control such phenomenon and maintain scientific credibility before society and authorities. The objective of the paper is to analyze the extent to which the decolonial perspective is reflected in the teaching and the research in the area of International Relations (IR) in Brazil. The first part is conceptual and discusses the meanings of Decoloniality and its interfaces with the area of IR. Then, the empirical analysis is presented. Documents, data and studies were used to analyze Brazilian undergraduate and graduate courses in this area. We found some initial advances with the inclusion of debates on Ethnic-Racial Relations in undergraduate courses, the constitution of research groups and the existence of some (few) doctoral theses on the subject. However, several significant challenges were found for Decoloniality to assert itself as a relevant axis in Brazilian IR studies. Among them, the small insertion of these contents on the (undergraduate) curriculum, the centrality of the state-centered theories, racism and institutional resistance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Interdisciplinarity in Communication Studies has drawn the attention of many researchers in the last decades. This paper outlines some epistemological and institutional possibilities of interdisciplinarity in Communication. Grounded on literature review, it suggests that Communication is often "multidisciplinary", but rarely "interdisciplinary", as disciplinary boundaries are seldom crossed. The argument goes threefold: (1) as a field of enquiry, disciplinary juxtaposition is not enough to characterize interdisciplinarity in Communication; (2) the area has been institutionally created by an agglutination of disciplines, not an intersection of them; (3) as an academic discipline, Communication Theory, which should provide the repertoire for the area, reflects these ambiguities of the field. - Abstract
This essay tries to rethink the work of those who research and educate in the university in a moment of great importance of this topic, which connects disciplinarity and interdisciplinarity. Before hasty and negative decisions are made in the development of research and didactic-pedagogical actions, this paper addresses the core of the debate, which is language, to seek some clarity of meaning and to show those attitudes that favor the best relation between the values that discipline and interdiscipline in the formulation of scientific work. The historical and linguistic reflection elucidates the existing interrelationships and seeks to demystify hypotheses, which are nonetheless intelligent. It leads to the overcoming of the proposal of paradigm replacement, a vicious circle that is not probable within the theme, and seeks to guarantee the frank cooperation between the scientific networks in the different areas or, at least, the coopetition between those who educate and research. OBJETIVO: Avaliar a contribuição cientifica de cirurgiões da coluna brasileiros não somente em número de publicações, mas também em relação à qualidade entre Janeiro de 2000 e Dezembro de 2011. MÉTODOS: Uma pesquisa das publicações de cirurgiões da coluna brasileiros em relação à coluna ou medula espinhal foi realizada utilizando uma base de dados online; Pubmed.gov. Os resultados foram limitados para artigos publicados entre Janeiro de 2000 e Dezembro de 2011. Um total de 1.778 artigos foram encontrados após a pesquisa no Medline. Após critérios de exclusão, 206 foram selecionados. A qualidade dos periódicos foi medida através do Fator de Impacto (FI), e do Qualis CAPES e a qualidade do artigo pela classificação de Oxford. RESULTADOS: Um aumento no número de publicações de cirurgiões da coluna brasileiros foi observado. 45,1% das publicações foram nos últimos 4 anos (2008 - 2011). Estudos clínicos e relatos de caso foram os tipos de artigos mais frequentemente publicados (37,5% vs 31,1%). Um aumento no número de publicações brasileiras em periódicos não-brasileiros foi observado nos últimos anos (linear-by-linear association: 5.449, P = 0.020). A publicação Arquivos de Neuro-psiquiatria foi o periódico em que os artigos foram mais frequentemente publicados (n=67, 32%). O FI das publicações variou de 0.021 a 8.017. A análise da qualidade das publicações demonstrou que a maioria delas forneceu NE 4 (N = 113, 54.9%) ou 5 (N = 45, 21,8%). CONCLUSÃO: Houve um aumento no número e na qualidade das publicações de cirurgiões da coluna brasileiros nos últimos anos. Hubo aumento en el número de publicaciones brasileñas en periódicos no brasileños en los últimos años (linear-by-linear association: 5,449, P = 0,020). Arquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria fue o periódico en que los artículos se publicaron con más frecuencia (n = 67, 32%). El factor de impacto de las publicaciones tuvo una variación de 0,021 a 8,017. El análisis de la calidad de las publicaciones demostró que la mayoría de ellas alcanzó nivel de evidencia 4 (N = 113, 54,9%) o 5 (N = 45, 21,8%). CONCLUSIONES: Hubo un aumento en el número y en la calidad de las publicaciones de cirujanos de columna brasileños en los últimos años. RESULTS: An increasing number of publications by Brazilian spine surgeons was observed. 45.1% of those papers were published during the last 4 years (2008 - 2011). Clinical studies and case reports were the most frequent types of article published (37.5% vs 31.1%). An increasing number of Brazilian publications in non-Brazilian journals has been observed in recent years (linear-by-linear association: 5.449, P = 0.020). The Arquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria was the most frequent journal in which the papers were published (n=67, 32%). The IF of the publications varied from 0.021 to 8.017. The analysis of quality of the articles using the Oxford classification demonstrated that most of them provided LOE 4 (N = 113, 54.9%) or 5 (N = 45, 21,8%). CONCLUSIONS: There has been an increasing in the number and quality of publications by Brazilian spine surgeons in recent years. Also, the number of publications by Brazilians in non-Brazilian journals has increased in recent years.

En este trabajo examinamos el destino de los resultados de la investigación cualitativa en el área de la salud. Lo hemos dividido en dos partes: en la primera identificamos tres enfoques empleados comúnmente para difundir y aplicar los resultados de la investigación en salud. Uno, cuyo objetivo es trasmitir los conocimientos a la academia; otro interesado en su transferencia y traducción para la elaboración y fortalecimiento de las políticas y los programas de salud y; el último orientado a la población. En la segunda parte exponemos una serie de reflexiones en torno a una propuesta relacional y dialógica de difusión y uso de la investigación cualitativa en salud, en el contexto específico de los países latinoamericanos.The aim of this paper is to examine the dissemination and use of qualitative health research. The paper is divided into two parts. In the first part, three common approaches are identified regarding the use and application of research results: one is interested in the dissemination of knowledge to academia; another looks at the knowledge transfer and translation to strengthen health policies and programs; and the last one is geared towards the population. The second part presents a relational and dialogic proposal for the transfer and use of qualitative research in the health area in the context of the Latin American countries.

O conhecimento responde a uma necessidade humana de situar-se diante do mundo, sendo, portanto, inerente à humanidade. O presente trabalho visa a explicitar a importância de que a pesquisa escolar elaborada pelos alunos seja realizada de forma ética e sistemática, na busca de promover a construção significativa da aprendizagem, considerando que a mesma propõe atitude processual de investigação diante do desconhecido e dos limites que a natureza e a sociedade nos impõem. A avaliação nesta atividade leva em conta o envolvimento, a participação, a produção do conhecimento, o progresso, a caminhada e qualidade do processo educativo. A pesquisa na qual se fundamenta este artigo foi realizada com alunos e professores do 2º ano do Ensino Médio de uma escola particular e de uma escola pública, ambas localizadas na cidade de Curitiba. Na análise dos dados obtidos foi possível observar que a pesquisa apresenta-se como uma atividade viável de educação em ambiente escolar e, ainda, que há grande influência da postura do docente na formação do futuro universitário pesquisador. Ressalta que os professores precisam estar conscientes de seu papel de formadores e, por este motivo, é tão importante que se coloquem como estimuladores do processo de ensino aprendizagem que ocorre na escola. Sendo assim, o professor não pode aceitar uma tarefa de cópia como pesquisa e o aluno precisa ter consciência de que esta prática não acrescenta conhecimento algum.El conocimiento contesta a una necesidad humana de situarse delante del mundo, siendo, por lo tanto, inherente a la humanidad. El presente trabajo visa explicitar la importancia de la investigación escolar realizada de forma ética y sistemática, en la busca de promover la construcción significativa del aprendizaje, considerando que lo mismo propone actitud continua de investigación delante del desconocido y de los límites que la naturaleza y la sociedad nos imponen. La evaluación en esta actividad lleva en cuenta el envolvimiento, la participación, la producción del conocimiento, el progreso, la caminada y cualidad en el proceso educativo. La investigación en la cual si funda este artículo fue realizada con alumnos y profesores de Enseñanza Secundaria de una escuela privada e de una escuela pública, ambas localizadas en la ciudad de Curitiba. En el análisis de los datos obtenidos fue posible observar que la pesquisa presentase como una actividad viable de educación en ambiente escolar y aún que, haga gran influencia de la postura del docente en la formación del futuro universitario investigador. Resalta que los profesores necesitan estar conscientes de su papel de formadores y, por esto motivo, es tan importante que se posicionen como estimuladores del proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje que ocurre en la escuela. Siendo así, el profesor no puede aceptar una tarea de copia como pesquisa y el alumno precisa tener conciencia de que esta práctica no acrecienta ningún conocimiento.Knowledge is a response for the human needs of finding a place in the world; therefore, it is inherent in humankind. This article intends to show that the researches elaborated by students must be done in an ethical and systematized way, in order to provide a significant building of learning, and also to propose an investigative attitude when dealing with the unknown and the restrictions imposed by nature and society. In this kind of activity the assessment takes into consideration the involvement, participation, knowledge creation, development, journey and quality in the educational process. This paper is based on a research on second grade students and teachers from one private High School and one public High School in the city of Curitiba. The results show that the survey is a viable educational activity in the school environment and that teachers have a great influence on the education of future university student researchers. It emphasizes that teachers should be aware of their role as educators and that they also have to encourage the teaching-learning process in school. Thus, teachers should not accept copied research papers from students, and the students must know that this practice will not increase their knowledge.

This paper presents a brief reflection on the slopes of cartography, perceived as posture possible for communication research in the Amazon. Front to the particularities of the region from its natural geographical aspects to the historical and social nuances, the mapping is presented as a creative proposition that recognizes the complexity involved in the multiple communication realities found in the region. From a cartographic conduct essentially procedural and wandering, you can mark the place from where you think and establish appropriations conscious and inventive theoretical and methodological perspectives in accordance with the requirements of the study object in thought and for the region. The results are based on the analysis of 40 research papers, some of which are summa- rized, that allowed identifications of: 1) Topic, 2) Institution, 3) Population subject, 4) Situation of the problem, 5) Rec- ognition of theoretical framework and methodology made explicit, 6) Presentation of results. This review, part of the Colciencias-funded inter-institutional research project What to read and write for at Colombian universities? Scientific research in strategy, over time, has undergone transformations that can be analyzed as a trend in the production of knowledge in this field. This evolution takes place via the attempt to formulate a strategic knowledge toward for dynamics organizations and environments. Thus, the strategic knowledge developed so far is related to several tools to assist managers in decision-making process. However, there is strategy in other dimensions that exist per se and in themselves, but for various reasons are explored so little depth, as the strategist. This happens not for lack of interest among researchers, but by the needs of a practical nature, which are driven by the capitalist mode of production -- ideology. This occurs when science studies the reality brought, not the origin or first principles. Thus, this paper investigates how the process strategy research, with the finding of the predominance of a functionalist view of research on this phenomenon. Given this context, emerged the need to to approach the topic from other perspectives, such as interpretation, for example. Thus, we intend to propose a other way to access the phenomenon from the strategic use of social phenomenology. This aspect, which belongs to the interpretative guidance paradigm, addressing issues such as intersubjectivity, alter ego, the world of life, the process of signification, typification, behavior and social action, motivation theory, construction of schemes typical ideas that have great potential to contribute to advance the understanding of the holistic strategy. The interpretive paradigm offers something extra to the strategy seeking to understand the phenomenon in light of the strategic strategist of subjectivity, considering his substantive rationality and life experience. It is noteworthy that this look is a proposal for further studies from other line of research paradigm. This approach did not show greater or lesser relevance to the current functionalist line. Therefore, this study intends to contribute to the advancement of research in strategy, although its scope is introductory, developing an innovative approach to the proposed strategic phenomenon. Resumo Neste artigo, objetiva-se contextualizar as vertentes dos estudos do letramento no Brasil, pontuando as principais linhas de investigação e referencial teórico. A pesquisa é de natureza bibliográfica, de abordagem qualitativo-interpretativista. Primeiramente, buscou-se na literatura referências que tratam de estudos do(s) letramento(s) e que se vinculam a diferentes linhas de pesquisa, como letramento acadêmico, letramento escolar, letramento do professor, letramento digital, letramento literário e letramento científico. Em seguida, realizou-se uma Consulta Parametrizada no sítio do Diretório dos Grupos de Pesquisa no Brasil do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico para identificar as linhas de pesquisa e seus respectivos grupos de pesquisa vinculados aos estudos do(s) letramento(s) no Brasil. O estudo revelou que já existem bastantes referências acerca do tema no país e as perspectivas de investigação dos letramentos reforçam a importância e contribuições das pesquisas originárias no Grupo Nova Londres, alicerçadas pelos Novos Estudos do Letramento. Abstract In this paper, we contextualize the literacy studies in Brazil, providing the main lines of research and theoretical frameworks. The study is bibliographical with a qualitative-interpretative approach. First, we searched the literature for references related to literacy studies and the links to different research lines, such as academic literacy, school literacy, teacher’s literacy, digital literacy, literary literacy, and scientific literacy. Then, a parameterized consult was carried out on the website of the Directory of Research Groups in Brazil, from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, to identify the lines of research and their respective research groups related to literacy studies in Brazil. The study revealed that there are enough references on the subject and the prospects for literacy research reinforce the importance and contributions of the research originated in the New London Group and the New Literacy Studies. Resumen El objetivo de este artículo es contextualizar los estudios de alfabetización en Brasil, puntualizando las líneas de investigación y marcos teóricos principales. Esta exploración es de naturaleza bibliográfica, con un enfoque cualitativo-interpretativo. Primero, se plantean las referencias sobre los estudios de alfabetización y sus diferentes líneas, como la alfabetización académica, la escolar, la docente, la digital, la literaria y la científica. Luego, se realiza una consulta parametrizada en el sitio web del Directorio de Grupos de Investigación en Brasil, perteneciente al Consejo Nacional para el Desarrollo Científico y Tecnológico, donde se identifican las líneas y respectivos grupos investigativos vinculados a los estudios de alfabetización. Este levantamiento revela suficientes referencias sobre el tema, así como que las diversas perspectivas corroboran la trascendencia y las contribuciones de estas líneas investigativas, promovidas por el New London Group y los Nuevos Estudios de Alfabetización.

Women are conquering more space in the organizations every day. However, even with their participation increase in practically all the activities and with several conquered rights, a lot of inequalities still exist in relation to men, what results in an increase of researches on gender. Before that, the objective of this article is to analyze the scientific production of a decade of gender studies in the Administration. For so much, it was lifted up all the papers published in the ENANPAD annals (National Meeting of Post-Graduation in Administration) and in the Brazilian scientific magazines RAE, RAC, RAP, RAUSP and O&S in the years from 1995 to 2004. The papers were analyzed through the theoretical-epistemological classification proposed by Calás and Smircich (1996) and also in relation to their thematic, method, main research techniques, nature of the research and nature of the analysis. Besides being one of the first meta-studies of the gender area in the Administration, it presented significant results that indicate spaces for new researches on the theme., Las mujeres están conquistando cada día más espacio en las organizaciones. Sin embargo, mismo con el aumento de la participación de ellas en prácticamente todas las actividades y con varios derechos conquistados, todavía existen muchas desigualdades en relación al género masculino, lo que acarrea a un aumento de investigaciones sobre género. Delante de eso, el objetivo de este artículo es analizar la producción científica de una década de los estudios de género en la Administración. Para tanto, fueron recogidos todos los artículos publicados en los anales del Enanpad (Encuentro Nacional de Posgrado en Administración) y en las requisas científicas RAE, RAC, RAP, RAUSP Y EL&S en los años de 1995 a 2004. Los artículos fueron analizados de acuerdo con la clasificación teórico-espistemológica propuesta por Càlas y Smircich (1996) y también en relación a su temática, método, principales técnicas de investigación, naturaleza de la investigación y naturaleza del análisis. Además de ser uno de los primeros meta-estudios del área de género en la Administración, presentó resultados significativos que indican espacios para nuevas investigaciones sobre el tema., As mulheres estão conquistando, a cada dia mais, espaço nas organizações. Contudo, mesmo com o aumento dessa participação em praticamente todas as atividades e com vários direitos conquistados, ainda existem muitas desigualdades em relação ao gênero masculino, o que acarreta em um aumento de pesquisas sobre gênero. Diante disso, objetiva-se com este artigo analisar a produção científica de uma década dos estudos de gênero na Administração. Para tanto, foram levantados todos os artigos publicados nos anais do ENANPAD (Encontro Nacional de Pós-graduação em Administração) e nas revistas científicas RAE, RAC, RAP, RAUSP E O&S nos anos de 1995 a 2004.
