This paper presents a brief reflection on the slopes of cartography, perceived as posture possible for communication research in the Amazon. Front to the particularities of the region from its natural geographical aspects to the historical and social nuances, the mapping is presented as a creative proposition that recognizes the complexity involved in the multiple communication realities found in the region. From a cartographic conduct essentially procedural and wandering, you can mark the place from where you think and establish appropriations conscious and inventive theoretical and methodological perspectives in accordance with the requirements of the study object in thought and for the region.
