Currently, banks offer a wide range of products and services that are available by Internet particularly after the COVID-19 pandemic. This situation has contributed to changes in consumer behaviour and preferences. This applies to the banking sector and banking services. The article presents the result of the empirical study. The conducted research shows that the interest in online banking among customers over 50 has increased during COVID-19. The use of the mobile application has also increased in this time. Therefore, security in the network has become important to many customers. The second part of the survey showed that 26% of bank customers describe the current banking sector as greedy and 20% of respondents indicate that it is a safe branch of the economy. In the period of recent economic events, according to 34% of respondents, this sector is struggling with numerous problems and the stability of many entities may be at risk.

Local government units are an attractive client for each bank. Cooperative banks have also seen it increasingly and more willingly to cooperate. They offer their services to smaller local governments. Local character and responsibility for the development of the region stimulate cooperation on many levels. Through effective co-operation, cooperative banks should become a local center of competence and trust, naturally contributing to the local economic climate. The share of local government units in receivables and liabilities of the cooperative banking sector in comparison with other groups is small, despite a steady increase for several years. However, its stabilization is more important than its growth, providing a lasting relationship between cooperative banks and local governments

This research had as main objective analyze digital limitations customers facing the new banking structure that involves systematization, automation and self-service. In reason of it is a market research that seeks to identify the sociodemographic profile of clients resistant to the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in banking self-service in João Pessoa, it was considered more appropriate to use a positivist foundationalist and epistemological ontology supported by a quantitative approach. In this way, through the analysis performed about the digital limitations raised from customers it is concluded that themselves despite the constant growth of ICTs, there is a recurring phenomenon in the profile of users who experience difficulties in performing effective use of ICTs revealing that users with greater cognitive and behavioral limitations in using electronic channels have a prevalence among the public over 45 years old and with medium schooling. The paper attempts to assess the extent of fi nancial exclusion of the rural population in Poland. One of the most basic measures of fi nancial exclusion is percentage of adult residents lacking a bank account. This and other measures verifying the population’s use of fundamental banking services and the statistical data on development of banking infrastructure in the territorial context were then employed to conduct an assessment of the extent and causes of fi nancial exclusion with a particular emphasis on the rural areas. The fi ndings show that, like in many other countries, the extent of provision of fi nancial services among the rural population is more limited compared to the urban population. The fi nancial exclusion, has much deeper roots going beyond the geographical factors. The real causes of the fi nancial exclusion lie not only in access to banking services but also in their price, the population’s income, as well as being strongly aff ected by information and behaviour.

Financial exclusion appears to be greater in rural areas than in cities. The article concludes that the problem is connected not only with the people of low incomes but also individuals running their own businesses e.g. farmers and small entrepreneurs. The extent and reasons for fi nancial exclusion among such entities have been identifi ed and accompanied by the analysis of access to banking services – the key to effective management. The source of empirical data relied on survey questionnaires of farmers and small entrepreneurs in the rural areas in the south-eastern region of Poland. It was stated that in case of persons running their own businesses fi nancial exclusions is mainly connected with a limited access to bank credit, yet the reasons for this situation are diverse. Apart from the internal factors associated with businesses (e.g. low and unstable incomes, aversion to risk, lack of confi dence in banks etc.), signifi cant determinants lie on the side of banks and the structure of fi nancial system in rural areas.

BANKING industry , *MILLENNIALS , *INTERNET access , *HOME banking services , *CELL phones - Abstract
A typical representative of the Generation Y, living at the turn of the century, is a mobile person - who feels himself as a citizen of the world, tolerant, open to new ideas, but quickly bored. He lives intensively and cannot imagine life without access to the Internet and mobile phone. It is a person taking care of his education and aware of its importance. Representatives of Gen Y's use banking services, mainly because of the convenience in managing their finance and time saving. They recognize the increased security of money deposited in the bank. Their decisions are often influenced by parents or friends and the information that they find in the virtual world. They are not convinced by such incentives as traditional advertising, and banks leaflets. Other factors that influence the bank selection by the Generation Y are fees, professional service staff, a network of cash machines and bank reputation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Etyczny kontekst działania nabiera coraz większego znaczenia w teorii i praktyce finansów. Oceniono, w jakim stopniu misselling jest efektem celowych działań banków, a w jakim stopniu wynika z niedostosowania modelu sprzedaży bezpośredniej usług bankowych i braku znajomości faktycznych potrzeb klientów. Przedstawiono rekomendacje, w jakich kierunkach warto modyfikować standardy oferowania usług bankowych celem poprawy relacji klientów z bankami oraz jakie działania należy podjąć wobec konsumentów celem ograniczania asymetrii informacji w relacji klient–bank. W analizie zastosowano model strukturalny SEM uwarunkowań zaufania transakcyjnego do banku. Misselling w bankowości często wynika z niedostosowania modelu sprzedaży bezpośredniej usług bankowych do rzeczywistych sytuacji w placówkach bankowych i braku znajomości faktycznych potrzeb klientów. Model client centrity ogranicza ryzyko missellingu, ograniczając asymetrię informacji. Rzeczywista orientacja na klienta pozwala osiągnąć równowagę pomiędzy satysfakcją klienta, rzetelnością doradcy bankowego a celami sprzedażowymi banku. The objective of this paper was to assess the client centrity model as a way to achieve a compromise between the sales objectives of the banks and observing ethical standards of providing banking services. The research assessed to what extent the misselling is a result of the deliberate actions of the banks, and to what extent it is a result of not adapting the direct selling model of the banking services and the lack of the actual needs of the customers. The paper presented recommendations as to the directions where the standards of offering the banking services should go in order to improve the customers’ relations with the banks, as well as what measures should be undertaken for the consumers to reduce the asymmetry of information in the customer–bank relations. The analysis employed the structural equation modeling (SEM) of the conditions of the transactional trust in banks. Misselling in banking frequently results from not adapting the direct selling model to the real situations at the bank branches and the lack of familiarity with the actual needs of the customers. The client-centric model reduces the risk of misselling and limits the asymmetry of information. The actual customer-oriented attitude allows one to achieve the balance between the customer satisfaction, reliability of a bank adviser and the bank’s sales objective.
