Background. Oral health is a crucial component of general health. However, statistics and indicators have not shown improvements in dental health in Iran in recent years. Enhancing the quality of dental services in the country requires comprehensive knowledge of the current state of dental care provision. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate dental services for children in Tabriz over the past five years and to propose strategies for improvement. Methods. This qualitative study employed a phenomenological approach and was conducted in Tabriz in 2021 (1400 Persian Calendar year). Data were collected through focus group discussions with 13 participants and semi-structured individual interviews with six participants. Among the 19 participants, 11 were general dentists, and five were pediatric dentists. Data were analyzed using Diekelmann's seven-stage phenomenological analysis method, and the main and sub-themes were categorized. Results. Six main themes and 33 sub-themes were identified. The main themes were: stewardship and leadership, service delivery, human resources, facilities and equipment, information recording, and economic issues. Seven sub-themes were found under stewardship and leadership, eight sub-themes emerged under service delivery, seven sub-themes were identified under human resources, one sub-theme was found under facilities and equipment, emphasizing their adequacy and appropriateness, five sub-themes emerged under information recording, highlighting its weaknesses, and finally, five sub-themes were identified under economic issues. Conclusion. The provision of dental equipment and facilities was identified as a major strength. However, inadequate preventive and educational dental services for children, along with deficiencies in the recording and utilization of health information, were the primary weaknesses in the delivery of dental services to children in Tabriz over the past five years.

Unbalanced development of different land use/cover in basins without considering the contribution of all components, can cause serious damage to the stability of the entire basin. The development of agricultural areas by increasing the amount of water use and creating dams upstream of rivers are the most important threats to wetlands in many places. Jazmorian wetland is one of the seasonal wetlands in the south-east of Iran. The most important source of water supply for this wetland is the Halil-Rood River. To investigate the land use/cover changes of Jazmurian wetland and Halil-Rood River, the time series of Landsat satellite data for the years 1354, 1374, 1387, and 1401 were used in the present research. The Landsat satellite images were classified using a hybrid classification method and the land use/cover of the study area maps were prepared. The accuracy of the prepared maps for the latest image was calculated by preparing the error matrix, calculating the kappa index, and the overall accuracy of more than 0.8 and 9%, respectively. The investigation of the prepared maps showed that the area of land under water increased from 1354 to 1374 and then decreased from 119,552 hectares in 1374 to 723 hectares in 1401. The area of agricultural land increased from 2131 hectares in 1354 to 133913 hectares in 1387 and declined to 105795 hectares in 1401. The results of this study show that in this period, with the construction of a dam upstream of the Halil-Rood River, and the development of agricultural lands, the water volume level of the wetland decreased, and the wetland completely dried up in 1401. The present study indicates the necessity of considering different components of a watershed in development planning to achieve sustainable development.

Background. In recent decades, epidemics of various infectious diseases have occurred. Despite the health authorities' educational efforts to provide people with adequate information, there is not enough evidence regarding the evaluation and effectiveness of educational methods. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of educational methods provided for the public during epidemics of infectious diseases from people's perspective. Methods. This cross-sectional study was conducted in Iran in 2023. The participants included individuals who were older than 15 years and were living in Iran during the recent epidemics. We used a tailored questionnaire consisting of 14 questions to gather information. The validity of the questionnaire was ensured by calculating the content validity index and ratio. Furthermore, its reliability was confirmed through a pilot study. The participants were selected using convenience sampling. In order to collect data, the questionnaire was distributed to the target group both electronically and in person. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS software (version 24) with normality tests conducted, and any P-value below 0.05 was considered significant. Results. A total of 278 individuals participated in the study, with the majority being women (61.9%). The average age of the participants was 33.9 years old. Most of the participants had a bachelor's degree (43.2%). According to the results of the study, social networks were identified as the most commonly used source for receiving educational materials during infectious disease epidemics (76.8%), and they were also considered to be the most effective source (87.6%). Additionally, based on the participants' opinions, social networks outperformed other information sources (78%). Face-to-face education provided by healthcare workers was identified as the most trusted educational source (81.6%), and the participants recommended this method to others more than any other method (82.4%). Interviews with healthcare experts and in-person education provided by healthcare workers were perceived as the most effective educational methods by the people surveyed (60.4%). Furthermore, the results indicated that as individuals age, their reliance on sources of information like the Internet, social networks, and newspapers tends to decrease. Conclusion. The results of the current study can provide valuable information for policymakers on educating the public during epidemics of communicable diseases, as well as help them make quick, effective, and evidence-based decisions.

Background and Objectives: The purpose of this study is comparing the Effectiveness of Social-Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL) and Parent Effective Training (PET) on Parenting-Stress, in 6-12-Year-old Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Materials and Methods: The research method was semi-experimental and a pre-test-post-test design was used with a control-group. The statistical population of this research was all male and female students aged 6-12 with ADHD in Isfahan who were studying in the academic year of 2021-2022.The research sample consisted of 48 parents and students with ADHD who were purposefully selected and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. Each package consisted of 8 treatment sessions for children and parents, which was package (SEAL) for children and package‌ (PET) for parents. To analyze the data at the descriptive level, frequency tables and graphs and percentages of frequency, average and standard-deviation were calculated, and at the inferential level, univariate and multivariate analysis of covariance tests were used. Aim: The aim of the present study was to investigate the Effectiveness of Dweck’s Mindset intervention on negative orientation towards problem and hopelessness in high school students. Method: The present study is an applied type and the project’s plan was a quasi-experimental study(pretest-posttest) and a control group. The statistical population consisted high school students (female) in Isfahan who were selected using multi-stage random sampling method. Negative Orientation Towards Problem questionnaire(NPOQ) and The Beck Hopelessness Scale(BHS) were research tools. 183 students completed the questionnaires. In the first screening step, 50 students were selected by purposive sampling. 30 students were randomly placed in the second step into experimental(n=15) and control groups(n=15). Introduction: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is the most common malignancy of the oral cavity, which is usually caused by the most common premalignant lesion of oral leukoplakia (OL). For changes of dysplasia and malignancy, the level of antioxidants in the blood and tissue of patients changes significantly, which may be effective in early diagnosis of malignancies. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to evaluate antioxidants (enzymatic and non-enzymatic) in the blood of patients with OSCC and OL. Material & Methods: This study is a case-control study and was conducted on 75 blood samples of patients with OSCC and OL referred to the Cancer Institute of Imam Khomeini Hospital, Ilam. Background. Training efficient human resources is one of the main missions of universities. Considering the role of education in the development of professional human resources in the health system, it is essential to evaluate the status of the educational system in Iranian universities. The present study aimed to identify and prioritize the challenges in the educational system of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences as well as to provide solutions for dealing with them based on the viewpoints of investors (i.e., faculty members, students, managers, and teaching staff of the university). Methods. This mixed method study (i.e., qualitative-quantitative study) was conducted in Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in the summer of 2023. The total number of the participants was 538, including 138 faculty members, 345 students, and 55 managers and employees in the field of education. The data collection tool in the qualitative phase of the study was an open-question questionnaire, but that in the quantitative phase was a closed-question one. The prioritization matrix was used to prioritize the challenges, which included four indicators of importance, solvability, cost-effectiveness, and urgency. Results. A lack of the space and suitable facilities for students during their internships and internships, a professors' workload, a lack of the connection between Tabriz university and other universities/educational centers, a failure to select educational authorities based on their qualifications and capabilities, and a lack of professors were the most serious educational challenges. Conclusion. The lack of suitable space and facilities for students during their internships and the insufficient number of professors were two of the most serious educational challenges at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. Therefore, it was recommended that the authorities and managers of this university should pay urgent attention to these challenges and do careful planning to address them.

Background and Objectives: Language is one of the most important components of growth in children. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a language skills improvement package based on cognitive rehabilitation and determine its effectiveness on the expressive language performance of children with specific language impairment (SLI). Materials and Methods: The method of the current research was of mixed exploratory type. The statistical population in the qualitative section were scientific articles and the opinions of university professors and experts. In the qualitative phase, data were collected through deductive thematic analysis, and then a set of interventions was developed over 12 sessions, and its content validity was confirmed. The quantitative part of the research was a clinical trial, and its statistical population included all children aged 5-7 years with a specific language disorder who were referred to private speech therapy clinics in Borujerd, Iran, among which 30 children with an average age of 6.31 ± 0.92 were selected by purposive sampling method and randomly replaced in two experimental and control groups. The instruments used in this study were the fourth version of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, a semi-structured clinical interview, and the Newcomer and Hammill language development test. Background & Aim: Osteoporosis is a common problem in menopausal women, and adopting preventive behaviors is crucial in addressing this issue. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effect of an educational intervention based on the health belief model (HBM) on promoting osteoporosis-preventive behaviors in menopausal women. Methods & Materials: This quasi-experimental study with a control group was conducted on 64 menopausal women referred to Urmia urban health centers in 2023. Participants were selected using random sampling and then randomly allocated into two groups: control (32) and intervention (32). The data collection instruments included questionnaires comprising demographic information, knowledge assessments, Health Belief Model constructs, food frequency, and physical activity items. Following pre-test evaluations and needs assessment, a training program was designed and delivered to the intervention group. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS software version 26. Results: The mean scores for knowledge, perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefits, perceived self-efficacy, and cues to action in the intervention group significantly increased compared to both the pre-intervention assessment and the control group. To remove pollutants, many methods have been used so far, including ion exchange, coagulation and reverse osmosis. Most of these methods have many disadvantages and among them, the adsorption method is considered as a useful method. The purpose of this study is to synthesize adsorbents in the form of nanocomposites based on graphene oxide and modify the surface of graphene oxide by using iminodiacetic acid ligand to remove chromium ion by adsorption method. To determine the chemical structure and characterization of functionalized magnetic graphene oxide, we used XRD, BET, FTIR and SEM analysis. After that, the factors affecting the removal rate such as adsorbent amount, time of reaction, pH and initial concentration of chromium ion were investigated. The optimal conditions for removal of chromium ion were obtained as pH of solution 2, initial adsorbent weight 30 mg, initial chromium ion concentration 15 mg/L, absorption process time of 15 minutes and removal efficiency was 92.00%. The experimental results and the results of the response surface design were in good agreement (98.8%). Reviewing kinetic and isotherm studies showed that the adsorption process follows the pseudo second-order kinetics and Langmuir isotherm. Magnetic graphene oxide functionalized with iminodiacetic acid has the highest adsorption rate and was considered as the optimal adsorbent for successful metal removal.

Introduction: The first trimester of pregnancy is associated with unpleasant experiences for mothers. One of these unpleasant experiences is breast pain, which leads to a low quality of life in pregnant women, so the present study was conducted with aim to investigate the effect of vitamin B6 as a safe and available supplement on breast pain in the first trimester of pregnancy. Methods: This randomized controlled clinical trial study was conducted in 2019-2020 on women with a gestational age of 6-10 weeks who had breast pain with start of pregnancy for 5 days or more in Gonabad city. Pregnant women were divided into two groups of 42 people, control and intervention. The control group was given a placebo daily and the intervention group was given a 40 mg vitamin B6 pill for 1 month. The visual pain scale questionnaire was given to the research units before and one month after the intervention. The amounts of vitamin B6 received from the diet of the groups were obtained through a 24-hour food reminder questionnaire and N4 software. Data analysis was done using SPSS software (version 20) and independent t-tests, Mann-Whitney, Chi-square, Fisher, Wilcoxon and regression. P0.05). According to Mann-Whitney test results, there was no significant difference between the two groups regarding the mean score of breast pain after the intervention (p=0.2). Conclusion: The effect of oral vitamin B6 compared to placebo is not effective on reducing breast pain score in the first trimester of pregnancy. Further studies with a larger sample size, different doses of vitamin B6 and measuring the serum level of vitamin B6 are suggested.

In a polywell reactor, it is critical to have a stable and energetic virtual cathode that is necessary to accelerate ions and create fusion interactions. Increasing the confinement time of virtual cathode electrons is of critical importance in the performance of polywell reactors. In this paper, COMSOL Multiphysics software was used to perform a three-dimensional numerical simulation in order to investigate the impacts of effective variables of a polywell on the virtual cathode. The findings indicated that the confinement time depends on the distance between the coils, coil radius, coil current, and the kinetic energy of the injected electrons. In addition, by using the simulation results, the dependence of the mentioned parameters on the confinement time is obtained, and then a mathematical model was developed.

Introduction: Policymakers' inability to identify and analyze public issues to formulate necessary policies, the weaknesses of agents and executives in implementing the procedures, and the lack of optimal use of existing resources are among the most prominent disadvantages of public welfare governance in various societies. The purpose of this research is to provide a model to understand the inefficiency of public welfare governance in Iran. Method: The present research is a mixed-method type (quantitative-qualitative) of research. In order to identify the concepts, dimensions and indicators of the model, theme analysis (qualitative) was used, and structural equation modeling (quantitative) was employed to fit the conceptual model of the research. 26 experts, professors and experts in the field of policy and public welfare have been selected for the socio-statistics of the qualitative part. The statistical population of the quantitative part consists of 240 experts, managers and senior managers in the field of policy and social welfare. 148 people participated considering Cochran's formula. Findings: In the qualitative part; 50 initial indicators were identified and after coding, 45 indicators were confirmed by theme analysis. Six dimensions (management and decision-making; public finance of the government; planning; internal environment; external environment and sectoral governance), and four components of causal, contextual, strategy, and consequence factors were confirmed. In the quantitative part, the dimensions of management and decision-making and public finance of the government were found to have an effect on the dimensions of the internal and external environment as well as on the dimension of planning, and the dimension of planning also affects the governance of a sector. The dimension of management and decision-making was ranked first with an average of 6.54, and the dimension of governance was ranked last with an average of 5.14. Discussion: A comprehensive model for identifying public issues enables the country to determine and implement priorities and strategies. The design requirements for the pattern of public welfare pathology in Iran will be six dimensions and 45 indicators extracted in this model.

Background. Enjoying family life and interpersonal or marital relationships as well as feeling satisfied are among the main desires of every person. Numerous studies show that self-differentiation is one of the most important intrapersonal and interpersonal elements in families, especially in Iranian ones, which is also associated with other psychological phenomena. Methods. This study was performed using the meta-analysis technique by integrating the results of various studies conducted in the field of consequences and preconditions of their differentiation in Iranian families. To this end, 33 eligible and acceptable studies were selected and meta-analyzed. Data collection was performed using a meta-analysis checklist. Background: Children with intellectual disabilities reduce the happiness of their parents, especially their mothers, due to their developmental, intelligence, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral disabilities. Relationships of parenting styles have been confirmed with various variables, but its relationships with happiness mediated by life satisfaction and quality of life in mothers with Children with intellectual disabilities have been neglected. Aims: Structural relationships between parenting styles and happiness mediated by life satisfaction and quality of life in mothers of Children with intellectual disabilities. Method: The method of this study is correlational and structural equation modeling. The statistical population of the present study included all mothers with children with mental disabilities from vocational training centers under 14 years of age in South Khorasan, from which 153 people were selected by random sampling. Using forensic analysis, this study attempted to investigate the influence of the Persian language on the quality of Khoramabadi Luri vowels. This research tried to find the answer to whether Persian can affect the acoustic features of Khoramabadi vowels or not. To do so, data from 20 Khoramabadi Lur participants (10 males, 10 females) were recorded; the first group of whom lived in Khoramabad and the second group lived in Tehran. 54 sentences including the selected words were read by participants. The total number of phonetic sample tokens analyzed was 3240, including /ɑ, y, ø, o, u, ə, a, e, ʏ, ɪ, i/ vowels. Phonetic samples were analyzed phonetically and statistically. The acoustic parameters, fundamental frequency, and the first formant frequency to the fifth formant frequency were chosen. Data analysis showed that fundamental frequency, fifth formant frequency, third formant frequency, and by a wide margin second formant frequency had the highest capacity to distinguish Luri samples articulated by male speakers who lived in Tehran and Khoramabad. For female speakers, only fundamental frequency and by a wide margin, the fifth formant frequency of Khoramabadi Luri had this capacity. As a result, fundamental frequency and higher formant frequencies had the highest capacity to distinguish the speakers.

This paper intends to analyze theological arguments in recent years on the fifth generation of revolutionary theories. After the Arab Spring in 2011, given the characteristics of these revolutions, continuous debates took place on how to clarify and analyze these developments. In 1980, Goldstone argued three generations of revolutionary theories, followed by Foren (1993) and Goldstone (2001) who introduced fourth generation of revolutionary theories that unlike third generation, placed more emphasis on revolution as agent. The question of this paper is the emergence of fifth generation of revolutionary theories. Within less than a decade, revolutionary scientists (Allinson, Adams, Laveson, Bayat, Beck, Ritter, Eslim, Donn, …) have extensively argued revolutions in the past three decades (since 1989) and questioned capacity/incapacity of the fourth generation of revolutionary theories in clarifying and analyzing these revolutions. This paper will review such arguments and analyze the fourth generation of revolutionary theories through a critical analytical method to argue the emergence of the fifth generation of revolutionary theories. Results show that revolutions in the past three decades lacked essential components of the fourth generation of revolutionary theories, in particular, ideology, leadership, and revolutionary organization). Therefore, with the help of works by later revolutionary scientists (particularly Bayat (2017), Loveson (2019), Allinson (2021, 2019), and Adams (2021, 2019)) some characteristics of the new generation of revolutionary theories will be accessible according to which, “revolution” has found a new definition, i.e. “collective protest action, sudden (to some extent), relatively calm, nonviolent, coupled with mass mobilization, by extensive use of cyberspace and social networks, without unified leadership and ideology, along with political overhaul in line with democratization of procedures of governance”. The majority of revolutions in the past three decades have taken place against one-party dictatorships (socialist regimes), autocratic dictatorships (despotic single-person regimes in MENA (Middle East and North Africa)). Therefore, despotism has been the cause and ground for revolutions and their consequences have been political (overhaul of political system). Moving away from social revolutions (Skocpol, Foran, Goldstone), and ideological revolutions (Foran, Goldstone), the “new” revolutionary theory is after analyzing a procedure that has caused a political overhaul in despotic regimes.

Background: One of the criteria for measuring the performance of governments and their survival is the degree of success in reducing and stabilizing the misery index. The misery index is obtained from the sum of inflation and unemployment. Inflation and unemployment are the most important factors affecting family's income. If the misery index is high, families will have less money to buy their consumer goods, including the use of healthcare services and treatment. Therefore, this research has evaluated the relationship between misery index and patients' out-of-pocket payments in Iran's health system. Methods: Using time series data of 1998-2019, this study has investigated the relationship between misery index and patients' out-of-pocket payments in Iran's health system. For this purpose, the Dickey-Fuller test was used to check the durability of the variables, the Todayamamoto causality test was used to check the causality relationship between the variables, and the autoregression method with distribution breaks was used to check the existence of a long-term relationship. In addition, the data and results were analyzed using Eview 9 software. Results: The results showed that there was a bi-directional causal relationship between the misery index and the out-of-pocket payments of patients in the health system. Furthermore, with increasing 1 unit of misery index 1.27 units of out-of-pocket payments increased. The correction error coefficient was 0.312, which meant this amount was adjusted each period by 0.312 from short-term imbalance to achieve long-term balance. In other words, it takes more than 3 years and less than 4 years to eliminate the short-term imbalances and reach its long-term relationship. Conclusion: As the misery index increases, patients' out-of-pocket payments also increase. Therefore, the government should reduce the out-of-pocket payments of patients in the health system by adopting appropriate policies to reduce unemployment and inflation. Basic insurance coverage for essential services for patients should be increased. The extent of complementary medical insurance should be increased at the community level, especially in the lower deciles. In fact, the government should bear the cost of this part of the insurance for the four lower deciles. This is done in order to reduce the patients' out-of-pocket payments.

Introduction: Cadmium (Cd) is an environmental pollutant and chemical agent that destroys cell structure in various tissues. Probiotics are normal flora bacteria that if consumed adequately, will have health benefits in addition to nutritional benefits. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of a mixture of native Iranian probiotics on biochemical factors and kidney tissue of male rats exposed to cadmium chloride. Methods: In this experimental study, 21 male Wistar rats were divided into 3 groups of 7: control, cadmium chloride recipient (3mg/kg) and cadmium chloride recipient (3mg /kg) + mixture of probiotics (CFU/mL109) were divided. Single-dose cadmium chloride was given to rats by intraperitoneal injection and probiotics by gavage for 30 days. At the end of the test, blood samples were taken directly from the heart to study serum creatinine and urea concentrations by autoanalyzer method and kidney tissue was used for microscopic studies of E&H staining. The data were evaluated using SPSS software version 16 and one-way ANOVA and Tukey test. Introduction: Positive parent-child interactions prevent psychological, developmental, emotional and social harm in children. Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of psychological interventions on parent-child interactions in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Method: The research method was a systematic review and the statistical population included all national research using the keywords of parent-child interactions, parenting, attention deficit-hyperactivity in databases of, Society of Humanities portal, Jihad University Scientific Information Center, Noor Specialized Journals, Iran Institute of Information Science and Technology and, database of publications of the country. Amongst them, 334 studies were selected using the purposive sampling method, whereas, 11 studies were methodologically acceptable in this study. All of studies were analyzed according to the instructions of PRISMA. Results: The results showed that most of the researches are related to the years 2019-2020. Tehran and Isfahan have the most researches, hence, in recent years, the attention of researchers to the subject of various interventions in the field of parent-child interactions has increased. Moreover, neurofeedback-related interventions (40 sessions) and multidimensional parenting (16 sessions) had the largest shares in terms of intervention sessions. Conclusion: The results indicate the importance of various educational interventions aimed at improving parent-child interactions and their effectiveness in reducing mental stress, behavioral problems and attention problems in children with attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder. Therefore, behavioral education programs with parental participation and the use of multidimensional and integrated interventions are the most effective therapies which can be placed at the top of the planning of researchers and therapists in this field.

The purpose of this article is to review and criticize the theories of government in Iran (first Pahlavi period). There have been extensive researches about the government in the first Pahlavi period. In these researches, traits such as; Modern state, modern absolutist, pseudo-patrimonialism, autocracy, dictatorship, pseudo-modernism, oriental tyranny, Iranian tyranny, dependent, neo-authoritarian, etc. have been used. The multiplicity and diversity of these concepts indicate the multiplicity and significant conceptual differences, which are debatable. The main question is, how can these views be proposed and criticized, and what is the alternative for the title of government in this period? The purpose of this article is to present and criticize these conceptual differences and contradictions, as well as to review the presented views that can strengthen the theoretical and experimental literature of this historical period. In this article, I have used the meta-study method to achieve this goal. The obtained results show a diversity of views and based on the criteria used in this article, few of the reviewed writings have a clear understanding of the concept of the state, its functions and special tasks in the new era, and the authors in many cases Due to the confusion of concepts, there is little difference between the words; Government, governance, and regime are not considered to be three different but related institutions. Introduction: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the most common cause of death in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). The association between diabetes and cardiovascular disease is complex and multifaceted. This study aimed to investigate the possible association between rs8192688 Polymorphism of the FABP-4 gene and the CVD susceptibility in T2DM patients in Ilam Province, Iran. Material & Methods: The statistical population consisted of 210 cases (T2D patients with CVD [n=70], T2D patients without CVD [n=70], and healthy controls [n=70]). The frequency of polymorphisms was investigated using the Tetra-Primer-ARMS-PCR method. Superhydrophobic coatings can be made by creating a micro-sized structure on a surface providing super-repellent properties which has many applications in aerospace, defense, automotive, biomedical and engineering. Numerical simulation of drop dynamics and motion on a superhydrophobic surface helps us understand control and building surface textures and find optimum micro structured coatings of maximum hydrophobicity. In the present work, the dynamics of drops on superhydrophobic inclined micro-structured surfaces is studied, using a finite element method. Effect of microstructures on droplet behavior on a superhydrophobic surface is investigated using different microstructures. The governing equations and important dimensionless numbers are described and a numerical algorithm is introduced. The validation of the numerical algorithm is performed by simulation of drop motion attached to an inclined surface. In addition, droplet movement on the micro structured surface is numerically simulated on smooth and microstructure surfaces in the same conditions. Comparison of the results shows the effect of microstructure coating on the surface hydrophobicity properties.

Aims: Attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder has negative effects on children's behavior. The aim of the present study is to compare the effectiveness of field information model and child-parent relationship therapy on reducing ADHD symptoms in children in Isfahan. Materials & Methods: The present study was a randomized controlled clinical trial. The statistical population of this study was children aged 5 to 6 and their mothers living in Isfahan in 2018-2019. Thirty patients were selected as a sample by available sampling and then randomly assigned in two experimental groups and a control group were placed. The Pediatric Symptoms Questionnaire (Gadow and Sprafkin, 1984) was used to screen children. Data analysis was performed by univariate analysis of covariance and LSD test with SPSS 22 software. Findings: The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups (F=103.100, p≤0.05). In other words, this program are effective in reducing the symptoms of attention deficit in the post-test stage. Conclusion: The present study concludes that these program can be used as an effective intervention.

Over the past few decades, following the pivotal role of knowledge and commercialization of knowledge as the main factor of economic prosperity and competitiveness, the importance of changing the universities' role in fostering the fertility of innovative and entrepreneurial activities is increasingly emphasized. In this regard, in many parts of the world, governmental and intergovernmental organizations have played an influential role in promoting the entrepreneurial concept and mentality and encouraging universities to become more entrepreneurial and engaged. One of the means in this line is awards to entrepreneurship in higher education. Due to the importance of moving towards this concept in Iran, the entrepreneurial university awards can be a means to accelerate the implementation of relevant policies. Therefore, this research, using documentary study, reviews awards to entrepreneurship and engagement in higher education provided by other countries. The findings can assist policymakers and researchers in understanding the importance of introducing this award and in providing a local model in Iran that can guide and encourage the Iranian universities towards engagement and entrepreneurship, which helps improve the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

This research papers seeks to identify alignment factors between planning and budgeting practices in Tehran municipality and also provide solutions on how to establish and enhance this alignment, using the grounded theory method based on Strauss and Corbin framework. The data collection was made by purposive sampling strategy implemented through the semi structured interviews of 21 participants. The participants were grouped in tree categories via, managers of Tehran Municipality, University Experts and Former members of Tehran City Council (3 persons). For each category ,21 semi-structured interviews were conducted. Based on the results derived from interviews, actions need to be taken for the strengthening the alignments between planning and budgeting are as follow: reform in plans and indicators therein, debt management, cost management, reform in processes and procedures, reform in laws and regulations, control and supervision, implementation of performance-based budgeting, fiscal discipline in planning and budgeting, systemic thinking, plan requirements, requirements related to the implementation of the plan), capital budgeting. Also, factors such as process reform, awareness and training, organizational capabilities, transparency, leadership, law reform and the promotion of information technology platforms, pave the way for aligning budgeting with planning.

Background and Objectives: The present study aimed to compare the academic help-seeking and meaning of education in deaf, blind, and normal students. Materials and Methods: The research method was causal-comparative. The statistical population included blind, deaf, and normal high school students in Isfahan. A total of 36 students were selected using the convenience sampling method and then divided into two groups (18 people) due to the limited statistical population of deaf and blind and input criteria. In the following step, 18 normal students were selected. Data were collected using Ryan and Pentrich's (1997) academic help-seeking and King and Smith's (2006) meaning of education (MOE) Scales and analyzed MANOVA, Tukey’s test, and SPSS Software (Version 24). Background and Objectives Action research has become popular in health system research and problem solving. The aim of this study was to introduce the concepts and applications of action research in health system. Material and Methods This study reviewed the related documents and literatures in Persian and English Language by comprensive search in web-based resources. Results This study compares the Simmons model and other methods and provides a successful model for the use of pilot research in the health system. Conclusion This study recommends utilization of action research in solving health system problems in practice and also for learning in environment. Extended Abstract Background and Objectives Many experts believed that classic research methods have not been sufficient to help solve numerous problems faced by the health system. Thus, researchers have developed a new approach to this problem called "action research."The results of various studies in different countries have confirmed positive effects of this type of study in improving the performance of the health system. The aim of this study was to introduce the concepts and applications of action research in improving the performance of the health system. Material and Methods The present study is a revie of the existing documents and literature. Relevant books and websites were searched through to find various approaches and methods of action research. In order to review action research studies conducted in the field of health and other sectors, valid Persian and English electronic references were reviewed by using the keywords "action research", "health system" and "health" in 2020. At first, definitions and key concepts of action research in the health system were discussed, then the model introduced by Simmons in 1995 for action research, as a comprehensive model, was described and examples of action research studies conducted worldwide, were provided. Results In action research, the researcher with the participation of stakeholders identifies the problems in the system and collects information to solve the problems. Then, in accordance with the conditions of the organization and the solutions provided, the researcher tries to improve the performance. Finally, the results of interventions are evaluated. For this reason, action research is known as a method to improve performance and quality. The Simmons model includes subject identification, data collection, planning, implementation, evaluation and feedback. By summarizing the information obtained, the following steps can be suggested for conducting successful action research in health system: determining the subject of the research, describing the current situation, collecting information, analyzing and interpreting data, selecting and implementing a new solution, collecting information, evaluating the impact of the new action and determining its validity, revising and presenting the final report. Action research includes looking (gathering information and describing the current situation), thinking (discovering what is happening, interpreting it and explaining why and how) and acting (planning, implementing and evaluating). FOCUS PDCA is a proposed model for action research. This model includes 9 steps: finding a problem, organizing the research team, clarifying the process, understanding the causes of change, selecting an item to improve, planning, doing, checking and acting. Conclusion One of the most important reasons for the success of and attention to action research is the inadequacy of traditional research in answering basic questions and problems in the field of health, and the reason for this inefficiency is the gap between traditional research and the needs of the health system, a weakness that can be properly addressed by action research. Finally, it is recommended that if health managers are looking to promote standards and improve the health system in practice and in their specific situation, it is better to continue action research. Since action research is one of the most practical and basic types of research that provides realprospects to promote standards and improve the health system by analyzing the existing issues and problems and taking action to solve them. Practical implications of research Action research is one of the most central and basic types of research that provides the ground for raising standards and improving the health system by analyzing existing issues and problems and taking action to address them. Objective: According to the variety and diversity of research conducted in the field of internal auditing, the purpose of this research is to gain a deeper understanding of the topic by conducting a systematic review of existing studies to classify topics and outline some potential future research directions. Methods: In order to achieve our purpose and to more efficiently examine a large number of articles, the "Computational Literature Review (CLR)" approach is used, and through this, the content of abstracts is analyzed automatically to provide a set of research topics within internal audit literature (Topic Modeling). The required information is collected from the Thomson Reuters Web of Science (WoS) database for 1401 articles over almost one hundred years (1920 to 2021). Results: The results of Topic Modeling show the focus of seven areas in internal audit research as follows: internal audit in the healthcare industry; internal audit in the areas of risk management, fraud, and internal controls; competence and training and internal audit quality; and the relationship between the external auditor and the internal auditor. A separate review of each of these identified issues related to internal audit reveals the most critical research conducted in this area and identifies some avenues for future research. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that throughout the evolution of internal auditing during its history (almost 100 years), its philosophy has evolved from ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and accounts and preventing the misuse of corporate funds or assets by helping to create and add value to companies. Internal auditing services have been upgraded from assuring financial statements and responding to its limited stakeholders (i.e., senior managers), giving assurance, consulting, forecasting risk, and being accountable to all stakeholders. Also, the change in the accountability direction of internal audit and its greater cooperation with external auditors, and the growth of technology and increasing the complexity of organizations have led to changes in competencies and skills required and improving and promoting its independence and objectivity; also engaging internal auditors in other areas of expertise (other than accounting and auditing), then it is expected that the trend will continue in the future.

The mathematical learning disorder is one of the most common learning disorders in schools that occurs due to inadequate concentration and poor memory or lack of coordination of motor proficiency in students. Mathematical learning disorder may be due to difficulty concentrating, memory problems or a lack of complete coordination of body movements. In this study, the effect of motor games in comparison to computer games on the executive, academic functions, and motor proficiency in students with mathematical learning disorder was investigated. In this study, 20 female students with math learning disabilities ranging in age from 8 to 9 years were divided into two balanced groups (n = 10) based on K Matt's mathematical score. Subjects in the first experimental group performed motor games for 8 weeks, 3 sessions of 45 minutes per week, and the second experimental group performed computer games during the same period. Mathematical tests of Key math (To diagnose and evaluate academic performance), Bruininksoseretsky, Stroop, and N-back in the pre-test and post-test stages were used to collect data. The results of this study have clearly shown that computer games compared to movement games had a greater effect on the executive functions and academic performance of students with a mathematical learning disorder. In contrast, it has been observed that the motor games were more effective on the motor proficiency of these students.

Rapid population growth, lack of resources, and mismanagement have made natural and human hazards more and more a major threat to human societies. This means that neighborhoods and urban areas will become the main source of many potential hazards. The main purpose of this study is to analyze and prioritize the neighborhoods of District 9 of Tehran in terms of residential vulnerability indicators using multi-criteria decision-making techniques. This research is theoretical-applied in terms of descriptive-analytical method and its nature. Therefore, in this study, using Shannon's entropy technique to the indicators (building age, materials used, quality of construction of buildings, floors, block placement status), the study was weighted and using WASPAS models, COPRAS, WSA was used to prioritize the vulnerability indicators of the neighborhoods and finally to achieve a single result in the assessment of the vulnerability of the neighborhoods, the integrated model was used. The results of the consolidated model model show that Fatah Industrial Neighborhoods with a score of 7 and Shahid Dastgheib with a score of (5) in terms of vulnerability in terms of urban housing indicators are at a low level of vulnerability and Imamzadeh Abdullah neighborhoods with Score (3) and Sword with Score (1) are in the average level in terms of housing vulnerability indicators, as well as South Mehrabad, Sar-e-Asiab-e-Mehr and Ostad Moin neighborhoods with a score of (-3) and Dr. Hoshyar neighborhood with a score of (7). -) In terms of housing vulnerability indicators, they are at a high level of vulnerability.

This study aimed to investigate the lived experience of parents of students with specific learning disabilities (SLD), during the Corona pandemic. The research method was phenomenological, of lived experience type. For this purpose, among the parents of students with specific learning disabilities in the academic year 2019-2020, whose children were under house quarantine due to the Corona pandemic and school closures, the parents of 20 students were purposefully selected and participated in the study. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect data, and the data were categorized and analyzed by Colaizzi’s method. The results showed that the lived experiences of parents of students with specific learning disabilities during the Corona pandemic included six main categories: (1) Child psychological problems, (2) Child behavioral problems, (3) Child cognitive problems, (4) Child educational problems, (5) Parenting problems, and (6) Child improper skills. It can be concluded that the poor skills of the parents of students with specific learning disabilities in the mentioned areas can increase the problems of these students and their parents during the home quarantine. Therefore, appropriate training courses in these areas need to be provided for parents of students with specific learning disabilities.

Background: Soils have a key role in establishment and growth of biota and also are as a natural resource, national capital and life substrate in any country. Therefore, every contamination can be transferred from soils to higher food levels with its negative impacts. Therefore, the purpose of the present study is to investigate oil pollution in soils caused by the establishment of Shahid Tondgovian Oil Storage in Zanjan province. The depot has three storage tanks with capacity of 47, 35 and 26 million liters of oil and gasoline and kerosene, respectively. Methods: Soil samples were collected from a depth of 5-15 cm at 20 sites and the values ​​of EC, pH and PAHs were measured. Then T-test was used to compare the results with standards and control sites. Results: The mean of pH and EC results were 8.24 and 281 µ/cm, respectively. The results showed PAHs values ​​were lower than the standard and there was no statistically significant difference between the study sites and the control one (P > 0.05). Also, the amount of benzo (a) pyrene compound, used as an indicator of total PAHs to study carcinogenic effects, was lower than standard in study area. Therefore, there is no health risk for the oil residents in collected samples from Shahid Tondgoian Oil Storage. Conclusion: Currently, oil pollution is not observed in the soils around the study area and there is no health risk for the residents in the suburbs.

Autism spectrum disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by severe impairment in social interactions, poor communication skills, and stereotyped behaviors. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of sensory integration exercises on social interactions and stereotyped behaviors of children with ASD. For this purpose, a quasi-experimental design of pre-test-post-test was performed with experimental and control groups. The statistical population of this study was included all students aged 5 to 12 years with ASD in Arak, in the academic year 2018- 2019. The sample was selected and randomly divided into experimental and control groups (13 in each group). The experimental group received 12 sessions, three days a week and each session lasted 45 minutes of sensory integration intervention, while the control group did not receive any intervention. For data collection, Revised Scale of Repetitive Behaviors (Bodfish and Symons; Parker and Lewis, 2000) and a Social Interaction Questionnaire (Kadesjö et al., 2004) were used before and after the intervention. Then the data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of covariance by SPSS19 software. The findings showed that there was significant difference between the score of stereotyped behaviors (0.001) and social interactions (0.015) in the experimental group. Overall, it was concluded that sensory integration exercises reduce stereotyped behaviors and improve social interactions. Therefore, it is suggested that sensory integration exercises be used to improve social interactions and reduce stereotyped behaviors in children with an autism spectrum disorder.

Hypothesis: In recent years, due to environmental pollution and sustainability issues, plastic industries have been encouraged to use biodegradable polymers. Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) is one of the most well-known biodegradable polymers with the advantage of bio-based nature. However, the inherent brittleness of PLA is its main disadvantage. The blending technique is the most effective and practical method to overcome the brittleness of PLA.Methods: A highly toughened PLA was prepared through physical melt-blending with ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) in the presence of hydrophobic nanosilica and SEBS-g-MA block copolymer compatibilizer. The morphology, thermal properties, mechanical properties, and linear rheology of the samples were investigated.Findings: Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images revealed that nanosilica is predominantly localized in the EVA droplets and at the interface of PLA and EVA. Some were also resided in the PLA matrix. Upon incorporating of nanoparticles, the interfacial strength improved and that the average droplet size was decreased. In the presence of compatibilizer, the morphology considerably changed: the dispersed spherical EVA phase turned into the cylindrical shape. Addition of copolymer and nanoparticles decreased the crystallization of PLA in the blends. Addition of 5 phr nanosilica considerably enhanced tensile toughness, elongation-at-break, and impact strength. On the other hand, the simultaneous addition of nanoparticles and compatibilizer dramatically improved the mechanical properties. For example, the elongation-at-break and impact strength of the compatibilized PLA/EVA blend containing 5 phr nanosilica were increased from 7% and 5.1 kJ/m2 to 141% and 71 kJ/m2 (compared to a neat blend), respectively. Finally, the microstructure of the blends was assessed through rheological measurements.

Selenium is an essential mineral found naturally in soil, water, and some foods. Today, selenium, as an antioxidant, is one of the vital elements in the human body. Although the human body needs a small amount of selenium daily, recent studies have shown that the same small amount of selenium is essential for maintaining healthy body function. It is challenging to choose the right dose of selenium. According to several studies in this present review, a daily supplement of 31.5-200 micrograms seems beneficial since the amount of selenium in various diseases is less than the amount in healthy people. The articles published in PubMed, Web of Science, Google Scholar and SCOPUS databases were screened and collected based on the keywords including selenium, oxidant, antioxidant, diabetes, cancer, toxicity, heart disease and liver disease. These keywords were chosen because of the antioxidant role of selenium as well as the prominent role of oxidation in the progression of these diseases. 150 articles published over a period of 20 years from 2000 to 2020 were used in this study. Articles about nano-seleniums, non-dietary supplements, and diseases caused by the underlying disease of metabolic syndrome were excluded and finally 121 articles were included in the study. A limited number of studies show that patients with multiple disorders may need to take higher doses of selenium (82.4 to 200 micrograms) than healthy people. In this study, seleniumchr('39')s antioxidant role in chronic metabolic disorders, including hyperlipidemia and hyperglycemia, and some cancers, were investigated. Also, the clinical significance of selenium deficiency in metabolic diseases, as well as clinical and experimental observations on the effect of selenium dietary supplements in the treatment of chronic metabolic diseases such as diabetes and atherosclerosis, and cancers, are briefly mentioned. Besides, the recommended toxicity and dose of selenium have been discussed.

The Ghezelhesar alkali olivine basalt flows as dark horizontal flows with about 20 m thickness covered the Quaternary deposits, 2 km southwest of Ghezelhesar village, 60 km northeast of Hamedan and in the Sanandaj-Sirjan geological and tectonic zone. The phenocrysts of these rocks are olivine and clinopyroxene often as euhedral crystals and common porphyritic, vitrophyritic and glomeroporphyric textures. The matrix of the rocks studied formed from volcanic glass, leucite, nepheline and microliths of pyroxene. The Ghezelhesar basalts, with continental within plate alkaline nature, are silica-under saturated and characterized by normative minerals of Diopside, Hematite, Anorthite, Albite, Orthoclase, ±Hypersthene, ±Olivine, ±Nepheline, and ±Quartz. REE normalized patterns show enrichment in LREEs rather than HREEs and fractionation between LREE and HREE is relatively high (LaN/YbN = 37.05–43.43). A negative anomaly in High Field Strength Elements (Nb, Ta, Zr, Ti, P, and Rb) and positive anomaly in Large Ion Lithophile Elements (i.e. Ba, Pb) and elements such as Th, La, Ce, Nd, and Sm are remarkable geochemical features of the rocks under study. These criteria along with parameters of their trace elements such as the ∆Nb indicate that the parent magma of the rocks under investigation derived from the low-grade degree partial melting of an enriched garnet-mantle, and the fractional crystallization has affected their chemical properties.

Introduction: The results of studies on the biological effects of ionizing radiation can play an important role in reducing the risk of occupational hazards of personnel working at the radiological departments of the hospital. This study aimed to investigate the concentration of aluminum, manganese, and selenium in the blood serum of operating room staff and their association with occupational radiation exposure. Materials & Methods: In total, 100 healthy operating room staff was selected using systematic random sampling. They were then divided into three groups of radiation workers, non-radiation worker, and test (those who were exposed to X-rays but did not wear film badges). Subsequently, two milliliters of peripheral blood were taken intravenously from volunteers and centrifuged to separate serum. The concentration of three elements was read by the graphite furnace atomic absorption spectroscopy. The analysis of variance was used to analyze the concentration of aluminum, manganese, and selenium in all groups. Moreover, the fitting curve of the occupational exposure was described using the R software. Ethics code: ir.kums.rec.1397.467 Findings: The normality of the data was assessed and confirmed by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Moreover, the concentration values (ng/ml) of aluminum, manganese, and selenium were 8.62, 9.08, and 76.15, as well as 13.53, 12.14, and 140.97 in the non- and radiation worker groups, respectively. The purpose of the present study is to understand the experiences of planners, executives and strategic control of customs and to understand the place of strategic thinking. Therefore, considering the strategic planning in the Customs of Iran, this research seeks to find out what position of critical and important strategic thinking variable among strategic planners, users and controllers? Do participants and users of strategic planning have a depth of strategic thinking? The community under study is involved in strategic planning at customs, describing and describing their experiences. Purposeful sampling was used to select the subjects (18 programmers and presenters) then required data with semi-structured individual interview (20-30 minutes) in the time frame of 30/1/98 until 12/3/1398. Research findings were categorized into five basic concepts using the Dikelman analysis method and Lidka's strategic thinking model. These concepts are: "Systematic attitude", "Strategic determination", "Advancement based on scientific approach", "Intelligent opportunism", and "Thinking in time" The research results show that strategic thinking is a key element in formulating and implementing The control is strategic planning and this variable has not been as well considered in the strategic planning of customs.

Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of various disinfectants on flexural strength and hardness of heat-cured acrylic dentures. Materials and Methods: A total of 60 acrylic samples were prepared with dimensions of 3×10×65 milimeters (30 acrylic Acropars and 30 acrylic Ivoclar). The acrylic samples were immersed into distilled water (control group), as well as sodium hypochlorite 1% and ozonated water (case groups) for 120 minutes. Subsequently, half of the samples were subjected to the flexural strength, and the other half were subjected to the hardness tests. The data were analyzed using 2-way ANOVA and Tukey’s test to compare the results. Results: According to the results, there were no significant differences between the samples immersed in the ozonated water and sodium hypochlorite regarding the flexural strength and hardness of acrylic. Conclusion: It seems that flexural strength and hardness of acrylic after immersion in ozonated water and sodium hypochlorite is not affected during the short-term use. Therefore, it is suggested to use ozonated water to disinfect the patient's teeth.

Taurine (2 amino ethane sulfonic acid), is a semi-essential amino acid and an end product of the sulfur amino acid metabolism. The aim of this study was improving Rosy barb (Pethia conchonius) pigmentation. The fish (average weight 32 ± 7 mg and length 12.83 ± 1.82 mm) were divided into five different groups including control (basic diet without taurine and astaxanthin) and four different levels of taurine (0, 100, 250 & 500 mg/kg diet) with constant amount of astaxanthin (100 mg/kg diet) and fed for 60 days. The aim of this study is to develop a parenting program based on the experiences of mothers of children with specific learning disorder (SLD) and assess its effect on parenting stress and children's academic emotions. In the first phase, the "parenting program based on the experiences of mothers with children with specific learning disorder (SLD)" was developed. The second part of the study was semi-experimental pre-test, post-test, follow-up with a control group. Thirty mothers of children with specific learning disorder (SLD) were selected through convenience sampling and divided randomly into the experimental (15 subjects) and control (n = 15) groups. The research instruments were the Parenting Stress Index (PSI) and the Academic Emotions Questionnaire. The parenting program was presented during eight sessions (once a week), and each session lasted for 60 minutes. Data were analyzed by the repeated measure ANOVA and analyzed by the SPSS-23 software. Introduction: Social problems are one of the most prominent features of children with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The present study aims to compare the effectiveness of parental education based on Field’s Verbal Information Model and play therapy based on parent-child interaction on increasing social skills of children with AHDH in Isfahan, Iran.Materials and Methods: This was a randomized controlled trial in which the statistical population consisted of 5 to 6-year old children with ADHD and their mothers in 2018-2019 who were selected via the purposive and convenience sampling method from counseling and psychological services centers. The subjects were randomly divided into two experimental groups and one control group. The Child Symptom Inventory-4 (CSI-4) was employed for screening children and Social Skills Rating System (SSRS; Gresham & Elliott, 1990) for data collection. Data were analyzed using the analysis ofcovariance (ANCOVA) test.Results: The results showed that there was a significant difference in social skills of children with ADHD, between the group of intervention based on verbal information and parent-child interactive play and control group (P = 0.0001). In addition, there was a significant difference between the group of intervention based on field verbal information and interactive play (P = 0.0001). Given the mean scores of social skills, the effect of interactive play was higher than (M = 60.23) interventions based on the Field’s verbal information.Conclusion: The results indicated that both interventions were effective on increasing social skills of children with ADHD. Therefore, the abovementioned methods can be used in counseling and psychological services and parent-child training workshops to enhance the social skills of children with attention ADHD.

Introduction: The ability to read is one of the most critical skills in today’s modern world. Since many people have reading problems, the early and correct diagnosis and effective treatment seem necessary. The present study aims to determine the effectiveness of perceptual enrichment on the self-efficacy in the third grade children suffering from dyslexia in Hamadan, Iran.Materials and Methods: 5o children participated in this randomized controlled clinical trial, all of whom were suffering from dyslexia and studying at the third grade of primary school in the city of Hamadan in the school year 2019-2020. The subjects were selected using the purposive method and randomly divided into the two experimental and control groups. The intervention consisted of 21 sessions. The control group, with the agreement of the child and the parents, did not have any parallel treatment process during the study. In the experimental and control groups, the Motivational Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) was used. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) was used to analyze the data.Results: The results showed that the native pattern of perceptual enrichment had a significant effect on improving self-efficacy in children with dyslexia (P > 0.01).Conclusion: The study findings suggested that the native pattern of perceptual enrichment is effective in improving self-efficacy in the children with dyslexia.

Introduction: The purpose of the present study is to investigate the effect of perceptual-motor training on neuropsychological skills in children with visual impairment.Materials and Methods: A single-case experimental study was conducted on three children (2 boys and 1 girl, aged between 4 and 7 years old) with visual impairment (20/70 and 20/200) who referred to Department of Social Welfare of Isfahan, Iran. The participants were selected through convenience purposive sampling method for the perceptual-motor training. The Language Development Scale, Guzel perceptual-motor Scale, Stanford-Binet scale, and Conner’s Neuropsychological questionnaire were used to collect the data. The multiple baseline design (MBA) was used in the present study, followed by the perceptual-motor intervention. The baseline position for the first, second, and third participants lasted three, five, and seven weeks, respectively, and the intervention duration for each participant was eight weeks as three sessions per week with each session lasting for one hour. Exit of the participants according to their entry into the training program was made in the step by step manner. The data were plotted and then the stability envelope and the trend of all three participants in the baseline and intervention positions were plotted and compared.Results: The perceptual-motor training was effective on neuropsychological skills [percentage of non-overlapping data (PND) = 87.5%] in three participants.Conclusion: The perceptual-motor exercise may be an appropriate training method to improve neuropsychological skills in children with visual impairment.

Selection of appropriate accelerograms for nonlinear dynamic analysis is one of the most important challenges due to their significant influence on the interpretation of analysis results. A rational method for initial refinement of ground motion records with a minimum computational cost is application of refining process based on an optimum intensity measure (IM) which is able to predict the structural responses in a reliable manner. In this research, a list of intensity measures is considered to determine most effective ones from the point of view of effective relation with the dynamic response of the structure. Selected models in this paper includes four two-dimensional (2D) reinforced concrete (RC) structures of 2, 4, 8, 12 and 20 story with special moment-resisting frame (SMRF) system, which are modeled nonlinearly. Collapse capacity of the structures was obtained using the intensity measure spectral acceleration at the first-mode period of structure Sa(T1) and the Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA) under the influence of 40 ground motion records selected from the refined data set to observe the gradual behavior of the structure from the linear stage to collapse. Finally, by establishing a statistical relationship between the dynamic response parameters and 27 intensity measures with the use of Pearson correlation index, the most effective intensity measure that All have an integral form and independent from the period of structure, for each of the selected structures was introduced. By examining the results, it can be said that for the 4 story low-rise structure, the Response Spectrum [Housner] intensity measure and for the 8 and 12 story mid-rise structures, the Housner intensity measure and finally, for the 20 story high-rise structure, the Displacement Response Spectrum intensity measure has the highest correlation among the intensity measures studied.

Introduction: Learning disabilities is one of the neuropsychological disorders that refers to delay and decrease in students' performance in some subjects, such as arithmetic, reading, writing, spelling and speaking, therefore they create a significant gap between students' potential and actual performance. Aim: The aim of this study has been meta-analysis of the effect of psychological nervous interventions on improving academic performance in students with specific learning disabilities. Method: This study has been performed by the meta-analysis method. The statistical population includes dissertations and researches published in scientific-research journals that have been done over the past 10 years (2009-2018) in the field of neuropsychological interventions to improve the academic performance in students with learning disabilities in Iran. Sample size was out of 36 studies which 24 methodologically that they were acceptable and the meta-analysis has been performed on them. The research tool is the meta-analysis checklist. Results: These researches were based on 695 samples and 24 effect sizes. The findings showed, the effect size of the nervous interventions on academic performance improving in students with specific learning disabilities was d =1.58 (p = 0.001). According to Cohen's table this effect size is high. Conclusion: The results indicated that these neuropsychological interventions have had a great effect on improving students' academic performance with specific learning disabilities. Furthermore, it is recommended for the experts to use these interventions on improving academic performance on these students. Moreover, based on different therapeutic approaches, it is important to consider the cultural context in different societies.

Aim and Background: The preschool has a fundamental role in the individual cognitive functions developmental. Therefore, the purpose of this study was the effect of family-centered educational interventions on cognitive functions of children of 3 to 6 years. Methods and Materials: The project’s plan was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest in control group. All of children in 3 to 6 years in Yasuj are the statistical population of this study. For this purpose, were selected 90 children (45 in experimental group and 45 in control group) by multistage random sampling method and were randomly assigned into two groups. The Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI-3) was instrument in this study. After pre-test, 20 sessions of family-centered educational interventions were administered to the experimental group. For data analysis were used SPSS-23. Findings: The statistical results indicated the family-centered educational interventions affected on the cognitive functions children in 3 to 6 years in Yasuj. In other words, there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in terms of verbal, practical, and total subscale (P≥.001). Conclusions: Since family-centered educational interventions have been effective on cognitive functions of children, it is recommended to use this method to improve the cognitive functions of children in 3 to 6 years.

Introduction: Children with cochlear implants, due to previous hearing deprivation, have damages in the areas of neuropsychological skills, including their executive functions. Since the executive functions are linked with a range of skills such as speech, language, communication, and education, this research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of training neuropsychological skills on executive function problems in deaf students with cochlear implants. Materials and Methods: This study was a single-subject research with A-B design. The study population consisted of all deaf children with cochlear implants at the age of 6 to 12 years in Isfahan City, Iran. Among them, 5 were selected using purposive sampling method. The research instrument was the Connors Neuropsychological Questioner. To analyze the obtained data, after drawing the diagrams, we used visual analyses, trending, and stability, as well as percentages of non-overlapping and overlapping data. Results: The mean scores of 5 subjects decreased from 62.47, 58.12, 61.19, 61.46, and 59.61 at the baseline to 48.22, 51.21, 49.30, 49.74, and 50.94 at the end of intervention, respectively. According to the visual analyses of the data diagrams, the intervention was effective on the studied subjects. The percentage of non-overlapping data in the two baseline and intervention situations for the subjects was 90%, 70%, 90%, 100%, and 80%. This effectiveness was observable in the follow-up stage. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, we can judge that training neuropsychological skills reduce executive function problems in deaf students with cochlear implans, and this approach can be used in the training and rehabilitation centers of children with cochlear implants.
