In this report I introduce a history of the paper of Department of the Science of Living of Kyoritsu Women’s Junior College. This paper had been published to notify the educational contents of this department to high school students for 16 years from 1997 to 2013. Through the investigation of this paper, various aspects of the history of this department was pointed out.

[Abstruct]The pictorial technique “frottage” is a technique to render an image by placing a sheet of paper on an object with an uneven surface and rubbing it with a marking agent. People can use various rendering materials, discover a lot of rubbing patterns, and merge the rubbing patterns into their paintings. It leads to dynamic artistic expression. In paper artworks conservation, wet cleaning treatments are usually performed to remove substances other than the original one and to release the adhesive substances for reattach treatment. For this it is important and technical to adjust and control the degree of wetness of the paper. Especially in the case of treatment for damaged paper, the risks of historical artifact being damaged by water and the historically important information being lost increase. The rigid hydrogels of gellan gum, which is a natural polysachalide, can be effectively used to minimize such impact of water on paper. The present study evaluates the analytical study of residues and impact through accelerated ageing on paper samples after wet treatment by means of gellan gum application.The residues of wet treatment by gel of gellan gum, which are potassium, calcium, and acetic acid ions, could be detected from Whatman paper. The pH of both Whatman paper and kozo paper treated with gel tends to be a little higher than that of paper with direct wet treatment. However, when the gel is washed with ultrapure water before gel wet treatment, the residue derived from gellan gum gel is dramatically reduced or not detected. Moreover, pH of the paper treated with washed gel shows almost the same value as paper treated with direct wet treatment as control. It is revealed that washing gel of gellan gum before using it for wet treatment of paper is effective because it does not leave residue derived from the gel. Some kinds of paper samples treated with non-washed gel are influenced in the value of pH, discoloration, and physical strength after hygrothermal ageing. However, when the paper samples are first treated with washed gel their physical characteristics change in the same way as the paper treated with direct water as a control. That is, washing gel is effective in avoiding the negative influence on paper after gel wet treatment.

書写用の紙は2世紀初め洛陽で考案された。その理由を通説はこういう。当時の人びとが重くかさばる不便な竹簡に替わるより便利な書写材を追求した結果，紙が開発された，と。しかし竹簡の不便の表白は紙という便利な書写材を入手して以降の文献に限られる。そもそも竹簡の使用歴は過去千年以上あったにもかかわらず，なぜ2世紀になって新たな書写材が考案されたのか，通説では説明できない。小論は，気候変動による竹材供給の不安定が紙開発の動機であったと考える。竹は高温多湿をこのむ植物である。殷周時代は非常に温暖湿潤で華北でも竹は潤沢に生えていた。しかし六朝時代の小氷期に向かって華北の気候は寒冷乾燥へ変化していった。いきおい中原の竹は衰退していったと推される。竹材は不足がちになり，その状況があらたな書写材の開発をうながしたのではないか。その結論が紙であったと思うのである。

本論文は，図画工作科における材料のうち，教科書題材で用いられる紙に焦点を当てて，それらの活用の仕方やその意義を明らかにしようとしたものである。まず，先行研究を整理し，紙の長所・短所及び材料としての重要性について確認した。学習指導要領での指導内容から紙に関する記述を読み取り，紙の指導内容の変遷について整理を行った。次に，教科書に掲載された題材における材料としての紙の使用について傾向を分析し，各学年で扱われる紙の種類や厚さが変化していること等を明らかにした。授業で取り上げられる材料としての紙は，大量に入手しやすい画用紙が多用される傾向があるなどの特徴を確認できた。これらを踏まえた上で，紙の題材への利用や材料の取り扱いにおける課題を考察していった。

近年のコンピュータ，インターネットの発達により，人々が扱う事のできるデータが膨大になっている．特に，テキストデータはWWWを通じて膨大な量をアクセスすることが可能である．また，Wikipediaのように，質の保証されたテキストデータも出現し，これら多様かつ膨大なテキスト情報から有用な情報を抽出することが重要である．一方，科学分野でも膨大な情報をいかに活用するかは重要な課題である．テキストデータの観点からは，バイオ医学分野のPubMedが著名な例であり，PubMedからの知識抽出などが試みられている．本研究では気象分野を対象に，論文データベース，Wikipedia, WWWを利用した専門語の抽出を行う．専門語の自動抽出は，特定分野のオントロジー構築に利用できるなど，さまざまな応用が期待される．本研究では，特に単語の専門性の指標を導入することにより，専門語の判別を行う．, Recent remarkable development of ICT technologies has made us possible to process huge amount of data. In particular, we can get massive text information though the World-Wide Web. It should be noted that, among such information sources, there have been many Web sites, such as Wikipedia, where high quality information is provided. As a consequence, it has been an important issue how to extract useful information out of such heterogeneous information sources. In the meantime, in many scientific fields, extracting useful information out of massive information resources has been a major challenge. For example, in the biomedical field, PubMed, a well-known bibliographic database, has been used to extract useful knowledge. In this paper we try to extract technical terms out of heterogeneous information sources, such as papers, Wikipedia, and WWW in the meteorological field. Using it as a print advertisement that would trigger operation, assumes that the scene to manipulate the flyer on the digital device that is installed in the store, and to provide them presented using a prototype, the interface including the possibility while maintaining a sence of real.

It is generally recognized that technological innovation drives economical advance, and this process is promoted by scientific findings. However, we know little about how scientific findings assist technological innovation. This paper focuses on collaborations that are conducted by scientists and engineers, and investigated mutual affects between them. Concretely, I created two networks for each semiconductor sector and gene remedy medicine sector by using papers and patents data. Then, I analyzed the networks by random graph models for multiple relations. The analysis is logistic regression analysis and uses network configurations as explanatory variables, and emergence probability of networks as explained variables.

Microbiological deterioration is one of the major causes of the foxing formation. We observed the fluorescence of foxing spots on a series of Japanese paper made in the early Showa period. Brown spots were coincident with fluoresce spots, but the area of fluoresce spots were bigger than that of brown spots under irradiation of black light. We isolated Aspergillus penicilloides from the foxing spot with DG18 plates, and inoculated the fungal strain on sterilized paper (Watman and Japanese kozo paper). Aspergillus penicilloides, which has colorless hyphae, non-brown spores and non-brown metabolite was grown on these paper in 25℃ and Aw 0.85 in two months. These spots fluoresced under the irradiation of black light but were not brown. These facts may show that these foxing spots were not brown at the early stage of the growth of the fungi. On the other hand, Eurotium herbariorum, considered as one of fungi which cause foxing, makes brown hyphae and yellow ascocarps in the same conditions. It is necessary to clarify the conditions that make browning reaction with non-brown fungal body and metabolite of Aspergillus penicilloides.

平成26年度 卒業研究 概要

When the paper is incinerated under the multi oxygen environment: state of the oxidation, cellulose fiber with paper does the combustion as carbon dioxide also under the low degree temperature. On the other hand, when the paper is resolved under the small oxygen environment: state of reduction, cellulose is carbonized. The pyrolysis residue, as for tar, the china clay and Talc, etc. are changed the crystal grain and came to be also different compose chemically with the raw material. Then, authors have been studying the optimum carbonization method of cellulose and the use of the products. In this report, we deal with the result of using the pyrolysis residue to purify the waste fluid.

A new method of detecting the number of moving sheets without contact has been investigated. This paper deals with the development of a method of detecting the number of sheets of paper and cloth. This detecting method utilizes the variations of the phase of the transfer function of the entire acoustic system including the sheets. The impedance of sheets varies with their number. Thus the number of sheets shows good correspondence with the phase of the transfer function of the acoustic system. The experimental result shows that the number of moving paper sheets can be detected without contact, and also the number of sheets of cloth which are sufficiently clumped between the end face of the pipe and a rigid wall can be detected.
