Mass transfer is a basic phenomenon behind many processes like reaction, absorption, extraction etc. Mass transfer plays a significant role in microfluidic systems where the chemical / biological process systems are shrinkened down to a micro scale. Micro reactor system, with its high compatibility and performance, gains a wide interest among the researchers in the recent years. Micro structured reac-tors holds advantages over the conventional types in chemical processes. The significance of micro re-actor not limited to its scalability but to energy efficiency, on-site / on-demand production, reliability, safety, highly controlled outputs, etc. Liquid-liquid two phase reaction in a microreactor system is highly demandable when both reactants are liquids or when air medium cannot be suitable. This arti-cle overviews various liquid-liquid flow regimes in a microchannel. Discussions on the hydrodynamics of flow in micro scale are made. Considering the importance of mass transfer in liquid-liquid systems and the advantage of slug regime over other regimes, the article focuses especially on the mass trans-fer between two liquid phases in slug flow and the details of experimental studies carried out in this area. Background Due to negative consequences associated with binge _watching involving crime thrillers it has become a topic of scientific debate. It has been mediated by biopsychological parameters under the impact of cognitive and affective aspects. Aim To determine the role of Personality traits and Impulsivity in individuals with Crime thrillers Binge-Watching Behaviour. MATERIALS AND METHODS The present cross sectional study has been done through online digital media. The study recruited 160 individuals with administration of information questionnaires to get their demographic details, pattern of crime thrillers series watching, behavioral traits and behavioral impulsivity. Results Crime thrillers binge-watching was reported by 80 participants (50%) with female predominance (52.9%) and a mean age of 25.2(S.D.2.4) years. Crime thrillers binge watching was found to have 6.31 as the mean maximum number of episodes in a single sitting.However,no significant differences were present with regard to demographic profile of crime thrillers binge watchers as compared to crime thrillers non-binge-watchers (p value >.05).Individuals with crime thrillers binge watching were having higher score involving neuroticism and lower score involving openness and agreeableness in comparison to non binge watching of crime thrillers with statistical significance (p value

The researcher partner recommendation system plays a crucial role in fostering academic collaboration in universities, where a challenge for new users is finding suitable research partners. In addressing the limitations of Naïve Bayes classifiers, this article introduces an innovative approach in the form of a non-linear sigmoid activation function. We highlight the urgency of this solution, detail its implementation steps, and describe its substantial contribution to research partner recommendations. This article not only identifies existing obstacles but also proposes revolutionary solutions to enhance the effectiveness of consultation systems in academic environments. A gap in this research is the manual input method for data retrieval, creating weaknesses, susceptibility to human errors, and reduced efficiency in collecting journal data. We propose SPARRING, a researcher recommendation system connected to Google Scholar, in the context of higher education. This approach uses a dataset of faculty members from the Faculty of Information Technology and Business at a private university in Indonesia. The results from Google Scholar extraction, with topic keywords determined by Latent Dirichlet Allocation, are then classified using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. Additionally, we integrate web scraping tools, particularly SerpAPI, to access data from Google Scholar. Through the integration of SerpAPI, the proposed web-based system is capable of providing more accurate recommendations, especially for new users with limited collaboration experience. By incorporating SerpAPI, the proposed web-based system can offer more accurate recommendations, particularly for new users without extensive collaboration experience.

Recent climate change has had a negative impact on a wide range of human and natural systems, and it is clear that humans influence the climate. Because, as anthropogenic influence increases, the heat output from the land surface increases, speeding up the rate of climate change. In this regard, the use of RS and GIS techniques has provided various opportunities for research to examine these changes. The current analysis is based on the Landsat 1989, and 2020. Over the study period of 31 years, the built-up regions increased in size from 44.23 km2 to 154.56 km2. Whereas, the area covered by scrubland, water bodies, and vegetation cover has significantly decreased. The LST study further supports the outcome, showing that the mean and standard deviation increased from 14.81°C±1.32(1989) to 18.82°C±1.57(2020). The study also made an effort to examine how LULC affected LST; while vegetation cover has consistently helped to lower mean LST, built-up areas and scrubland are the main drivers of mean LST rise. The LST and NDBI revealed a positive correlation, while the NDVI/SLOPE and LST showed a negative correlation. Subsequently, the multiple linear regression (MLR) models concluded that the BUAs has evolved into a serious threat to the increase in LST, but increase in vegetation cover and SLOPE would result in slight decrease in LST. the study recommended that the government create policies that restrict future land encroachment and conversion, notably of forested area and water bodies, and make an immediate effort to increase the quantity and quality of urban green cover in the study area. So that we may, respectively, minimize the potential hazard posed by future LST rise and LULC change.

The process of curing fish in Pakarena Hamlet is done simply by using a smoking house with a shelf made of bamboo. The condition of the fumigation house, which is not ergonomic, causes the temperature of the work environment to be very hot and smoky. The smoking process, which lasts about 7 to 8 hours, makes the fish smokers sit for a long time. This condition causes many health problems, including shortness of breath, sore eyes, chest palpitations, and pain in the waist. In addition to health problems, other problems encountered in this business are their low knowledge and skills in managing the business, especially in the aspects of production, marketing, and financial management. The purpose of this community service is to improve the knowledge and health of the mothers of the fish smoking group related to the work environment and ergonomic work attitudes, financial and marketing management, as well as the manufacture of ergonomic smoking houses. The methods used are counseling and making an ergonomic smoking house. The results of the service show an increase in knowledge related to ergonomics and work attitudes as well as marketing strategies and financial management. The fumigation house that is made has a larger and higher capacity, is equipped with adequate air ventilation, and is made of permanent walls so that it can avoid the accumulation of hot smoke and reduce the environmental temperature so as to reduce complaints and shortness of breath.

This study aims to analyze the factors forming the number of poor people in Eastern Indonesia. Panel data regression was utilized as the analysis approach, with a cross-section comprising 12 provinces in Indonesia's Eastern Region from 2010 to 2018. This study will examine the effect of total government spending on education, government spending on health, labor force participation rate, regional minimum wage, investment, and the Gini index on poverty in Eastern Indonesia. The results showed that government spending on health and regional minimum wages had a negative effect on the number of poor people in Eastern Indonesia. The number of poor people in Eastern Indonesia will decrease if the realization of government spending on health and the determination of regional minimum wages increases. The increase in the realization of government spending in the health sector indicates that regional policies on the allocation of health spending have been carried out in a proportional, efficient, and effective manner so that they are right on target. Meanwhile, government expenditure on education, investment, labor force participation rates, and the Gini index has no effect on the number of poor people in Eastern Indonesia.

Some species of flies act as vectors of infectious diseases mainly infectious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Flies can not be completely eradicated but the number can be suppressed to an extent that is not harmful. One way to reduce the number of flies in the environment is by the use of flytraps. The study aims to test the effectiveness of bait variations on the flytrap of blue plastic bottle waste against the number of trapped flies. This research is a quasi-experiment with a posttest-only control design. Measurement of bait variations on the flytrap of blue plastic bottle waste with a flytrap under the chicken coop with a distance between the flytrap of 1 meter. Installing flytrap from 09.00 WITA until 13.00 WITA for 5 days in the same way. The results showed that the number of flies trapped in each flytrap is different. Flytrap with fish gill bait is most effective in attracting flies to be trapped as many as 281 flies and baits that are less favored by flies that are rotten tempeh bait as many as 6 flies for 5 days. Kruskall Wallis test showed that there was a difference in flies trapped in the plastic waste flytrap with variations of fish gill bait, chicken innards, shrimp paste, and rotten tempeh with a p-value of 0.022 < 0.05. This study recommends the use of fish gills in controlling flies both in the home and market environment.

Remote sensing and G.I.S help acquire information on changing land use and land cover (LULC), and it plays a pivotal role in measuring and monitoring such local and global changes. The present analysis has been executed on Landsat 5 TM, 1989 and Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS, 2020 images of Pachhua Dun, including Dehradun & Mussoorie urban agglomeration. The present study aims to detect the land encroachment or area of change; rate of change and monitoring spatio-temporal variation in LULC change between 1989-2020 using change detection technique, supervised maximum likelihood classification, and Overall accuracy & Kappa Coefficient (K) was applied as an accuracy assessment tool. The results derived from the change detection analysis exhibits that the highest growth rate was recorded in built-up areas +247.75% (110 km2) and revealed the annual rate of change of 3.55 km2. or 7.99%, the highest among all LULC class during the overall study period of 31 years. The result also found that among all LULC class, the most significant LULC conversion took place from agricultural land to built-up areas followed by open/scrubland and vegetation/forest cover; approximately 69.9km2 of the area under agricultural land was found to be converted into built-up areas. At the same time, 38.9 km2 area of vegetation/forest cover and 36.3 km2 of the area of open/scrubland have converted into agricultural land. Rising anthropogenic influence and unsustainable land-use practices in the study area have led to a large-scale human encroachment and rapid transformation of the natural landscape into the cultural landscape. This analysis provides the essential long-term Geospatial information related to LULC change for making optimum decision-making process and sustainable land-use planning in the Pachhua Dun-Dehradun District, Uttarakhand, India.

The paper reviews securities regulatory requirements across the world and specifically in India that may be applicable or prohibiting Crowdfunding in India. The author argues that Indian financial and securities services regulations were not designed keeping in mind the 21st century requirements of industry. There is a regulatory gap in recognizing this emerging route of fund-raising business model addressing the needs of start-up as well as the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) businesses by way of crowdfunding and cross-border crowdfunding in the form of equity and debt. Thus, paper is seeking to clarify how crowdfunding fits into existing rules if any and necessity of introducing specific requirements that promote regulatory and supervisory convergence. The aim is to provide appropriate balance of less costly regulatory compliances, prudent risks management for project owners and crowdfunding platforms vis-à-vis raising of funds domestically and through cross-broader. At the same time providing adequate investor protection to the investor who are typically not professional investors.

This article looks at the application of present Indian payment system policies and regulatory model on virtual-currency in India. In fact, simply banning cryptocurrency in India would not serve the purpose of legislature and Reserve Bank of India (RBI); rather it will boost cryptocurrency frauds in India due to absence of any law. The present article analysis shows that there is an ample scope within the present models and policies with necessary amendments to facilitate the regulation of virtual-currency in India. The analysis also suggests new model regulation on cryptocurrency which shall constitute the basic model regulations in India to govern cryptocurrency technology and products. Author uses the Banking Regulation Act as a model, regulating all types of new fintech products such as cryptocurrency, Bitcoin & business activity, its intermediaries, exchanges, customer protection in robust and transparent fashion in India.

Dairy industry is one of the essential global industries with considerably important implications for world economy where the dairy supply chains (DSC) cover every stage of the food system starting from the milk production at farmer level to final consumption. For achieving success in the dairy supply chain, it is needed to focus on critical factors (CFs) that are necessary for an organization to achieve its corporate goals with continually improving the operational performance. In this context, the current study is an attempt to identify the critical factors causing low-productivity in dairy supply chains. After comprehensive literature review and pilot studies in some dairy industries located in northern region of India, a total of 32 critical factors have been identified. A structured questionnaire consisting of 32 CFs have been circulated and the data has been collected from select cooperative dairy units. Further, only eight major critical factors have been carried forward for AHP analysis based on the data collected. The factor having higher weightage score is considered as major CF. The findings of this study indicate that the poor logistics and transportation facilities is the most critical factor as productivity barrier in the context of coop. milk processing units in northern India. This research study would be useful for the dairy professionals & managers of milk processing units to manage their production operations effectively by considering the identified CFs.
