Personality psychology subdivides the narcissism of healthy persons into the grandiose and the vulnerable types (2 factor model), which can be further described in a more differentiated way with the three personality factors extroversion, intolerance/antagonism and neuroticism (3 factor model). The grandiose and the vulnerable types of narcissism can also be found in narcissistically disturbed patients. The narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), which in DSM‑5 is exclusively characterized by the grandiose features also shows vulnerable features; however, these are hidden behind the grandiose features. Grandiose narcissism is relatively rare in the clinical routine. So far vulnerable narcissism could not be diagnosed in DSM‑5 or ICD-10; however, in the future this will be demonstrable in ICD-11 by the dimensional concept of personality disorder even if it does not exist as an official diagnosis in ICD-11. Language disorders are criteria of psychopathology diagnostics listed both in the 10th revision of International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-10) and the Diagnostic and Statistic Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). However, structure and grammar remain understudied in this aspect, which makes structural analysis a relevant research topic. A structural analysis of written narrative may objectivize particular language disorders, thus facilitating psychodiagnostics of different mental disorders. The research objective was to describe the structural features of written narratives obtained from 127 patients with schizophrenic, bipolar, and personality disorders. The narratives were subjected to structural and statistical analyses. Schizophrenic narratives demonstrated a poor vocabulary, a low volume, and a high degree of formality with a passive narrator. Bipolar texts tended to be long, detailed, egocentric, and active, with multiple participles. Patients with personality disorders emotionally relived their memories, producing reflective written narratives with a lot of actors. The final list of written speech indicators to be used to distinguish between schizophrenic, bipolar, and personality disorders included such variables as text volume, verb tense, non-finite verb forms, first-person singular pronoun, number of actors, passive / active narrator, and laconic / detailed narration.

The article describes the application of Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT) in patients with structural disorders within the framework of psychotherapy guidelines. What follows is an overview of the essential theory and technique of transference focused psychotherapy (TFP), a modified psychoanalytic treatment geared to the treatment of individuals with personality disorders, particularly the very severe ones. The TFP is a psychodynamic psychotherapy derived from psychoanalytic principles and techniques and represents an extension of the psychoanalytic model to cover the entire range of severity of personality disorders. Since the 1970s the spectrum of mental disorders has shifted from neurotic conflict pathology to structural disorders of the personality. Sigmund Freud considered such patients to be difficult or impossible to psychoanalyze in his time; however, the further development of psychoanalysis was able to show that modifications of the standard technique also made it possible to treat diseases such as narcissistic personality disorders or borderline personality disorders. This article presents the similarities between the psychoanalytic standard technique and transference-focused psychotherapy as well as the differences between both forms of therapy. This ethnographic work on the cultural behavior of anorexic women in a virtual communication space aimed to demonstrate the use of their verbalizations and images that support the motivations and guidelines of this practice. The methodology of writing from the leading role of this condition and having returned some time later to be able to document it was used. The main finding is a guide exposed in categories where it can be concluded that this pathology behaves as a spiritual cult where communication with ANA is vital, the deity of this practice that has its own symbols and imaginaries, all through a virtual forum. Este trabajo etnográfico sobre el comportamiento cultural de las mujeres anoréxicas en un espacio de comunicación virtual, tuvo como objetivo evidenciar el uso de sus verbalizaciones e imágenes que fundamentan las motivaciones y pautas de esta práctica. Se usó la metodología de escribir desde el protagonismo de este padecimiento y haber regresado tiempo después para poder documentarlo. Como principal hallazgo se presenta una guía expuesta en categorías donde se puede concluir que esta patología se comporta como culto espiritual donde es vital la comunicación con ANA, la deidad de esta práctica que tiene sus propios símbolos e imaginarios, todo a través de un foro virtual.

Personality diagnostics in the context of psychotherapeutic diagnosis and therapy planning is of great importance because the extent of the dysfunction or disorder of the personality has a major impact on the prognosis of the therapy and should definitely be taken into account for therapy planning. Therefore, the behavioral diagnostic system is constantly subjected to empirical evaluation. This study confirmed the good to very good reliability and validity values. The result that women show significantly more dysfunctional personality traits of the cluster C group deserves special attention. The Borderline Personality Disorder is a common mental illness characterized by emotional instability, interactional difficulties, an unstable sense of self and impulsive behaviour which is often self-destructive. Since these problems frequently occur in the doctor-patient relationship, patients might be regarded as "difficult" or even manipulative. This may lead to stigmatization and medical undertreatment when due to common mental and somatic comorbidities the condition requires thorough high-standard medical care. Whereas the core symptoms of BPD are well treatable by specific evidence-based psychotherapy, pharmacological interventions are less effective and should be restricted to crisis management. Through a better understanding of the disorder, proactive communication with all involved care providers and a collaborative doctor-patient relationship providing support and boundaries simultaneously the quality of medical care can be improved with long-lasting effects. From personal experience in psychotherapy and supervision and on the basis of research outcome it is hypothesized that psychotherapy must attain a more complex level of theory and practice conceptualization in order to optimally serve clients. To achieve an effective treatment of psychologically complex problems such as personality disorders and to provide clients with solutions solving highly complex, existentially relevant problems, more elaborate models and strategies should be formulated that also reflect the broad range of psychological research. Psychotherapy on the one hand should develop valid and encompassing models, but should moreover be highly differentiated with a view to taking into account the heterogeneity of clients. For this purpose, it will not be enough to solely rely on »diagnoses«, but therapists should rather establish elaborate models (case conceptions) on the basis of a high degree of expertise and use these to derive therapeutic strategies. A short review on history and definition is followed by the discussion of the correlation between personality disorders and violent crimes in adolescence. According to new scientific findings, it may be appropriate to diagnose personality disorders under certain conditions even before the age of 16 or 17. Several studies demonstrated that the core symptomatology of personality disorders can already be observed earlier in childhood. Three groups of factors contribute to the manifestation of violent behaviour in adolescents: neurobiological factors, psychological and social factors, and situational influences as well as the interaction between these factors. In terms of the Marburg homicide and violent delinquency study it can be demonstrated that young violent offenders reveal a high rate of psychopathological disorders in addition to personality disorders and behavioural disorders. The relationship between personality disorders and homicide is shown by way of two short case vignettes. Finally, prevention and intervention measures are discussed and the overall application of juvenile criminal law to adolescents and 18- to 20-year-olds is recommended whereby the concept of education in juvenile criminal law could be developed towards a concept of intervention. Introduction: The institution of marital consent, which is the efficient cause of marriage and its annulment on the grounds of specified personality disorders. Aim of the study: The research objectives of this study are as follows: determining the proportion of cases on the sole ground of mental incapacity to other grounds of marriage annulment, the number of marriage annulment declarations among clients suffering from personality disorders with a differential diagnosis, age and gender determination of the person requesting marriage annulment – determining the average value and the standard deviation, the duration of marriage until its annulment – determining the average value and the standard deviation, the number of cases in which marriage annulment application is submitted by men and women as well as determining the proportion of cases concluding with the declaration of marriage annulment to those concluding with a negative judgement. In the research part of the study the following analysis has been carried out, personality disorders leading to the marriage annulment, distinguishing between gender, the etiology of particular disorders as well as dysfunctional areas demonstrated by court experts concerning both marital and family life. Material and methods: The analysis of psychological opinions extracted from the marriage annulment cases which were considered and judged by the Bishop’s Court in the Diocese of Toruń. The research period stretches over five years between 2012 and 2016,during which court experts in clinical psychology issued their opinions in 156 cases concerning 82 persons. Conclusions: On the basis of the analysis, the following conclusions can be drawn: the age of applicants requesting marriage annulment: Men – M=37,04; SD=7,90; Women – M=34,98; SD=8,07. Duration of marriage until annulment: – M=13,23; SD=8,24. Marriage annulment requests were submitted by 62 men and 94 women. Marriage was declared null and void in 122 cases whereas the negative judgment concerned 36 cases. The conclusions drawn indicate that the predominant disorders resulting in marriage annulment included antisocial personality disorder, narcissistic personality disorder as well as dependent personality disorder (DPD). The conclusions drawn clearly show that the predominant disorder resulting in the invalidation of marriage is antisocial personality disorder, closely followed by narcissistic personality disorder and finally by dependent personality disorder. Out of 189 cases processed by the court within the period of five years, 156 of them concern mental incapacities whereas the remaining ones concern other cases of marriage annulment.
