Głównym celem artykułu jest ukazanie postrzegania dzieci - uczniów i ich potrzeb przez nauczycielki szkół podstawowych. Problemem badawczym jest pytanie dotyczące ujawnionego w świetle nauczycielskich narracji postrzegania dziecka – ucznia i jego potrzeb. Materiał badawczy zgromadzono drogą wywiadów swobodnych o charakterze jakościowym. Wywód rozpoczęto przedstawieniem wybranych ustaleń teoretycznych Janusza Korczaka. W dalszej kolejności ukazano postrzeganie dziecka – ucznia i jego potrzeb przez badane nauczycielki. Analizy wypowiedzi badanych nauczycielek ujawniły, że postrzegają one dzieci - uczniów jako obiekty do formowania i podtrzymują hierarchicznych układ nauczyciel – uczeń. Realizując potrzebę ciągłej kontroli, zewnętrznego stymulowania i ograniczając swobodę swoich podopiecznych, pozostają z dala od demokratycznej i rozwojowej wizji oddziaływań szkolnych oraz od korczakowskiego systemu antyautorytarnych oddziaływań. Mając na uwadze potrzebę praktyk nauczycielskich zgodnych z ideami humanizmu oraz poglądami Janusza Korczaka, warto w kształceniu nauczycieli (w trakcie studiów) i ich dokształcaniu (na kursach itp.) upowszechnić i zintensyfikować dbałość o rozwój ich osobowości, wspieranie samowiedzy, świadomości posiadanych doświadczeń i wzorców oraz konstruowanych na ich podstawie działań. W dalszej kolejności wzmacniać ich zdolności do przemyśliwania, projektowania i działania zgodnego ze współczesną myślą pedagogiczną zorientowaną na dziecko jako osobę aktywnie angażującą się w świat.

CEL NAUKOWY: Głównym celem jest ukazanie źródeł i obszarów deficytu satysfakcji z pracy badanych nauczycielek. PROBLEM I METODY BADAWCZE: Problemem badawczym jest pytanie dotyczące ujawnio- nych w narracjach źródeł satysfakcji zawodowej badanych nauczycielek oraz obszarów jej braku. Do zgromadzenia materiału analitycznego posłużył wywiad swobodny o charakterze jakościowym. PROCES WYWODU: Wywód rozpoczęto przedstawieniem wyników badań popierających tezę o wadze kategorii satysfakcji między innymi dla zaangażowania człowieka w wykonywanie zawodowej profesji. Następnie omówiono istotę oraz czynniki warunkujące omawiane zjawisko. W świetle analizy zgromadzonego materiału badawczego ukazano źródła satysfakcji zawodowej badanych nauczycielek oraz obszary jej deficytu. WYNIKI ANALIZY NAUKOWEJ: Analiza wypowiedzi rozmówczyń ujawniła, że głównie czerpią one satysfakcję zawodową z wysokiej oceny ich pracy wystawianej przez inne osoby. Szczególnie zadowolone są z uzyskiwania przez uczniów dobrych miejsc w olimpiadach lub w konkursach czy ze zdania przez nich egzaminów zewnętrznych z wysokimi wynikami, co spotyka się z dużą aprobatą ich zwierzchników. Naczelnym obszarem deficytu zawodowej satysfakcji okazały się złe relacje ze współpracownikami (z innymi nauczycielami i dyrektorami) oraz trudne z rodzicami uczniów. WNIOSKI, INNOWACJE, REKOMENDACJE: Uznając wagę relacji interpersonalnych dla odczuwania satysfakcji z wykonywania profesji, należałoby szczególnie zadbać o nauczycielskie umiejętności ich właściwego budowania. Zadanie wspierania tego rodzaju kompetencji stoi nie tylko przed samymi nauczycielami, ale przed osobami kierującymi i zarządzającymi szkołami. Warto również ich kształtowanie uwzględnić w przygotowywaniu osób do wykonywania tej profesji (głównie w toku studiów).

The article includes a theoretical and practical proposal for perceiving and treating material and discursive remains of using chemical weapons – wherever they still exist – as stimuli for reflection on weapons of mass destruction and as warnings. Based on the specific example of the outcomes of the archaeological and historical research conducted in the historic battlefield – the section of the Eastern Front between Sochaczew in the north and Skierniewice in the south, the following more general appeals have been formulated: – for inalienability of collecting, systematizing and interpreting source information and studies that could together make up a real and digital repository of knowledge on material and discursive remains of historical uses of chemical weapons (CW) and potentially further on of weapons of mass destruction (WMD); – for documenting, digitalising and protecting in situ remains of the past that, despite representing a challenge for contemporary people, constitute a part of important, however difficult, transnational painful heritage; – for undertaking more intense, systematic and coordinated activities to disseminate knowledge about past use of CW and about the mission and activities of individuals and organisations involved in the process of minimizing the threats of weapons of mass destruction in the modern world (such as the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons – OPCW). It is worth exploration, as well as documentation and protection (with the aid of archaeology, history, memory studies, ethnology, landscape studies, educational studies – especially on Peace Education, tourism studies etc.) e.g. by means of transdyscyplinary research and working on establishing real and virtual repositories of knowledge on CW, OPCW, outreach, education on transnational painful heritage, reflective cultural tourism, attentive travel etc. The historical gasscapes (landscape marked with gas attacks) – such as an element of the landscape of today’s central Poland, sketched in this article, that bore witness to the very first mass use of gas shells in January 1915, as well as wave attacks with poisonous chlorine (possibly combined with phosgene) in the battlefield, has been presented as particularly predestined to serve as a symbols of CW painful heritage, triggers for reflection on BMR and carriers of even though weaker and disappearing living memories. Additionally, the attention was drawn to the fact that certain activities aimed at documenting, consolidating, systematizing and disseminating knowledge about the experiences related to CW (or more broadly, WMD) should be undertaken immediately. Some disappearing material remains prove it. The area (in present days Poland) of a former battlefield, where the army of the German Empire repeatedly used chemical weapons in 1915, still conceals the bodies of – until recently – almost completely forgotten victims of CW. Hence the emphasis put on the significance of that area and other similar places as destinations for attentive travel (real and virtual) following evocative remains will not leave us indifferent and uninterested.

The first archaeological season of the Early Makuria Research Project at Tanqasi, which encompassed the exploration of five tombs in different parts of the extensive tumulus field (16, 23, 46, 52, and 179), yielded an assemblage of pottery vessels, as well as a metal bowl. The material dates from the late Meroitic, post-Meroitic and early Makurian periods.

Autorka analizuje księgozbiór Jakuba Henryka Flemminga (1667-1728) – zaufanego doradcy saskiego króla Polski Augusta II Mocnego – na podstawie zachowanego w Bibliotece Uniwersyteckiej w Warszawie rękopisu „Catahalogus Bibliothecae Flemmingae” z początku XVIII w. „Biblioteka Flemmingowska” po śmierci właściciela uległa rozproszeniu – duża jej część znalazła się w Bibliotece Ordynacji Nieświeskiej Radziwiłłów. Po pierwszym rozbiorze Polski w 1772 r. podzieliła los zbiorów Radziwiłłów z Nieświeża, tzn. została wywieziona do Petersburga w Rosji i tam rozproszona między różne książnice. W tej sytuacji podstawą identyfikacji i charakterystyki poloników w kolekcji J.H. Flemminga stał się wspomniany „Catahalogus…” opatrzony herbem i ekslibrisem Radziwiłłów z Nieświeża. Katalog zawiera opisy 2310 książek ujęte w kilkunastu działach rzeczowych. Polonika (dzieła wydane w Polsce, polskich autorów, w języku polskim i o Polsce) zidentyfikowane przez Autorkę w tym katalogu były nieliczne – obejmowały sto kilka książek, głównie o treści historycznej i teologicznej, w tym tylko jedną książkę w języku polskim. Autorka stwierdza zatem, że Flemming nie mógł poznać za pośrednictwem swoich książek w dostatecznym stopniu dorobku polskiej kultury i nauki.

Circe is associated first of all with the episode narrated in the 10th book of the Odyssey, in which she turns Odysseus’s crewmen into pigs using her herbal pharmaka. Odysseus survives due to divine help, his inborn cleverness, and the miraculous herb moly. The fairy-tale theme of the spells of Circe, clearly showing its folk provenance, got entrenched in ancient literature: featured most often in poems of playful content, Circe symbolized the power to subjugate male souls and bodies. From the Hellenistic era to the Byzantine times, however, Circe is mentioned in scholarly works – in the context of the history of Roman Italy. The aim of the present article is, first of all, to analyse the Greek-language source texts and show the ways in which ancient authors managed to connect a character from a folk fairy tale – intrinsically different in form and not identifiable with any heroic myth – with the prehistory of Roman Italy, and even place her among the ancestors of Rome. The considerations also allow us to identify some of the mechanisms of the creation and functioning of the legend as a cultural phenomenon of the ancient world.

Artykuł analizuje trzy spektakle Oskarasa Koršunovasa zrealizowane z jego własnym zespołem OKT: Hamleta (2008), Na dnie (2010) i Mirandę (2011). Realizacje klasycznych dramatów prezentują szereg reżyserskich rozwiązań – zarówno poszczególnych scen, jak i całych wątków – świadczących o oryginalnej interpretacji, wywiedzionej z własnych przeżyć bądź doświadczeń litewskiego społeczeństwa. Pozostają jednak zaskakująco lojalne wobec problemów, jakie poruszali klasyczni autorzy. Koršunovas należy – obok Ostermeiera, Warlikowskiego czy Jarzyny – do pokolenia reżyserów, którzy po 1989 roku walczyli o nowy język teatralnej wypowiedzi. Litwin okazał się także odporny na mody i ideologie nowego świata. To artysta świadomie nawiązujący do dramatycznej historii, ale i do rudymentów europejskiej cywilizacji.

The article presents new material excavated during the last season, discusses production technology and surface treatment. Recently excavated material from el-Zuma throws new light on pottery production and its typology, necessitating thus a reexamination of the already known vessel types. Some types of pottery, discovered in 2017, although known from other tumuli excavated in previous seasons and already published in general reports, still need to be reexamined. New types of vessels have also been identified.

Burial structures and the assemblages found inside them at the site of el-Detti, about 13 km downstream from Karima and 7 km upstream from el-Zuma, were explored in 2014 and 2015 by a joint team from the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology University of Warsaw and the National Corporation for Antiquities and Museums of Sudan. The aim was to enable comparison with the excavated burials at el-Zuma, a nearby tumuli field explored by the Early Makuria Research Project in recent years. Special attention was paid to metal artifacts from the tombs (studied in the appendix), which contribute to a better understanding of the local social and cultural traditions. The focus of the Early Makuria Research Project on examining the mortuary customs at el-Detti has helped to identify the burial practices of Early Makurian society and to trace the spread of Early Makurian society over time.

Continuing excavation in the tumuli field in el-Zuma has yielded an extensive pottery assemblage, adding to the material that has already been published in general reports. New types and variants of vessels have been identified. The article presents the new material and discusses production technologies, surface treatment and peculiarities of usage.

Artykuł przedstawia najważniejsze cechy dyskursu Artura Hutnikiewicza w jego pracach o twórczości Stefana Żeromskiego. Mój wywód oparłam na pierwszym zdaniu z monografii uczonego Żeromski: „Książka, którą się tu przedstawia czytelnikowi, jest próbą syntetycznego opisu zjawiska literackiego o nazwisku »Żeromski«”. Analiza poszczególnych sekwencji tego zdania, wzmocniona bogatą egzemplifikacją z różnych prac Hutnikiewicza, pozwoliła określić zarówno najważniejsze cechy pisarstwa Żeromskiego w jego ujęciu, jak i wskazać najbardziej charakterystyczne elementy stylu wybitnego badacza, a także wyakcentować rangę wybranej przez niego metodologii (ujęcie syntetyczne).

Plant diseases cause agricultural and economic loss and impact negatively on human and animal health through mycotoxins and allergens produced by them. They also have consequences for biodiversity conservation. The pathogens could be classified in five categories: new - detected within the last five years; emerging - have always been present in an area but have grown in importance over the years; re-emerging - have been previously controlled but are once more a major problem associated with chemical resistance or changes in management or cultivars; threatening - not reported or limited in distribution in Europe and chronic-spreading – known for longer than 20 years and causing increased concern. Diseases emerge or re-emerge due to changes in farming practices, development of new strains of the pathogen, climate change, introduction of the pathogen to new geographical locations, or introduction of more efficient pathogen vectors. During the last years emerging infectious diseases (EIDs) are of special concern to researchers. Among all pathogens fungi are responsible for the greatest damage to plants in both agricultural and natural ecosystems. They represent over 70 % of all plant pathogens and over 30 % of plant EIDs. Surveys on fungal diseases of medicinal and aromatic plants have been carried out in the framework of several research projects between Germany, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Poland in the last two decades. EIDs have been reported, either as novel pathogens or as familiar pathogens affecting new host species. The importance of the problem could be illustrated by such examples as some phytopathogenic fungi on Apiaceae and Lamiaceae hosts discussed in the present work.

This article discusses the relatively unknown poetry of Bessarion, the future Cardinal. The author argues with a negative opinion of F. M. Pontani concerning the three epicedia on the death of Theodora Comnena. The author analyses the composition, artistic means of expression and intertextual links in order to revise the common opinion in the subject and to prove the presence of literary values in the mentioned poems.

Kyōgen jest jedną z form japońskiego teatru. Jest realistyczny i komiczny, dlatego bywa nazywany farsą. Kształtował się wraz z teatrem nō, którego sztuki, przeciwnie, często są nierealistycznei tragiczne, choć zakończone katharsis. Sztuki kyōgen są stosunkowo krótkie i od wieków były wystawiane jako interludia pomiędzy dramatami nō, co przynosiło rozładowanie napięcia.Poniższe przekłady sztuk "Siewki" (Chidori) i "Bóg Szczęścia" (Fuku no kami) to pierwsze wydane drukiem przekłady sztuk kyōgen w Polsce.

Believers are those who by the power of baptism were incorporated into Jesus Christ and established as People of God. Because of baptism they take part in clerical, prophetic and kings’ mission of Jesus. Each believer is obliged to serve this triple duty accordingly to the vocation given by God. There are two Codex states of life in Church: clerical and secular. Theology describes also a third group: consecrated one. Regardless of their state of life, all believers are equal in terms of dignity and deeds. However, the aforementioned rule of equality should be complemented by the rule of diversity. According to this rule, rights and duties of believers are dependent on their role in Church. Both rules are strictly correlated which leads to conclusion that capability of men to receive holy orders is directly derived from the rule of diversity. Whether their role is clerical, secular or consecrated, all believers are bound to aspire to sanctity. Dogmatic Constitution about Church Lumen gentium describes in details what this obligation for sanctity aspiration means.

Jean-Claude Gardin has an important place in the history of archaeology as the creator of the concept of logicism. This was the effect of his reflections on the epistemological and social implications of archaeology. Gardin showed that through the investigation of the nature of the interpretations employed by archaeologists and the manner in which they are confronted with the use of empirical observations supplied by the use of the social sciences, it will be possible to overcome the epistemelogical constrictions on archaeological reasoning and create conditions for the publication of results of inves¬tigations through the medium of the Wordwide Web. A prototype of this manner of thinking was the project ARKEOTEK which is still in development
