This article examines equity market perceptions of fair value reporting for tangible assets. We identify six events—four designated as increasing, two as decreasing—affecting the likelihood of U.S. adoption of fair value reporting for investment property (i.e., real estate) assets, one of the largest asset classes in the world. Fair value adoption in the United States would facilitate convergence of one of the widest remaining disparities between U.S. reporting and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS): accounting for tangible investment property assets, where the United States (IFRS) requires depreciated historical cost (recognized or disclosed fair values). Using a sample of U.S. investment property firms, we document an average positive market reaction for movement toward fair value reporting. We further find predictable cross-sectional variation, with the market reaction increasing for firms with greater commitment to high-quality reporting, greater investor demand for fair values, higher financial risk, and staler asset values. Overall, the results are consistent with U.S. equity markets perceiving net benefits to movement toward a fair value reporting approach for this asset class. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, we first develop the modified gradient‐based iterative (MGI) method for the complex conjugate and transpose matrix equations A1XB1+A2X‾B2+A3XTB3+A4XHB4=E$$ {A}_1X{B}_1+{A}_2\overline{X}{B}_2+{A}_3{X}^T{B}_3+{A}_4{X}^H{B}_4=E $$. By adopting the updated technique, we can make full use of the latest information to compute the next result, which leads to a faster convergence rate. In theory, we apply the real representation of a complex matrix and the vec‐operator to prove the convergence properties. Furthermore, we extend the MGI algorithm to solve the generalized complex conjugate and transpose matrix equations. Then, the necessary and sufficient conditions for convergence of the MGI algorithm are presented. Lastly, three numerical examples are introduced to testify the efficiency of our methods. In this paper, we study the convergence of adaptive mixed interior penalty discontinuous Galerkin method for H (c u r l) -elliptic problems. We first get the mixed model of H (c u r l) -elliptic problem by introducing a new intermediate variable. Then we discuss the continuous variational problem and discrete variational problem, which based on interior penalty discontinuous Galerkin approximation. Next, we construct the corresponding posteriori error indicator, and prove the contraction of the summation of the energy error and the scaled error indicator. Sylvester matrix equations play important roles in control and system theory. We consider a class of the generalized coupled Sylvester quaternion matrix equations, which includes a lot of special matrix equations such as Stein matrix equation, Lyapunov matrix equation and Sylvester matrix equation on the quaternion skew field. First, the quaternion Krylov subspace and its F-orthogonal basis are constructed via a new quaternion matrix product and the global quaternion Arnoldi process. Then a global quaternion generalized minimal residual (Gl-QGMRES) method is proposed for solving the generalized coupled Sylvester quaternion matrix equations. The convergence of the proposed method is theoretically analysed. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposal are verified by some numerical experiments. The novelty of this contribution is to propose an implicit numerical scheme for solving time-dependent boundary layer problems. The scheme is multi-step and consists of two stages. It is third-order accurate in time and constructed on three-time levels. For spatial discretization, a fourth-order compact scheme is adopted. The stability of the proposed scheme is analyzed for scalar linear partial differential equation (PDE) that shows its conditional stability. The convergence of the scheme is also provided for a system of time-dependent parabolic equations. Moreover, a mathematical model for heat and mass transfer of mixed convective Williamson nanofluid flow over flat and oscillatory sheets is modified with the characteristic of the Darcy–Forchheimer model. The results show that the temperature profile rises by developing thermophoresis and Brownian motion parameter values. Also, the proposed scheme is compared with an existing Crank–Nicolson method. It is found that the proposed scheme converges faster than the existing one for solving scalar linear PDE as well as the system of linear and nonlinear parabolic equations, which are dimensionless forms of governing equations of a flow phenomenon. Euthynnus alletteratus, a crucial commercial resource for West African states in the Northeast Atlantic Ocean (ATNE), is of high research priority in the Atlantic Ocean, but its stock assessment is limited. This study aimed to explore the implications of integrating length, catch and abundance indices on the status of ATNE stock using the LIME model. We innovatively developed time series of abundance indices using tuna purse seine catches and efforts obtained from separate ICCAT datasets, alongside length-frequencies. The scenarios (S) S1 (length-only), S2 (length + catch + abundance), S3 (length + catch), and S4 (length + abundance) were considered. We observed that S1–S3 did not converge in LIME, except for S4. The stock's spawning potential ratio and mean length were below the target (SPR< 40%) and 95% maturity length (M95), respectively. By implication, the lack of convergence in S1–S3 portrayed data conflicts, which were mitigated by the abundance index in S4. A mean length above M95 is recommended when evaluating the stock using the length-only option in LIME. The stock was unsustainable, requiring management measures. Integrating the abundance index with length improved the performance of LIME for the stock, which estimate could be replicated for other species' assessments. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this article, a new numerical algorithm for solving a 1-dimensional (1D) and 2-dimensional (2D) time-fractional diffusion equation is proposed. The Sinc-Galerkin scheme is considered for spatial discretization, and a higher-order finite difference formula is considered for temporal discretization. The convergence behavior of the methods is analyzed, and the error bounds are provided. The main objective of this paper is to propose the error bounds for 2D problems by using the Sinc-Galerkin method. The proposed method in terms of convergence is studied by using the characteristics of the Sinc function in detail with optimal rates of exponential convergence for 2D problems. This paper explores an inverse problem pertaining to the determination of a source function in non‐divergence parabolic equations, where the solution is known at a discrete set of points. Being different from other ordinary inverse source problems, which are often dependent on only one variable, the unknown coefficient in this paper not only depends on the space variable x$$ x $$ but also depends on the time t$$ t $$. On the basis of the optimal control framework, the existence of the optimal solution of the control function is proved. The necessary conditions to be satisfied by the optimal solution are given. The convergence of the optimal solution when the mesh parameters tend to zero is obtained. Summary The study of antibodies in jawed vertebrates (gnathostomes) provides every immunologist with a bird's eye view of how human immunoglobulins (Igs) came into existence and subsequently evolved into their present forms. It is a fascinating Darwinian history of conservation on the one hand and flexibility on the other, exemplified by the Ig heavy chain (H) isotypes IgM and IgD/W, respectively. The cartilaginous fish (e.g., sharks) Igs provide a glimpse of “how everything got off the ground,” while the amphibians (e.g., the model Xenopus) reveal how the adaptive immune system made an about face with the emergence of Ig isotype switching and IgG‐like structure/function. The evolution of mucosal Igs is a captivating account of malleability, convergence, and conservation, and a call to arms for future study! In between there are spellbinding chronicles of antibody evolution in each class of vertebrates and rather incredible stories of how antibodies can adapt to occupy niches, for example, single‐domain variable regions, cold‐adapted Igs, convergent mechanisms to dampen antibody function, provision of mucosal defense, and many more. A two-level data set can be structured in either long format (LF) or wide format (WF), and both have corresponding SEM approaches for estimating multilevel models. Intuitively, one might expect these approaches to perform similarly. However, the two data formats yield data matrices with different numbers of columns and rows, and their cols : rows is related to the magnitude of eigenvalue bias in sample covariance matrices. Previous studies have shown similar performance for both approaches, but they were limited to settings where cols ≪ rows in both data formats. We conducted a Monte Carlo study to investigate whether varying cols : rows result in differing performances. Specifically, we examined the p : N ( cols : rows ) effect on convergence and estimation accuracy in multilevel settings. Our findings suggest that (1) the LF approach is more likely to achieve convergence, but for the models that converged in both, (2) the LF and WF approach yield similar estimation accuracy, which is related to (3) differential cols : rows effects in both approaches, and (4) smaller ICC values lead to less accurate between-group parameter estimates. Big socio‐economic well‐being gap is common across countries and regions. This study examines the impact of tourism on socio‐economic well‐being and its convergence from a comprehensive and inter‐regional convergence perspective. Using panel data of 291 cities during the period 2005–2019, we provide the comprehensive evaluation of socio‐economic well‐being at the city scale in China. Considering the dynamic characteristics of socio‐economic well‐being, we therefore estimate the impact using the system generalized method of moments. The result indicates that tourism significantly enhances local socio‐economic well‐being and is found to be robust. We also find the dominance of domestic tourism, the positive moderator effects of general budget expenditure, GDP per capita and urbanization, and a greater driving force in cities with higher socio‐economic well‐being. Since both β‐ and σ‐convergence hold, we confirm the positive effect of tourism on the convergence of inter‐regional socio‐economic well‐being. We emphasize policies support for tourism development in underdeveloped regions through fiscal expenditure, financial transfer payments, intellectual support, urbanization, and infrastructure construction. We suggest incorporating tourism into frameworks such as rural revitalization and regional coordinated development. We also recommend accelerating the expansion of tourism in underdeveloped regions and enhancing the quality of tourism in developed regions as spatial strategies, while emphasizing inter‐regional tourism coordination and cooperation. Novelty search is a powerful tool for finding diverse sets of objects in complicated spaces. Recent experiments on simplified versions of novelty search introduce the idea that novelty search happens at the level of the archive space, rather than individual points. The sparseness measure and archive update criterion create a process that is driven by a two measures: (1) spread out to cover the space while trying to remain as efficiently packed as possible, and (2) metrics inspired by k nearest neighbor theory. In this paper, we generalize previous simplifications of novelty search to include traditional population (μ , λ) dynamics for generating new search points, where the population and the archive are updated separately. We provide some theoretical guidance regarding balancing mutation and sparseness criteria and introduce the concept of saturation as a way of talking about fully covered spaces. We show empirically that claims that novelty search is inherently objectiveless are incorrect. We leverage the understanding of novelty search as an optimizer of archive coverage, suggest several ways to improve the search, and demonstrate one simple improvement—generating some new points directly from the archive rather than the parent population. We present a simple yet efficient two-stage extended Kaczmarz-type algorithm for solving large least squares problem. During each stage, the current iterate is projected onto a surrogate hyperplane instead of a single one, yielding remarkable reduction in the number of iteration steps and computational time. We prove that the proposed algorithm converges to the unique least-norm least-squares solution with a convergence factor asymptotically smaller than that for some existing randomized extended Kaczmarz-type algorithms. In this paper we propose and analyze the alternating direction implicit (ADI) difference schemes in conjunction with the second order backward differentiation formula (BDF2) method with variable time step sizes for solving the two-dimensional parabolic equation. The spatial compact operators are also applied to construct high order ADI scheme. By using the discrete energy method and the positive definiteness of the nonuniform BDF2 approximation, we prove the unconditional H 1 semi-norm stability for the variable-step BDF2-ADI scheme and the variable-step compact BDF2-ADI scheme under the constraint r n ≤ 4.8 , where r n denotes the adjacent step size ratio. Moreover, the optimal second order and the fourth order convergence rates are derived rigorously under this restriction. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first strict theoretical analysis of the variable-step ADI numerical schemes for the multidimensional parabolic equations. Several numerical examples are included to verify the analysis results. The extension to the nonlinear Allen-Cahn equation is also presented, for which the variable-step BDF2-ADI scheme and the corresponding compact scheme combined with the adaptive time-stepping algorithm improve the efficiency of the long time simulation. This article compared two high-order numerical schemes for convection-diffusion delay differential equation via two fractional operators with singular kernels. The objective is to present two effective schemes that give (3 - α) and second order of accuracy in the time direction when α ∈ (0 , 1) using Caputo and Modified Atangana-Baleanu Caputo derivatives, respectively. We also implemented a trigonometric spline technique in the space direction, giving second order of accuracy. Moreover, meticulous analysis shows these numerical schemes to be unconditionally stable and convergent. The efficiency and reliability of these schemes are illustrated by numerical experiments. The gross encephalic morphology of representatives from 17 genera within the Geophagini tribe is comprehensively characterized, compared, and analyzed into a previously proposed phylogenetic hypothesis. Our morphological investigation highlights the prominence of the visual center within the cichlid encephalon. Notably, constrained phylogenetic analysis reveals probable convergent adaptations in two genera, Cichla and Saxatilia, characterized by diminutive gustatory lobes. In contrast, Retroculus, known for its sediment-shifting habits among Geophagini species, exhibits well-developed gustatory lobes. Previous research has established that species engaging in sediment sifting exhibit modifications in their pharyngeal apparatus and frequently adopt benthivorous feeding strategies, features that appear to be orchestrated by the gustative center in the encephalon. Furthermore, our findings underscore a putative relationship between encephalon morphology and factors such as feeding behavior, environmental conditions (including turbidity and depth), and their association with the studied cichlid species. The neuroanatomical characters proposed in this study hold promise as valuable phylogenetic markers for future analyses and contribute to our understanding of the complex interplay between neuroanatomy, behavior, and ecology within this diverse group of cichlids. Global inequality is made up of two components: inequality within countries and between countries. Over the last two centuries, the second component has strongly shaped global inequality. However, little is known about its evolution over time, and nothing at all about inequality in energy use and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This article presents a comprehensive reconstruction of international divergence and convergence from the side of energy consumption and CO 2 emissions over two centuries. From 1820 to 1919, inequality between countries increased and so did inequality in GHG emissions. This increase was followed by ups and downs until the 1970s, when a decline of international inequality began. Convergence in both energy consumption and GHG emissions accelerated after 2000. We study the behavior of solutions of the Cauchy problem for a semilinear heat equation with critical nonlinearity in the sense of Joseph and Lundgren. It is known that if two solutions are initially close enough near the spatial infinity, then these solutions approach each other. In this paper, we give its optimal and sharp convergence rate of solutions with a critical exponent and two exponentially approaching initial data. This rate contains a logarithmic term which does not contain in the super critical nonlinearity case. Proofs are given by a comparison method based on matched asymptotic expansion. In this study, based on measuring green innovation efficiency (GIE), the regional differences, distribution dynamics and convergences of GIE among 284 Chinese cities from 2005 to 2020 were investigated. It was found that: (1) the GIE showed a decreasing regional difference within and between the eight economic zones and among the whole sample population, with the intensity of transvariation making the major contribution to the differences; (2) the GIE across the country and the eight economic zones appeared to rise slowly, showing a certain level of polarization within the zones, but the gap and polarization tended to narrow gradually on the whole, except for the Northwest Economic Zone; (3) the GIE across the country and among the eight economic zones presented prominent convergences. A greedy block extended Kaczmarz method is introduced for solving the least squares problem where the greedy rule combines the maximum-distances with relaxation parameters. In order to save the computational cost of Moore–Penrose inverse, an average projection technique is used. The convergence theory of the greedy block extended Kaczmarz method is established and an upper bound for the convergence rate is also derived. Numerical experiments show that the proposed method is efficient and better than the randomized block extended Kaczmarz methods in terms of the number of iteration steps and computational time. Whether the forelimb‐digging apparatus of tooth‐digging subterranean mammals has similar levels of specialization as compared to scratch‐diggers is still unknown. We assessed the scapular morphology and forelimb musculature of all four solitary African mole rats (Bathyergidae): two scratch‐diggers, Bathyergus suillus and Bathyergus janetta, and two chisel‐tooth diggers, Heliophobius argenteocinereus and Georychus capensis. Remarkable differences were detected: Bathyergus have more robust neck, shoulder, and forearm muscles as compared to the other genera. Some muscles in Bathyergus were also fused and often showing wider attachment areas to bones, which correlate well with its more robust and larger scapula, and its wider and medially oriented olecranon. This suggests that shoulder, elbow, and wrist work in synergy in Bathyergus for generating greater out‐forces and that the scapula and proximal ulna play fundamental roles as pivots to maximize and accommodate specialized muscles for better (i) glenohumeral and scapular stabilization, (ii) powerful shoulder flexion, (iii) extension of the elbow and (iv) flexion of the manus and digits. Moreover, although all bathyergids showed a similar set of muscles, Heliophobius lacked the m. tensor fasciae antebrachii (aiding with elbow extension and humeral retraction), and Heliophobius and Georychus lacked the m. articularis humeri (aiding with humeral adduction), indicating deeper morphogenetic differences among digging groups and suggesting a relatively less specialized scratch‐digging ability. Nevertheless, Heliophobius and Bathyergus shared some similar adaptations allowing scratch‐digging. Our results provide new information about the morphological divergence within this family associated with the specialization to distinct functions and digging behaviors, thus contributing to understand the mosaic of adaptations emerging in phylogenetically and ecologically closer subterranean taxa. This and previous anatomical studies on the Bathyergidae will provide researchers with a substantial basis on the form and function of the musculoskeletal system for future kinematic investigations of digging behavior, as well as to define potential indicators of scratch‐digging ability. This study sought to ascertain the existence of convergence in environmental taxation among EU countries. By employing the sequential panel selection method and the panel KSS unit root test, it is demonstrated that the environmental taxation sequences in Luxembourg, Germany, Spain, France, and Cyprus diverge, while those of the remaining 22 countries converge. Similarly, the energy tax sequences of Croatia, Spain, Germany, and France are unstable, indicating divergence, while the remaining 23 countries exhibit significant convergence. Finally, transport taxes show a convergent trend across all EU countries. The convergence of environmental taxation can be explained by the catch-up and spatial spillover effects, and the non-convergence of a few EU countries is attributed to their minimal implementation of environmental goals. This study examines the evolving convergence of bank cost efficiency in ASEAN from 1994 to 2022, focusing on the determinants influencing this trend during distinct periods. We aim to unravel the progression of convergence drivers and their policy implications. We employ the true fixed effect stochastic frontier approach (SFA) to estimate bank cost efficiency and identify a movement toward uniform efficiency across ASEAN banks using β-convergence and σ-convergence analyses. By examining conditional β-convergence in various sub-periods, we found that the initial convergence (1994–2000) was driven by economic growth and regulation, particularly aiding less developed economies. Post-crisis (2001–2009), banks in wealthier countries led efficiency gains, albeit with growing barriers from market concentration and regulatory intensity. As the sector matured (2010–2015), traditional drivers like GDP growth and regulation attenuated in influence, while bank size and national wealth supported further convergence. In the latest phase (2016–2022), traditional convergence drivers waned, signalling a shift in the banking landscape shaped by potential new factors such as fintech and consumer behaviour changes. The evolving nature of these determinants highlights the need for ASEAN banking policies to adapt proactively. Policymakers should consider flexible, forward-looking regulations that support efficiency convergence and sectoral integration amidst a rapidly changing financial landscape. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Market liberalization reforms in China have led to greater domestic market integration. However, significant urban-rural price differences suggest that segregation between urban and rural markets persists in China. We study the evolution of price differences between urban and rural areas across 25 Chinese provinces over the period 1985-2020. Firstly, we record a substantial and persistent gap between urban and rural price levels within each province. Secondly, we find that this gap narrowed after China implemented the Price Law, which is suggestive of deeper urban-rural integration associated with policy changes. Additionally, we observe notable differences in urban-rural price gaps between provinces, however, using the log-t test, we find evidence of regional convergence in these price gaps. Finally, we investigate the impact of transport infrastructure development on urban-rural price differences. Using spatial econometric analysis and instrumental regressions, we find that road and railway construction has a significant negative effect on the urban-rural price divide, suggesting that infrastructure development facilitates market integration between urban and rural areas in China. Does China pull up its 31 mainland provinces as it converges to the incomes of advanced economies? The conventional method of modelling convergence in the Chinese provinces has been the Barro approach. This paper models convergence through a common factor, interpreted as the rising tides that lift the boats—the growth of China lifts its provinces. We question the conventional (Barro in Q J Econ 106:407–443 1991) definition of convergence. Imposing a common convergence rate across provinces would bias the convergence rate towards zero. We focus on the heterogeneous model where the convergence rate and long-run elasticity to the common factor differ across provinces. The rising tides of growth disproportionately benefit the poorer provinces and lifts the poor provinces more than the wealthier ones. Territorially, Spanish public administrations are organized into State Administration, Autonomous Community Administration, and Local Administration. Local government has the closest contact with citizens and therefore the powers and decisions taken by local institutions have the greatest impact on the social welfare of citizens. To ensure this well-being, it is necessary to analyze and pay attention to the administrative and financial autonomy of local governments. Financial autonomy translates into the capacity of local entities to govern their respective finances, determining, within certain limits, the level of the volume of their own resources and organizing their expenditures. In this work, we study the Financial Autonomy Indicator, which aims to determine the tax resources available to the local entity. Taking into account that Spanish municipalities have, depending on their population size, different obligations when providing services to citizens, the convergence of financial autonomy is studied to detect whether there are common trends by applying the techniques of β -convergence and σ -convergence. It is analyzed whether municipalities starting from lower indicators achieve higher growth over time (β -convergence), and whether dispersion between municipalities is reduced (σ -convergence). Points for practitioners: Local autonomy grants local entities the freedom to manage their own interests within the State's legal framework. Greater economic diversity and the ability to raise more money on their own through taxes, fees, and other sources characterize larger communities. They have a wider tax base thanks to their higher economic diversification, which opens up more opportunities for revenue collection. The electrification of vehicles has emerged as a pivotal technique for addressing environmental concerns and reducing reliance on conventional fuel sources. Conversely, the best way to incorporate renewable energy into electric vehicles (EVs) is still a challenging task, particularly in enhancing the performance of EVs through efficient energy management. The transition to EVs has gained momentum as part of global efforts to mitigate environmental impacts and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. This paper proposes a hybrid method for enhancing EV performance through buck‐boost converters with renewable energy integration. The proposed technique is the joined execution of Flying Foxes Optimization (FFO) and Viscoelastic Constitutive Artificial Neural Networks (vCANNs) techniques. The proposed method's goal is to enhance the energy efficiency, minimize EV charging cost, and mitigating environmental impacts. The renewable energy sources: solar panels, fuel cells, and wind turbines, are integrated into the EV power system through buck‐boost converters. The buck‐boost converter's control signal is optimized through the FFO method. vCANNs are used to predict these control parameters. The proposed strategy is executed in MATLAB software and is compared with existing strategies. In comparison with other current approaches like particle swarm optimization, heap based optimizer, and wild horse optimize, the proposed method achieves a high efficiency of 99% and low cost of 0.05 €/KWh. This article consider a class of generalized coupled Sylvester‐transpose matrix equations which play an important role in control and systems theory. Based on the Jacobi iterative algorithm, the full‐row rank accelerated Jacobi gradient based iterative (RRAJGI) algorithm and the full‐column rank accelerated Jacobi gradient based iterative (CRAJGI) algorithm are proposed. By using the Frobenius norm of matrix and the trace function of matrix, the convergence of the algorithms are proved. The results show that the new algorithms are convergent for arbitrary initial matrices under the convergence number μ$$ \mu $$ satisfies appropriate conditions. Numerical examples show that RRAJGI algorithm and CRAJGI algorithm have the advantages of faster convergence speed and higher convergence accuracy than other existing algorithms. In realistic sound scenarios, cutting-edge active noise control (ANC) systems still suffer critical instabilities since these systems works under impulsive noise signals. To decrease the negative impact of this noise, several authors have made extraordinary efforts to develop efficient algorithms in terms of convergence speed and misadjustment. However, these algorithms still exhibits limited convergence capabilities. In this letter, we present for the first time, the development of a switching algorithm based on the maximum versoria criterion (MVC) algorithm. Our results demonstrate that the proposed switching algorithm exhibits good convergence properties while maintaining a lower-computational cost when compared with existing algorithms. This paper introduces a class of two-step collocation methods for the numerical solution of ordinary differential equations. These methods which are equipped with the future point technique and described in two types, to approximate the solution in each step, use the numerical solution in some points in the two previous subintervals as well as in the future subinterval. To further accelerate the convergence rate of the recent proposed modified modulus-based matrix splitting (MMMS) iteration method for solving the implicit complementarity problems, by using the two-step iteration methodology, a class of modified two-step modulus-based matrix splitting (MTMMS) iteration methods are studied in this paper. The convergence analyses of the MTMMS iteration method are carefully studied when the system matrix is a positive definite matrix or an H + -matrix. Finally, two numerical experiments are presented. A shallow-water wave propagation model can be described as a generalized Rosenau–Burgers equation with strong nonlinearity and high-order dispersion terms. In this paper, we propose two generalized high-order (up to eighth-order) compact finite difference schemes for solving the generalized Rosenau–Burgers equation. The first scheme is a two-level nonlinear Crank–Nicolson difference scheme and the second is a three-level linearized difference scheme. We derive the discrete mass and energy properties, and provide rigorous proofs for the boundedness, existence, and convergence with order O (τ 2 + h s) (s = 4 , 6 , 8) of these proposed generalized compact difference schemes, where τ and h denote the time- and space-steps, respectively. Although in theory social justice is considered as a core dimension of agroecological transitions, alternative food initiatives related to agroecology have been criticised for their exclusionary practices based on important social and economic biases. In this article, we adopt the lens of political intersectionality to study two cases of Agroecology-oriented Food Redistribution Coalitions in Spain that emerged to address the rising levels of food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic. We find that the coalitions represent a convergence of diverse social struggles, placing intersectionally marginalized groups at the centre of their activism. However, we also uncover that coalition members participate in different ways depending on their socioeconomic profiles, which could perpetuate inequalities in organizational practices. One major point of tension is the need to balance the goal of providing access to healthy and sustainable food with the affordability of such produce. This leads to the adoption of hybrid food networks that include conventionally produced food. We also highlight that while the predominance of women in these coalitions reflects the unequal distribution of food-related care work in society, the collectivization of such work through AFRCs practices points to a transformation of gender relations. Territorialized alliances between actors from urban and rural settings and between urban centers and peripheries are established through the coalitions. However, such networks fall short on involving large numbers of agroecology-oriented initiatives and providing direct encounters between consumers and producers. Overall, the article underscores the importance of addressing intersecting inequalities within alternative food initiatives and argues that intersectional coalitions offer an intriguing example of how to promote such understanding and pave the way towards (more) just agroecological transitions. In this article, a numerical method is proposed and investigated for an initial boundary value problem governed by a fractional differential generalization of the nonlinear transient filtration law which describes fluid motion in a porous medium. This type of equation is widely used to describe complex filtration processes such as fluid movement in horizontal wells in fractured geological formations. To construct the numerical method, a high-order approximation formula for the fractional derivative in the sense of Caputo is applied, and a combination of the finite difference method with the finite element method is used. The article proves the uniqueness and continuous dependence of the solution on the input data in differential form, as well as the stability and convergence of the proposed numerical scheme. The linearization of nonlinear terms is carried out by the Newton method, which allows for achieving high accuracy in solving complex problems. The research results are confirmed by a series of numerical tests that demonstrate the applicability of the developed method in real engineering problems. The practical significance of the presented approach lies in its ability to accurately and effectively model filtration processes in shale formations, which allows engineers and geologists to make more informed decisions when designing and operating oil fields. Industrial enterprises are characterized by significant energy consumption and high emissions. Therefore, the implementation of green innovation by these enterprises is beneficial for promoting sustainable economic development and safeguarding the ecological environment. In this study, a relational two-stage DEA model containing shared inputs and undesired outputs is constructed to evaluate and decompose the green innovation efficiency (GIE) of Chinese industrial enterprises across 30 provinces from 2012 to 2021. Since the objective function of this model is nonlinear, a heuristic search method is employed for its resolution. On the basis of efficiency evaluation, the Gini coefficient, kernel density estimation, and convergence analysis are further employed to investigate the regional disparities and convergence properties in the two-stage efficiency of green innovation. Our findings are as follows: (1) The average GIE of Chinese industrial enterprises demonstrates a fluctuating upward trajectory, with significant regional disparities observed between provinces. (2) Regional disparities in R&D efficiency (RDE) and achievement conversion efficiency (ACE) have diminished in all regions. Super-variable density and interregional differences serve as the primary sources of regional disparities in RDE and ACE, respectively. (3) The presence of absolute and conditional convergence in RDE and ACE is observed across all regions. To improve the GIE of Chinese industrial enterprises, it is imperative to emphasize the heterogeneous impact of economic levels, industrial structure, and the degree of openness across various regions and stages of green innovation. This paper studies the convergence of environmental sustainability and its main determinants in selected American countries. In addition, it studies the impact of economic activity, income inequality, trade openness, and innovative activity on the sustainability of these countries. Convergence tests such as unit root and club convergence are applied. Furthermore, cointegration and causality tests are used, and long-term parameters are estimated using methods robust for cross-sectional dependence. The results show evidence of stochastic convergence with the univariate unit root tests in the five indicators (energy consumption, carbon dioxide emissions, ecological footprint, energy intensity, and load capacity factor) used, while with the panel data unit root tests only in four (carbon dioxide emissions, ecological footprint, energy intensity, and load capacity factor). There is no evidence of convergence towards a single club considering the complete sample, but there is evidence of convergence towards several clubs. The variables are integrated of order one and are cointegrated. Moreover, using robust estimators in the presence of cross-sectional dependence in long-term economic activity, income inequality, trade openness, and innovative activity deteriorate sustainability, while renewable energy improves it in these countries. This paper proposes a new meta-heuristic optimization algorithm called Cleaner Fish Optimization algorithm (CFO) inspired by cleaner fish. The CFO simulates the movement behavior of cleaner fish when performing "cleaning services" and the behavior of female may change its sex to become a male, and defines two modes of position update. In addition, a two-generation cycle operation strategy is proposed to realize the optimization process. To verify the effectiveness of the CFO algorithm, 23 well-known CEC benchmark functions, CEC-2017 benchmark functions and 4 engineering design problems are adopted. This paper presents three tensor randomized extended Kaczmarz methods for solving a tensor inconsistent linear system of equations under the t-product between tensors. The randomized extended Kaczmarz, the randomized extended block Kaczmarz, and the randomized extended greedy block Kaczmarz methods in tensor form are proposed to solve inconsistent tensor linear system of equations, respectively. In the context of forward uncertainty quantification, we investigate the convergence of the Galerkin projections for random fractional differential equations. The governing system is formed by a finite set of independent input random parameters (a germ) and by a fractional derivative in the Caputo sense. Input uncertainty arises from biased measurements, and a fractional derivative, defined by a convolution, takes past history into account. While numerical experiments on the gPC-based Galerkin method are already available in the literature for random ordinary, partial and fractional differential equations, a theoretical analysis of mean-square convergence is still lacking for the fractional case. This paper considers the problem of kernel regression and classification with possibly unobservable response variables in the data, where the mechanism that causes the absence of information can depend on both predictors and the response variables. Our proposed approach involves two steps: First we construct a family of models (possibly infinite dimensional) indexed by the unknown parameter of the missing probability mechanism. In the second step, a search is carried out to find the empirically optimal member of an appropriate cover (or subclass) of the underlying family in the sense of minimizing the mean squared prediction error. The main focus of the paper is to look into some of the theoretical properties of these estimators. The issue of identifiability is also addressed. Our methods use a data-splitting approach which is quite easy to implement. We also derive exponential bounds on the performance of the resulting estimators in terms of their deviations from the true regression curve in general L p norms, where we allow the size of the cover or subclass to diverge as the sample size n increases. These bounds immediately yield various strong convergence results for the proposed estimators. As an application of our findings, we consider the problem of statistical classification based on the proposed regression estimators and also look into their rates of convergence under different settings. Although this work is mainly stated for kernel-type estimators, it can also be extended to other popular local-averaging methods such as nearest-neighbor and histogram estimators. In this article, we investigate how the solutions of the Moore-Gibson-Thompson thermoelasticity vary after a change of the relaxation parameter or the conductivity rate parameter, although, in the second case, only for radial solutions. The results focus on the structural stability. We also obtain the convergence of the Moore-Gibson-Thompson thermoelasticity to the type III thermoelasticity and the convergence of the Moore-Gibson-Thompson thermoelasticity to the Lord-Shulman thermoelasticity in the case of radial solutions. For the structural stability results, a certain measure for the difference of solutions can be used to control by an expression depending on the square of the difference of the parameters, and, for the convergence results, a measure of the difference of the solutions is proved to be controlled by the square of the vanishing parameter. In the proof of the above results, the energy arguments are used. It is worth saying that there are no results of this kind for the Moore-Gibson-Thompson thermoelasticity. Parents have an essential role in shaping children's emotional responses, a process called emotional socialization. Typically, researchers measure parental socialization behaviors via self‐report and in‐laboratory observations. However, the extent to which there is convergence between parents' reported and enacted socialization practices is an open question. The aims of the current study were (1) to quantify the convergence/divergence in parents' reported and enacted emotional socialization practices and (2) to analyze how convergence/divergence in specific parent socialization practices relates to children's emotional responding across different contexts (alone and with a parent). Participants were a diverse sample of 181 parent‐child dyads (children ages 3–11). We analyzed emotion socialization strategies (problem‐focused reactions, emotion‐focused reactions, expressive encouragement, punishing reactions, minimizing reactions, and distress reactions) as they related to children's behavioral and physiological responding to an emotional challenge. We found an overall pattern of divergence for most socialization strategies, but convergence for problem‐focused reactions. For children's observed distress, a convergent pattern of reported and enacted minimizing specifically was related to more distress while alone. For children's physiological reactivity, enacted problem‐solving was related to greater parasympathetic decreases across social context (from being alone to being with parent). Taken together, our findings suggest that convergence and divergence in parental emotional socialization practices may capture unique variability in how parents contextually respond to children's feelings, and children's emotional responding. In this article, we propose a viscosity-type scheme for approximating a common solution of convex minimization problem, monotone vector field inclusion problem and fixed point problem involving multi-valued nonexpansive mapping in the framework of Hadamard spaces. We obtain a strong convergence theorem for the sequence generated therefrom to a solution of the problem. Furthermore, we apply our results to compute the Fréchet mean, find the mean of probabilities, minimize energy of measurable mappings and solve a problem of two-arm robotic motion control. Finally, we give numerical example to demonstrate the applicability of the method and also issue comparisons with some existing methods. In this investigation, a new algorithm based on the compact difference method is proposed. The purpose of this investigation is to solve the 2D time-fractional integro-differential equation. The Riemann–Liouville derivative was utilized to define the time-fractional derivative. Meanwhile, the weighted and shifted Grünwald difference operator and product trapezoidal formula were utilized to construct a high-order numerical scheme.
