Utilizing DFT along with Boltzmann transport theory, the structural, elastic, electrical, optical, and thermoelectric properties of half‐Heusler compound RhTiP have been calculated in principle to examine the pressure effect in the range of 0–40 GPa. As pressure increases, the volume and normalized lattice parameter decreased. In addition to satisfying the Born stability criterion, which ensured the compound RhTiP "natural stability," the zero pressure elastic constants and the pressure‐dependent elastic constants are positive up to 40 GPa. The band structure computations guarantee the semiconductor nature of RhTiP, as demonstrated by the presence of electronic band gap of 1.035 eV at zero pressure. Using the Voigt‐Reuss‐Hill (VRH) averaging scheme under pressure, we have determined the values of this compound's bulk modulus B$$ B $$, shear modulus G$$ G $$, Young's modulus E$$ E $$, Pugh ratio B/G$$ B/G $$, Poisson's ratio v$$ v $$, and anisotropy factor A$$ A $$. Because the bulk modulus responds linearly to pressure, the material's hardness increases as pressure rises. Additionally, under pressures up to 40 GPa, the optical characteristics of RhTiP, including their reflectivity, absorptivity, conductivity, dielectric constant, refractive index, and loss function, were assessed and discussed. Furthermore, the thermoelectric properties are also studied for the materials and supports the tunning of pressure. In this work, a kernel density estimator using Kapur entropy of order a and type ß has been proposed and discussed with the help of theorems and properties. From the results, it has been observed that the proposed density measure is consistent, minimum, and smooth for the probability density function (PDF) underlying given conditions and validated with the help of theorems and properties. A fractional-order proportional integral derivative (FOPID)controller has replaced the classical PID controller used in industries for process control application. FOPID is less sensitive to the change of control parameters than PID Controller, due to which better results are obtained. The FOPID provides a robust and stable system for a higher-order system as of iso- damping property. This study aims to find a stable and controlled structure by tuning the FOPID controller with the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm, fuzzy-based logic approach, and Adaptive Neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). The tuning of FOPID is done to overcome deficits of PID controller using the different types of optimization method to overcome large overshoot and large settling time. This paper presented useful techniques based on PSO, fuzzy logic, and ANFIS to optimize FOPID controlled high-performance drilling machines. On the analysis and comparisons of simulation findings, it is observed that the FOPID-PSO approach provides better performance over the Ziegler-Nichols (ZN)-FOPID and the above-mentioned intelligent techniques in terms of less settling time (ts=0.823sec.) & optimized peak overshoot (Mp=2.44%) for the mentioned target. Models prediction is done for accurately anticipating metal removal rate (MRR), machine power (MP), and estimated tool life (ETL), which are vital in the industrial setup for better precision and higher speed. Cutting speed (CS) and feed rate (FR) were employed as controlling parameters for machining of P8 material on the SBCNC 60. By maintaining one of the two parameters constant at the mid-level, data from drilling experiments are sampled and examined. Application of ANOVA yields that the feed rate is 52.61 percent significant and the cutting speed is 46.49 percent significant for MRR, while cutting speed contributes 57.59 percent and feed rate contributes 41.77 percent to the machine power, and the same cutting speed contributes 83 percent to ETL's output. The analysis results that CS at 190 m/min and FR at 0.3 mm/rev are optimal combinations of input control parameters for all output of drilling operations. The development of prediction models is done by fuzzy and its comparison is carried out with classical regression method for the achievement of optimum MRR, MP and ETL. Numerical parameters for establishing the optimum model are calculated for MAPE, RMSE, MAD, and correlation coefficient between experimental values and the values obtained from regression, and fuzzy logic predictions. MAPE, RMSE, MAD, and correlation coefficient calculated 1.27%, 2.43, 1.89, and 0.99 for MRR,0.97%,0.10, 0.09 and 0.997 for MP and 5.12%,1.01,0.67 and 0.99 for ETL respectively. In the process of attaining high-end machines, control of machining systems via optimized machining parameters along with their transient responses is highly essential. By implementing system detection methodologies, a new methodology is proposed to introduce the best mathematical model, which subsumes the best FIT, fewer parameters, minimum MSE, and residuals amongst ARX and ARMAX models for an SBCNC-60 Machine to gratify the controller’s design requirement. From the CNC machine, the real-time measurement data samples are obtained for model detection; then, they are simulated with the aid of MATLAB. Here, for the study of Metal Removal Rate (MRR), the multiple inputs with the single-output system are utilized; similarly, for tuning operation, the Surface Roughness (SR) is measured; subsequently, the MRR is utilized for drilling operation on P8 (H-13, High-Speed-Steels) materials, which were detected by ARX and ARMAX for varying orders. To optimize the output MRR, the best-fit models were selected for control regarding the PID as well as FOPID controller; moreover, in the ‘3’ inputs’ SR, one input differs at a time whilst retaining the other 2 constants at their mid-levels. Better time-domain characteristics were obtained by the PSO tuned FOPID controlled ARX 331 model than the PSO-PID controller for MRR (tr = 6.86 s., Mp = 1.94%, ts = 8.93 s.) and SR (tr = 1.13 s., Mp = 2.47%, ts = 2.68 s.) in case of turning operation, the ARX 311 is the best-suited model for MRR (tr = 0.0818 s., Mp = 1.8%, ts = 2.78 s.) while running for drilling operation. A prominent effect of the varied cutting speed input variable was illustrated by these models; thus, affecting the output performance like MRR and SR for various operations performed during the machining process. On the everlasting demand for better accuracy, high speed, and the inevitable approach for the high-quality surface finish as the basic requirements in the process industry, there felt the requirement to develop models which are reliable for predicting surface roughness (SR) as it is having a crucial role in the process industries. In this paper, SBCNC-60 of HMT make used to study the purpose of machining, while cutting speed (CS), feed rate (FR), and the depth of cut (DoC) were considered as parameters for machining of P8 material. Turning experiments data is studied by keeping two parameters constant at the mid-level out of three parameters. An artificial intelligence technique named fuzzy was engaged in working out for surface roughness and material removal rate (MRR) to design the models of reliable nature for the predictions. The accurate prediction performance of the fuzzy logic model was then better analyzed by calculating MAPE, RMSE, MAD, and correlation coefficient between experimental values and fuzzy logic predictions. MAPE, RMSE, MAD, and correlation coefficient calculated 2.66%, 8.20, 6.44, and 0.98 for MRR and 4.19%,1.16, 0.86 and 0.90 for SR, respectively. This paper aims to improve turning and drilling operations in industries where necessity is to increase productivity by improving the metal removal rate. Aims: This study examined the reasons for e-cigarette (EC) use, changes in self-efficacy and association between EC use and cessation of tobacco among Canadian young adult smokers over a 6-month period. Methods: A secondary analysis was conducted using data from a randomised controlled trial (RCT) of young adult Canadian smokers. EC exposure was defined as persistent, transient and non-use of ECs at baseline and follow-up. The association between EC exposure and cessation was examined using logistic regression and adjusting for co-variates. Results: At 6-month follow-up, persistent EC use was associated with a lower cessation rate (13%) than transient (23%) or non-use (29%). After adjusting for covariates, non-use and transient use were associated with higher odds of cessation than persistent use (AOR = 3.23, 95% CI = 1.41–7.40, P < 0.01; AOR = 2.40, 95% CI = 1.01–5.58, P < 0.05). At 6-month follow-up, persistent users (68%) had high self-efficacy as compared to transient (15%) or non-use (12%). Top reasons for EC use included use as a quit aid (67%), perceived use as less harmful (52%) and taste (32%). Conclusions: Among young adult Canadian smokers enrolled in a RCT of a cessation intervention, persistent and transient use of ECs was associated with a lower smoking cessation rate at 6 months. It is assumed that air and mucus flow under quasi steady state turbulent conditions while the mixture of mucin and periciliary liquid and serous layer surrounding mixture layer flows under unsteady laminar condition in presence of immotile cilia carpet. Result: It is shown that the mucus transport increases as the viscosity of serous fluid decreases. Also the mixture and serous fluid flow rates increase as the viscosity of serous fluid decreases. It is also observed that the effect of resistance to flow by serous fluid in the cilia bed is to decrease flow rates. The flow rates of mucus and mixture of mucin and periciliary fluid increase as the viscosity of mixture decreases also air and mixture of mucus and periciliary fluid flow rates increase as the thickness of mixture increases. Conclusion: As the thickness of mucus increases its flow rate increases on the other hand the mixture flow rate, mucus and serous fluid flow rate decreases with the increase of the mixture thickness. The entire world is facing the problem of vector borne diseases, which are one of the leading causes of deaths in developing countries. This is not because of any lapse or failure of disease control operations but due to enormous population growth of various types of vectors, among which mosquitoes are playing a major role. Their control is a difficult task due to a variety of factors including the development of insecticide resistance in the insects and environmental pollution. No doubt, the chemical insecticides will be continuously used for mosquito control but a cheap, less harmful and eco-friendly alternative is badly needed. The chemicals derived from plants, have been projected as weapons in future mosquito control programs. They act as general toxicants, growth inhibitors, reproduction inhibitors, repellents and oviposition deterrents. So far, more than thousand plants have been searched for biopesticides, not only to control the vectors, but also other pests of agricultural importance. Plants have evolved a variety of secondary metabolic compounds, some of them for providing protection from phytophagous insects. Flavonoids are phenolic secondary metabolites found in a wide range of plant tissues, possessing a common aromatic ring, bearing one or more hydroxyl substituents. Flavonoids are most commonly known for their antioxidant activity. In the present piece of research work it was observed that the flavonoid extract of Sphaeranthus indicus proved to be a very effective mosquito larvicide and can provide eco-friendly alternative to synthetic insecticides.
