[ES] El objetivo del TFG es investigar de manera teórica y validar de manera práctica mediante simulaciones, cómo influye el uso de las nuevas tecnologías de la Industria 4.0 en la cadena de suministro de un almacén. Se empezará con una literatura sistemática de la Industria 4.0, se describirá el contexto en el que actualmente nos encontramos, se plantearán unas hipótesis y finalmente se explicará cada una de las nuevas tecnologías implementadas en la posterior simulación. Gracias a la simulación, se podrán obtener algunas conclusiones acerca de la implementación de estas tecnologías y terminará con una final conclusión., [EN] The aim of this bachelor thesis is to investigate theorically and validate by simulations, how the supply chain of a warehouse can be influenced by the new technologies of Industry 4.0. The outline of the thesis starts with a systematic literature of Industry 4.0, then the actual context will be described, some hypotheses or research questions will be raised and finally, each and every technology used in the later implementation are explained. After the simulation, some conclusions will arise and the thesis will conclude after a final conclusion.

In educational settings, peer assessment is defined as the process of considering the level, value, worth, quality or success of the outcomes of learning by classmates with the same status (i.e. peers). In the framework of an educational innovation project at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), peer assessment has been implemented during two years in the course of “Energy in Buildings”. In this subject, students individually develop their own project, mainly based on software tools, and apply the knowledge and skills learned within the course. The goal of peer assessment in this course is, not so much to increase student’s marks, but to increase their learning outcomes. The resulting classroom setting also allows a smoother transition to real-life professional settings and the development of interpersonal skills with future co-workers. A learning management system was utilized: Aula Global, virtual platform for students at UC3M, that is based on Moodle. Peer assessment was enabled by using the workshop activity in Moodle platform. To guide the assessment by the students, rubric templates were generated in the same virtual platform. En entornos educativos, la evaluación por pares se define como el proceso de considerar el nivel, valor y calidad o éxito de los resultados de aprendizaje por parte de los propios compañeros (i.e. pares o iguales). En el marco de un proyecto de innovación docente de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), la evaluación por pares se ha implementado durante dos años en la asignatura ”Energía en la Edificación”. En ella, los estudiantes desarrollan de forma individual su propio proyecto, fundamentalmente basado en herramientas informáticas, y aplican los conocimientos y destrezas que adquieren a lo largo del curso. El objetivo de la revisión por pares en esta asignatura es incrementar, no tanto las calificaciones de los alumnos, sino más bien los resultados de aprendizaje. El entorno de clase resultante permite además una transición más suave hacia la realidad profesional y el desarrollo de habilidades interpersonales con futuros compañeros de trabajo. Se utilizó un sistema de gestión de aprendizaje: Aula Global, plataforma virtual para estudiantes de la UC3M, la cual se basa en Moodle. La evaluación por pares se habilitó mediante la actividad de taller en la plataforma Moodle. Para guiar la evaluación por parte de los estudiantes, se generaron plantillas de rúbrica en la propia plataforma virtual. Mención Internacional en el título de doctor La presente tesis está dedicada al desarrollo de modelos ópticos aplicados a la tecnología de central solar tipo torre. Más concretamente, este trabajo se centra en el modelado de mapas de flujo y estrategias de apuntamiento para sistemas de receptor central. Los códigos resultantes son de utilidad en las fases de diseño y operación de centrales solares de torre. Esta memoria fundamentalmente presenta cuatro modelos computacionales. El primer modelo, sobre el cual se construyen el resto de modelos, calcula la distribución de densidad de flujo incidente en cualquier tipo de receptor central y que es causada por un único heliostato. El procedimiento se basa en la proyección oblicua de la malla de cálculo desde el receptor hasta el plano imagen, en donde se evalúa una función analítica de precisión conocida, e.g. UNIZAR. La proyección oblicua se obtiene mediante un adecuado cambio de sistemas de coordenadas. El método de proyección reproduce notablemente la distorsión presente en la mancha de luz concentrada cuando el ángulo de incidencia con el receptor es elevado. Este modelo básico ha sido validado con medidas de distribución de flujo en un receptor plano y con simulaciones de Monte Carlo de trazado de rayos para un receptor cilíndrico. En comparación con SolTrace, el modelo propuesto requiere un tiempo de computación 50 veces inferior y con un nivel de resolución aún mayor. El segundo modelo determina los errores de canteo en las facetas de heliostatos reales. En base a un algoritmo de optimización determinista, se ha establecido un procedimiento que ajusta los mapas de flujo simulados con las imágenes tomadas en un blanco lambertiano. Se han empleado imágenes experimentales tomadas en la planta THEMIS para encontrar los errores de reglaje en tres heliostatos CETHEL seleccionados. A partir de los resultados del modelo, uno de los heliostatos ha sido satisfactoriamente reajustado, mejorando de forma significativa su calidad óptica y validando la metodología propuesta. El tercer modelo es una ampliación del primero de ellos para superponer los mapas de flujo producidos por cada uno de los heliostatos en un campo completo. Las pérdidas ópticas por sombras y bloqueos se calculan mediante proyección paralela de los heliostatos vecinos. Se ha desarrollado una estrategia de apuntamiento que da lugar a mapas de flujo simétricos respecto de la línea media ecuatorial del receptor y que depende de un solo parámetro: k, factor de apuntamiento. Con k = 3 se obtienen mapas de flujo similares a los de apuntamiento simple al ecuador, mientras que con k = 0 los heliostatos apuntan a los bordes inferior y superior del receptor. Para el caso de estudio basado en Gemasolar, un factor de apuntamiento igual a 2 da lugar a las distribuciones de flujo más uniformes, i.e. perfil plano en la región central, sin menoscabo del factor de intercepción en comparación con el apuntamiento ecuatorial simple. En el cuarto de los modelos se ha implementado una estrategia de apuntamiento óptima para receptores centrales de sales fundidas. Se ha desarrollado un algoritmo que maximiza la potencia térmica instantánea del receptor, al mismo tiempo que se cumplen sus límites de operación. Los límites de corrosión y estrés térmico se traducen en flujos máximos admisibles; AFD, por sus siglas en inglés. En comparación con el apuntamiento simple, habitualmente inviable, la estrategia de apuntamiento optimizado asegura la integridad del receptor, a la vez que las pérdidas por desbordamiento sólo se incrementan en 4 puntos porcentuales. Se ha comprobado que la posición óptima de los apuntamientos en cada panel se encuentra, en promedio, ligeramente desplazada hacia el lado de entrada de las sales. A pesar de los requisitos contradictorios entre paneles adyacentes de receptores multi-panel con flujo de sales en serpentín, el algoritmo consigue un buen ajuste al perfil AFD instantáneo. El código resultante requiere alrededor de 2 minutos de cálculo en una computadora estándar para determinar los apuntamientos óptimos en un campo de 2650 heliostatos. This thesis deals with the development of optical models for solar power tower technology. Specifically, this work is focused on modeling flux mapping and aiming strategies for central receiver systems (CRS). The resulting codes are applicable to CRS design and operation. This dissertation essentially presents four computational models. The first model, on which the rest of the models are built up, computes the flux density distribution incident on any kind of central receiver which is caused by a single heliostat. The procedure relies on the oblique projection of the receiver mesh onto the image plane, where an accurate analytic function, e.g. UNIZAR, is evaluated. Oblique projection is accomplished by transformation of coordinate systems. The 4-step projection method remarkably reproduces the distorted spot found for large incidence angles on the heliostat and the receiver. This basic model was validated against flux measurements on a flat receiver and Monte Carlo Ray Tracing simulations on a cylindrical receiver. Compared to SolTrace, the model takes 50 times less computation time and higher level of resolution. The second model was developed to determine canting errors in the facets of real heliostats. Based on a deterministic optimization algorithm, a procedure was set up to minimize the difference between computed flux maps and captured images on a lambertian target. Experimental images from THEMIS plant were employed to find out canting errors in selected CETHEL heliostats. From results of the model, one of the heliostats was successfully readjusted, significantly improving its optical quality, and validating the proposed methodology. The third model extends the basic model to superpose single heliostat flux maps in a whole field of heliostats. Shading and blocking losses are computed by parallel projection of neighbor heliostats. An aiming strategy, symmetric about the receiver equator, was developed on the basis of only one parameter: k, aiming factor. Nearly single equatorial aiming is achieved with k = 3, while k = 0 results in pointing to either upper or lower receiver edges. For the Gemasolar case study, an aiming factor equal to 2 yielded the most uniform flux maps, i.e. flat profile in the central region, and negligible increase in spillage losses compared to equatorial aiming. An optimal aiming strategy for molten salt receivers was implemented in the fourth model. An algorithm was developed to maximize receiver thermal output, while meeting at the same time corrosion and thermal stress limits; which were translated into allowable flux densities, AFD. Compared to unreliable single aiming, the optimized aiming strategy ensures receiver integrity and spillage losses only increase up to 4 percentage points. It was found that optimal aim points are, on average, slightly shifted towards the panel entrance. Despite the conflicting demand between adjacent panels in multi-panel receivers with serpentine flow pattern, the fit algorithm performs noticeable matching to the AFD profile. The resulting code takes around 2 minutes in a standard PC to compute the optimal aim points for a field made up of 2650 heliostats. The main goal of this Thesis is the analysis and design of a HIS for the improvement of the Integrated Care Program at HUG. Thus, the rationale of this Thesis is not the development of any industrial product but the validation of a concept. Concretely, this Thesis comprises the following objectives: 1. To carry out a comprehensive analysis of the environment at the Geriatrics Service. 2. To interact directly with users and engage them in the development of the HIS model. 3. To develop scenarios describing how the system would solve the problems in the Geriatrics Service. 4. To design the HIS, including data and user interaction models. 5. To develop Me-Fi prototypes 6. To validate my systems in terms of usability and user experience. In order to fulfil all these goals I devised a strategy following scenario-based design method. Extensive waste deposits (tailings) and ash from the ignition oven of the abandoned gold mine of mining district El Triunfo (MD-ET) in Baja California Sur, Mexico have released trace elements into the sediments of the Hondo-Las Gallinas–El Carrizal arroyo, which connects to the Pacific Ocean through an evaporitic basin. Migration of these elements through the arroyo is mainly caused by winds or tropical hurricanes that occur sporadically during the summer and cause the otherwise dry arroyo to overflow. To evaluate the concentration and distribution of the elements As, Hg, Pb, and Zn along the 48 km arroyo, surface sediments were collected from 26 sites, ranging from close to the MD-ET to the mouth of the arroyo at the Pacific Ocean. Concentrations in tailings and ash were for As 8890 and 505 000 mg kg -1; for Hg 0.336 and 54.9 mg kg-1; for Pb 92 700 and 19 300 mg kg-1; and for Zn 49 600 and 1380 mg kg-1. The average of the Normalized Enrichment Factor (Av-NEF) in surface sediments, calculated using background levels, indicates that the sediments are severely contaminated with As and Zn (Av-NEF ¼ 22), Pb (Av-NEF ¼ 24) and with a moderate contamination of Hg (Av-NEF ¼ 7.5). The anthropogenic influence of those elements is reflected in the arroyo sediments as far as 18 km away from the MD-ET, whereas the samples closest to the discharge into the Pacific Ocean show a natural to moderate enrichment for As and Zn and low or no enrichment for Hg and Pb. A principal components analysis identified four principal components that explained 90% of the total variance. Factor 1 was characterized by a high positive contribution of the anthropogenic source elements, especially As, Pb, and Zn (37%), whereas Factor 2 was strongly correlated with the oxy-hydroxides of Fe and Mn (27%). Factor 3 was correlated with Li (16%) and Factor 4 with Al (10%), which indicates more than one source of lithogenic composition, though they played a minor role in the distribution of the elements.

To monitor the composition and the vertical flux of particulate matter from the sea surface, a sediment trap was moored in Cuenca Alfonso, Bahı´a de La Paz, a zone of high productivity in the Southwestern Gulf of California. Carbonate-free samples from 2002 to 2005 were analyzed for Corg, N, δ13C, and δ15N. The results show seasonal and interannual variability, with the δ13C and δ15N values larger in spring and summer than in fall and winter. The C:N ratio and δ13C increased by 1.5 units from 2002 to 2003–2005, suggesting a change in the supply of organic matter and-or the use or preferential degradation of Norg. There was no interannual variation in δ15N. The occasional high δ15N values suggest that physical mechanisms, such as the shoaling and advection into the bay of 15N-rich subsurface equatorial water, occur over short time periods. The latter is presumed to be related to the periodic development of a significant cyclonic gyre in the southern Gulf.

Las tendencias espaciales de los parámetros texturales (tamaño medio de grano, selección y asimetría) en Bahía magdalena, Baja California Sur, México, se calcularon a partir de 58 estaciones de muestreo, con la finalidad de inferir la trayectoria de los vectores residuales de transporte de sedimentos. los análisis de las tendencias espaciales y de componentes principales aplicados a los parámetros texturales indicaron que el sedimento, con una buena selección, está asociado con arenas finas a muy finas. Los vectores residuales de transporte sugieren la presencia de dos giros en la dispersión de material clástico: (1)girociclónico en la parte central y profunda, y (2)giro anticiclónico en la región sureste de la bahía. Las trayectorias de las partículas sedimentarias tienen una excelente correlación con las corrientes residuales de marea dentro de la Bahía Magdalena.

Large-scale gas seepage and fluid ejection features are described from the edges of the active pull-apart Wagner and Consag basins (northern Gulf of California, Mexico), at water depths between 65 and 150 m. Gas vents, pockmarks, possible mud volcanoes, pyrite- and barite-rich sediments, slabs of lithified shell debris, and chemosynthetic fauna were found. Gas venting occurs mainly through N-S synsedimentary small-scale faults and fault-propagation folds that are believed to derive from the Wagner Fault. The presumed mud volcanoes are sub-rounded, domed bathymetric features, several hundreds of metres across, underlain by gas-charged sediments and surrounded by gas vents. Upward gas migration throughout the thick sedimentary sequence produces the fluid expulsion features on the sea floor.

Para determinar el transporte residual de sedimentos en la Bahía de Todos Santos (BTS), las tendencias texturales del sedimento fueron comparadas y aplicadas a los modelos de Sunamura y Horikawa (1971), Mc Laren y Bowles (1985), y Gao y Collins (1994). El modelo de Sunamura-Horikawa usa el tamaño de grano medio y la clasificación como criterios de comparación para inferir la dirección del transporte mientras que los modelos de Mc Laren-Bowles, y Gao-Collins usan estos dos parámetros además de la asimetría. Los dos primeros modelos son unidimensionales y el tercero es bidimensional. El modelo de Gao y Collins (1994) resultó ser el más adecuado en la determinación de los patrones residuales de dispersión de sedimentos superficiales. En la BTS se define un patrón de dispersión de sedimentos identificando varias tendencias principales de transporte. En la zona norte de la bahía con una dirección SE (siguiendo el contorno de la isobata de los 20 m), y hacia el NE (cercano a la Isla de Todos Santos). Para la zona sur presenta un transporte en dirección NE, y en la región central de la bahía hacia el O. En el cañón de Todos Santos se determinó una trayectoria hacia el NE. La presencia de corrientes con velocidades de 0.30 ms-1 hace posible un transporte hacia el interior de la bahía. En la región externa de la bahía, frente a las Islas de Todos Santos y la Península de Punta Banda, el transporte inferido es hacia el O. Para las zonas someras, la circulación superficial y el transporte litoral concuerdan con los resultados del presente trabajo. Los procesos de marea (corrientes residuales u ondas internas) son un factor importante en la resuspensión y transporte del material en las zonas profundas de la bahía. En la zona central de la bahía parece ocurrir un sitio de convergencia y con ello se daría lugar al estancamiento de partículas arrojadas en la bahía (e.g., contaminantes).
