AIM: To assess the gap between the peak of the base curve to the surface of the cornea, as well as examines the correlation between the thickness of the tear film and the fitting of the orthokeratology lens through optical coherence tomography(OCT), providing an intuitive and quantitative clinical evaluation method for the fitting of the orthokeratology lens.METHODS: Myopia patients who fitted orthokeratology at our hospital from January to December 2023 were included. Examinations, including naked vision, slit lamp, non-contact intraocular pressure, ocular fundus, eye position, corneal diameter, corneal topography, tear film rupture time, optometry, etc., were performed on all patients before fitting. The trial lens parameter was selected according to the examination results, and fluorescein staining was performed to evaluate lens fitting state after patients adapted to wearing glasses. According to the performance of fluorescein staining, the inspected eyes are divided into three groups: lens loose group, lens fitting group, and lens tight group. In addition, the tear film thickness of three groups of subjects was measured by OCT, and the differences between the three groups of data were evaluated.RESULTS: A total of 49 myopic patients(77 eyes)were included. The average sphere degree was -3.10±1.25 D, the average cylinder degree was -0.43(-0.75, 0)D, the average horizontal keratometry(HK)was 42.48±0.81 D, and vertical keratometry(VK)was 42.98(42.25, 43.50)D. There were 21 cases(34 eyes)in the lens fitting group, with 13 cases of bilateral eyes, 8 cases of one eye, 14 cases(22 eyes)in the lens loose group, with 8 cases of bilateral eyes, 6 cases of one eye, and 14 cases(21 eyes)in the lens tight group, with 7 cases of bilateral eyes, 7 cases of one eye. There was no statistical difference in the main basic data of the subjects in the three groups(all P>0.05). OCT showed that the tear film thickness of the lens fitting group, the lens loose group, and the lens tight group was 231.18(219.0, 243.0), 220.41(214.0, 224.3), and 249.00(241.5, 258.0)μm, respectively, and there was statistical significance in the thickness among the three groups(P

To investigate the renal function and fibrosis indexes of conventional western medicine with Chinese medicine for dredging collaterals in the treatment of renal fibrosis (RF). We searched articles from databases (PubMed, Embase, The Cochrane Library, CNKI, and Wanfang data) and references of included studies. The quality of literature was evaluated and data were extracted in regard to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. RevMan5.3 software was applied for all statistical analyses. Eleven eligible RCTs with a total of 898 patients were included in this meta-analysis. Compared with conventional western medicine alone, conventional western medicine with Chinese medicine for dredging collaterals in the treatment of RF has lower BUN levels and SCr levels (P < 0.05). As for fibrosis indexes, conventional western medicine with Chinese medicine for dredging collaterals has lower HA, laminin (LN), IV-Col, and PC-III levels (P < 0.05). Conventional western medicine with Chinese medicine for dredging collaterals with lower BUN, Scr, HA, LN, PC-III, and IV-Col levels, has an advantage in the treatment of RF. These lower serum levels may not be associated with the presence of RF. Ideally, kidney biopsies should be performed to confirm that these markers reduce RF. This is a major limitation of this study.

Renal fibrosis (RF) is an important pathogenesis for renal function deterioration in chronic kidney disease. Secreted frizzled-related protein 5 (SFRP5) is an anti-fibrotic adipokine but its direct role on RF remains unknown. It was aimed to study the protective effect of SFRP5 against RF and interference with Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway for the first time. First, the therapeutic efficacy of SFRP5 was evaluated by adenovirus overexpression in rats with unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) in vivo. Thirty-six rats were randomly divided into the sham, UUO, and SFRP5 (UUO + Ad-SFRP5) groups. Half rats in each group were selected at random for euthanasia at 7 days and the others until 14 days. Then, the transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1-induced epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) was established in HK-2 cells in vitro. The cells were divided into four groups: the control group, the TGF-β1 group, the TGF-β1 + SFRP5 group, and the TGF-β1 + SFRP5 + anti-SFRP5 group. The makers of EMT and Wnt/β‐catenin pathway proteins were investigated. In the UUO model, expression of SFRP5 showed compensatory upregulation, and adenoviral-mediated SFRP5 over-expression remarkably attenuated RF, as demonstrated by maintenance of E-cadherin and suppression of α-smooth muscle actin (SMA). In vitro, SFRP5 was shown to inhibit TGF-β1-mediated positive regulation of α-SMA, fibronectin, collagen I but negative regulation of E-cadherin. Furthermore, SFRP5 abrogated activation of Wnt/β-catenin, which was the essential pathway in EMT and RF pathogenesis. The changes after a neutralizing antibody to SFRP5 confirmed the specificity of SFRP5 for inhibition. These findings suggest that SFRP5 can directly ameliorate EMT and protect against RF by inhibiting Wnt/β-catenin pathway.

Objective: To improve the storage safety of Xinjiang fresh walnut. Methods: Xinjiang "Xin 2" thin-skinned walnut was used as material, sterile water was inoculated as a control group, and Aspergillus flavus was inoculated as an experimental group. The Aspergillus flavus isolated and purified from naturally moldy walnut was artificially inoculated into Xinjiang thin-skinned fresh walnut with different water content （10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%） to investigate the growth and toxicity of Aspergillus flavus. Results: The water content of walnut which was suitable for the growth of Aspergillus flavus and the secretion of Aflatoxin M1 was 15%. With the increase of walnut water content, the growth of Aspergillus flavus increased first and then decreased, but the growth of each water content was different, and the growth of Aspergillus flavus was proportional to the content of Aflatoxin M1. Conclusion: The water content of raw materials is closely related to the growth of Aspergillus flavus and the content of Aflatoxin M1 produced.

Recent studies revealed that endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress played an emerging role of in valve calcification. Tanshinone IIA (TanIIA) has been a research hotspot in cardiovascular diseases. Previously we found that sodium TanIIA dampened the pathological phenotype transition of valvular interstitial cells (VICs) by affecting ER stress published in Chinese Journal. Here, we test the hypothesis that TanIIA attenuates the pro-osteogenic effects of oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL) in VICs by reducing induction of ER stress. Patients’ aortic valve (AV) was collected, and porcine VICs were cultured for in vitro model. ER stress markers were tested in human leaflets by immunostaining. Immunoblotting were used to test the osteoblastic factors such as Runx2, osteocalcin, and ER stress markers GRP78, CHOP, XBP1, etc. Alkakine phosphate (ALP) activity assay were used to test the activity of ALP kinase. Pro-inflammatory gene expression was detected by polymerase chain reaction. As a result, ER stress markers were elevated in patients’ calcified AVs. OxLDL induced osteogenesis and inflammation via promoting ER stress. TanIIA attenuated oxLDL induced ER stress. TanIIA also inhibited theosteoblastic factors and inflammatory cytokine expressions in VICs. In conclusion, our data provide evidence that TanIIA exerts anti-inflammation and anti-osteogenic effects in VICs by attenuating ER stress, and ER stress acts as an important regulator in oxLDL induced VICs’ phenotype transition.

To explore the role of NAC transcription factors in mung bean (Vigna ratiata), we here comprehensively analyzed VrNAC13 structure and expression patterns in the mung bean cultivar “Yulin No.1”. The nucleotide sequence of VrNAC13 (GenBank accession number xp014518431.1) was determined by cloning and sequencing the gene. A predicted transcriptional activation domain in VrNAC13 was validated with a yeast one-hybrid assay. The composition and functional characteristics of VrNAC13 were analyzed using basic bioinformatics techniques, and the expression characteristics of VrNAC13 were analyzed via quantitative reverse transcription-PCR. The results showed that VrNAC13 was 1,068 bp in length and encoded a product of 355 amino acids. VrNAC13 was predicted to contain a NAM domain and to belong to the NAC transcription factor family. The protein was hydrophilic and contained several threonine phosphorylation sites. Phylogenetic analysis showed that VrNAC13 was highly similar in sequence to two Arabidopsis thaliana NAC proteins; we hypothesize that VrNAC13 may perform functions in mung bean similar to those of the two closely related proteins in Arabidopsis. Promoter analysis of VrNAC13 revealed cis-acting elements predicted to respond to abscisic acid (ABA), gibberellin, auxin, light, drought, low temperature, and other stressors. VrNAC13 was most highly expressed in the leaves and expressed at very low levels in the stem and root. It was experimentally determined to be induced by drought and ABA. Based on these results, VrNAC13 appears to regulate stress resistance in mung bean.

As rubber is a hyperelastic material, its nonlinear deformation behavior during aging is significantly influenced by various factors, including the material characteristics, demonstrating a significant uncertainty. Most of the existing uncertain prediction methods of rubber nonlinear property degradation are based on the probability density function, which requires a large number of samples to obtain the probability distribution and requires a lot of work. Therefore, the interval model is used in this study to characterize the uncertainty. However, the traditional interval constitutive models ignore the correlation between interval variables, and the prediction results have large errors. In order to minimize prediction errors and improve prediction accuracy, an interval Mooney–Rivlin (M–R) correlation model that considers the correlation between parameters was established. To address the influence of uncertainties, an interval Arrhenius model was constructed. The M–R model requires multiple fittings of stress–strain curves to obtain the model parameters, and the prediction process is relatively complex. Therefore, combing the two proposed models, the relationship equations of rubber tensile stress with aging temperature and aging time were first established by interval Arrhenius, and then the interval M–R model was used to obtain the variation ranges of parameters C10{C}_{10} and C01{C}_{01}. By contrasting this with the measured rubber aging information, the effectiveness of the proposed model was confirmed. Compared with the prediction model based on the average value, the maximum error of prediction of this model is reduced by about 60%. Compared with the traditional interval model, the prediction region is significantly reduced, which further improves the prediction accuracy. The above results indicate that this interval aging lifetime prediction model is suitable for characterizing the nonlinear stress–strain behavior of rubber-like elastomers.

Environmental pollution is one of the most significant public concerns in modern society, which is harmful to ecology and human health directly or indirectly. Among different types of environmental pollutants, environmental endocrine disruptors, drugs and personal care products are more serious in water and soil. In order to deal with the residues of environmental pollutants and avoid their long-term potential harm to human health, there is an urgent need to develop a rapid and accurate method for analyzing and monitoring environmental pollutants. As one of ambient ionization mass spectrometry, direct analysis in real time mass spectrometry (DART-MS) has the advantage of ease of use, rapid analysis and minimum sample preparation. It can realize fast sampling under ambient conditions and serve a promising technique for environmental pollutant screening. In this review, the principle of DART-MS and its characteristics were introduced firstly, and then the application of DART-MS in the detection of pesticide residues, veterinary drugs and abused drugs, and environmental pollutants were briefly summarized. Finally, methodology and application of DART-MS in the screening of environmental pollutants were prospected.

On-chip optical communications are in increasingly demand for low-loss, small-footprint and power-efficient waveguiding solutions in the telecom band. However, most integrated optical circuits suffer from high propagation loss and low integration degree. Through manipulating the valley-dependent topological phase of light, we have experimentally demonstrated both robust optical transport and electrical modulation of lightwaves at telecom wavelengths in the valley photonic crystals. With the adoption of valley kink states, the 25 Gbit/s optical signal at 1550 nm is successfully transmitted through a highly twisted interface. Furthermore, an extreme high data rate of 100 Gbit/s is demonstrated with such topological waveguide by wavelength division multiplexing. The electrical tunability of the topological modulators based on thermo-optic effect is also verified, opening a novel route towards active valley kink photonic devices. Our study shows a great possibility of making use of the topological protection in building up high-speed datalinks on a chip.

Objective: Using Xinjiang melon as raw material, explore melon slices in weak microwave-assisted hot air drying in the process of drying characteristics. Methods: Using R2, χ2 and RMSE as evaluation indexes, compare melon slices of wet basis moisture content under different conditions, the drying rate, moisture content than the distinction, and melon dry dynamics model was set up, and the drying characteristic curve of melon slices was gotten at different slice thickness, the cycle time of microwave, the hot air cycle time. Results: The thinner the slice, the longer the circulation drying time of microwave and dry hot air, the faster the moisture content of the dry base decreased. The faster the drying rate, and the more the moisture ratio changes. The drying process of melon slice can be divided into two stages, accelerated drying and reduced drying, and accelerated drying was the main drying stage. Different slice thickness, microwave circulation time and dry-hot air circulation time, the Thompson equation can better reflect the drying characteristics and laws of melon slices. The R2 ranged from 0.992 9~0.999 9, χ2 ranged from 9.55×10-6~1.51×10-3, RMSE ranged from 0.002 68~0.027 47. The predicted values of Thompson equation were similar to the true ones, R2 was 0.995 0, χ2 was 3.93×10-4, and RMSE was 0.016 58. Conclusion: The model can be used to predict the moisture variation during the dry-hot air drying of melon slices.

Traditional methods for the optimization design of the air spring are based on the deterministic assumption that the parameters are fixed. However, uncertainties widely exist during the manufacturing stage of the air spring. To model the uncertainties in air springs, evidence theory is introduced. For the response analysis of the air spring system under evidence theory, an evidence theory-based polynomial chaos method, called the sparse grid quadrature-based arbitrary orthogonal polynomial (SGQ-AOP) method, is proposed. In the SGQ-AOP method, the response of the air spring is approximated by AOP expansion, and the sparse grid quadrature is introduced to calculate the expansion coefficient. For optimization of the air spring, a reliability-based optimization model is established under evidence theory. To improve the efficiency of optimization, the SGQ-AOP method is used to establish the surrogate model for the response of the air spring. The proposed response analysis and the optimization method were employed to optimize an air spring with epistemic uncertainties, and its effectiveness has been demonstrated by comparing it with the traditional evidence theory-based AOP method.

Abstract Background The pathological diagnosis of bladder cancer workup relies on cystoscopy, however, due to sampling restriction, the depth of local invasion is often understaged. Methods A total of 386 patients with bladder urothelial carcinoma underwent follow-up. The data collected included age, sex, tumor size, surgical options, histologic grade, invasive depth, lymph node metastasis, and oncological outcomes, and the patients were divided into coral-like and crumb-like groups. These data were analyzed with the chi-square test, binary logistic regression, Kaplan–Meier analysis, univariable and multivariable logistic regression and Spearman correlation test. Abstract The nanofluids owing to their alluring attributes like enhanced thermal conductivity and better heat transfer characteristics have a vast variety of applications ranging from space technology to nuclear reactors etc. The present study highlights the Ostwald-de-Waele nanofluid flow past a rotating disk of variable thickness in a porous medium with a melting heat transfer phenomenon. The surface catalyzed reaction is added to the homogeneous-heterogeneous reaction that triggers the rate of the chemical reaction. The added feature of the variable thermal conductivity and the viscosity instead of their constant values also boosts the novelty of the undertaken problem. The modeled problem is erected in the form of a system of partial differential equations. Engaging similarity transformation, the set of ordinary differential equations are obtained. The coupled equations are numerically solved by using the bvp4c built-in MATLAB function. The drag coefficient and Nusselt number are plotted for arising parameters. The results revealed that increasing surface catalyzed parameter causes a decline in thermal profile more efficiently. Further, the power-law index is more influential than the variable thickness disk index. The numerical results show that variations in dimensionless thickness coefficient do not make any effect. However, increasing power-law index causing an upsurge in radial, axial, tangential, velocities, and thermal profile.

Objective To summarize the clinical features and outcomes of patients with rhinocerebral mucormycosis involving cranial nerve. Methods and Results Eight pathologic confirmed cases of rhinocerebral mucormycosis with cranial nerves involvement since February 2012 to January 2020 were collected and evaluated. All patients were diagnosed at Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University. The main clinical manifestations were headache, eye and face swelling. In addition to the paranasal sinuses, the ocular motor nerve, extraocular muscle, meninges, brain parenchyma, optic nerve, cerebrovascular and vestibulocochlear nerve were also involved. There were 5 patients with the primary disease of type 2 diabetes mellitus, one patient with acute leukemia receiving chemotherapy, one patient with severe aplastic anemia receiving immunosuppressive therapy, and one patient with craniocerebral trauma. Six patients were confirmed by pathological biopsy of paranasal sinus mucosa, the other 2 patients underwent brain parenchymal biopsy and temporal muscle biopsy respectively. In addition to one patient with meningeal involvement who gave up treatment and finally died, the other 7 patients received amphotericin B (one case was combined with posaconazole) or amphotericin B liposome antifungal therapy. Among them 4 patients underwent simultaneous transnasal endoscopic radical lesion removal treatment and 3 patients with brain parenchymal involvement died despite of active treatment. Conclusions The mortality of rhinocerebral mucormycosis with brain parenchyma involvement is extremely high. For patients with sinusitis with immunocompromised state, if there is acute progression of cranial nerve involvement, swelling around the eyes and headache, attention should be paid to the identification of the disease, and antifungal drugs and combined surgery treatment should be given early. Pathological biopsy of the affected mucosal tissue is the first choice for quick diagnosis.

Rural planning is to make the countryside neat and tidy through planning, including farmland planning and sewage discharge planning. All individual buildings shall not be built outside the planned area or the construction land at will, and shall not be built in the demolition area with incomplete infrastructure. The planning and construction of pits and ponds shall be implemented to control agricultural pollution. The overall deployment of long-term social, economic, scientific and technological development is the basic basis for guiding rural development and construction.

Conventional calibration methods used in hydrological modelling are based on runoff observations at the basin outlet. However, calibration with only runoff often produces reasonable runoff but poor results for other hydrological variables. Multi-variable calibration with both runoff and remote sensing-based evapotranspiration (ET) is developed naturally, due to the importance of ET and its data availability. This study compares two main calibration schemes: (1) calibration with only runoff (Scheme I) and (2) multi-variable calibration with both runoff and remote sensing-based ET (Scheme II). ET data are obtained from three remote sensing-based ET datasets, namely Penman–Monteith–Leuning (PML), FLUXCOM, and the Global Land Evaporation Amsterdam Model (GLEAM). The aforementioned calibration schemes are applied to calibrate the parameters of the Distributed Hydrology Soil Vegetation Model (DHSVM) through ε-dominance non-dominated sorted genetic algorithm II (ε-NSGAII). The results show that all three ET datasets have good performance for areal ET in the study area. The DHSVM model calibrated based on Scheme I produces acceptable performance in runoff simulation (Kling–Gupta Efficiency, KGE = 0.87), but not for ET simulation (KGE < 0.7). However, reasonable simulations can be achieved for both variables based on Scheme II. The KGE value of runoff simulation can reach 0.87(0.91), 0.72(0.85), and 0.75(0.86) in the calibration (validation) period based on Scheme II (PML), Scheme II (FLUXCOM), and Scheme II (GLEAM), respectively. Simultaneously, ET simulations are greatly improved both in the calibration and validation periods. Furthermore, incorporating ET data into all three Scheme II variants is able to improve the performance of extreme flow simulations (including extreme low flow and high flow). Based on the improvement of the three datasets in extreme flow simulations, PML can be utilized for multi-variable calibration in drought forecasting, and FLUXCOM and GLEAM are good choices for flood forecasting.

Porous silicon nitride (Si₃N₄) ceramics with highly ordered and unidirectionally aligned channels were fabricated by the extrusion method using nylon fibers as the pore forming agent. The microstructure, mechanical properties and gas permeability were investigated. The results showed that the added nylon fibers were mostly converted to pores, the average observed pore diameter was approximately 19.5 μm and shrank about 22% from the size of original pore former (25 μm) during sintering. The porosity and gas permeability increased and the 3-point bending strength decreased proportionally with increasing the nylon fiber content. When the nylon fiber content increased to 20 wt. %, the porosity, bending strength and gas permeability of the extrusion samples with uni-directionally aligned pores was higher than that of non-extruded sample with random pores. For the extruded samples, the resulting porous silicon nitride ceramics showed a high gas permeability owing to their uni-directionally pore oriented structure.

BRAF mutations are known as oncogenic drivers of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). BRAF inhibition has demonstrated anti-tumor activity in patients with BRAF V600E mutant NSCLC. Further molecular screening for novel BRAF thr599dup mutation is warranted. The novel BRAF Thr599dup gene mutation, for which the repeat amino acid-tyrosine is inserted between the 599th amino acid and the 600th amino acid in exon 15 of BRAF, was identified by next-generation sequencing (NGS) during routine clinical care in a lung carcinoma sample from an Asian never-smoker. Other putative driver alterations including EGFR, ALK were not found in that patient. BRAF Thr599dup gene mutation analysis was consistent with BRAF v600E gene mutation. Here we report a novel BRAF gene mutation with molecular characteristics consistent with those in BRAF-driven NSCLC. Our case expands the scope of BRAF gene mutations and provides broader molecular profiling for optimizing therapeutic options for patients with NSCLC. The new BRAF gene mutation has important clinical meaning for cancer patients.

In order to understand the temporal-spatial patterns of air pollutants in Shanghai, the concentrations of six air pollutants (SO2, NO2, PM10, PM2.5, CO, O3) and air quality index (AQI) were analyzed. The results showed that, the percentage of excellent/good-AQI days was 70.7% during the whole year of 2015, and PM2.5, O3 and NO2 were the main air pollutants in Shanghai. Besides, the air quality in winter was most serious, followed by that in spring and autumn, and the air quality in summer was the best. From the perspective of spatial distribution, monitoring stations in YangpuSipiao and Putuo which were located in the urban area were affected by traditional industries and the air quality were poor, while those in Chuansha and Zhangjiang of Pudong which were located on the edge of the city showed relatively good air quality.

The operational test, along with the evaluation based on it, is the most important decisionmaking basis for the Department of Defense in acquiring weapons and equipment. However, there has always been a wide range of indicators needed to be test, which makes the planning, implementation and data processing of operational tests very complicated. In order to alleviate this problem, this paper studies the statistical meanings of various operational tests, analyses their relationships, and unifies them under the framework of linear modelling.

Munitions are one of the most critical and sensitive assets in the military supply chain, and its supply in the battlefield can greatly affect the result of the war. Historical data show that military forces are often provided either too much or too little ammunition because of the lack of visibility. This paper introduces the Munitions Visibility Management System that contains two parts, an organizational system and a technological system. The former one is from the administrative angle to standardize and control, and the latter one is from the technological angle to integrate and implement technologies needed. It gives a new way in studying the management of munitions.

The chromatographic column was Agilent ZORBAX 300SB-C18 column (4.6 mm × 250 mm，5 μm). The mobile phase was methanol-water, a gradient elution was conducted and the detection wavelength was at 230 nm. The results showed that the recovery rate of eight lignans was 92.2-102.9% and RSD was 1.5-4.2%. The established content determination method was simple, sensitive, accurate and stable, and can be used to control the quality of S. chinensis and S. sphenanthera.

In this paper, the methods of a snake-like robot climbing on high voltage transmission lines are presented. The three typical locomotion modes of a snake-like robot, that is, rectilinear locomotion with a Z shaped clamping mechanism, obstacle navigation locomotion with a head part clamping mechanism and winding obstacle navigation locomotion, are discussed. The motion mechanism of the snake-like robot's head part clamping obstacle navigation is studied and the kinematics model coupled with the robot and the line environment under this mode is introduced. The position tracking algorithm and the improved algorithm of robot's clamping obstacle navigation are also proposed. Finally, the simulation experiment verifies that the improved position tracking algorithm can improve the robot's motion performance and is feasible in the robot's clamping obstacle navigation.

Taking the cold-formed thin-walled perforated lipped channels with simple edge stiffeners and complex edge stiffeners as research objects. The influence of perforated parameters, such as hole width, hole height, hole shape and hole spacing, on axial compressive bearing capacity and buckling mode of these two types of lipped channels were studied by finite element analysis. It shows that the change of hole width, hole shape and hole spacing may change the buckling mode, but influence little on ultimate bearing capacity within a reasonable perforated range; However, it indicates that the ultimate bearing capacity decreased obviously with the opening height increased. The suggestions on reasonable hole shape and hole size were put forward. Furthermore, combined the direct strength method of lipped perforated channels under axial compression abroad with the relevant specification of our country, the direct strength method of lipped perforated channel columns for our country were put forward also. Then, the methods mentioned above were extended to calculate the ultimate bearing capacity of perforated channels with complex edge stiffeners under axial compression, and the validity of the formulas was verified.

Using the current direct strengths method to predict the bearing capacity of channels with complex edge stiffeners and stiffeners in the web, it will make the excessively conservative results to the test data for it couldn’t account for the interaction between distortional and local buckling. In order to study the method for bearing capacity of channels with complex edge stiffeners and web stiffeners under axial compression, the paper revised the current direct strengths method and new proposals considered distortional and local interaction buckling were made. The proposed method was verified by the finite element analysis results and the test results. It shows that the member strength predicted by the proposed method is more accurate than the present method and agrees well with the test data. Furthermore, compared with the results of the finite element method and hand method, the hand method for calculating elastic buckling critical stress of web-stiffened lipped channels with complex edge stiffeners was validated.

To provide effective technological means for evaluation of the pilot’s information processing capacity for combat missions, tactical capability, command capability and cognitive decision-making capacity to compensate for the deficiency in the paper and pencil test, psychological dynamoscopy and other technological means used for traditional pilot’s cognitive decision-making capacity evaluation. Based on distributed computing technology, build a topological structure of the evaluation system, design a background of typical combat mission, and simulate combat control interface and process; based on software engineering, establish records, manage and analyze the evaluation technology of process data. The result of this study is that a scientific method and objective measurement means need to be provided for “real” evaluation of the pilot’s cognitive decision-making capacity.

Abstract Background There is growing awareness of the role of information technology in evidence-based practice. The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of organizational context and nurse characteristics in explaining variation in nurses’ use of personal digital assistants (PDAs) and mobile Tablet PCs for accessing evidence-based information. The Promoting Action on Research Implementation in Health Services (PARIHS) model provided the framework for studying the impact of providing nurses with PDA-supported, evidence-based practice resources, and for studying the organizational, technological, and human resource variables that impact nurses’ use patterns. Methods A survey design was used, involving baseline and follow-up questionnaires. The setting included 24 organizations representing three sectors: hospitals, long-term care (LTC) facilities, and community organizations (home care and public health). The sample consisted of 710 participants (response rate 58%) at Time 1, and 469 for whom both Time 1 and Time 2 follow-up data were obtained (response rate 66%). A hierarchical regression model (HLM) was used to evaluate the effect of predictors from all levels simultaneously. Results The Chi square result indicated PDA users reported using their device more frequently than Tablet PC users (p = 0.001). Frequency of device use was explained by ‘breadth of device functions’ and PDA versus Tablet PC. Frequency of Best Practice Guideline use was explained by ‘willingness to implement research,’ ‘structural and electronic resources,’ ‘organizational slack time,’ ‘breadth of device functions’ (positive effects), and ‘slack staff’ (negative effect). Frequency of Nursing Plus database use was explained by ‘culture,’ ‘structural and electronic resources,’ and ‘breadth of device functions’ (positive effects), and ‘slack staff’ (negative). ‘Organizational culture’ (positive), ‘breadth of device functions’ (positive), and ‘slack staff ‘(negative) were associated with frequency of Lexi/PEPID drug dictionary use. Conclusion Access to PDAs and Tablet PCs supported nurses’ self-reported use of information resources. Several of the organizational context variables and one individual nurse variable explained variation in the frequency of information resource use.

Abstract Twenty-seven nanopeptides derived from the matrix (M) protein of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) were screened for their ability to elicit a recall interferon-γ (IFN-γ) response from the splenocytes of BALB/c mice following DNA vaccination and a booster vaccination with recombinant vaccinia virus rWR-PRRSV-M. We identified two peptides (amino acid residues K93FITSRCRL and F57GYMTFVHF) as CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) epitopes. These peptides elicited significant numbers of IFN-γ secreting cells, compared with other M nonapeptides and one irrelevant nonapeptide. Bioinformatics analysis showed that the former is an H-2Kd-restricted CTL epitope, and the latter is an H-2Dd-restricted CTL epitope. Multiple amino acid sequence alignment among different PRRSV M sequences submitted to GenBank indicated that these two CTL epitopes are strongly conserved, and they should therefore be considered for further research on the mechanisms of cellular immune responses to PRRSV.

Quantitative evaluation of rock dynamic disaster intensity is a challenging and difficult task in the field of earth science. In this article, the dynamic compression tests of granite under different impact velocities are carried out, and the energy evolution characteristics of the dynamic failure process of granite are analyzed. The dynamic fracture characteristics of granite were studied by using computed tomography and section scanning equipment. The results show that the energy dissipation and energy accumulation mechanism of granite under dynamic loading are fundamentally changed with the increase of impact disturbance strength, which leads to the transformation of the failure mode from the tension-type sheet crack under low-speed impact to the complex network crack coupled by tension and shear under high-speed impact. At the same time, the greater the impact velocity, the larger the macroscopic crack density, the more uneven the particle distribution on the fracture section, the greater the roughness, and the higher the rock mass fracture degree. In accordance with the results, the energy distribution ratio is proposed to quantitatively characterize the coupling effect of energy dissipation and energy accumulation in the dynamic failure process of granite and to reflect its dynamic failure intensity. The higher the energy distribution ratio, the stronger the energy coupling effect and the more intense the dynamic failure of the rock mass.

The pH value, glucose content, glycolytic potential, and expression levels of five glycolytic enzymes in lamb longissimus dorsi muscle at different time after slaughter were compared and analyzed, which treated at different cooling rates and stored at different temperatures. The impact of two steps in the process of ultra-fast chilling on the expression levels of glycolytic enzymes was determined. The regulatory mechanism of ultra-fast chilling on the glycolytic rate was elucidated from the perspective of protein expression. The results showed that ultra-fast chilling treatment significantly delayed the decrease of pH and the increase of glycolytic rate, promoted the expression levels of aldolase (ALDOA), glycogen phosphorylase (PYGM), and triosephosphate isomerase (TPI1), and inhibited the expression levels of phosphofructokinase (PFKM) and phosphoglycerate kinase (PGK). After cooling treatment, refrigeration and controlled freezing-point storage delayed glycolysis by inhibiting the expression level of PGK, without altering the effect of ultra-fast chilling. The expression level of PFKM was positively correlated with the rate of glycolysis at different temperatures. It was found that different glycolytic enzymes had different responses to temperature changes. Ultra-fast chilling affected energy supply and demand by changing the expression of enzymes involved in glycolysis. The high expression level of PFKM was associated with fast glycolysis. PFKM can be regarded as a key enzyme in the ultra-fast chilling process.

[Objective] To improve the drying quality of pumpkins. [Methods] This study conducted experiments on hot air drying, vacuum drying, and combined hot air-vacuum drying, these drying characteristics were evaluated and compared based on unit energy consumption, rehydration ratio, and color difference indicators. Combining BP neural network model with genetic algorithm, combined with entropy weight and weighted scoring method, a multi-objective comprehensive optimization was carried out for the combined hot air-vacuum drying of pumpkins. [Results] Under the same conditions, the highest drying efficiency was hot air drying; And the findings revealed that at drying temperatures was 55 ℃, with a moisture content transition point of 30%, the combined drying method reduced the drying time by 52.63%, compared to vacuum drying. The lowest unit energy consumption was vacuum drying; The worst rehydration performance was hot air drying. The best color was vacuum drying. The optimal drying parameters determined by the genetic algorithm combined with a BP neural network model were a hot air drying temperature of 65 ℃, conversion point moisture content of 50%, and vacuum drying temperature of 56.050 9 ℃. Verification experiments demonstrated that the average relative errors between the genetic algorithm optimized values and the experimental values for unit energy consumption, rehydration ratio, and color difference were 2.5%, 5.53%, and 4.84%, respectively, all lower than 6%. [Conclusion] The combined hot air-vacuum drying of pumpkin integrates the advantages of both hot air drying and vacuum drying, and combined with BP neural network genetic algorithm model can optimize the process parameters for pumpkin hot air vacuum drying.

Tunnels represent complex, high-risk, and technically demanding underground construction projects. The safety of construction workers in tunnels is influenced by various factors, including physiological indicators, tunnel dimensions, and internal environmental conditions. Analyzing safety based solely on static factors is inadequate for modern tunnel engineering safety management requirements. To address this challenge, this paper provides a comprehensive analysis of factors impacting safety and employs the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to identify seven significant factors with high importance: body temperature, heart rate, internal temperature, internal humidity, CO concentration, chlorine concentration, and the relative positioning of personnel. Considering these factors essential for assessing worker safety, we introduce a novel model named Tunnel-APH-AD. For training models aimed at anomaly detection, we performed data augmentation and utilized four distinct machine learning models. Additionally, ensemble learning techniques were applied to aggregate the predictions from individual models, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of detecting safety states for tunnel workers. We also evaluated the performance of these models on out-of-distribution (OOD) samples to test their robustness and generalizability. The experimental results indicate that, under similar ventilation and tunnel conditions, the ensemble learning model exhibits superior overall performance compared to individual models, underscoring the effectiveness of model combination in improving the accuracy and reliability of safety alerts. Through experimental validation, this study provides interpretable, scalable, and scientifically generalized applications of machine learning theories in systems for tunnel construction worker safety alerts. These findings contribute to advancing safety management practices in tunnel engineering, enabling proactive and effective measures to mitigate potential risks and ensure the well-being of workers.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common primary neoplasms of the liver and one of the most common solid tumors in the world. Its global incidence is increasing and it has become the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths. There is growing evidence that chemokines play an important role in the tumor microenvironment, regulating the migration and localization of immune cells in tissues and are critical for the function of the immune system. This review comprehensively analyses the expression and activity of chemokines in the TME of HCC and describes their interrelationship with hepatocarcinogenesis and progression. Special attention is given to the role of chemokine-chemokine receptors in the regulation of immune cell accumulation in the TME. Therapeutic strategies targeting tumor-promoting chemokines or the induction/release of beneficial chemokines are reviewed, highlighting the potential value of natural products in modulating chemokines and their receptors in the treatment of HCC. The in-depth discussion in this paper provides a theoretical basis for the treatment of HCC. It is an important reference for new drug development and clinical research.

Acute type A aortic dissection (aTAAD) is a common aortic disease with a very high mortality rate. Due to its frequent involvement of vessels above aortic arch, it is highly prone to cause neurological complications. This review comprehensively elaborates on the possible risk factors of aTAAD combined with neurological complications, and summarizes the commonly used surgical treatment strategies, in order to provide a theoretical basis for finding intervention methods for aTAAD combined with neurological complications.

Cistanche deserticola is one of the precious traditional Chinese medicines that can be eaten fresh. Its highly active life and zoning restrictions cause it to brown, soften, and even mildew when being transported and stored. The processing technology and preservation and storage techniques were analyzed by thoroughly reading literatures in this field. Moreover, the advantages and disadvantages of different processing methods were analyzed, and the development direction of C. deserticola processing technology was prospected.

Maintaining optimal cerebral perfusion during cardiopulmonary bypass and circulatory arrest is basis of intraoperative management of aortic arch surgery. Various cerebral protection techniques including hypothermia, cerebral perfusion, drug protection and blood gas management have been used in the clinic, but the optimal strategy remains difficult to determine. The clinical outcome of cerebral protection in aortic arch surgery largely depends on brain temperature, circulatory arrest time and cerebral perfusion at the time of circulatory arrest. The optimal brain protection strategy should be individualized treatment on the basis of comprehensive brain monitoring, so as to effectively reduce the occurrence of brain injury. This article summarizes the means or indicators of brain monitoring and management during cardiopulmonary bypass in aortic arch surgery, as well as perioperative brain protection strategies, in order to guide the clinical practice of intraoperative brain protection in aortic arch surgery.

After more than 20 years of development, the complications of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) have been significantly reduced, but the incidence of stroke has not been significantly reduced. In recent years, a variety of cerebral embolic protection device (CEPD) have been applied in clinical practice, but their effectiveness is still controversial due to the lack of high ⁃ quality clinical evidence. This article reviews progress on the risk factors for stroke and the characteristics of intraoperative CEPD in TAVR, so as to provide reference for the selection of TAVR cases and the formulation of cerebral embolic protection strategies.

Objective To compare the clinical effects of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) between the left anterior small thoracotomy (LAST) and lower-end sternal splitting (LESS) approaches for coronary artery disease. Methods In total, 110 patients who underwent LAST from October 2015 to December 2020 in Tianjin Chest Hospital were selected as the observation group. Patients who underwent the LESS approach during the same period were analyzed. The propensity score was calculated by a logistic regression model, and nearest-neighbor matching was used for 1:1 matching. Results The length of hospital stay and ventilator support time were significantly shorter in the LAST than LESS group. The target vessels in the obtuse marginal branch and posterior left ventricular artery branch grafts were significantly more numerous in the LAST than LESS group, but those in the right coronary artery graft were significantly less numerous in the LAST group. Conclusions CABG using either the LAST or LESS approach is safe and effective, especially in low-risk patients. The LAST approach can achieve complete revascularization for multivessel lesions and has the advantages of less trauma and an aesthetic outcome. However, it requires a certain learning curve to master the surgical techniques and has specific surgical indications.

With the gradual increase in the application of lower limb robots in motor function rehabilitation, there is a need to standardize the clinical application of lower limb rehabilitation robots in China. This consensus integrates the characteristics of lower limb rehabilitation robots applications in the treatment for patients with hemiplegia, paraplegia, cerebral palsy, and other common lower limb dysfunctions in China. In addition, referencing the latest research, this consensus elaborates on the working principles, classification, clinical application (indications and contraindications, working parameters and operating procedures, safety), and recommendations on clinical application (hemiplegia, paraplegia, musculoskeletal diseases, childhood diseases and other systemic diseases) when using lower limb rehabilitation robots in the current context. Lower limb rehabilitation robots are well-suitable for patients with walking difficulties and long-term bedridden condition. According to the patient's posture during rehabilitation training, they can be classified into sitting or supine robots, upright robots, and assisted upright robots. The treatment parameters of lower limb robots are determined by the patient's weight and lower limb's length, range of motion, and muscle strength, among which guiding force, walking speed, and anti-gravity are important parameters that need to be adjusted. There are many factors that affect the safety using of lower limb rehabilitation robots, and it is usually necessary to evaluate the safety by monitoring the occurrence of adverse events during robot training. Studies have shown that combining lower limb rehabilitation robot training with conventional rehabilitation therapy or emerging rehabilitation technologies such as virtual reality and transcranial direct current stimulation improves motor function in stroke patients with hemiplegia. However, determining whether its training effect is superior to conventional rehabilitation therapy requires further clinical study (high-level evidence). Studies have also shown that lower limb rehabilitation robot training can improve walking function (medium to high-level evidence), cardiopulmonary function (low to medium-level evidence), lower urinary tract function (low-level evidence), and balance function (low to medium-level evidence) in paraplegic patients. Medium-level evidence suggests that paraplegic patients with lower limb spasms can undergo lower limb rehabilitation robot training. Studies have shown that lower limb robot training can improve the pain, range of motion, muscle strength of lower limb, and walking ability of patients with musculoskeletal diseases. It is mainly used in post-total knee arthroplasty (medium-level evidence), post-total hip arthroplasty (medium to low-level evidence), and osteoarthritis (medium to low-level evidence). Studies have shown that lower limb rehabilitation robot assisted gait training (medium-level evidence) and joint activity training (low-level evidence) are beneficial for improving lower limb function, gross movement, and gait in children. Lower limb robot assisted gait training combined with exercise therapy (medium-level evidence) can help improve walking speed, endurance, balance ability, and other abilities in children.

The induction of ferroptosis is suggested to be a potential therapeutic strategy for cancers. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are reported to play an important role in cell death processes. This study aims to construct and validate a risk model based on ferroptosis-related miRNAs (FR_miRNAs) to predict prognosis and identify novel therapeutic targets for osteosarcoma. Data from the Therapeutically Applicable Research to Generate Effective Treatments database are used as the training cohort. A prognostic signature based on two FR_miRNAs (miR-635 and miR-593) is developed using univariate Cox regression, least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression, and multivariate Cox regression analyses. The area under the curve values of the prognostic signature to predict the 1-year, 2-year, 3-year, and 5-year overall survival rates in patients with osteosarcoma are 0.782, 0.781, 0.722, and 0.777, respectively, indicating a good predictive ability. Based on the risk score, patients are divided into low-risk and high-risk groups. Patients with high-risk scores are associated with poor survival. The risk level is determined to be an independent prognostic factor. A nomogram is established for predicting prognosis. The expression levels of PRNP (miR-635-related ferroptosis-related gene (FRG); P=0.024) and HILPDA (miR-593-related FRG; P=0.025) are significantly different between the low-risk and high-risk groups. All results are validated in an external cohort (GSE39040). The results of the functional assay reveal that miR-635 mimics inhibit osteosarcoma (OS) cell proliferation and migration, whereas miR-593 overexpression exerts the opposite effect. In conclusion, miR-635 and miR-593 exert contrasting regulatory effects on OS cell proliferation and migration.

Low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) is often used to prevent perioperative venous thrombosis after surgery, but aspirin is also recommended by academics. Studies were searched in electronic databases until February 24, 2023. We performed a meta-analysis to evaluate the safety and efficacy of aspirin and LMWH for venous thromboembolism (VTE) prophylaxis in patients after orthopedic surgery. The outcomes were death from any causes, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), etc. This study was registered with INPLASY, number 202320117. Six randomized controlled trials enrolled 13,851 patients with postoperative joint surgery. The risk of DVT was comparable between the two groups when aspirin was combined with mechanical devices (RR 0.61 [95% CI 0.27–1.39], I² = 62%, P = 0.24). No significant differences in all cause death, PE, wound infection, and wound complication were found between the aspirin and LMWH groups. In this meta-analysis, the mortality rate was comparable between the aspirin and LMWH groups. However, aspirin alone had a higher risk of DVT than LMWH. Based on the results of this meta-analysis, we suggest aspirin combined with mechanical devices for VTE prophylaxis in patients after orthopedic surgery.

Clear aligner (CA) therapy has become popular worldwide but there is little research in the area from the perspective of bibliometrics. The present study aimed to identify the most impactful studies on CA over its 20 years of publishing since 2002.

Brucellosis is an important zoonotic chronic infectious disease caused by Brucella. The disease mainly infects animals, such as sheep, cattle, pigs, and dogs, it can also infect humans, and sheep are the most seriously infected animals in China. The incidence of brucellosis has been rising annually in recent years, which has resulted in significant financial losses for the sheep business. Therefore, this systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to assess the seroprevalence of brucellosis infection in sheep in China from 2003 to October 2022. A sum of 92 relevant articles were retrieved from three Chinese databases and three English databases, and they were analyzed by RStudio software using a random-effects model. In accordance with the conclusions, the pooled incidence of brucellosis infection in sheep was 1.09% in China. Regarding the time distribution, sheep’s brucellosis seroprevalence was the highest from 2012 to 2016 (1.83%, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.94-3.01) and the seroprevalence was the lowest during 2016-2022 (0.81%, 95% CI: 0.43-1.31). The regional distribution revealed that Northeast China has the highest seroprevalence (2.94%, 95% CI: 0.07-9.81), while that was the lowest in the East China (0.23%, 95%CI: 0.05-0.52). Among different provinces, Hebei Province had the highest incidence (17.41%, 95% CI: 17.41-21.77), and it was the lowest in Guangdong Province (0.08%, 95% CI: 0.02-0.18). Meta-analysis revealed that brucellosis infection was widely spread in sheep in China, thus, In order to lessen the financial losses and risks to human health brought on by brucellosis infection, it is vital to increase the control of the disease in animals.

This paper explores how attack teams effectively counter trace-back efforts to safeguard their anonymity and security in network attack and defense confrontations. As network attacks become more prevalent and complex, attackers constantly use more covert and sophisticated methods to conduct attacks, making tracking and tracing a critical challenge in cybersecurity. The paper begins by evaluating joint attack trace-back techniques and methods, which include those based on network traffic analysis, malicious code analysis, and log auditing. Simulated experiments in natural network environments validate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed strategies. The research findings demonstrate that anti-tracing strategies based on offensive confrontation can effectively enhance the anonymity of attack teams and their ability to withstand trace-back attacks, offering new insights and methods for cybersecurity defense.
