The emergence of fundamentally novel technological solutions in the field of gene therapy today, the formation of the priority and the development of genetic technologies create serious prerequisites for the beginning of a new Fusion era in ophthalmology in the near future. This review, in its first part, presents the results of fundamental and clinical studies on the use of viral and non-viral systems for the delivery of genetic material in ophthalmology. The second part of the review will focus on genetic therapeutic strategies (gene replacement, gene suppression, genomic editing using CRISPR / Cas9 technology, priming and transposon editing) that have been used in ophthalmology over the past several years.

This paper presents the results of applying hydrophobic deep eutectic solvents (HDESs) for the extraction of metal ions from a real hydrochloric acid solution after leaching the cathodes of three different types of Li-ion batteries. Aliquat 336-, D2EHPA- and menthol-based HDESs developed by us were used in this study. The optimal HCl leaching conditions chosen are 80 °C, 2 M HCl, 6 h, solid:liquid ratio = 1:25. The results of stepwise separation of the major elements using extraction with HDESs are presented. The HDESs used in the cross-current extraction made it possible to extract all elements with extraction ratios above 98%. It was shown that the suggested method could potentially be used in the process of recycling end-of-life Li-ion batteries.

Here we report on the results concerning the influence of ultrasound on the dissolution process of metal oxides CoO, Ni2O3 and Mn2O3 in choline chloride/sulfosalicylic acid as a deep eutectic solvent. The mechanism of dissolution under cavitation conditions with ultrasonic assistance is described. Theoretical research resulted in equations describing the dissolution process kinetics and linking its basic parameters. Optimal conditions for the most effective ultrasound application were found. Experimental data on dissolution kinetics of metal oxides in deep eutectic solvents was also obtained. It was discovered that experimental data correlates well with theoretical calculations, which confirms the correctness of developing a picture about the physicochemical nature of the process under study.

The extraction of non-ferrous metal ions (Co, Ni, Cu, Al) from chloride solutions with poly(propylene glycol) 425 was studied. The values of the distribution coefficients and the degree of metal ions extraction are determined in the system under study. The mechanism of metal extraction in the poly(propylene glycol) 425 – sodium chloride– water extraction system in the presence of KSCN is described. The possibility of selective extraction of Co (II), Ni (II), Cu (II) and Al (III) from chloride solutions with poly(propylene glycol) 425 in the presence of KSCN is shown. This article presents an ecologically safe aqueous two-phase system based on poly(ethylene oxide) with a molecular weight of 1500, designed for complex extraction of Ni(II), Co(II), Fe(III), Mn(II), Zn(II), Cu(II), and Al(III) from nitrate solutions. A kinetic dependence has been investigated for a distribution ratio for the metals examined. The influence of pH-values, temperature, initial metal concentration, and nitric acid content have on the extraction of a wide range of metals in the heterogeneous poly(ethylene oxide) 1500-NaNO3-H2O system has been discovered. As a result, the complex extraction of metals (EMe >, 60%) was achieved in one step of extraction without introducing additional chemicals into the system.

The non-linear equation of the radial oscillations of a liquid ball in an immiscible liquid under the exposure of time-varying sound pressure was obtained. The behavioral features of a liquid spherical drop placed in such a media were analyzed in the presence of ultrasound irradiations. The slowing-down effect of the extracted metal ions under its exposure has been studied for the first time, using theoretical and experimental approaches. This phenomenon mechanism was revealed, and analytical equations for the mass transfer rate as a function of the sound pressure oscillations amplitude and the substrate ultrasonic treatment time are presented. Experimental studies of Fe3+ ions extracted from chloride and nitrate solutions in systems based on water-soluble polymers were carried out, and a convincing coincidence with the results of theoretical calculations was established. The conditions for achieving the desired extraction efficiency when applying the ultrasonic stimulating effect are specified. The derived result opens the complementary possibility in operations, with the separateness of extraction processes, that which has the essential practical importance.

In this work, a new hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent (HDES) based on trioctylphosphine oxide and di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid was obtained. The formation of HDES was confirmed by NMR and FT-IR spectroscopy. The physical properties of the synthesized HDES were studied, density, dynamic viscosity, refractive index in the range of 15–60 °C, and phase diagram. The possibility of extraction of Co(II) and Al(III) ions from nitrate aqueous solutions was studied. The regularities of the interfacial distribution of metal ions were studied depending on the time of the extraction process, the ratio of components in HDES and pH of the aqueous phase. It has been shown that this HDES can be used for the selective extraction of metal ions.

In this work, a new hydrophobic eutectic solvent (HES) based on bis(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)phosphinic acid and menthol was synthesized and characterized for the first time. Important physical properties of the prepared HES, such as the density, viscosity, refractive index, as a function of temperature in the range 15–60 °C, were obtained. The new HES was applied for the extraction of Co, Ni, Cu, Mn, Al, and Fe from chloride solution. The extraction rate of Fe(III) reached 44%, while for other metals the extraction rate was not more than 3%. The potential possibility of the selective extraction of iron ions from an aqueous solution of a mixture of metals using the proposed HES was shown.

Цель. Оценить влияние комбинированной терапии на когнитивные нарушения и динамику показателей суточного мониторирования артериального давления (СМАД) у пациентов с артериальной гипертонией (АГ), ассоциированной с ишемической болезнью сердца (ИБС).Материалы и методы. Обследованы 42 пациента (20 мужчин, 22 женщины) с АГ I-III ст., ассоциированной с ИБС, в возрасте от 52 до 74 лет (средний возраст 63±10,7 года). Длительность течения АГ составила в среднем 14,8±9,4 года, ИБС - 5,2±1,8 года. На момент включения в исследование все пациенты имели цифры АД выше целевых: среднее систолическое АД (САД) - 162,4±13,1 мм рт. ст., среднее диастолическое АД (ДАД) - 97,6±6,1 мм рт. ст. К базовой терапии (ацетилсалициловая кислота, статины, b-адреноблокаторы), остававшейся неизменной в течение 4 нед до включения и в течение всего периода исследования, назначался престанс в дозе 5/5 мг пациентам с АГ I ст., 10/5 мг - с АГ II ст., 10/10 мг - с АГ III ст. Исходно и через 12 нед проводилась оценка показателей СМАД (BPLab ООО «Петр Телегин»). Психологическое тестирование выполнялось с использованием краткой шкалы оценки когнитивного дефицита (MMSE) и теста «рисования часов». Статистическая обработка - пакет программ Statistica v. 6.0.Результаты. По результатам СМАД на фоне комбинированной терапии (базовая терапия + престанс) целевые значения АД достигнуты у 76,1% пациентов. Отмечено снижение САД на 30,1±2,6 мм рт. ст., ДАД - на 16,2±2,4 мм рт, индекса времени САД - на 28,8±4,4%, индекса времени ДАД - на 31,3±2,4%. У 47,6% пациентов комбинированная терапия привела к нормализации суточного профиля АД. При включении в исследование у 80,9% выявлены когнитивные нарушения, средний балл по шкале MMSE - 25,9 [24, 27], 5 пациентов выполнили тест на 30 баллов. Расстройства высших корковых функций отмечались в основном за счет нарастания нарушений памяти (30; 81,0%), внимания и счета (21; 56,7%), а также восприятия (4; 10,8%) и ориентации (1; 2,7%). Расстройства письма, чтения и речи не регистрировались. Тест «рисования часов» без ошибок выполнили 35,1% больных, 64,9% совершили хотя бы одну ошибку. На фоне комбинированной терапии средний балл по шкале MMSE составил 27 [24, 29]. Регресс расстройства высших корковых функций отмечался в основном за счет снижения нарушений памяти (27; 72,9%), внимания и счета (20; 54%), восприятия (2; 5,4%). Тест «рисования часов» без ошибок был выполнен 40,5% больных, 59,5% совершили хотя бы одну ошибку. Положительная динамика в выявлении когнитивных нарушений обнаружена только у пациентов, достигших целевых цифр АД. У 3 (8,1%) пациентов не отмечено значимой динамики показателей когнитивных нарушений на фоне комбинированной терапии. Статистически значимых различий состояния когнитивных функций у больных АГ, ассоциированной с ИБС, мужского и женского пола не выявлено ( р >0,05).
