Purpose: This study aims to explore the mediating role played by the contradictory behaviour of knowledge sharing and knowledge hiding in the relationship between paradoxical leadership and employee creativity. Design/methodology/approach: A survey was conducted with 276 employees working in information technology firms in India. "To assess the relationship between the constructs, single and parallel mediation analysis of structural equation modelling (SEM) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) have been performed". Findings: This study found that paradoxical leadership is significantly associated with employee creativity. Besides, it has also been found that knowledge sharing has emerged as a mediator that explains the relationship between paradoxical leadership and creativity, while knowledge hiding has not been a mediator to explain the relationship between paradoxical leadership and creativity among employees. According to the study, it was found that discouraging knowledge-hiding behaviour can increase employee knowledge sharing, which in turn fosters employee creativity. Research limitations/implications: Research has examined the relationship between paradoxical leadership and employee creativity in this paradigm, as well as the roles of knowledge sharing and knowledge hiding as mediators. Practical implications: The results of this study will help top management to create strategies for enhancing the relationship between a leader and their subordinates by using effective knowledge management strategies that foster employee creativity. Employee creativity would be facilitated effectively by the paradoxical leader who regulates knowledge-hiding behaviour among employees and promotes knowledge-sharing behaviour. Originality/value: This study addresses the gap in prior research by investigating the role of paradoxical leadership in managing the contradictory behaviours of knowledge sharing and hiding and their impact on employee creativity. As the motivation for knowledge sharing and hiding are inherently distinct, leaders with paradoxical qualities foster a culture of openness and trust to encourage knowledge-sharing while discouraging knowledge-hiding behaviour. By controlling knowledge-hiding behavior empowers employees to make meaningful contributions to the organization's success through effective collaboration and teamwork, allowing for a more innovative and creative workplace. Because preventing knowledge-hiding behaviour is a means to promote knowledge sharing and ultimately foster creativity in an organisation. Purpose: Unlike multinational companies, small and mid-size enterprises (SMEs) have budget constraints and, thereby, cannot invest heavily in improving the creativity of employees. They look for alternative budget-friendly ways to do the same. The authors of the current paper attempt to identify two psychological-based constructs which positively influence creativity among employees. Both these psychological constructs may be improved among the employees using suitable interventions from the human resource (HR) professionals and line managers working in the organization. This study is an attempt to test the influence of organization-based self-esteem (OBSE) and psychological capital (PC) (both malleable) on creative performance behaviour (CPB) among SME employees. Design/methodology/approach: Validated instruments were used to collect data. Structural equation model (SEM) was used to evaluate the 377 responses collected from the employees working in three SME's in India. All three SMEs work in the area of innovative process design and require a high level of creativity among employees. Findings: PC fully mediates the relationship between OBSE and the CPBs of employees. Employees experiencing higher levels of OBSE will develop higher self-esteem, and these employees will exhibit more creative behaviours, increasing the likelihood of achieving creative results. Research limitations/implications: This study provides valuable inputs to the creativity literature as it describes the process of how self-esteem influences the creativity of an employee. HR professionals working in SMEs can work on enhancing the OBSE and PC (both malleable) of employees to improve creativity among employees. The Copyright legal regime in India has largely been a success with the active participation of the judiciary, legislature as well as civil society in the form of practitioners of the law or those the law seeks to protect under this. However, amidst this, a section of the population that has remained mostly underrepresented and hence not beneficiary of the law despite an explicit mention of them in the law is the creative world of the dancers who tend to remain out of the complex legal world. However, owing to the ignorentia juris non excusat principle, awareness generation is definitely the prerogative of the legislature and legal practitioners who are also to ensure that they receive their due protection of the law. But, that is severely lacking coupled with the vagueness of the law that has ripped off the benefits or rights that flow therefrom by advantaging from the uncomplicated attitude of the creative workers. The World Intellectual Property Organization's Performers and Phonograms Treaty lead to amendments in the Copyright Act 1957-codification of performer's rights, exclusive rights of rights and the moral rights of performers under sections 2(qq), 38, 38A and 38B and modifications in other provisions of the Act. In fact, the insertion of section 42A in the year 1999 subsequently protected the rights of performers even outside India. But, all these laws have remained on paper and while it has been a great initiative on the part of the government, the impact assessment of the law reveals a different picture altogether. In this endeavor, the authors have begun a search and journey for unraveling what and how the rights of dancers of the country can be assured when it comes to protecting their creativity, hard work vis-à-vis incentives. The Lockean labor theory and its adequate implementation to the dancers' world in India time and again reflect the grim reality of the big fish eating up the small fish. The attempt in this endeavor is not just protection of the creativity and to ensure that the work or choreographies so created remains as one's own, but also that the human rights of a life of dignity and adequate livelihood is assured. Purpose: This paper aims to examine the drivers of employee creativity and organizational innovation empirically. And to study how employee creativity significantly impacts organizational innovation in a highly competitive market. Design/methodology/approach: This study is grounded in positivism philosophy. The theoretical model is grounded in the dynamic capability view (DCV) and further developed ten hypotheses and sub-hypotheses. To test our research hypotheses the authors utilized psychometric-based instruments. The authors obtained 575 responses from the automobile industry in India after multiple follow-ups. The data were utilized to check the construct validity and tested the authors' research hypotheses using the co-variance-based structural equation modeling (SEM) tool (IBM SPSS AMOS 20.0). Findings: The results support the authors' research hypotheses. The findings of this study conform to the previous findings of the scholars which is an important aspect of the study. In the past various scholars have made an attempt to reproduce the results in different contexts. In a way, it helps to build confidence in the scientific merit of the results. It may be considered as an incremental contribution to the literature but it helps establish confidence in the theory of creativity and innovation. The importance of Creativity is often highlighted in modern organizations especially when it comes to problem solving and decision making, leadership and motivation. However, the concept of creativity, qualitative in its essence, when used abundantly in a technoeconomic and managerial context becomes limited in scope and outcome because of the constant pressures of quantitative parameters like profits and turnover. The present paper is an attempt to liberate this lowly circumscribed notion of creativity and explore its higher, wider and deeper connotations for all round development of the individuals in modern organizations. Purpose ? The world is seeing a large deficit in employable workforce. An employable workforce is developed with appropriate combination of academic and practical skills. Practical skills are better developed with industry intervention rather than in classrooms. Changing trends of economic activity have steadily changed the business thought. The purpose of this paper is to assess the role of industry in developing employability by studying employability from the value chain and ?Demand-Supply? of workforce models. The scope is limited to Indian context. This paper is a part of the research on factors influencing employability in India. Design/methodology/approach ? Despite the sound number of research work on creativity, a few researchers have paid attention to the mediating role of job satisfaction between creativity, adaptive selling, and sales performance. The present study investigates the direct relationship between the salesperson's creativity and adaptive selling on their performance. In addition, the study also examines the role of job satisfaction as a moderator between creativity and adaptive selling and between creativity and sales performance of Indian disserves companies. The study is conducted using a sample of 120 respondents including both salesperson and supervisor from diverse industries in India. Results reveal that there is a significant positive relationship between creativity, adaptive selling, and sales performance. Besides, it shows that job satisfaction moderates the relationship between creativity and sales performance, but there is no relationship between creativity and adaptive selling. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to study the impact of workplace ostracism and defensive silence on employee behavior within an organization. The paper attempts to study the impact of workplace ostracism on employee creativity. The paper also aims to train the employees to withstand the negative effects of workplace ostracism. Design/methodology/approach: This is an empirical study. Primary data were collected from 454 employees working in the service sector in India. The data were collected from an IT sector unit, an insurance company and a bank. Utmost care was taken in order to select organizations where there was frequent interaction between the supervisors and co-workers in order to measure the relevant variables. Mean, standard deviation and correlation were used for descriptive studies, and structural equation modeling was used to measure several dimensions of the hypothesized model. A bootstrap method is used to measure the impact of workplace ostracism on employee creativity. Findings: The study found that defensive silence mediates between workplace ostracism and employee creativity and psychological empowerment moderates between workplace ostracism and employee creativity. Workplace ostracism negatively effects employee creativity and positively influences defensive silence. The study reveals the moderating effect of psychological empowerment on workplace ostracism and employee creativity such that low levels of psychological empowerment negatively influences employee creativity and high level of psychological empowerment has a positive effect on employee creativity. Practical implications: Workplace ostracism is proved to be a stressor. The study contributes to the literature on stressor–strain relationship workplace ostracism and employee creativity. Psychological empowerment has indirect influence on workplace ostracism and employee creativity. Organizations may train employees to combat the negative effects of workplace ostracism through concepts like psychological empowerment. The paper investigates the effects of HRM practices on organisational innovation performance: the mediating effects of employees' creativity and perceived organisational support in the Indian hospitality industry. A conceptual model is developed to examine the relationship among four constructs namely human resource management practices, perceived organisational support, and employee creativity as antecedents of organisational innovation performance and seven research hypotheses are empirically tested using structural equation modelling (SEM). All the posited seven hypotheses are supported. The results indicate that the human resource management practices and perceived organisational support could indeed affect employee creativity with regard to organisational innovation performance. In addition, the mediating role of employee creativity and perceived organisational support is also confirmed in this research. Purpose - The current exploratory study is an attempt to discover the factors affecting a bank's decision to adopt Internet banking in India. Particularly, it seeks to examine the relationship between the bank's adoption decision and various bank and market characteristics. Design/methodology/approach - The data for this study consist of panel data of 88 banks in India covering the financial years 1997-1998 to 2004-2005. Logistic regression technique is employed to study the relationship. Findings - The results show that the larger banks, banks with younger age, private ownership, higher expenses for fixed assets, higher deposits and lower branch intensity evidence a higher probability of adoption of this new technology. Banks with lower market share also see the Internet banking technology as a means to increase the market share by attracting more and more customers through this new channel of delivery. Further, the adoption of Internet banking by other banks increases the probability that a decision to adopt will be made. Research limitations/implications - The primary limitation of this study is the scope and size of its sample as well as other variables (e.g. market, environmental, regulatory etc.) which may have an effect on the decision of the banks to adopt Internet banking. Originality/value - An understanding of the factors affecting this choice is essential both for economists studying the determinants of growth and for the creators and producers of such technologies. From this perspective, understanding the factors determining the adoption of technology becomes highly relevant from the policy point of view. Moreover, the studies on the adoption of financial innovations are related to developed markets, e.g. US or European banking markets. Purpose: Utilising componential theory of creativity the study aims to examines the roles of green transformational leadership, organizational culture and green mindfulness as antecedents of green creativity. Design/methodology/approach: A three-wave data collection method was used to collect data from the 304 hotel employees belonging to hotels located in the tourist's location of India. The study used PROCESS macro to test the hypothesized model. Findings: The results found a significant serial mediating effect of green organizational culture and green mindfulness for strengthening the association between green transformational leadership and green creativity. Practical implications: The study establishes that a transformational leadership can bring about a much-needed green turnaround and thus makes significant practical contribution. As customers are becoming environmentally conscious, the industry can translate the green practices and motivate their subordinates by exhibiting the environmentally conscious behaviour and exhibit the same in their actions at work. Purpose: The study examined the relationship between e-learning usage, creativity, e-learning utility and academic performance among undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), India. Design/methodology/approach: The data from 480 students were collected using a cross-sectional survey design. Pearson correlation analysis was performed in order to investigate the association between the variables. Findings: The results revealed a significant positive correlation between time of use and academic performance (r = 0.294, p < 0.01). However, there was no significant correlation between time of use and the usability of e-learning in the attainment of learning outcomes. Furthermore, there was a negative correlation between time of use and creativity (r = −0.170, p < 0.01). Practical implications: The results indicate that educators ought to promote consistent utilization of e-learning platforms to enhance scholarly achievements. However, learners should exercise prudence in their usage, as an over-reliance on these platforms may impede their creativity. In this paper, we draw on three ethnographic studies of surrogacy we carried out separately in different contexts: the western US state of California, the south Indian state of Karnataka, and the western Russian metropolis of St Petersburg. In our interviews with surrogate mothers, intended parents, and surrogacy professionals, we traced the meanings and ideologies through which they understood the clinical labour of surrogacy. We found that in the US, interviewed surrogates, intended parents and professionals understood surrogacy as an exchange of both gifts and commodities, where gift-giving, reciprocity, and relatedness between surrogates and intended parents were the major tropes. In India, differing narratives of surrogacy were offered by its different parties: whilst professionals and intended parents framed it as a win-win exchange with an emphasis on the economic side, the interviewed surrogate mothers talked about surrogacy as creative labour of giving life. In Russia, approaches to surrogacy among the interviewed surrogate mothers, professionals and intended parents overlapped in framing it as work and a businesslike commodity exchange. We suggest these three different ways of ethical reasoning about the clinical labour of surrogacy, including justifications of women's incorporation into this labour, were situated in local moral frameworks. We name them "repro-regional moral frameworks", inspired by earlier work on moral frameworks as well as on reproductive nationalisms and transnational reproduction. Building on these findings, we argue that any international or global regulation of surrogacy, or indeed any moral stance on it, needs to take these local differences into account. Background Nurses play a dominant role in the healthcare sector. However, the working condition of nurses in India is far from satisfactory due to a variety of factors. This is further compounded by the lack of respect for nurses and their profession. Therefore, there is a need to examine factors that could mitigate this situation. Objective The objective of this paper is to examine the relationship between authentic leadership and employee creativity, while determining the mediating effect of knowledge sharing behaviour and moderating effect of use of information technology on this association. Design A questionnaire-based survey was used to collect the data. Macro process (Hayes) was used to examine the mediating role of knowledge sharing behaviour and the moderating role of use of information technology in the relationship between authentic leadership and employee creativity. Settings Data was collected from 43 small- and medium-sized hospitals in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Participants The participants in the present study were 405 nurses and their 81 supervisors from the above hospitals. Results Results indicate that authentic leadership is positively linked to the creativity of employees. Further, knowledge sharing behaviour is found to mediate the relationship between authentic leadership and employee creativity, while use of information technology acts as a moderator between knowledge sharing behaviour and employee creativity. The findings of this investigation can help healthcare managers understand the importance of knowledge creation and knowledge sharing among healthcare workers. This paper draws attention to the need for hospital administrators to establish an appropriate information technology infrastructure to effectively manage the knowledge pool of the organization. This study also highlights the importance of effective leadership style, namely authentic leadership, in positively influencing employee creativity in healthcare institutions, a service oriented industry. Conclusion This study contributes to existing research on authentic leadership and employee creativity by showing that knowledge sharing behaviour and use of information technology are important and relevant variables that affect the degree of influence that authentic leadership has on employee creativity. Purpose: In the last two decades, risk reporting has followed a normative and calculative culture rather than the "materiality" of data. Although integrated reporting (IR) has become flooded with extra information, it does not adequately disseminate material information to stakeholders. In addition, the poor tone from the top diminishes creativity. This study aims to investigate how companies creatively address issues of the materiality of risk information in IR and how IR can be aligned with enterprise risk management. Design/methodology/approach: Qualitative research was conducted via interviews with 50 chief risk officers and senior management executives in the Indian and UK insurance markets. Findings: Overall, five institutions were observed to exhibit elements of being early adopters of institutional creativity. This confirmed the present study's theoretical contribution of five divergent types of early adopters. The motivations for creativity are reflected in the resources available to these institutions. Purpose: This study aims to explore the mediating role of employee work engagement in the relationship between training and creativity in the education sector in India. Design/methodology/approach: The sample for this study consisted of 260 faculty members from 11 public universities in the Punjab region. Partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was utilized to test the hypotheses. Findings: The results of the study revealed that training has a significant direct and indirect effect on employee creativity through employee work engagement. The findings suggest that training can stimulate work engagement, highlighting the importance of fostering employee engagement for enhancing creativity. Research limitations/implications: While the method used in this study may not facilitate direct generalizations, it offers valuable insights into prevalent discursive strategies found in numerous contemporary public organizations. Practical implications: The findings offer insights for designing targeted training interventions to enhance work engagement and foster creativity among faculty members in the education sector. A woman entrepreneur may be defined as a confident, innovative and creative woman capable of achieving economic independence individually or in collaboration, generating employment opportunities to others through initiating, establishing and running enterprise by keeping pace with her personal, family and social life. This clinical practice guide traces the role of art and creativity in mental health and well-being. This is a difficult task since the evidence from research spans a wide variety of fine art forms and different aspects of creativity. Hence, we have tried to combine both evidence-based research as well as our clinical experience and practice in the field of arts in utilizing creative pursuits as a life skill and a well-being initiative. The focus of the guidelines is preventive and promotional with relevance to mental health. We also hope that this should be a beginning in encouraging psychiatrists in India to use art-based therapies in their clinical practice. This will further our knowledge of how arts can be a therapeutic intervention as well as a well-being tool. It will also build on the evidence base on how art impacts our mental health. Creativity is undeniably one of humanity's most valued traits; the capacity to produce new ideas, innovations, and art is perhaps the most striking characteristic of the human brain. "Art" has evolved, and what is art, has been redefined over human history. The domain of "art" refers to the diverse range of activities that often use imagination to express ideas and feelings. Whilst the boundaries of what constitutes art or creativity may sometimes appear esoteric, we still can identify a range of creative pursuits: visual, musical, verbal, literary, dance, or creative pursuits related to our body movements and a range of forms of newer integrated forms and those that use technology are recognized as art forms. As in most ancient traditions, in India, we have a plethora of fine art traditions many of which have a highly systematic practice around their learning. We believe this is an asset that we need to nurture and celebrate. We begin by tracing the footsteps of Indian fine arts being a mental health promotional tool in ancient India. We then proceed to describe the scope of creative pursuits for different populations and its relevance in school and child mental health. We offer suggestions as to how creative art forms can be utilized in a practical way in daily life, schools, and care of the elderly. It is to be noted that the entire focus here is the process of creativity and not the completed product or the achievement related to the same. Background: Artist persona has always remained a point of interest in research realm. Though there exist several works in this line, but they focused on associating creative psyche with psychopathology. Few studies tried exploring the genetic and biological factors, but only a handful work tried exploring underlying personality traits in creative process. Even those works also focused on understanding basic factors like extraversion, neuroticism, etc. Less work is in line with other facets such as ego functions, attachment, and narcissism. Those existing have shade an ambivalent light. The present study tried to bridge this gap by delving deeper into artist personality. Method and Materials: A sample of 120 professional artists, engaged in vocal music, dance, acting, and painting for at least three years, was selected from Kolkata, West Bengal. A control group of 120 non-artist professionals from selfemployment or MNC service sectors, with no formal training in any art form, was also included. Descriptive-comparative research design with multistage sampling was used, and all participants underwent a screening process. The General Health Questionnaire-12 (GHQ-12) was administered to rule out the mental health morbidity, with a cut-off score of 2. The main instruments used were the Ego Function Assessment Scale, Narcissistic Personality Inventory, and Attachment Style Questionnaire. Data analysis involved descriptive, multivariate, and correlational statistical methods. Results: Results revealed a significant role of ego flexibility, attachment patterns, and adaptive narcissism in artistic endeavours. Statistically significant differences were found between the artist and control groups, along with significant correlations among these three variables. These findings further elucidate the personality differences observed in the artist group. Crowdsourcing offers on-demand access to large numbers of human workers to implement new forms of human–computer collaborative functionalities that can be seamlessly integrated into advanced software and algorithms. However, crowdsourcing tasks are primarily undertaken by urban rather than rural workers. To enable the development of skilled rural employment, this research aims to assess rural crowdsourcing workers' spatial reasoning and creative abilities and their abilities to solve irregular strip packing problems associated with the manufacture of sheet materials. The study conducted experiments and data collection with 140 rural Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) workers located in six states of India. The statistical analyses of the data collected from seven rural BPO firms (140 rural workers) reveal that rural workers can achieve a 2D packing efficiency that is up to 8% higher than that of commercial algorithm outcomes. The results suggest that rural crowdsourcing can lead to effective job creation, skill development, and, for a modest cost, it can support industries that employ CAD/CAM systems to generate geometric data for common manufacturing processes. Background & Objective: There is an increasing demand for computer aided instruments in medicine to assist doctors and technicians. This paper presents a simulation of skeletal model of human upper extremity, which monitors position, orientation, trajectory, force and torque generated by upper limb movement. Materials and Methods: An artificial upper limb model is prepared with servo motors and aluminium T- section which moves in 2D vertical XY plane and whose control is through PC through user friendly software. In first phase: Values of time, power and torque were estimated for each joint after making the robot-model move in flexion and extension with different weights. In second phase: same values were estimated after strapping subjects arm and making the robot-model move in flexion and extension. Results: Values of Power and Time taken by joints to lift weight at different speeds showed that torque and power are higher for higher flexion angle as well as higher load value. Experimental values for flexion of wrist (p<0.05), elbow (p<0.01), shoulder (p<0.05) with subjects, showed that time taken by elbow was lesser than that taken by wrist and time taken by shoulder was still lesser than elbow for same amount of weight lifted. Results considering force sensor showed that motor torque rises when load is lifted against gravity. Conclusion: This model could be used as a tool in neuromuscular disorders for enhancing the functionality of robot assisted upper limb therapy and data from model could help the therapist to know about actual resistance force at each joint and quality of exercise trajectory achieved by each subject. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between leadership and business model innovation (BMI) in an entrepreneurial firm. From the literature, it was found that the role of a leader in BMI was unexplored. A research framework was created which was the replication of the model created showing the relationship between leadership and innovation. Design/methodology/approach: The qualitative single in-depth case study was used to understand the effects of leadership in BMI. The case of an entrepreneurial firm in the graphic and animation education sector from India was chosen to test the research framework. The leader of Xplora Design Skools was observed closely, and he was interviewed multiple times. Findings: From the analysis, it was clear that, in this organization, the leader was a trigger for BMI through creating and influencing creativity and innovation in the organization. This case also shows that he was making tangible contribution to the work being done and motivating his employees. These initiatives show his influence on the process or execution of BMI. The present work aims to examine the effect of collective-work approach on creativity for improving leadership qualities in an unstructured decision-making process especially in uncertainty of IT sections. Perusing related studies surrounding the current issue, it is realized managers can involve team setting policy in developing options stage of a non-programmed decision-making process since the secondary data indicate collective work can elevate creativity sources. Besides, creativity is considered as a moderator for reinforcing leadership attributes. While these qualities enhance leadership performance enabling managers to detect the optimum options when they encounter organizational chaos. Accordingly, a model of an unstructured decisionmaking process is hypothesized in which team-setting is considered as a predictor variable for increasing creativity sources which are recognized as moderators. Then, leadership qualities crenellated by creativity are recognized as a criterion variable for promoting leadership performance. So, the primary data are collected through 38-statements questionnaires involving collective work, creativity and leadership qualities from 86 IT managers in Pune-India being ready to approach collective work policy in their unstructured decision-making. Through correlation, regression analysis and Durbin-Watson test, it is found there is a positive relationship between the variables. The tests between-subjects effects and SEM show the predictor variables have significant interaction with the criterion variables. Besides, ANOVA illustrates there is a significant difference between the means of predictors of this study. Purpose - The main purposes of this paper are to perform a micro- and macro-dimensional analysis, and to apply the theory of eclectic firm to understand the investment dimension in the apparel retail environment in India. Eclectic firm theory was then applied to the analysis to understand the apparel retail environment in India. Women have traditionally been held back from performing to their full potential in creative project teams, where they typically constitute a minority. However, due to recent technological developments, the structure of teamwork is rapidly evolving. Specifically, teamwork is now often performed asynchronously: members of teams work at different times, by themselves, rather than simultaneously and together. How will this shift to asynchronous teamwork affect the performance of men and women on creative project teams? This article argues that women will perform better when teamwork is asynchronous rather than synchronous, because working alone will afford them greater freedom for creative expression. We argue that men will not experience the same boost in performance, and thus the spread of asynchronous teamwork has the potential to reduce gender disparities in performance. We explore this question in the context of folk-music ensembles in eastern India. After collecting ethnographic and interview data from folk musicians to develop our theory, we conducted a field experiment in which individual singers, men and women, recorded a song both synchronously and asynchronously with the same set of instrumentalists. Purpose: The study aims to investigate the association between Entrepreneurial Education (EE) and Entrepreneurial Intention (EI) and the multiple mediation model of Creativity and Entrepreneurial Motivation (EM). Design/methodology/approach: The study employed a sample of 300 students who have studied entrepreneurial development courses (short-term and vocational courses) from higher educational institutes located in four States of Northern India. The data were analyzed by employing the structural equation modeling (SEM) technique. Findings: The investigation revealed that EE has a significant association with EM and EI but not with creativity. It is also seen that EM facilitates the affiliation between EE and EI, but creativity does not. Practical implications: The investigation results help the Institution, Policymakers, Government, to include entrepreneurial activities in their programs. The article presents a study which examined the effectiveness of art therapy and artistic engagement in addressing the anxiety and stress of COVID-19 patients and their treatment teams in Kolkata, India. Among the various art and performance activities during the study are drawing, poetry, music, and theatre. Also mentioned are the factors leading to stress and anxiety like fear of death and isolation, and the effectiveness of art as a tool to improve relisience of patients and their carers.

Design thinking remains mired in controversy. Its proponents claim that it enhances not just confidence but also creativity, while the opponents question whether it does anything beyond building unfounded confidence. To bring rigorous evidence to this debate, we designed a randomised field experiment amongst school children served by a major non-governmental organisation in rural India. The findings reveal that the design thinking training did not just increase confidence: it also significantly increased ideational fluency and elaboration in a divergent thinking task, although the originality and flexibility of the generated ideas was on average lower in the treatment group than the control group. We also find that the increase in confidence occurred primarily among female students, whereas the increase in ideational fluency and elaboration occurred for both genders in our study. The purpose of the study is to examine the influence of onboarding on employee creativity and test if psychological empowerment moderates the relationship between onboarding and perceived employee creativity of knowledge workers. Data required for the survey was collected from 550 knowledge workers of three firms in service sector in India. The model was analysed using ANOVA, Chi-square test and regression analysis and was used to establish the conditional indirect effects of the moderator. Descriptive analysis was used to calculate mean, standard deviation and correlation coefficient. The results of the study supported the impact of onboarding levels on employee creativity. This study proved higher level of creativity for employees who experienced four levels of onboarding. The results indicated onboarding to strongly influence employee creativity. Onboarding also proved to moderate the effect of psychological empowerment on employee creativity. The crucial theoretical implication is to study the effect of onboarding on new employee perception, production and productivity. The study aims to provide insights to improve new employee creativity on successful onboarding and role of psychological empowerment on it. A test is made of the theory that children's creativity varies according to the degree to which the child's role in the family requires conformity to conventional norms. A test of this ‘conformity-inhibition’ theory is made possible by the known differences in degree to which Indian and American society expect normative conformity of children, and also because both societies expect greater conformity on the part of girls. Creativity was measured by the ability to generate ideas which might solve a puzzle in the form of a game presented for solution to husband-wife-child groups. Data for 128 family groups show that the Bombay children had lower scores than the Minneapolis sample. Girls' scores were lower than those of boys in both societies. Sex differences in creativity were greatest in Bombay. The lesser sex difference in the Minneapolis sample is interpreted as reflecting the greater freedom and individuality permitted girls in American society. The paper attempts to explain how green training, an important human resource function, influences green creativity in the handicraft organisations. The mediating role of green dynamic capabilities and the moderating role of resource commitment are also examined. A survey of 211 handicraft managers is conducted to test the proposed hypotheses, followed by a qualitative approach in which cases of two handicraft organisations are examined. The findings of the study indicate that green training influences the organisations green creativity both directly and indirectly and that green dynamic capabilities further influence the green creativity indirectly via the moderating role of resource commitment to producing superior creative outcomes. The study is the first to assess green creativity as an outcome of green training. Entrepreneurs have generated creative ideas for many centuries, and across a range of industries. Two books have recently appeared addressing the issue of entrepreneurial creativity from different perspectives. They are compared and contrasted in this article. Historical precedents for innovation are examined in one, while contemporary examples are the focus of Tsang’s volume. Strategies used to encourage innovation in medieval and early modern towns inform on contemporary debates on the role of traditional industries in India. Experiments in new forms of production were encouraged, rather than deterred, and investment in training helped traditional crafts to retain a reputation for quality and develop regional specialisms. In the backdrop of the UNESCO's endeavor to promote cultural industries in Asia-Pacific region, India's enthusiasm can be conspicuously seen in hosting the symposium which finalized the background document for a holistic development of the sector. The agenda set by this document is multipronged; however, 'income generation' and 'wealth creation' appear to be more significant. This document has identified different slots for different markers of culture amongst which 'crafts' are also marked as a separate slot. However UNESCO's proposal cannot ignore Frankfurt School critiques. Overall, there has been a critique of over-administered culture that promises an 'integral freedom' but gets fragmented into high art and products of culture industry that never sum up to what they promise (Adorno, 1991). Cultural sociologists have taken a neutral stand and analyze them just as other important institutions, engaged in creative processes of cultural production (Santoro, 2008). Nevertheless, the critiques of culture industries remain relevant. Culture industries define themselves on the criteria of 'creativity', 'cultural knowledge' and 'intellectual property'. They will have to be accommodated with each other on these issues and explore other kinds of relationships that pertain to art, communities and religion rather than only to the pecuniary ones. In crafts communities, art and religion are very significant, yet we have modern knowledge and technology which have been posing as challenges to be reconciled. The present study investigated the relationship between intelligence and creative thinking abilities, intelligence and academic achievement and also academic achievement and creative thinking abilities of 11 to 13 years old children with hearing impairment studying in Residential special schools in Mysore. For testing Intelligence, Standard Progressive Matrices by J. C. Raven and for testing creative thinking abilities, Non- Verbal test of Creative Thinking Abilities by Baqer Mehdi tools were used for the study. These tools were administered on 50 (24 boys and 26 girls) 11 to 13 years old children with hearing impairment. Participants were instructed and the data was scored as per the manual. For testing the Academic achievement both the present and past class exam marks were collected from school records. The results indicated that there exists no significant relationship between intelligence and creative thinking abilities, academic achievement and creative thinking abilities. But there exists significant relationship between intelligence and academic achievement. The study also revealed that children scoring Intelligence Grade V indicating "intellectually impaired" outperformed in creative thinking abilities compared to those children scoring Grade III indicating "intellectually average" and Grade IV indicating "below average in intellectual capacity". The results of the current study can be used to plan special programs based on the abilities and talents of children with hearing impairment rather than intelligence and school exam marks in order to foster their creative thinking abilities and thereby prepare them for appropriate and productive vocations. This article lays bare an unusual underlying relationship between modernity and art or literature in the West by elucidating the sequential relationship between the premodern and the modern in the West as scripted by Descartes. Modernity rejected the premodern and the rejected is recalled and preserved by art and literature. This formula, when it travelled to societies like India through colonialism, met with mixed results as there remained the large premodern social reality. In this sequential relationship the premodern at times interrogated the modern. Creativity in these societies is to be found not only in art and literature but also in politics. This is illustrated by analysing how Swami Vivekananda chose saffron dress and wandering; Sri Aurobindo departed from this and selected white and seclusion; subsequently, Mahatma Gandhi chose wandering from Vivekananda and white from Aurobindo. The article concludes by pointing out how Descartes simultaneously decided to leave the past and enter into modernity whereas Ambedkar tokk nearly three decades between the decision to leave Hinduism and convert to Buddhism. Ratings of the leaders' Initiation of Structure and Consideration were obtained from members of 36 intercultural discussion groups consisting of one American and one Indian graduate student plus an American leader. Ratings of Group Atmosphere, Esteem for Leader, and Effectiveness of Leader were also obtained after each group had completed an intercultural-negotiation task and also after completing a group-creativity task. Results showed that on both tasks the American and the Indian members' Esteem for Leader ratings and Group Atmosphere ratings were positively correlated with their leaders' considerate behaviors, but were not related to their leaders' structuring behaviors. The leaders' effectiveness, as rated by Americans, was positively correlated with both Consideration and Initiation of Structure scores. When rated by the Indian subjects, the leaders' effectiveness was correlated only with their Consideration scores. The leaders' self-ratings of Consideration and Initiation of Structure were positively correlated with their own ratings of the Group Atmosphere and with their ratings of their own Effectiveness. The group- performance scores were unrelated to Consideration ratings; however, group performance was positively related to the Initiation of Structure ratings (but this finding was specific to the culture and the task).
