The research aims to: (1) produce a computer program as a learning resource on gas law topics; (2) determine the appropriateness and quality of the computer program; and (3) describe the effectiveness of the computer program to help students in learning the concept of gas law. We employed 4D (define, design, develop, disseminate) models in this research. The computer program is validated by physics expert, learning media expert, and physics teachers. The appropriateness and quality of the computer program were analyzed descriptively. The field testing involved a small group consists of 4 students and a larger group consists of 61 students. The effectiveness of the computer program in improving students' learning achievement was investigated through one group pretest and posttest design. The results of this study showed that the computer program is feasible for high school physics learning. Based on the assessment by physics experts, learning media experts and high school physics teachers, the quality of computer program can be categorized as very good. Normalized gains from the conducted pretest and posttest to small and larger group are found as 0.68 and 0.55, respectively. It indicates that there is medium improvement of students' learning achievement after using the computer program as a learning resource.

Indonesia's vision of the Long-Term Development Plan (RJPJ) in 2005-2025, is to actualize an independent, advanced, just, and prosperous Indonesia. One of the missions conducted is to realize a beautiful and sustainable Indonesia. This vision has shown that the effort of economic development must pay attention to the balance of the use, sustainability, existence, as well as the use of natural resources and environment. In an industrial context, financial relations between the financial institution and financial product are in one hand. And the other hand is the optimization of natural resources. This context has termed as "sustainable finance". The implementation of the principle of finance sustainable is actualized through the green bond regulation which has been regulated in the Financial Services Authority Regulation No. 60/POJK.05/2017 on the Issuance and the Terms of Green Bond. This study aimed to explore the constitutional aspects of implementing the regulation of green bond in Indonesia. The method used is normative legal research with statute and conceptual approach. The study's result that green bond regulation related to human rights, particularly a right to obtain good environment as mandated in 28 H paragraph 1 and economic democracy as mandated in the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia's Article 33 paragraph 4. The increasing number of e-commerce in Indonesia makes competition among e-commerce increasingly tight. Shopee is an e-commerce in Indonesia which succeeded in occupying the first position as the e-commece platform of choice for the Indonesian people in 2022, besides that in the first quarter of 2022 Shopee also experienced an increase in opinion reaching 64.4 percent and shopee experienced an increase in gross transaction value of 38.7 percent. Purchasing decisions made in this E-commerce are an important factor in the achievement of the increase achieved by shopee e-commerce, of course before consumers make transactions consumers will consider aspects of brand ambassadors, sales promotion, and also brand awareness. This research is quantitative research. The data collection used in this study was through direct surveys to 150 research respondents using the Classical Assumption Test and Multiple Linear Regression Test with the help of the SPSS 24 data processing tool. The results showed that the variables of brand ambassador, sales promotion and brand awareness had a significant and significant effect on purchasing decisions in Shopee ecommerce. The results of the f test show the results that the brand ambassador, sales promotion, and brand awareness variables simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the purchasing decision variable in Shopee e-commerce. Purpose: This study investigated the factors associated with Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in selected areas in Indonesia. Methods: We used a cross-sectional approach with a correlational research design; a total of 2,730 samples were collected using accidental sampling. The instrument was an online questionnaire. The AEFI questionnaire was a modified version of the survey instrument of the Ministry of Health, Republic of Indonesia. χ² and Fisher's exact tests were used for statistical analysis. Results: The most common AEFI were pain at the injection site (81.2%), drowsiness (77.2%), hunger (77.0%), headache (70.3%), and weakness (58.4%). Bivariate testing revealed that gender, age, disease history, vaccine type, and anxiety had statistically significant relationships with the incidence of weakness, pain at the injection site, and headache (p<.050). Age and vaccine type were significantly related to the incidence of fever, swelling at the injection site, and hunger. Gender, vaccine type, and anxiety were found to have statistically significant relationships with the incidence of nausea. Vaccine type and anxiety were significantly related to vomiting. Conclusion: The study found that gender, age, history of disease, vaccine type, and level of anxiety were associated with several adverse events following COVID-19 immunization. These findings provide data to nurses and other health workers to help them offer additional interventions to prevent or reduce adverse events in at-risk groups following COVID-19 vaccination. Background: Small interfering RNA technology has been considered a prospective alternative antiviral treatment using gene silencing against influenza viruses with high mutations rates. On the other hand, there are no reports on its effectiveness against the highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 virus isolated from Indonesia. Objectives: The main objective of this study was to improve the siRNA design based on the nucleoprotein gene (siRNA-NP) for the Indonesian H5N1 virus. Methods: The effectiveness of these siRNA-NPs (NP672, NP1433, and NP1469) was analyzed in vitro in Marbin-Darby canine kidney cells. Results: The siRNA-NP672 caused the largest decrease in viral production and gene expression at 24, 48, and 72 h post-infection compared to the other siRNA-NPs. Moreover, three serial passages of the H5N1 virus in the presence of siRNA-NP672 did not induce any mutations within the nucleoprotein gene. Conclusions: These findings suggest that siRNA-NP672 can provide better protection against the Indonesian strain of the H5N1 virus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The purpose of this research is to utilize pumice waste as one of the constituent materials of lightweight concrete. Indonesia, as an archipelagic country, has produced coral pumice waste scattered throughout the country. It is expected that by utilizing pumice waste, lightweight and environmentally friendly concrete may be produced. The tests carried out consisted of three series to examine the effect on the composition of light aggregate (series 1), the effect of light aggregate size (series 2), and the effect of the water to binder ratio (series 3). The composition of light aggregate as a substitute for coarse aggregate by 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%, with a maximum aggregate size of 20 mm and water to binder ratio of 0.50. In the second series, the maximum size of lightweight aggregate is 9.5 mm, 16 mm, 20 mm, and 25 mm, using 100% lightweight aggregate with water to binder ratio of 0.50. In the third series, the water to binder ratio is varied 0.46, 0.48, and 0.50. A slump test was conducted to check the workability of fresh concrete, while the hardened properties test consisted of compressive strength and mass density. The results of the tests show that using a larger amount of lightweight aggregate reduces compressive strength. The variation of the maximum size of lightweight aggregate shows a pattern that the larger the aggregate size produces lower the compressive strength. Background: Patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) may face terminal illness situations, which may lead to death. In this case, the role of critical care nurses shifts from life-sustaining to end-of-life care (EOLC). Nurses' involvement in EOLC varies between countries, even in one country due to differences in religion, culture, organization, laws, cases and patient quality. In Indonesia, research on EOLC in ICU has not been carried out. Purpose: This study aimed to explore the experiences of critical care nurses in providing EOLC. Methods: A qualitative study with a phenomenological approach was conducted. Ten critical care nurses having the experiences of caring for dying patients were recruited through a purposive sampling technique for in-depth interviews. Manual content analysis was used to identify themes. Results: The results of the study found five themes, including the challenge of communication with the family, support for the family, support for the patient, discussion and decision making, and nurses' emotions. Conclusion: Most of EOLC provided by critical care nurses was focused on the family. They had some challenges in communication and decision making. Indonesia resides on most earthquake region with more than 100 active volcanoes, and high number of seismic activities per year. In order to reduce the casualty, some method to predict earthquake have been developed to estimate the seismic movement. However, most prediction use only short term of historical data to predict the incoming earthquake, which has limitation on model performance. This work uses medium to long term earthquake historical data that were collected from 2 local government bodies and 8 legitimate international sources. We make an estimation of a mediumto- long term prediction via machine learning algorithms, which are multinomial logistic regression, support vector machine and Na¨ıve Bayes, and compares their performance. This work shows that the support vector machine outperforms other method. We compare the root mean square error computation results that lead us into how concentrated data is around the line of best fit, where the multinomial logistic regression is 0.777, Na¨ıve Bayes is 0.922 and support vector machine is 0.751. In predicting future earthquake, support vector machine outperforms other two methods that produce significant distance and magnitude to current earthquake report. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is currently cultivated on 19 million ha, and palm oil represents more than one‐third of the global vegetable oil market. Addition of nitrogen (N) via legume cover crop and fertilizers is a common practice in industrial oil palm plantations, however, there is a tendency for N loss, thus contributing significantly to environmental effects. To improve the sustainability of palm oil production, it is crucial to determine which management practices minimize N losses. Continuous field measurements would be cost‐prohibiting as a monitoring tool, and in the case of oil palm, available models do not account for all the potential nitrogen inputs and losses or management practices. In this context, we developed IN‐Palm, a model to help managers and scientists estimate N losses to the environment and identify best management practices. The main challenge was to build the model in a context of knowledge scarcity. Given these objectives and constraints, we developed an agri‐environmental indicator, using the INDIGO method and fuzzy decision trees. We validated the N leaching module of IN‐Palm against field data from Sumatra, Indonesia. IN‐Palm is implemented in an Excel file and uses 21 readily available input variables to compute 17 modules. It estimates annual emissions and scores for each N‐loss pathway and provides recommendations to reduce N losses. IN‐Palm predictions of N leaching were acceptable according to several statistics, with a tendency to underestimate nitrogen leaching. Background: The etiology of unexplained infertility has not been fully understood. This study aimed to determine the effect of antisperm antibody (ASA) from infertile women on viability, motility, plasma membrane integrity, and status of tyrosine phosphorylation in the human spermatozoa. Methods: An experimental in vitro study was conducted at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia from February to November 2014. Spermatozoa from normal fertile donors was incubated with serum containing ASA from infertile women at several dilutions (1/1000, 1/100, 1/10, and without dilution) for 1 and 2 hours. The plasma membrane integrity was assessed with hypoosmotic swelling (HOS) test, whereas the status of tyrosine phosphorylation was analyzed using Western immunoblotting and immunocytochemistry. Results: After 1 hour incubation time, ASA caused a decrease in sperm viability, motility, plasma membrane integrity, and inhibit sperm tyrosine phosphorylation. ASA caused a decrease in viability, motility, sperm plasma membrane integrity, and tyrosine phosphorylation of sperm after 1 hour incubation time. Conclusion: ASA from infertile women reduced the sperm viability, motility, plasma membrane integrity, and capacitation in dose and time dependent manner. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background and Objectives: Data suggest that genetic factors are associated with BMI. The fat mass and obesity- associated (FTO) gene modulates adipogenesis through alternative splicing and m6A demethylation. Individuals with FTO rs9939609 gene polymorphism have a preference for energy-dense foods. This study investigates the relationship between FTO rs9939609 and obesity and preference for dietary fat intake among selected Indonesian adults., Methods and Study Design: A total of 40 non-obese and 40 obese participants aged 19-59 living in Jakarta were recruited. Body composition measurements included body weight, height, BMI, waist circumference, and body fat mass. Dietary intake was assessed using a semiquantitative food frequency questionnaire and food recall over 2 × 24-h periods. Genetic variation was determined using amplification-refractory mutation system polymerase chain reaction., Results: The genotype distribution of the FTO gene (rs9939609) was at Hardy- Weinberg equilibrium (p=1) with minor allele frequency=0.19. Individuals with AT/AA genotypes had 3.72 times higher risk of obesity (p=0.009) and 5.98 times higher dietary fat intake (p=0.02) than those with TT genotype. Obese participants with the AT/AA genotypes had 1.40 times higher dietary fat intake than those with the TT genotype (p=0.016)., Conclusions: These findings suggest that Indonesian adults with AT/AA genotypes of the FTO rs9939609 have higher obesity risks and preferences for high dietary fat intake than those with TT genotype.
