Studies the tectonic evolution of the western United States Cordillera during the Early Jurassic period. Presents mapping, structural and geochronologic data from Jackson Mountains of northwestern Nevada which led to a substantially different view of Mesozoic magmatic and structural evolution of the area. Occurrence of voluminous magmatism in the Early Jurassic; Other conclusions with implications for Mesozoic paleogeographic and tectonic reconstructions.
