The purpose of my bachelor thesis is to prove, that supply-side theory and policy conducted by Ronald Reagan during 1980´s provided good economic results, while creating conditions for healthy economic growth and helped to secure the positon of the United State of America on international political area. In the theoretical section I deal with putting the situation of United State of America in to the post-war context, which is essential for understanding the economic and political situation. Further I present the theoretical basis, which created foundation of Ronald Reagan policy. In the practical section I utilize the induction and deduction methods for analyzing empirical data, further I utilize contextual analysis in order to interpret policies conducted by Ronald Reagan.

Population ageing is one of the most important current problems in developed countries. The goal of my work is the analysis of economic and social problems occasioned by population ageing, population prognosis and the possibility of compensation a population loss and changes in age structure through replacement migration. This is all in the Czech Republic. For my work I will use readily available information databases, mainly the database provided by Czech Statistical Office and the databases of relevant ministries in the Czech Republic. At first I will make demographic predictions using a component method without migration and then I will use replacement migration to compensate a population loss and changes in selected demoeconomic characteristics. The contribution of my work is in the concretization of methodology for calculating the replacement migration and in the results obtained from this study, which will show feasibility of this concept in practice. Last but not least I will look for solutions to the adverse economic impact of population ageing. In my study at first I will explain the concept of an ageing population and analyze past demographic trends in the Czech Republic. The entire chapter I will attend to migration and migration policy. Then I will focus on demographic forecast and especially replacement migration. At the end of my work I will analyze the economic impacts of an ageing population and the possibilities for their solution.

Diploma thesis focuses on the idea of self-directed learning from the perspective of andragogy. The main goal of this work is to characterize and describe self-directed learning among students at a selected pedagogical fakulty. The sececondary goal is to compare the process of self-directed learning from the perspective of students in the full-time and combined forms of study at the selected pedagogical fakulty. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theorical part initially deals with the importance of lifelong learning and education, followed by an andragogical backgroud, whitch summarizes the basic andragogical concepts, the historical aspect of andragogy and didactics of adult education. An important subchapter of the teoretical part is Knowles' theory of adult education. The last and key chapter of the theoretical part deals with the historical and philosophical aspect of self- directed learning, defines the concept of self-directed learning, and outlines its challenges. The diploma thesis deals with the issue of employee education in one primary and nursery school in the Czech Republic. This is a one-case study, which, using qualitative-quantitative research, aims to analyze the current concept of employee education of the given organization and also proposes changes to the existing concept so that it is in line with the requirements for the strategic concept of employee education. The diploma thesis includes a theoretical part with an explanation of relevant concepts from the field of andragogy and management, as well as a practical part, where the internal documents of the school are analyzed and the characteristics of the current concept of employee education are described. Furthermore, a questionnaire survey was also carried out using 3 questionnaires, the respondents were school employees and the school director. The work focuses on the issue of vocational education in the field of nutrition and nutritional needs of kindergarten children and aims to identify the educational needs of kindergarten employees in this area. Then the work compares the educational needs of teachers and school canteen staff. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and analytical. The theoretical one deals with the definition in terms of placing the issue in the context of lifelong learning, the specifics of adult education, competencies, vocational education and the introduction of the topic of education in kindergartens. At the same time, educational needs are defined and the related definition of the analysis of educational needs, theoretical approaches to the issue and the cycle of systematic education. 1 ABSTRACT The work deals in general with the acquisition and keeping of the necessary knowledge and skills needed for work in an industrial company with a high degree of automation of production operations. Attention is focused mainly on the issue of the entry level acquired at school and subsequently personnel development in lifelong learning. At the same time, the issue of determining career paths and competence matrices, on which the need for educational measures is based, is also taken into account. 1 ABSTRACT Participation on occupational health and safety training is one of the basic duties in the field of professional education of employees. With respect to the fact that the law imposes an obligation on employers to provide this training but does not specify its form any further, e-learning is becoming an indivisible part of completing the requirements in this field. This thesis will execute a thorough theoretical look into three major parts which are professional education, e-learning and occupational health and safety training, which are linked together throughout the selected chapters. The empirical part depicts a data analysis and results of a research investigation that was executed through a standardized questionnaire in collaboration with respondents who acquired direct experience with a training in the field of occupational health and safety in e-learning form. The diploma thesis follows up on the author's bachelor's thesis, in which was proposed the sixth educational area for the Framework Educational Program for Preschool Education entitled The Child and His Spirituality. At present, the concept of children's spirituality is unaccepted and therefore neglected in academic areas in preschool education. However, for several decades, many authors have spoken of children's spirituality as a scientifically substantiated thesis. Therefore, the work deals with concepts of how to grasp children's spiritual education and how it could be practiced in the Czech secular kindergarten. It is shown that the Czech legislation represented by the Education Act is on the side of this education and does not go against it. The essence of spiritual children's capacity and how spirituality is realized and perceived in human life are discussed. One of the essential points of the work also lies in explaining that it is necessary to distinguish religion from spirituality. This diploma thesis is concerned with the barriers to education for the elderly . In the theoretical part there is introduced the theoretical framework of gerontology as well as other related issues i.e. the ageing, old age, quality of life and different forms of education for older adults. The practical segment of the thesis deals with the actual research and summary of the data obtained by the survey. The survey encompasses multiple aspects such as gender, age or in particular the age distribution within the group of elderly learners, or their highest level of educational attainment. The research aims at discovering whether the level of education acquired by seniors previously in life could somehow influence their desire to learn more in old age. Therefore , if there exists a stronger tendency to engage in further education among the vocational, highschool or university graduates. The bachelor thesis deals with the competences of the nursery school director. The aim of this work is to create a proposal of a competency model of the nursery school director. In the theoretical part it defines the concept of competence by means of specialized literature and denotes the competences needed for leading employees. The third chapter describes the types of competencies and the origin, types and use of competency models. The competencies that are further elaborated in the theoretical part on the basis of the selected model are leadership, managerial, professional, personal, social competences and management and evaluation of the educational process. All competencies are observable in human behavior. At the end of the third chapter, the historical context and the specific environment are presented in the nursery school. In the empirical part, based on the analysis of four interviews and two mind maps of the interviewed directors of nursery school, a proposal of a competency model for the kindergarten principal is created. The thesis is focused on the professional education of criminalistic technicians of the Military Police. In the first, theoretical part of the thesis, the author deals with education and training of criminalistic technicians of the Military Police in the context demarcating basic theoretical concepts from the area of further professional education, brief introduction to the structure of the Military Police and clarification of basic concepts from the area of criminalistic and technical activities of the Military Police. The aim of the second, practical part of the thesis, is to analyze the current professional education of criminalistic technicians of the Military Police with a focus on their needs.

The aim of this thesis is to identify and characterize the specifics of lecturing work with a focus on the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic. The structure of the thesis is divided into two main parts, namely the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part emphasizes the importance of further professional education. Attention is paid to the characteristics and description of general concepts of business education. The profession of the lecturer is characterized in the andragogic context with the definition of his/her basic competencies and activities in the individual phases of the educational event implementation. Lecturer's work in the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic is also characterized and its specifics are identified. In the practical part of the thesis, the case study is realized in the form of questionnaire. The aim of the case study is to analyse the effective use of the teaching methods, teaching aids and the feedback methods. The target group are lecturers of the Czech Customs Administration. An anonymous questionnaire was chosen as the key tool of the case study. The findings are presented in graphs and tables including accompanying comments. The conclusion summarizes the results of the investigation and a final evaluation.

The aim of the thesis is to find out, what was the initial motive for the study of the doctoral program and what are the types of motivations and barriers in further education of adults in doctoral studies. The theoretical part is based on the concept of lifelong learning and lifelong learning. The diploma thesis comprehensively introduces the issue of in-service training of pedagogical staff with a focus on secondary school teachers as one of the areas of school self-evaluation. In-service teacher training comes to the fore as it goes hand in hand with the quality of training. In its first part, it identifies the basic definitions needed to understand the topic of school self- evaliation and in-service teacher training, then it defines the legislative framework ensuring in- service teacher training, strategic documents and other plans. Last but not least, it defines the objectives and forms of in-service teacher training and briefly outlines the situation in Europe with a focus on international surveys. Using content analysis, the thesis evaluates three annual reports of the selected secondary school. The present time brings new jobs, new job roles, different job expectations, different perspectives on traditional and current career concepts, the importance of motivation in an individual's career, and the importance of job quality. In the environment of educational organizations, the quality of work of teaching staff is considered to be one the most important aspects affecting pupil performance. The current problems faced by regional education in the international context include the low attractiveness of the teaching profession, mainly due to lower average salaries. The situation is not supported either by limited career opportunities and by the widespread belief that the profession does not offer sufficient opportunities for self-realization and adequate social recognition. Electroencephalography is a sensitive method that is able to register neurophysiological changes (operations) in the cerebral cortex, which can be interpreted on the basis of the outputs of various complex computational transformations and in accordance with current neuroscience knowledge. The dynamic course of electrocortical activity is conditioned by functional and structural processes, which can have their origin both in the cortex itself and in various subcortical areas that are associated with it. The development of mathematical methods for the analysis of biological signals (respectively the development of the theory and practice of signal processing in general) has enabled a significant increase in EEG information yield, which is now far from limited to visual inspection of EEG recordings (although it still remains very important for the clinic). Frequent comorbidity of mental disorders together with the latest findings in neurobiology have been drawing attention of health professionals over the past years to so- called transdiagnostic factors, including, but not limited to difficulties in emotion regulation and self-compassion. The thesis focuses on art education of adults, more specifically on art education of adults at basic art schools in Prague and Central Bohemia. The thesis discusses the low frequency of exploiting of this kind of education and its reasons and presents suggestions to broaden education of adults at basic art schools. Theoretical part of the thesis defines leisure education of adults at the beginning and continues with definition of cultural and aesthetic education of adults, while it focuses on art and music education. The final chapter of theoretical part describes basic art schools and their associations. Statistical and other data connected to edult education at basic art schools in Prague and Central Bohemia are analysed in analytical part of the thesis. The research is completed with a questionnaire inquiry and is followed by suggestions for more frequent exploiting of adult education at basic art schools. This bachelor thesis deals with a detailed examination of the evaluation and self-evaluation of pedagogical workers at the primary school level. The theoretical part describes the aims and importance of evaluation and self-evaluation of pedagogical staff, basic methods, forms and criteria of evaluation and self-evaluation at school. It refers to the classification of evaluation methods. It describes basic and accompanying methods, which include: motivation-evaluation interview, MBO method, 360ř feedback, rating scale, free description, checklist or observations. The empirical part describes the objectives of the research. It specifies research questions, methods of data acquisition and processing, etc. The empirical part is conceived as a case study whose aim is to describe the methods, forms and criteria of evaluation and self- evaluation of pedagogical workers at specific school in Liberec, the Czech Republic. The research is based on interviews with the headmaster of the school, questionnaires for all teachers and also interviews with selected teachers of the school.
