Objective: To study the Significance of interleukin-8 (IL-8), tumor necrosis factor-a (TNF-α) and insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) expression changed in peripheral in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)with acute exacerbation. Methods:100 cases acute exacerbation of COPD were selected from our hospital during the period from December 2013 to December 2014, as die observation group, and 100 cases healthy were also selected from the same period, as the control group, IL-8, TNF-α and IGF-I levels in peripheral of die study group before and after treatment stable and the control group were detected. Results: IL-S. TNF-α and IGF-I levels iii peripheral before treatment of the observation group were significantly higher than stable after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05): IL-8. TNF-α and IGF-I levels in peripheral stable after treatment of the observation group were significantly higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: IL-S. TNF-α and IGF-I levels in peripheral in acute exacerbation of COPD were significantly increased, stable after treatment the levels can significantly reduced. IL-S. TNF-α and IGF-I levels has important implications for the diagnosis and treatment of COPD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
