Peeled iron walnut kernels (Juglans sigillata Dode cv. ‘Qianhe 7’) were studied for the changes in the contents of total phenols, total flavonoids and monomeric phenols and the activities of key enzymes associated with phenolic metabolism during the development process and their relationship with antioxidant activity in vitro. The results showed that the contents of total phenols and total flavonoids and antioxidant activity in iron walnut kernels increased during the development process and reached the maximum level at maturation. The contents of total phenols and total flavonoids were 0.05 mg/g and 0.03 mg/g, respectively in the mature kernels, the ferric ion reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) was 0.019 mmol/g, and the free radical scavenging capacities against 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2’-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) cation radical were 43.57 and 16.86 mg/mL, respectively. Eight monomeric phenolics were identified in the kernels, and their contents varied greatly during the development process and decreased in general at the late stage of maturity; among these phenolics, the average content of syringic acid was the highest, followed by catechin, and the level of ferulic acid was the lowest. The contents of total phenols, gallic acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid and quercetin were positively correlated with the FRAP value, while the contents of catechin, eugenic acid and rutin were positively correlated with the DPPH radical and ABTS cation radical scavenging capacities. The metabolic enzyme activities including chorismate mutase (CM), chorismate synthase (CS) and phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL) reached the highest levels at the kernel filling stage, while cinnamate 4-hydroxylase (C4H) activity showed an N-shaped trend and reached the maximum value at the late stage of maturity. The activities of 4-coumarate coenzyme A ligase (4CL), chalcone synthase (CHS) and chalcone isomerase (CHI) decreased rapidly and then increased slightly at the maturity stage. Total phenol, gallic acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid and quercetin were positively correlated with CM, PAL and C4H, but negatively correlated with CS, 4CL, CHS and CHI. Syringic acid and rutin were positively correlated with CS. In conclusion, the polyphenols and antioxidant activity of peeled ‘Qianhe 7’ iron walnut kernels were higher during the ripening stage. This study provides a theoretical basis for the development of functional foods based on iron walnut kernels.

The metaverse has been discussed in fields such as medicine, manufacturing, finance, education, and public services, but the application scenarios based on virtual reality have not truly achieved the ＆quot;real-virtual-real＆quot; loop interaction method.Its interaction mode has also not truly given the digital world the same consciousness and perception as the physical world.Taking medicine as a case study, the prospective applications and challenges of generative artificial intelligence models in metaverse organisms were explored, including digitizing biological cells, and building connections between digitized cells and digital neurons, in order to promote metaverse life forms to have perception and biochemical reactions consistent with the physical world, thereby empowering the development of the medical field.In response to the current advantages and disadvantages of the metaverse and generative artificial intelligence models, the clever design of human-machine collaboration mechanisms was discussed to promote conscious interaction between humans and metaverse organisms in medicine.

BackgroundAs a common disease causing human health impairment and disability, deafness has a leading morbidity among all the disabling diseases. Many factors could lead to deafness, among which genetic factors account for about 60%. Gene screening and pedigree analysis can be used to determine whether one has hereditary deafness, so as to provide corresponding genetic counseling services for hereditary deafness patients to stop the transmission of deafness from one generation to the next.ObjectiveTo investigate the hearing loss status and prevalence of mutations in genes associated with deafness in deafness patients from Shandong, to identify pathogenic causes of hearing impairment.MethodsOur study included a total of 5 664 hearing-impaired patients with a hearing disability certificate or a diagnosis of hearing loss, who participated in the genetic testing program for hereditary hearing loss in Shandong Province from 2016 to 2020. Hearing loss was tested by pure-tone audiometry. Genetic testing was carried out with DNA microarray to detect mutations at 15 loci in four common hereditary deafness-related genes.ResultsAmong the 5 664 cases, 3 891 had grade 1 (mild) hearing disability, 1 463 had grade 2 (moderate) hearing disability, 188 had grade 3 (severe) hearing disability, 73 had grade 4 (profound) hearing disability, and the remaining 49 consisting of 38 cases of microtia and 11 cases of external auditory canal closure. In terms of deafness-related gene mutations, 2 503 cases were detected with mutations, 1 227 of them (21.66%) carrying GJB2 gene mutations, 975 (17.21%) carrying SLC26A4 gene mutations, 97 (1.71%) carrying mitochondrial 12S rRNA gene mutations, 158 (2.79%) carrying GJB3 gene mutations, and 46 (0.81%) carrying double heterozygous mutations. Both GJB2 and SLC26A4 gene mutations were hotspot mutations in patients with grades 1-4 hearing disability. With the explosive growth of data services,5G indoor coverage has become the top priority.Deploying 5G indoor subsystem is one of the important means to solve the problem of 5G indoor coverage.An upgrading scheme of 5G indoor subsystem based on multi-channel transceiver technology was introduced.This scheme can achieve double flow with single feeder and four flow with double feeder,and improve the performance of 5G with low cost.The main construction of the scheme includes:adding shaft cable,adding combiner,adding coupler,without changing the flat floor network structure.

As the synchronization of binary offset carrier (BOC) signals couldn’t be realized in high dynamic environment by traditional acquisition algorithms,an acquisition algorithm based on fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) and discrete polynomial-phase transform (DPT) was proposed.Firstly,the algorithm determined how to process the received signal according to the dynamic order obtained by the order operation.And then the acquisition was achieved by searching the spectral peak of the FRFT algorithm to obtain the estimation of dynamic parameters and code phase.Theoretical analysis and simulations show that the proposed algorithm eliminates the influence of second-order doppler shift rate based on original FRFT acquisition algorithm,which can successfully capture high dynamic BOC signals.The proposed algorithm further enhances the dynamic adaptability and anti-noise performance and has superior performance in detection probability and acquisition time in comparison with other algorithms.

The corrosion behaviour of Q235 steel in Qingdao and Wanning of China,the two kinds of polluted marine environment were simulated by cyclic immersion test, and the correlation of indoor cyclic immersion test and outdoor marine atmospheric corrosion test of Q235 steel were studied. The corrosion morphologies, corrosion products, corrosion kinetics of Q235 steel were investigated with methods of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and mass loss. The results reveal that the corrosion morphologies and compositions of corrosion products after cyclic immersion test agree with those after the real atmospheric test. Corrosion prediction model of Q235 steel in two kinds of marine atmospheric environment was built combined with Grey correlation method: T QD=137.002 t 1.093, T WN=102.398 t 0.952.

The corrosion behavior of hot air solder level printed circuit boards(PCB-HASL) and electroless nickel immersion gold printed circuit boards(PCB-ENIG) in salt spray test was studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The corrosion product morphology,composition and coating failure mechanism were observed by stereo microscopy,scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The results show that PCB-HASL and PCB-ENIG suffer severe corrosion in high salt spray environment. Localized corrosion occurs first in the Sn plating layer,and then almost entire surface corrosion occurs,similar to uniform corrosion. PCB-ENIG mainly generates microporous corrosion. In the PCB-HASL corrosion process,Cl- promotes the corrosion of the Sn layer,then a large amount of corrosion product gradually forms and covers the Sn surface,it makes the corrosion rate reduce.In the PCB-ENIG corrosion process,a thin liquid layer containing Cl- electrolyte forms in micropores,and galvanic coupling between gold and nickel constitutes,which accelerates Ni corrosion. The Cu base directly exposes in the adverse environment after Ni suffers serious corrosion,finally leading to electronic component failure.

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was used to study the corrosion behavior of electroless nickel immersion gold processing printed circuit boards (PCB-ENIG) in a simulated electrolyte solution (0.1 mol. L-1 NaHSO3), and the morphology, composition of corrosion products as well as the failure mechanism of the plating layer were analyzed with the aid of stereo microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) combined with energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS). It is found that the corrosion resistance of PCB-ENIG in NaHSO3 solution is relative poor. Partial discolor appears in PCB-ENIG just immersing for 12 h, along with micro-crack generation. The electrolyte can directly erode the Cu substrate through micro-cracks, forming dendritic crystalline products around these micro-cracks, whose main composition should be Cu2S. Continuous generation of these corrosion products results in large transverse shear stress between the Ni intermediate layer and Cu substrate, and eventually bubbling and shedding of the Ni plating layer occur.

Objective To analyze the risk factors of traumatic subdural effusion (TSE) transforming into chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH). Methods A total of 75 patients with TSE after traumatic brain injury (TBI) were included from December 2017 to July 2019. CT or MRI reexamination during treatment and follow-up were performed to observe whether CSDH was transformed and relevant influencing factors were analyzed. Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analyses were performed to screen the risk factors for the transformation of TSE into CSDH. Results Logistic regression analysis showed that the higher effusion density (OR = 6.021, 95% CI: 1.047-34.631; P = 0.044), subdural effusion increases for a long time (OR = 1.253, 95% CI: 1.002-1.568; P = 0.048), the thicker effusion (OR = 2.080, 95% CI: 1.267-3.414; P = 0.004) and brain atrophy (OR = 35.392, 95% CI: 1.397-896.474; P = 0.031) were risk factors for the transformation of TSE into CSDH. Conclusions The subdural effusion increases for a long time, higher effusion density, thicker effusion and brain atrophy are the risk factors associated with the transformation of TSE into CSDH. This article reveals the nursing experience of an adolescent girl with ovarian teratoma undergoing oophorectomy surgery. During the nursing period from November 27th to December 4th, 2017, the author collected information through observation, conversations, direct care, physical assessment, visits, and telephone contact. On the basis of Gordon's eleven functional health assessments, the patient exhibited acute pain and anxiety, and caregiver role strain was also identified. In response to the specific needs of adolescent patients, our individualized care measures included the following: building mutual trust by listening to the patient's needs and encouraging the patient and her mother to express their inner feelings, teaching the patient to divert her attention to obtain pain relief, using communication software to connect with peers to reduce separation anxiety, and using information software QR code scanning to provide postoperative wound care skill videos and health education leaflet. These interventions alleviated the concerns of the patient's mother. We hope this nursing experience serves a reference to improve nursing care. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: To explore whether lipoxin A(4) (LXA(4))could prevent lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) monolayer hyperpermeability and its possible mechanism., Methods: Human umbilical cords were obtained from women with normal pregnancy immediately after delivery from Tongji Hospital Affiliated of Tongji Medical College. Primary HUVEC were isolated from umbilical veins and subcultured, then, HUVEC were divided into four groups:control group; LPS group (10 mg/L of LPS); LPS + LXA(4) group(10 mg/L of LPS and 100 nmol/L of LXA(4)); LPS + LXA(4) + BOC-2 group [10 µmol/L of BOC-2, an effective antagonist of formyl peptide receptor like 1 (FPRL-1)]. All expriments were performed after cells were treated for 24 hours. Endothelial permeability was measured by fluorescein isothiocyan-ate labelled bovine serum albumin (FITC-BSA) clearance across the monolayer; tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) mRNA and secretion were detected by reverse transcriplase (RT)-PCR and ELISA assay respectively, and nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) protein change was determined by western blot., Results: (1) LPS induced a significant increase in the permeability [Pa value of LPS group was (183.1 ± 1.7)%], while co-administrating with LXA(4) obviously attenuated this LPS-induced hyperpermeability, Pa value of LPS + LXA(4) group was (103.1 ± 2.2)%, LPS + LXA(4) + BOC-2 group was (162.2 ± 2.8)%, control group was 100%, the permeability of HUVEC monolayer was significantly increased by LPS which was (83.1 ± 1.7)% of control (P < 0.01), however, it was notably inhibited by LXA(4) (P < 0.05); the blockade of FPRL-1 could attenuate the effect of LXA(4), that is, there was no difference between the LPS + LXA(4) + BOC-2 group and the LPS group. (2) After treatment with different concentration of LPS(0, 0.1, 1, 10 mg/L), the mRNA expressions of TNF-α were increased (1.11 ± 0.11, 1.27 ± 0.03, 1.60 ± 0.06, 1.82 ± 0.04, respectively), compared with the control group, at the concentration of 1, 10 mg/L LPS, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). (3) The increased levels of NF-κB and inflammatory mediator TNF-α in the LPS group were both inhibited by LXA(4). Levels of NF-κB protein and TNF-α mRNA secretion in LPS treated group (0.53 ± 0.06 and 0.81 ± 0.09, respectively) were both inhibited by LXA(4)(0.19 ± 0.05 and 0.41 ± 0.07, respectively, and both had significant difference, P < 0.05). (4) Levels of TNF-α in HUVEC culture medium of LPS group [(31.94 ± 0.01) ng/L] was significantly higher than the control group [(18.17 ± 0.03) ng/L, P < 0.05], LPS + LXA(4) group [(15.72 ± 0.07) ng/L] was significantly lower than the LPS group (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: Our findings demonstrated that LXA(4) could prevent the endothelial cell hyperpermeability induced by LPS in HUVEC under which the possible mechanism was through inhibiting the expression of NF-κB and its related cytokines through receptor-dependent.

Objective: To explore the effects of lipoxin A(4) (LXA(4)) on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced oxidative stress in human umbilical veins endothelial cells (HUVEC) and the possible mechanism., Methods: Neonatal umbilical cords were obtained from normal term pregnant women with cesarean section within 4 hours and then were used to isolate HUVEC for subculture. HUVEC were divided into four groups:control group; LPS group (10 µg/ml of LPS); LPS + LXA(4) group (10 µg/ml of LPS and 100 nmol/L of LXA(4)); LXA(4) group (100 nmol/L of LXA(4)). All expriments were performed after cells treated for 12 and 24 hours respectively. Immunofluorescence was used to detect the expression of VIII foctor and nuclear translocation of nuclear factor-erythroid-2-related factor 2 (Nrf2); the mRNA expression of Nrf2, heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1) and reduced form of nicotinamide-adenine dinucleotide quinone oxidoreductase-1 (NQO1) were evaluated by reverse transcription-PCR., Results: (1) The flavovirens fluorescence was observed in the cytoplasm under fluorescence microscope, which confirmed the existence of VIII factor which specifically expressed in endothelial cells, especially in HUVEC. (2) Immunofluorescent results showed that in control group, Nrf2 protein expressed in the cytosol rather than in the nucleus. In LPS group, the expression of Nrf2 protein obviously increased in the nucleus while decreased in the cytosol after 12 hours. However, after LPS treatment for 24 hours, Nrf2 expression reduced in the cytosol and nucleus. In co-treatment with LPS and LXA(4) group, the expression of Nrf2 protein was much higher than that in LPS group after 12 hours or 24 hours. Furthermore, Nrf2 protein also mostly expressed in the cytosol in LXA(4) group. (3) After stimulation for 12 hours, compared with control group, the gene expression of Nrf2 and HO-1 were significantly enhanced in LPS group (0.581 ± 0.019 and 0.081 ± 0.009, P < 0.05) and in LPS + LXA(4) group (0.692 ± 0.048 and 0.136 ± 0.018, P < 0.05), the level of NQO1 mRNA in LPS group and LPS + LXA(4) group were 0.381 ± 0.009 (P > 0.05) and 0.574 ± 0.034 (P < 0.05). After treatment for 24 hours, compared with control goup, the gene expressions of Nrf2 and NQO1 were down-regulated in LPS group (0.180 ± 0.017 and 0.472 ± 0.064, P < 0.05). But in LPS + LXA(4) group the expression of Nrf2 and NQO1 were upregulated (0.532 ± 0.051 and 0.830 ± 0.068, P < 0.05, compared with treatment for LPS group). The mRNA expressions of Nrf2, HO-1 and NQO1 were increased in LPS + LXA(4) group compared with LPS group (P < 0.05). In addition, there was no markedly difference in the expressions of Nrf2, HO-1 and NQO1 between control and LXA(4) group after 12 hours and 24 hours (P > 0.05)., Conclusion: Through activating nuclear translocation of Nrf2 protein from cytoplasm, LXA(4) upregulates the Nrf2 downstream enzymes, such as NQO1 and HO-1 to protect HUVEC against the oxidative stress induced by LPS.
