In order to explore the effect of chitosan-tannic acid coating on the quality of Jiaohuaji chicken during storage, the microbial diversity of Jiaohuaji chicken with and without the coating treatment was evaluated. The changes in total bacterial count (TBC), pH, thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) and total volatile basic nitrogen (TVB-N) values during storage were analyzed as well. The results of high-throughput sequencing analysis showed that Bacillus, Streptophyta, and Prevotella were the dominant genera during the storage period of Jiaohuaji chicken. The abundance of Bacillus increased to 99.04% on the fifth day of storage (37 ℃), indicating it to be dominant. After the coating treatment, the abundance of Bacillus in Jiaohuaji chicken decreased by 13.53% whereas the abundance of Prevotella and other genera increased. In addition, the results of microbial and physicochemical analysis showed that the coating treatment kept the TBC below 5.0 (lg (CFU/g)) for 8 days (4 ℃), significantly reduced the pH, and decreased the TBARS and TVB-N values by 22.28% and 28.15%, respectively at the end of storage (4 ℃) compared with the blank control group. To sum up, the chitosan-tannic acid coating treatment changed the composition of the bacterial flora, inhibited the growth of spoilage bacteria to some extent, delayed lipid and protein oxidation, and prolonged the shelf life of Jiaohuaji chicken.

Methods A non-randomized controlled trail was conducted, and 125 nursing undergraduates of grade 2017 were divided into observation group(n=62) and control group(n=63). Objective To examine the regulation of malignant progression of colorectal cancer by LINC00626 via the JAK1/STAT3/KHSRP signaling axis and its molecular mechanism. Methods 96 individuals diagnosed with colorectal cancer at our hospital during June 11, 2021 and June 11, 2023 were chosen as research subjects, and their cancerous tissue and nearby normal tissue were collected. Cultivate colorectal cancer cell lines (SW620, HCT116, HT29, DLD-1, LOVO, Caco-2) and normal colorectal cells (NCM460) in vitro, and detect the expression of LINC00626 and KHSRP in colorectal cancer tissue and cell lines using qRT-PCR. Screening out cell lines infected with lentivirus, SW620 and HCT116 cell lines were transfected with knockdown lentivirus and its control, while HT29 and DLD-1 cell lines were transfected with overexpressing lentivirus and its control, respectively. The signal pathway experiment revealed that relative to the sh-NC group, the expression levels of JAK1 and STAT3 mRNA in the sh-LINC00626 group were significantly increased, whereas the results in the overexpression group were the opposite. objective: This study aimed to develop a chitosan/zein-anthocyanin nanoparticle composite film loaded with zein-anthocyanin nanoparticles (volume fraction 5% and 10%) as enhancers and functional agents. The effects of zein-anthocyanin nanoparticles on the physicochemical and structural properties of films were investigated. Results: Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed that the nanoparticles, which were spherical in shape and had a particle size of about 193 -487 nm, had good compatibility with the film matrix and filled the void spaces in the film matrix, significantly improving the mechanical properties, making the elongation at break from 14.55% to 42.86%, tensile strength increased from 13.26 MPa to 36.86 MPa. In addition, the antioxidant properties of the films were also significantly improved, with the radical scavenging activities of DPPH and ABTS increased from 31.82% and 31.07% to 84.05% and 79.17%, respectively. Conclusion: Zein-anthocyanin nanoparticles can not only improve the mechanical properties of chitosan films, but also improve the antioxidant properties of the films by loading zein-anthocyanins nanoparticles. Objective: To investigate the effect of empathy on depressive symptoms in adolescents and to explore the potential mediating role of family functioning in the effect of empathy on depressive symptoms., Methods: The 2022 cross-sectional data from the Chengdu Positive Child Development (CPCD) cohort were analyzed in the study. A survey was conducted in Chengdu in June 2022, involving 3020 students in grades 5-8 from three randomly selected stratified schools. The Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI-C), the Chinese Family Assessment Instrument (C-FAI), and the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale for Children (CES-DC) were used in the survey. Chi-square test or one-way analysis of variance was performed to examine the differences in various demographic characteristics (sex, grade, region, and total monthly household income) between groups of respondents, as well as the differences in family functioning, empathy, and depression. Pearson correlation coefficient was used to examine the correlation between family functioning, empathy, and depressive symptoms. Structural equation modeling and SPSS PROCESS component Model 4 were used to analyze whether family functioning played a mediating role in the effect of empathy on depressive symptoms in adolescents., Results: The detection rate of depressive symptoms among survey respondents was 25.40%. The results of the difference analysis revealed significant differences in the detection rates of depressive symptoms among respondents of different grades, regions, and monthly household incomes ( P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the detection rates of depressive symptoms between male and female students. There was a significant difference in the detection rate of depressive symptoms between respondents with different scores for family dysfunction and empathy ability ( P <0.001). Correlation analysis results showed that empathy scores were negatively correlated with depression ( r =-0.11, P <0.001), that family dysfunction was positively correlated with depression ( r =0.29, P <0.001), and that empathy scores were negatively correlated with family functioning ( r =-0.37, P <0.001). The mediating role of family dysfunction in the relationship between empathy and depressive symptoms was established, with the direct effect being 0.039 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.010-0.069, P <0.001) and the indirect effect value being -0.096 (95% CI: -0.115--0.079, P <0.001). The direct effect value accounted for 28.89% of the total effect value, while the mediation effect value accounted for 71.11% of the total effect value., Conclusion: The empathy ability of adolescents is correlated to depressive symptoms, and family functioning plays a mediating role between empathy and depressive symptoms in adolescents. Objective: To assess the effect of premolar extractions on third molar angulation changes in orthodontic patients., Methods: The Cochrane library, PubMed, Embase, China Science and Technology Periodical Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM) and Wanfang database were searched from January 1, 1990 to May 20, 2014 to identify all the studies about third molar angulation changes in orthodontic patients with or without premolars extraction, which was assigned as a extraction group and a control group. Th e extraction group was further divided into a fi rst premolar extraction subgroup and a second premolar extraction subgroup. Literature filtering, data extraction and methodological quality evaluation were finished independently by two researchers. After cross checking, the disagreements were solved by discussion. Meta-analysis was carried out by RevMan 5.3.3 software., Results: Ten studies involving 712 patients were included. Meta-analysis revealed that: compared with the control group, the changes of third molar angulation in maxillary and mandible in the extraction group were statistically significantly different (all P<0.05); the difference in angulation between the two groups was about 5.19° in maxillary and 3.55° in mandibul. As for the premolar extraction subgroups, there was no significant difference in mandibular third molar angulation between them (P>0.05)., Conclusion: The orthodontic treatment involving first or second premolar extractions can improve the maxillary third molar angulation, and the second premolar extraction is the best option.

Mannosylerythritol lipids (MELs), mainly produced by Ustilago and Pseudozyma, are surface active compounds that belong to the glycolipid class of biosurfactants. MELs have potential application in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries due to their excellent surface activities and other peculiar bioactivities. In recent years, the research field of MELs has regained much attention abroad. However, MELs are rarely studied in China. In this review, the producing microorganisms and production conditions, diverse structures, biochemical properties, structure-function relationship and biosynthetic pathways of MELs are described. Some research problems and prospects are summarized and discussed as well.
