The effects of alkyl glycoside and alcohol ether glycoside alone on the interfacial tension between n-alkanes and Liaohe crude oil and on the interfacial tension in a composite system were studied by using a rotary drop interfacial tensimeter with the addition of ethylene oxide group (EO). The effects of mass fraction of surfactant, concentration of univalent and bivalent ions and EO group on dynamic interfacial tension of the system were investigated. The results show that the two glycoside surfactants can produce strong synergistic effect with sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate, and the EO chain can adjust the hydrophilic and oleophilic balance of the surfactants, so that the surfactants are more closely arranged at the interface. The increase of salinity can compress the double electron layer, make the interfacial molecules closely arranged, and reduce the interfacial tension. Under proper salinity conditions, the mixed surfactant system can produce ultra-low interfacial tension with Liaohe viscous oil. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to discover compounds with higher antifungal activity and elucidate structureactivity relationship of this class of compounds, a series of butenolide oxime ether derivatives containing 5,5-gem dimethyl moiety were designed and synthesized using 5,5-dimethyl butenolide as the lead structure. Their structures were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and HRMS. The in vitro antifungal activity evaluation revealed that the inhibition rates of compound D13 against Rhizoctonia solani, D8 against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, D11 and D24 against Botrytis cinerea were 71.2%, 69.0%, 71.7% and 72.3% at the concentration of 50 mg/L, respectively. As for B. cinerea, the inhibition rates of compounds D5-D30 with 4-pyridine moiety were much higher than those of compounds with substituted benzene at 4-position of butenolide, indicating the pyridine group can improve antifungal activities. Based on the structure of the plug-in molecule aryloxypyridine methanone, a novel series of aryloxypyridine methanone oxime ethers containing several active units (pyridine, thiazole, diaryl ether, and oxime ether) were synthesized and characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and HRMS. The insecticidal activities were also investigated. The target compounds had moderate to good activity against Aphis gossypii (Glover), while compounds 5a and 6i showed excellent insecticidal activities with the lethal rate of 76.8% and 70.1% at the concentration of 50 μg/mL, respectively. However, the lethal rate of the target compounds was lower than 30% at the concentration of 100 μg/mL, showing poor insecticidal activities against Plutella xylostella. The content of 1,4-dioxane in narrow-distribution sodium fatty alcohol ether sulfate (narrow- distribution AES) was studied by using n(SO3):n(narrow-distribution fatty alcohol ether), sulfation temperature, volume fraction of SO3, storage time and neutralization temperature as single-factor variables on a laboratory device of sulfur trioxide falling film sulfation. The results showed that, the content of 1,4-dioxane in narrow-distribution AES would increase with the increase of excess SO3, sulfation temperature, volume fraction of SO3, storage time of narrow-distribution fatty alcohol ether, and neutralization temperature. Thirteen compounds were isolated and identified from 70% ethanol extract of the roots of Gentiana macrophylla by multi-chromatographic methods, including microporous resin, silica gel, and C_(18) reversed-phase column chromatography, as well as HPLC as follows: macrophylloside G(1), macrophylloside D(2), 5-formyl-2,3-dihydroisocoumarin(3),(+)-medicarpin(4),(+)-syringaresinol(5), liquiritigenin(6),(3R)-sativanone(7),(3R)-3'-O-methylviolanone(8), 4,2',4'-trihydroxychalcone(9), latifolin(10), gentioxepine(11), 6α-hydroxycyclonerolidol(12), and ethyl linoleate(13). Compound 1 was a new benzopyran glycoside. Compounds 4, 6-10, 12, and 13 were isolated for the first time from Gentiana plants. Compounds 1 and 2 showed promising hepatoprotective activity against D-GalN-induced AML12 cell damage at the concentration of 10 μmol·L~(-1), and compound 2 exhibited more significant activity than silybin at the same concentration.

A near-infrared region（NIR） fluorescent probe 1 was constructed with hemicyanine attached to 7-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole（NBD） via ether bond and employed to detect the exogenous and endogenous H2S in live cells. Probe 1 is nonfluorescent due to the quenching effect of NBD. However, with the addition of H2S, the H2S-labile NBD ether bond is cleaved by thiolysis, and hemicyanine is released to lead to the enhancement of fluorescence intensity at 725 nm. In the presence of 10 equivalent of H2S, the 8.5-fold fluorescence intensity enhancement is occurred. Probe 1 shows good linearity with H2S concentration when it ranges from 0.1 μmol·L-1 to 100.0 μmol·L-1 with R2 of 0.995 2. The detection limit is 0.03 μmol·L-1. Probe 1 shows NIR excitation and emission with high sensitivity, fast response and high selectivity. To clarify the content characteristics of the main active components and mineral elements of Cynomorium songaricum under different habitat conditions, and further explore the relationship between the quality of C. songaricum and habitats, this study took C. songaricum from 25 different habitats in China as the research object, and measured the contents of 8 main active components and 12 mineral elements separately. Diversity analysis, correlation analysis, principal component analysis and cluster analysis were carried out. The results showed that the genetic diversity of total flavonoids, ursolic acid, ether extract, potassium(K), phosphorus(P) and zinc(Zn) in C. songaricum was high. The coefficient of variation of crude polysaccharide, ether extract, gallic acid, protocatechuic aldehyde, catechin, epicatechin, calcium(Ca), sodium(Na), magnesium(Mg), sulfur(S), iron(Fe), manganese(Mn), selenium(Se) and nickel(Ni) were all over 36%, indicating that the quality of C. songaricum was significantly affected by habitats. There were strong synergistic and weak antagonistic effects among the contents of the 8 active components, and complex antagonistic and synergistic effects among the contents of the 12 mineral elements. Principal component analysis revealed that crude polysaccharide, ursolic acid, catechin, epicatechin and total flavonoids could be used as the characteristic components to evaluate the quality of C. songaricum, and Na, copper(Cu), Mn and Ni were the characteristic elements to evaluate the quality of C. songaricum. In cluster ana-lysis, the second group with the main active components as cluster center had better quality in terms of the content of active substances, and the second group with the mineral elements as cluster center had higher utilization potential in the exploitation of mineral elements. This study could provide a basis for resource evaluation and breeding of excellent varieties of C. songaricum in different habitats, and provide a reference for cultivation and identification of C. songaricum.

Objective: A multicenter, randomized, single-blind, parallel-controlled noninferiority study was used to evaluate the short-term safety and effectiveness of domestic polyether-ether-ketone (PEEK) suture anchor for rotator cuff repair by comparing with the imported PEEK suture anchor commonly used in clinical practice., Methods: A total of 59 patients with rotator cuff tears who were admitted between May 2019 and October 2019 were selected as the research objects. Among them, 3 patients were excluded because they did not meet the selection criteria, and 1 patient withdrew from the study because of serious adverse events. A total of 55 patients were included in the study. They were randomly divided into trial group ( n =27) and control group ( n =28). The trial group used PEEK suture anchors produced from REJOIN Company, and the control group used PEEK suture anchors from American Arthrex Company. Two patients in control group were lost to follow-up. Twenty-seven patients in trial group and 26 patients in control group were included in the final quantitative analysis. There was no significant difference ( P >0.05) in gender, age, disease duration, side and sizes of rotator cuff tears, composition ratio of patients with type 2 diabetes, and preoperative American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) score, Constant-Murley score, University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) score, and visual analogue scale (VAS) score. The patients were followed up regularly after operation. The postoperative follow-up included safety evaluation (complications, anchor position, and anchor bone reaction) and effectiveness evaluation (shoulder joint function and pain scores, rotator cuff integrity based on Sugaya classification criteria)., Results: The operations in both groups were successfully completed, and there was no complication related to the operation and suture anchor. All incisions healed by first intention. There was no significant difference in follow-up time between trial group [(5.85±0.77) months] and control group [(5.96±0.72) months] ( t =0.535, P =0.595). MRI examination indicated that the repaired tendons were fixed and the anchors did not get loose or torn. At 1 day, 3 months, and 6 months after operation, there was no patient with grade 3-4 anchor bone reaction in the two groups, and there was no significant difference in the bone reaction grading between groups ( P >0.05). After operation, the VAS scores of the two groups gradually decreased, and the ASES scores, Constant-Murley scores, and UCLA scores gradually increased, and there were significant differences between groups at each time point ( P <0.05). There was no significant difference between groups at different time points ( P >0.05). There was no significant difference in Sugaya classification of rotator cuff integrity at 1 day, 3 months, and 6 months after operation between groups ( P >0.05)., Conclusion: The short-term safety and effectiveness of domestic PEEK suture anchors in rotator cuff tear repair are not significant different from those of imported PEEK suture anchors commonly used in clinical practice.

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a polymer material composed of aromatic rings connected by ether and ketone groups. It has advantages of excellent biocompatibility, stable chemical properties, and appropriate elasticity modulus. Since PEEK are increasingly used in dentistry in recent years, the properties, modification methods, and research advances of them in oral implantology were discussed in this review.

Objective: To compare the effectiveness between three-dimensional (3D) printed porous titanium alloy cage (3D Cage) and poly-ether-ether-ketone cage (PEEK Cage) in the posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF)., Methods: A total of 66 patients who were scheduled to undergo PLIF between January 2018 and June 2019 were selected as the research subjects, and were divided into the trial group (implantation of 3D Cage, n =33) and the control group (implantation of PEEK Cage, n =33) according to the random number table method. Among them, 1 case in the trial group did not complete the follow-up exclusion study, and finally 32 cases in the trial group and 33 cases in the control group were included in the statistical analysis. There was no significant difference in gender, age, etiology, disease duration, surgical segment, and preoperative Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) score between the two groups ( P >0.05). The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, complications, JOA score, intervertebral height loss, and interbody fusion were recorded and compared between the two groups., Results: The operations of two groups were completed successfully. There was 1 case of dural rupture complicated with cerebrospinal fluid leakage during operation in the trial group, and no complication occurred in the other patients of the two groups. All incisions healed by first intention. There was no significant difference in operation time and intraoperative blood loss between groups ( P >0.05). All patients were followed up 12-24 months (mean, 16.7 months). The JOA scores at 1 year after operation in both groups significantly improved when compared with those before operation ( P <0.05); there was no significant difference between groups ( P >0.05) in the difference between pre- and post-operation and the improvement rate of JOA score at 1 year after operation. X-ray film reexamination showed that there was no screw loosening, screw rod fracture, Cage collapse, or immune rejection in the two groups during follow-up. At 3 months and 1 year after operation, the rate of intervertebral height loss was significantly lower in the trial group than in the control group ( P <0.05). At 3 and 6 months after operation, the interbody fusion rating of trial group was significantly better in the trial group than in the control group ( P <0.05); and at 1 year after operation, there was no significant difference between groups ( P >0.05)., Conclusion: There is no significant difference between 3D Cage and PEEK Cage in PLIF, in terms of operation time, intraoperative blood loss, complications, postoperative neurological recovery, and final intervertebral fusion. But the former can effectively reduce vertebral body subsidence and accelerate intervertebral fusion.

Background and objective Icotinib hydrochloride is the third single target EGFR-TKI used in clinical treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Clinical research reports on its efficacy and survival in patients with Recurrent Advanced NSCLC are still little.The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and survival of Icotinib hydrochloride for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer who failed to previous chemotherapy and explore the association of clinical features with the efficacy and survival. Methods The clinical data of 60 NSCLC patients referred to the Beijing Chest Hospital, Capital Medical University from March 2009 to July 2012 were retrospectively analyzed. Results The overall response rate (ORR) was 45.0% and the disease control rate (DCR) was 80.0%. The median progression-free survival (PFS) time was 6.7 months. RR and PFS in female were superior to male (P=0.014, 0.013, respectively). RR, DCR in 2nd-line subgroup were superior to ≥3rd-line subgroup (P=0.020, 0.024, respectively). RR, DCR and PFS in EGFR mutation carriers were significantly superior to wild-type patients (P=0.006, <0.001, 0.002, respectively) . There was no statistical difference in RR and PFS between those age <65 and ≥65 or PS<2 and PS≥2. There was no statistical difference in RR and DCR between exon 19 deletion and exon 21 mutations, while the former had much longer PFS (P=0.020). EGFR mutation and exon 19 deletion are the independent prognostic factors to significantly improve the PFS (P=0.009, 0.012, respectively). The side effects were generally mild and consisted of rash and diarrhea. The purpose of this paper is to establish the HPLC fingerprint and content determination method for Crataegus pinnatifida seeds. The separation was developed on a Welch Ultimate XB C&#95;(18) column(4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 μm) by gradient elution with acetonitrile-water containing 0.1% formic acid as the mobile phase at the flow rate of 1 mL·min~(-1), the column temperature of 30 ℃, the injection volume of 10 μL, and the detection wavelength of 320 nm. Eighteen batches of samples were analyzed under the above chromatographic conditions to establish the fingerprint of C. pinnatifida seeds from different producing areas and a total of 24 common peaks were selected. The structures of three main chromatographic peaks were identified by comparison to reference substances, and the three compounds were simultaneously analyzed for content determination. They were identified as erythro-(7S,8R)-guaiacylglycerol-β-coniferyl aldehyde ether, threo-(7R,8R)-guaiacylglycerol-β-coniferyl aldehyde ether, and balanophonin, respectively. The relative similarity of fingerprints of 18 batches of samples and references ranged from 0.928 to 0.999, and the content of the three compounds was 0.055 1-0.182 7, 0.061 8-0.225 8, and 0.156 8-0.405 6 mg·g~(-1), respectively. SPSS 17.0 and SIMCA 14.1 were used for cluster analysis, principal component analysis(PCA), and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis(OPLS-DA) on the common peaks of the HPLC fingerprint of C. pinnatifida seeds. The results showed that there were significant differences between the two batches of samples from Liaoning province and the other samples, and the three compounds to be tested were the main components leading to the difference of C. pinnatifida seeds. The established method was simple and reliable and can be used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of C. pinnatifida seeds. The findings of this study are expected to provide a scientific basis for quality control of C. pinnatifida seeds.

Glycol ethers were synthesized via the reaction between ethanol and 1,2-epoxypropane using calcined Mg/Al layered double hydroxides (CLDH) as catalysts. The influence of pore structure and composition of CLDH on the catalytic activity and product distribution of glycol ethers is studied systematically. In addition, the catalytic activity of CLDH as a function of times of reuse is also investigated. The result showed that the catalytic activity increased with the increase in the basicity and specific surface area of CLDH. Living cationic polymerization of a vinyl ether with a bicycloalkane group (TMVE) was achieved using the Et1.5AlCl1.5-based initiating system in the presence of ethyl acetate at 30°C. The molecular weight distribution of the polymers was very narrow (Mw/Mn = 1.03 - 1.08) throughout the polymerization. Diblock copolymers of TMVE with a stimuli-responsive segment were also synthesized to prepare a new class of smart films. The resulting films showed reversible thermosensitive behavior. For example, a film was obtained from a diblock copolymer containing a thermosensitive segment that becomes insoluble in water above 20°C. This film exhibited high affinity to water at 0°C, whereas it repelled water at 30°C. The transition temperature can readily be altered by using a diblock copolymer having a thermosensitive segment that has a different critical temperature for LCST-type phase separation in water. Objective To observe the influence of sevoflurane and diprivan combined anesthesia on postoperative cogni-tive function and sober quality in elderly orthopedic patients. Methods 90 elderly patients undergoing orthopedic surgery under general anesthesia from January 2011 to January 2015 were selected and divided into the sevoflurane combined anesthesia group(group S) and the diprivan combined anesthesia group(group P)according to different anesthetic ways, 45 cases in each group.The general surgical conditions(operation time, anesthesia time, amount of bleeding, eye opening time, extubating time, etc.) were observed in the two groups. The patients′ cognitive function at 24, 48, 72 h after surgery were compared by using mini-mental state examination(MMSE). Results The operation time, anesthesia time, amount of bleeding, eye opening time and extubating time had no statistically significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05). The MMSE scores after operation in the two groups were dropped. The MMSE score at 48 h after surgery in the group S was(27.15±0.86) points, which was significantly higher than(26.55±0.87)points in the group P, the difference was statistical significance(t=3.29, P<0.05). Conclusion Sevoflurane and diprivan combined anesthesia can cause the declining of postoperative cognitive function in elderly orthopedic patients, but which can recover within 3 d. Sevoflurane combined anesthesia can early recover the patient′s cognitive function. Both anesthetic methods have no obvious influence on postoperative sober quality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: To investigate the content of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in fish from Dongting Lake. Methods: Ten sample collection points were set in lakeside city Yueyang and Yuanjiang. In July (wet season) and November (dry season) of 2012, 13 common fish species were captured by convenience sampling in Dongting Lake. Two to three fish with similar weight were selected in each season for the same species of fish. After sample preparation and pretreatment, the contents of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs), dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (dl-PCBs), indicator polychlorinated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyls ether (PBDEs) in the samples were determined by high resolution gas chromatographer-high resolution mass spectrometry. Toxicity Equivalents (TEQ) of PCDD/Fs and dl-PCBs were calculated according to the revised toxicity equivalent factor (TEF) of WHO in 2005. The contents of POPs were expressed by median and quavtile. The differences of POPs in fish in different periods were compared by Wilcoxon rank sum test. Results: The content of PCDD/Fs of fish in Dongting Lake in wet season was 12.397 (8.865, 24.964) pg/g, higher than that in the dry season 0.771 (0.490, 1.442) pg/g ( P< 0.001), and the toxicity equivalent quantity (TEQ) were 0.150 (0.066,0.528) and 0.143 (0.066, 0.235) pg-TEQ/g without statistically significant difference ( P> 0.05). For the fish in wet and dry season from Dongting Lake,Σdl-PCBs of fish were 66.475 (28.065, 77.794) and 24.205 (18.237, 90.777) pg/g, respectively, and the TEQ were 0.061 (0.046, 0.268) and 0.075 (0.054, 0.182) pg-TEQ/g; Σ indicative PCBs were 237.764 (153.896, 335.483) and 119.711 (52.171, 408.696) pg/g, respectively; Σ PBDEs were 106.513 (64.834, 164.860) and 86.837 (61.872, 177.108) pg/g, respectively. The highest content of PCDD/Fs was found in grass carp (198.360 pg/g) in wet season. The higher content of PCBs was found in long-necked fish (2 332.509 pg/g) and PBDEs was found in pelteobagrus fulvidraco (343.857 pg/g), respectively. Conclusion: A lower burden was found in fishes from Dongting Lake, and the content of POPs varied in different seasons and fishes.

To realize quantitative analysis without authentic standards by gas chromatography, a calculation method of effective carbon numbers (ECNs) was developed by determining the relative response factors of 66 alkanes, alcohols, ethers with GC-FID and studying the relation between ECNs and chemical structures. The correlation coefficient of 0.9998 ( N =66) was achieved between theoretical values and experimental values of ECNs. Fifty-seven percent of determined compounds had relative deviations within ±1% and all of them had relative deviations within ±3%. This method is as accurate as common internal-standard method while used in the determination of oxygenated chemicals in gasoline samples, but with far less time and economical cost. It could be used to solve the problem of lacking authentic standards or surrogates.

Objective: To study the chemical constituents from the petroleum ether fraction of Buxus microphylla., Methods: The petroleum ether fraction of Buxus microphylla was isolated and identified by silica gel column chromatography. And the anticancer activity of different chemical constituents was measured by MTT reduction test., Results: Eight compounds were isolated and identified as lupeol (1), butulin (3), beta-sitosterol (4), stigmasterol (5), dibutyl phthalate (6), 3beta, 30-dihydroxy-lup-20 (29) ene (7), daucosterol (8). Compound 7 inhibited KB cells' proliferation in a dose-dependent manner., Conclusion: Compounds 2 - 5, 7, 8 are isolated from this genus for the first time. Compound 7 has certainly anticancer effects.

Levels and distribution of polyborminated diphenyl ether (PBDE) congeners, including BDE28, 47, 66, 85, 99, 100, 138, 153, 154, 183,and 209 (sum of which except for BDE 209 is designated as sigma10 PBDEs), in Mandarin fish (Siniperca chuatsi) tissues were determined using the method of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry operating in the negative chemical ionization mode. The highest and lowest mean concentrations of sigma10 PBDEs were 5.71 ng x g(-1) and 0.95 ng x g(-1) (dry weight), found in kidney and muscle tissue, respectively. The concentration ranges of sigma10 PBDEs in kidney, swimming bladder, liver, gills, gonad, gastrointestinal tract, skin, and muscle were 3.04 -12.8, 0.81-6.90, 1.28-8.87, 0.09-6.36, 1.05-5.73, 0.022-5.06, 0.69-5.98, and 0.14-2.61 ng x g(-1) (dry weight), respectively. The tissue concentrations of sigma10 PBDEs followed the sequence of kidney, swimming bladder, liver > gills, gonad > stomach, skin, muscle. BDE47 was the predominant component among the low brominated PBDEs, accounting for 35.7% to 65.6% of sigma10 PBDEs. BDE209 was detected in 45.2% of the samples, and its levels were higher in kidney and gonad than in other organs. These results indicated that PDBEs were bioaccumulated in Mandarin fish from both feeding and gill inhalation, and they particularly preferred to concentrate in tissues with high lipid contents, such as liver, swimming bladder, and gills.

It has been well known that fluorinated polyurethanes exhibit unique low surface energy, biocompatibility, biostability and nonsticking behavior. Consequently, these polymers have attracted considerable interest. In this study, the effect of various concentrations of fluorinated polyurethanes in the polyurethanes on the surface structures of the blends and their hemocompatibility were investigated by XPS, AFM, contact angle and platelet adhesion. It was found that the high concentration fluorine on the outer surfaces of the blends obtained with the low concentration of fluorinated polyurethanes (F: 0.342 wt%) in the blends was the same as that of the fluorinated poly(ether urethane)s, and all of the blends and the fluorinated poly(ether urethane)s had good hemocompatibility, compared with poly(ether urethane)s. The polymer blends and fluorinated poly(ether urethane)s suppressed platelet adhesion due to their high hydrophobicity and low surface tension. The XPS, AMF and contact angle results indicated that the high hydrophobicity of outer surface of the polyurethane blends is independent of the fluorinated polyurethanes content in the polymer blends but related to the concentration of the CF3 groups because the lower critical surface tensions and higher contact angle of many fluorinated surfaces reflect the concentration of CF3 groups.
