[Objective) An intrinsic logic model of digital rural strategy popularization was constructed, to analyze the empirical evidence of Chinese county area, reveal the intrinsic logic of digital rural strategy popularization, promote the development of agricultural rural informationization in the new era, and provide policy enlightenment for the popularization of digital rural strategy. (Method) The data of 957 county sections in 2020 were used, and the influencing factors of digital rural strategy popularization were systematically analyzed using the baseline regression model. (Result) (i) The successful extension of the digital village strategy was the result of the collaboration of internal decision models, external decision models and official action models. (ii) The internal determinant model for the promotion of digital rural strategies included the number of gross regional product, the urbanization rate of the resident population, the income of farmers, and the number of students in middle and high schools. The external determinant model had significant influence on the average of the adjacent county digital country index, the advanced county learning opportunities and the official tenure and cultural degree in the official action model. (iii) Heterogeneity analysis found that there were significant regional differences in the promotion of the digital village strategy across Eastern, Central and Western regions. In the internal determinant model, rural income in the Eastern region, the number of middle and high school students in the Central and Western regions, and the GDP in the Western region had a significant impact on the depth of promotion of the digital village strategy. In the external determinant model, the average digital village index of neighboring counties in the Eastern, Central and Western regions, along with national advanced county learning opportunities, significantly influenced the promotion of the digital village strategy. In the official action model, the age and tenure of officials in the Eastern region, the source region of officials' previous work in the Central region, and the educational level of officials in the Western region significantly impacted the depth of promotion of the digital village strategy. [Conclusion】 We should invest in rural information resource infrastructure, strengthen cooperation and exchange between counties, optimize incentive mechanism for promotion and formulate regional differentiated digital rural promotion policies to promote the development of digital rural strategy.
