Introduction: Adipose tissue and adipose-related inflammatory cytokines are increased with aging, thereby increasing the risk of chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. The effects of resistance training on body fat and adipose-related inflammatory cytokines remain controversial, especially in older adults. The present study investigated the effects of 12 weeks of resistance training on body fat percentage and cytokines in healthy elderly adults. Methods: Nineteen healthy older adults (age: 67.9 ± 3.2 years) without previous experience in resistance training were recruited. The exercise group (EX) performed progressive resistance training (3 times/week), and the control group (CON) maintained their normal lifestyles. The body weight (BW), body mass index (BMI), body fat percentage (BFP), and levels of TNF-α, IL-6, and leptin for the two groups were analyzed by two-way ANOVA. Results: There were no differences in BW or BMI between the EX and CON groups. After resistance training, the BFP and skinfold thickness were significantly decreased in the EX group compared with their own pre-training levels and those of the CON group (p < .05). The serum level of TNF-α in the EX group was also significantly decreased compared with their pre-training level. There were no differences in the serum levels of IL-6 and leptin between the EX and CON groups. Conclusion: Resistance training lowered BFP without changing BW in the EX group, suggesting that age-related increases in BFP were attenuated by the resistance training. Furthermore, the levels of certain serum cytokines tend to decrease with resistance training. Therefore, resistance training could attenuate age-associated chronic inflammation in older adults. Nüshu … literally “women’s writing,” is a script developed and circulated exclusively among women in Jiangyong County of Hunan Province in south China. Referring to both the script and the literature written in it, nüshu is the only writing system known thus far that is female-specific, a script that men cannot read or understand. By using nüshu, Jiangyong women, mostly illiterate in standard Chinese hanzi … characters, construct sisterhood networks, write wedding missives, and compose narratives to reflect on their own situations, comment on certain incidents, or even solicit support from the divine realm. Although possessing different writing foci, all the nüshu carry a biographical tinge of “lamenting one’s misery,” su kelian … . The generic sentiment of nüshu, su kelian, however, has undergone a change since nüshu became part of academic research agenda in the 1980s just as it was on the verge of disappearing. To explore the historical implications of nüshu as women’s expressive tradition and its cultural practice in changing rural China, I use two women’s experiences with nüshu for illustration, namely Yi Nianhua … (1907- 1991) and He Jinghua … (1939-). Approached from textual and practice analyses and complemented by my own field investigation conducted since 1992, I illustrate how su kelian as nüshu’s generic sentiment is capable of developing into meta-sentimental discourses and also speaks to women’s multifaceted perspectives, perspectives that may be obscured in, or even contradict, mainstream male-written historical documents. As well, I demonstrate how scholarly research, especially publication, has shaped a new poetics of nüshu: while salvaging this endangered tradition, it has redefined, if not confined, the practice of writing nüshu in contemporary China. Using a Chinese peasant woman, Hu Xinkui's ..., as a looking lens, this article unfolds the socio-cultural change of rural China in the transitional period from around Liberation in 1949 up to 1978, and even into the twenty-first century, covering a wide range of issues regarding footbinding, child brides, forced conscription, bridal lamentation, communist collectivization, and a series of political movements such as land reform, the Great Leap Forward, the Socialist Education Movement, the Four Clearing-ups Movement, and the Poor and Lower-Middle Peasants Association. Hu Xinkui, born in 1934 in Jiangyong County of Hunan Province in south China, was a child bride who was promoted as a director of Women's Affairs after Liberation because of her suppressed inferior status. It was also because of the Liberation-implemented new marriage law that laid the foundation for her husband to divorce her in 1959, for the reason of her apparent infertility and lack of romance, as well as her concern for an unmarried brother, which preoccupied her to the detriment of her own marriage. She remarried in 1964 and retired from her active political life after she had children; since then she has committed herself to being an extremely hard-working housewife. With her husband being an active and honest party cadre (including being the deputy to the 9th Party Congress in 1969), she had to find every possible source to maintain the family finance in order to receive a great deal of visiting guests and peasants, at a cost of neglecting the education of her children, two of whom were addicted to gambling. Her life story manifests how an ordinary village woman engaged with local women's expressive traditions, called ...(women's script) and ... (women's song), and how her personal life changed along with the transformation of China. Also worth noting, the life history interviews with Xinkui were conducted in the company of her daughter and son-in-law, who have assisted my nüshu research for more than a decade -- and they had never learned about Hu Xinkui's past until then. Their participation throws additional reflective light on Xinkui's life experiences in China's changing rural context. With Hu Xinkui's life history as the axis, this article aims to draw attention to the life narrative approach as a tool for collecting ethnographic data and to bring about a rethinking of its use as a conceptual framework. Recognizing the possible limitations of life narrative in terms of its partiality, lapses, mistakes, and exaggeration, I employ narratives from multiple subjects and diverse resources (e.g., literary composition, local oral traditions, and historical documents) to open up the dialogical horizon of a life narration. I demonstrate that life history as a lived experience and an account of life not only speaks to a person's lifeworld; it is also an intertextualization of the voices of multiple subject-positions: narrating subject, addressee, researcher, and the embedded context. In the case of Hu Xinkui, her life narration not only encodes her history and historiography, but also manifests how the next generation, especially her daughter, decodes her story and writes it onto their own. The article offers information on a study which examines the combined effects of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) on in vitro development and secretion of estradiol of bovine preantral follicles. It notes that the growth of prentral follicles are not influenced by the addition of LH to the culture medium. It mentions however that FSH in the culture medium stimulated the growth, and influenced the development of estradiol production of bovine preantral follicles.

This article demonstrates how a single genre may comprise multiple voices that do not necessarily coordinate but may compete with one another. More importantly, these voices are hierarchical in terms of their audibility: some are easily heard, and some are muffled or easily ignored. The degree of audibility reflects the orchestration of a particular voice in relation to the mainstream ideology. The heterogeneous (resistant or subversive) voice usually masquerades to escape repression; it is hence hardly noticed. And yet, despite its concealment, it contains the potential to throw into chaos or alter even the basic tone of the overall discourse. To capture the intricate qualities of articulation, we therefore need to be sensitive to all vocalizations, manifest and hidden. To illustrate, I use the female-specific literature known as nüshu (female writing) that was circulated exclusively among peasant women in Jiangyong County, Hunan Province, in south China. Specifically, I focus on the nüshu wedding literature, called sanzhaoshu (third-day book). My research shows that although sanzhaoshu served as a mechanism for socializing women to the male-defined value system, it also carried women's reflections and critiques on this very androcentrism. This critical discourse, however, remained unnoticed because it resided not in the text itself, but in its context. The text articulated the male-derived sancong (thrice-following) doctrine and maiden-sisterhood reminiscences, which were in accord with the Confucian social arrangements. The context in which the text was performed created a space where identity and connections could be forged among married women, an activity expressly excluded from patriarchal wedding rituals. To contrast the textual creations with contextual ones illuminates not only how diverse voices may coexist within the sanzhaoshu genre; the interplay of these also highlights how protagonists negotiate between their inner sentiments and social constraints, and how women's perspectives are complexly constructed and dialectically positioned. To solve the problems of poor engineering properties of clay and low utilisation of coir fiber, a green and high-performance soil was obtained by using coir fiber in synergy with lime for clay reinforcement. Compaction test and unconfined compression test were carried out to analyze the influence of fiber content and lime content on the early compressive strength, axial compression deformation characteristics, and deformation modulus parameters of clay. The microscopic mechanism of the synergistic effect of fiber-lime soil was analyzed by scanning electron microscope and X-ray diffraction, and then the synergistic mechanism was discussed. The results show that the addition of lime reduces the maximum dry density and increases the optimum moisture content of the clay. With an increase in lime content, the compressive strength of the soil initially exhibits a rise followed by a decline. The strain of the soil failure shows a decrease first and then an increase, indicating a brittle failure mode. Similarly, as the fiber content increases, the compressive strength of the soil also experiences an initial increase followed by a subsequent decrease. However, in this case, there is a gradual increase in failure strain suggesting a plastic failure mode. The relationship between deformation modulus and compressive strength of improved soil is linear. Lime fills up pores by reacting with the soil to form gelled substances, while fibers form a three-dimensional network structure providing growth areas for hydration products, thereby synergistically reinforcing the soil. This study can provide theoretical and technical guidance for roadbed improvement and slope repair.

The Shadong landslide, located in the Jinsha suture belt, exhibits significant signs of deformation. It is a high risk of developing into a disaster chain of landslide, river blockage, and flood, posing a serious threat to major engineering construction, transportation facilities, and people's lives and property. In this study, multi-source remote sensing dynamic monitoring, engineering geological survey, and numerical simulation were used to analyze the deformation characteristics and explore the risk of river blocking outburst of the Shadong landslide. The results show that the Shadong landslide is a giant landslide with a volume of approximately 23045×104 m3. The landslide is currently in the stage of creep deformation, with continuous deformation from 2018 to 2023. The reactivation deformation area of the landslide is mainly concentrated at the front edge of the slope, and the deformation on the downstream side is stronger than that on the upstream side. The Shadong landslide slides along the bedrock cover interface, exhibiting a traction type progressive failure. Based on stability analysis, three potential instability modes have been established. Under natural conditions, the leading edge of the secondary landslide C3 is unstable, with the landslide event lasting around 35 seconds. The maximum speed of the landslide reaches 30 m/s. The height of the barrier dam is about 90 m, and the barrier lake capacity is about 1.62×108 m3, with a maximum flood flow of approximately 3535 m3/s and a flood peak height of approximately 14 m at the dam site of the Lava Power Station after the barrier dam failure. Under storm conditions, instability occurs in zone II-2, forming a 133-meter-high barrier dam with a lake capacity of approximately 4.10×108 m3. The maximum flood flow could reach 11315 m3/s, with a maximum flood peak height of approximately 31 m at the Lava Power Station. In the event of both storm and earthquake conditions, II-1 and II-2 zone are unstable at the same time, resulting in the height of the barrier dam of approximately 153 m, with a barrier lake capacity of approximately 5.66×108 m3. The maximum flood flow is approximately 19960 m3/s, with a maximum flood peak height of approximately 45m at the dam site of the Lava Power Station after the barrier dam failure. Given the high risk of river blockage and the catastrophic potential of the Shadong landslide, continuous monitoring through integrated sky, air, ground, and interior methods is recommended. Additionally, further study is needed to establish early warning thresholds and accurately manage the risk of major geological disasters.

ObjectiveTo explore the left and right ventricular myocardial strain and dyssynchrony in patients with Micra AV leadless pacing implantation, and to further analyze the impact of implantation site on myocardial strain and dyssynchrony. MethodsA retrospective study was conducted on 43 patients with Micra AV implantation and 20 patients with high-degree atrioventricular block (Ⅱdegree typeⅡand Ⅲ degree atrioventricular block) at the Department of Cardiology, Zhongshan Hospital from April 2023 to December 2023. The demographic information and clinical characteristics of the patients were collected. Echocardiography and speckle tracking imaging techniques were used to obtain conventional echocardiographic parameters, myocardial strain, and dyssynchrony indices of patients in the two groups, including global longitudinal strain (GLS), free wall longitudinal strain (FWLS), peak strain dispersion (PSD) of 18 left ventricular segments, PSD of 6 right ventricular segments, and other indices. According to the implantation location of Micra AV, the patients were further divided into middle group (right ventricular septum), high group (right ventricular inflow tract), and low group (apical region), and the differences in myocardial strain and dyssynchrony indices among the three subgroups were compared. ResultsThe left ventricular GLS (LVGLS), right ventricular GLS (RVGLS), and right ventricular FWLS (RVFWLS) of the Micra AV group were significantly lower than those of the conduction block group (P＜0.001), and the right ventricular dyssynchrony of the Micra AV group was significantly higher than that of the conduction block group (P＜0.05). Comparison of myocardial strain and dyssynchrony at different implantation sites showed that the LVGLS of the high implantation group was significantly higher than that of the middle and low implantation groups, and the left ventricular dyssynchrony index Yu was significantly lower than that of the middle group (P＜0.05); the right ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF) of the low implantation group was significantly lower than that of the high group, and the right ventricular 6-segment PSD was significantly higher than that of the middle and high implantation groups (P＜0.05). ConclusionsCompared with patients with high-degree atrioventricular block, patients with Micra AV leadless pacing have reduced left and right ventricular strain, and the implantation of low position had greater effect.

ObjectiveTo understand the pneumococcal vaccination status and its influencing factors among young and middle-aged populations, and provide reference for promoting pneumococcal vaccination. MethodsFrom May to August 2023, a multi-stage random cluster sampling method was used to select 5 928 residents aged 19 – 59 years old from Nanchang city in Jiangxi province, Changsha city in Hunan province, and Kunming city in Yunnan province for an online questionnaire survey on pneumococcal vaccination status. ResultsAmong the 4 895 young and middle-aged people finally included in the analysis, only 833 had received pneumococcal vaccine in the past 5 years, with a pneumococcal vaccine uptake rate of 17.02%; multivariate unconditional logistic regression analysis showed that the pneumococcal vaccine uptake rates were higher among those aged 45 – 59 years old, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery production personnel, professional and technical personnel, smokers, those with general knowledge of pneumococcal diseases and vaccines, and those with general and good trust in pneumococcal vaccines, while the uptake rates were lower among those with high school/technical secondary school education or above and office clerks and related personnel; the top three reasons for pneumococcal vaccination among young and middle-aged people were disease prevention (75.87%), protecting family and colleagues (57.38%), and government and health administration recommending vaccination (43.22%), while the top three reasons for not receiving pneumococcal vaccine were worrying about adverse reactions after vaccination (42.22%), no time for vaccination (28.19%), and believing that the vaccine had limited effectiveness (25.11%), and the top three factors most likely to change vaccination willingness were free/discounted vaccines (46.63%), worrying about the impact of pneumonia infection on family and colleagues (46.53%), and government and health administration recommending vaccination (45.89%). ConclusionThe pneumococcal vaccine uptake rate among young and middle-aged populations was low, and age, education level, occupation, smoking status, knowledge of pneumococcal diseases and vaccines, and trust in vaccines was the main influencing factors for pneumococcal vaccination in this population. Comprehensive policy measures, especially the introduction of preferential policies related to pneumococcal vaccines, should be adopted to promote vaccination.

Objective To investigate the effect of stereotactic minimally invasive surgery on immune level and activities of daily living in elderly patients with glioma. Methods Ninety elderly patients with glioma admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University from March 2020 to February 2022 were selected as the study subjects and divided into two groups according to the random number table, 45 cases for each group. The control group was treated with conventional craniotomy and the observation group was treated with stereotactic minimally invasive surgery. The clinical efficacy, activities of daily living (ADL) score, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score, peripheral blood immune parameters T helper (Th) 1, Th2 and Th17 levels were compared between the two groups. Results The overall response rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group. The recurrence rate at 1 year after surgery was lower than that in the control group. After treatment, the ADL score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the NIHSS score was lower than that in the control group, the Th1 level was higher than that in the control group, and the Th2 and Th17 levels were lower than those in the control group. Objective In the process of shield construction under-passing the existing metro line in water-rich pebble stratum, irregular settlement of the overlying soil mass beyond control range may occur, potentially leading to issues such as underground water gushing and ground collapse. Therefore, it is necessary to research the construction technology for shield under-passing in proximity to operation metro tunnel in water-rich pebble stratum. Method Taking the case of shield under-passing existing Chengdu Metro Line 4 at the newly-built Fengxi Avenue Station on Chengdu Metro Line 17, on the basis of introducing project overview, four land subsidence monitoring points and four deep soil mass settlement monitoring points are selected to analyze the stratum settlement variation law during shield excavation process. A three-dimensional finite element model is created using MIDAS GTS, simulating the reinforcement construction with a combination of 38 m super-long pipe shed and oblique angle grouting. The pre-reinforcement effect on Line 4 tunnel is analyzed. Based on this, the timing for ground tracking grouting is determined, and its effectiveness is further analyzed. Result & Conclusion The reinforcement measures effectively enhance the overall integrity of structure bottom soil mass, improve the structural loading conditions, and successfully control the structural settlement of Line 4.

The purpose of this study was to obtain microbial strains capable of high-efficiency degradation of T-2 toxin and to investigate their mechanism of action. T-2 toxin-degrading microorganisms were isolated from wheat and identified and their degradation characteristics were explored; their metabolites and mechanism of action were analyzed by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-TOF-MS). The results showed that two efficient T-2 toxin degrading strains, AFJ-2 and AFJ-3, were screened from 50 wheat samples and identified respectively as Curtobacterium sp. and Bacillus sp. by morphological observation and 16S rDNA sequence analysis. T-2 toxin at 5 μg/mL was completely degraded within 7 and 12 h by strains AFJ-2 and AFJ-3, respectively, and intracellular enzymes from them could significantly degrade T-2 toxin (P < 0.05) without adsorption. Strain AFJ-2 was able to convert T-2 toxin to HT-2 toxin and T-2 triol, while strain AFJ-3 could degrade T-2 toxin to produce neosolaniol (NEO). Based on the predicted degradation sites, it was hypothesized that the two strains could work together to degrade T-2 toxin to produce a new product, 4-deacetyl-NEO. The research results enrich the strain resource bank for the biodegradation of T-2 toxin, and provide a reference for the separation and purification of T-2 toxin-degrading enzymes and the excavation of functional genes.

Gentle dip angle rock slopes are often developed in layered red rocks, which are prone to geological disasters due to the combination of soft and hard lithology. This paper discusses the Tiejiangwan rockfall that occurred on April 5, 2021, in Hongya County of Sichuan province, China, on a layered red rocks slope with a gentle dip angle. Using an air-space-ground integrated earth observation network, including optical remote sensing, UAV aerial photogrammetry, and on-site investigation, the study analyzes the basic characteristics and mechanism of rockfall and predicts the development trend of similar disasters in the steep cliff area of layered red rocks. The results show that the Tiejiangwan rockfall can be divided into two areas, namely the main rockfall area and the rockfall influence area. The main rockfall area comprises one rockfall source area, one shoveling area, one accumulation area, and one water secondary transportation accumulation area. The rockfall influence area includes one potential rockfall source area and five disturbance deformation areas. The rockfall source area has a combination of hard rocks at the top and soft rocks at the bottom, and the rock mass develops two groups of nearly vertical dominant structural planes. In 2013, the source area showed signs of deformation, which eventually lead to the instability of the dangerous rock mass due to the continuous effect of rainfall and temperature differences. The huge impact force caused the rockfall debris flow disaster chain, affecting the old rockfall accumulation body and bedrock under the dangerous rock mass. Optical remote sensing images and field investigation indicate the risk of secondary collapse in Tiejiangwan rockfall. Additionally, six similar potential rockfalls were identified in the adjacent area. To prevent similar disasters, it is recommended to use UAV aerial photogrammetry and airborne LiDAR for early identification and continuous monitoring of potential rockfalls in the steep cliff area of the Tiejianwan. The findings of this study provide valuable data support for the study of similar disasters in layered red rocks.

【Objective】Sesuvium portulacastrum, a typical coastal and mangrove associate plant, is capable of retaining sand and protecting banks. It can grow normally in seawater and has a strong salt tolerance. Na+/H+ exchange (NHX) plays a key role in salt tolerance and plant growth with development. In order to understand the role of NHX in salt tolerance of S. portulacastrum, the NHX genes were identified and analyzed.【Method】In this study, the S. portulacastrum NHX genes were identified by using informatic method through its full length transcriptome data. Their physicochemical properties, conserved motifs and evolutionary relationships were analyzed, and the expression patterns of NHX genes under s alt stress were studied by quantative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR).【Result】The results showed that 12 SpNHX genes were identified from S. portulacastrum and named as SpNHX1 to SpNHX12. The number of amino acids ranged from 276 to 554, with the molecular weight ranged from 31.22 to 61.21 kD, isoelectric point from 5.55 to 8.64, and instability ind ex from 32.14 to 50.54. All the proteins were hydrophobic. Phylogenetic analysis showed that SpNHX proteins can be divided into two subgroups. Similar conserved motifs composition was found in each subgroup. Multiple sequence alignment results showed that all SpNHX proteins had Na+/H+ exchange conserved domains. RNA-seq data and qRT-PCR results showed that SpNHX genes were induced to different degrees under salt stress, and SpNHX1, SpNHX9, SpNHX10, SpNHX11 and SpNHX12 were significantly up-regulated under salt stress.【Conclusion】This study clarified the expression patterns of NHXs in S. portulacastrum under high salt stress, indicating that SpNHX1, SpNHX9, SpNHX10, SpNHX11 and SpNHX12 may be involved in the response of S. portulacastrum to salt stress, which provided a theoretical basis for further research on the role of NHX in the process of salt tolerance of S. portulacastrum.

Based on the large number, diverse types and uneven distribution of geological disasters in Yibin City, this study takes the coupling relationship between geological disaster and lithology - structure as a starting point. Through data collection, remote sensing interpretation and field investigation, this study analyzed and summarized the control effects of formation lithology and geological structure on geological disasters. The findings can provide scientific support for the zoning and deployment of geological disaster prevention and mitigation in Yibin City. The results show that geological disasters in Yibin City are closely related to lithology. Landslides （including unstable slopes）, collapses, and ground collapses are widely distributed in soft and hard massive layered clastic rock formations. Additionally, the transition zone between hard layered massive carbonate rock formation and soft hard clastic rock formation is conducive to the development of collapse. Debris flows are distributed in rock formations that are easily weathered and can provide rich material sources. Regional geological structure also influences the overall distribution of geological disasters, particularly the consistency between the strike of folds and faults and the overall distribution of geological disasters. The degree of geological disaster development varies with different local tectonic environments. In fold structures, geological disasters are primarily concentrated within 2 km of the fold core, with density increasing gradually as the distance from the fold core increases. In the fault structure, the density of geological disasters points increases as one approaches the fault plane, with the control effect of faults on geological disasters particularly evident within 1 km. This study recommends that the northern part of the study area, specifically Fengtan Village in Gaoxian County and Heping Village in Jiang’an County, prioritize landslide prevention and control measures, such as group prevention and group strategy. In contrast, the southern part should prioritize measures to prevent and control collapses and ground collapses, such as professional monitoring, relocation, and avoidance.

【Objective】To study the removal effect of different woody plants on pollutants in mariculture wastewater, and to provide reference for the purification of mariculture wastewater by plants.【Method】Terminalia neotaliala Capuron and Buxus sinica were selected for hydroponic pot experiment to study the effects of different salinity (0 ‰, 2.5 ‰, 5 ‰, 7.5 ‰, 10 ‰, 15 ‰, 20 ‰) on the purification of mariculture wastewater.【Result】(1) The removal rates of TN and TP by T. neotaliala Capuron and B. sinica decreased with the increase of salinity, and the removal rate of COD fluctuated with the increase of salinity. The removal efficiency of TN and TP by T. neotaliala Capuron was higher than that of B. sinica. (2) Under different salinity conditions, the two plants had different absorption and removal effects on nitrogen and phosphorus. The accumulation of nitrogen showed the rule of underground > aboveground. The accumulation of phosphorus in T. neotaliala Capuron showed underground > aboveground at low salinity, while the accumulation of phosphorus in B. sinica fluctuated with the increase of salinity. The accumulation of nitrogen and phosphorus in T. neotaliala Capuron was higher than that in B. sinica. When the salinity was 0‰, 2.5‰, 5‰, 7.5‰, 10‰, 15‰, 20‰, the amount of nitrogen and phosphorus taken away by T. neotaliala Capuron absorption was 1.83 mg/g, 2.01 mg/g, 1.78 mg/g, 1.91 mg/g, 1.95 mg/g, 1.35 mg/g and 1.68 mg/ g, respectively. With the increase of salinity, the accumulation of K+ in T. neotaliala Capuron and B. sinica fluctuated greatly, while the accumulation of Na+ showed an increasing trend. When salinity > 2.5 ‰, the accumulation of Na+ showed the rule of aboveground > underground, and the increase of Na+ accumulation reduced the ability of plants to remove nitrogen and phosphorus. (3) pH, ORP, DO and other environmental factors have a certain influence on the removal of pollutants from sewage and the absorption of nitrogen, phosphorus, K+ and Na+ by plants.【Conclusion】The two plants have a certain removal effect on the pollutants of mariculture wastewater, and the purification effect is better than CK. The purification effect of T. neotaliala Capuron on mariculture wastewater is better than that of B. sinica. T. neotaliala Capuron can be preferentially selected for the treatment of mariculture wastewater.

As a green forest vegetable rich in fiber and protein and low in fat and sugar, bamboo shoots are becoming more and more popular. However, the harvesting season of bamboo shoots is concentrated and the metabolism is vigorous after harvesting, which makes it susceptible to rot and aging during transportation and storage, causing a great reduction in the nutritional and commercial values. This paper introduces the mouthfeel, morphology, geographical origin and harvest time of edible bamboo shoots in China, describes the postharvest physiological and biochemical changes of bamboo shoots in terms of its appearance and quality, respiration, transpiration and lignification, and provides a detailed summary of the applications of different preservation methods (traditional, physical, chemical and biological preservation) for the preservation of bamboo shoots. which will provide a reference for developing new technologies for the storage and preservation of bamboo shoots based on postharvest physiological and biochemical changes.

Objective To investigate the value of cystatin C-based estimated glomerular filtration rate （eGFR-CysC） combined with thromboelastogram （TEG） to predict clinical prognosis of patients with acute-on-chronic liver failure （ACLF）. Methods 34 patients with ACLF （ACLF group）， 26 patients with chronic hepatitis （chronic hepatitis group） and 30 patients with cirrhosis （cirrhosis group） were selected. Laboratory parameters within 24 h after admission， TEG parameters and eGFR-CysC value were collected and compared among three groups. All patients were divided into different groups according to the incidence of complications and prognosis. The risk factors affecting clinical prognosis of ACLF patients were analyzed by binary logistic regression analysis. The predictive value of these risk factors for clinical prognosis of ACLF patients was assessed by the receiver operating characteristic （ROC）curve. Results There were significant differences in the white blood cell count （WBC）， alanine aminotransferase （ALT）， total bilirubin （TBIL）， albumin （ALB）， C-reactive protein （CRP）， prothrombin time activity （PTA）， prothrombin time （PT）， international normalized ratio （INR）， reaction time of TEG （R）， maximum amplitude （MA） and eGFR-CysC among different groups （all P < 0.05）. ACLF intra-group analysis showed that MA and eGFR-CysC were significantly different between patients with or without acute renal injury （both P < 0.05）， R and MA were significantly different between patients with or without upper gastrointestinal bleeding （both P < 0.05）， MA and eGFR-CysC significantly differed between the death and survival groups （both P < 0.05）. Binary logistic regression analysis suggested that MA （OR=0.439， 95%CI 0.231-0.833， P = 0.012） and eGFR-CysC （OR=0.931， 95%CI 0.878-0.988， P = 0.018） were the risk factors affecting short-term prognosis of ACLF. MA combined with eGFR-CysC yielded similar prognostic value in patients with ACLF （AUC=0.933， 95%CI 0.792-0.990） compared with Model for End-Stage Liver Disease （MELD） （AUC=0.839， 95%CI 0.672-0.942） （P > 0.05）. Conclusion MA and eGFR-CysC can predict clinical prognosis of ACLF patients. MA combined with eGFR-CysC yield similar predictive value for ACLF compared with MELD.

Serotonin syndrome (SS) is an adverse drug reaction characterized by neuromuscular hyperexcitability that is mild in most cases but can be life-threatening in some cases. This paper reports a case of a 87-year-old man with Parkinson’s disease who was hospitalized due to pulmonary infection and fever. The clinical symptoms were improved after treatment. Subsequently, his condition fluctuated, including high fever, sweating, disturbance of consciousness, high muscle tone and elevated creatine kinase. After combining his clinical manifestations with his history of concomitant medication, the doctors found that the patient had overdosed on selegiline and had an adverse reaction with anti-infective drug linezolid. The patients was diagnosed having SS promptly and was treated actively and properly, including discontinuation of related medications, and physical cooling, extensive fluid rehydration, and symptomatic supportive treatment. Thus the patient’s condition was effectively controlled within 24 hours. The symptoms were basically improved 3 days after onset and completely relieved 5 days after onset. Prevention is the key point to SS, and clinicians should strengthen their awareness.

To explore the anti-inflammatory mechanism of Camellia oleifera seed oil, the metabolites in ethanol extracts from 15 batches of C. oleifera seeds were analyzed by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) and the inhibitory activity of the ethanol extracts on enteritis in Drosophila was evaluated by the “Smurf” test. The correlation between small molecular metabolites in the ethanol extracts and their anti-inflammatory activity was investigated and molecular docking with lipoxidase (LOX) was conducted to identify the key metabolites. Finally, the key metabolites were verified by the “Smurf” test. The results showed that the ethanol extract of C. oleifera seeds had good enteritis inhibitory activity, with percentage inhibition of 15.06%–61.71%, and its metabolites mainly included polyphenols, amino acids, organic acids, nucleotides, sugars and lipids. Seven polyphenolic compounds were identified in C. oleifera seeds for the first time. The monomeric compounds with good anti-enteritis activity were preliminarily identified as bruceine B, miltirone, 8-geranyloxypsoralen, cedrelone, wighteone, kaempferitrin and kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside. The anti-inflammatory activity of wighteone was reported for the first time in this study, and at 0.1 mg/mL, the percentage inhibition of enteritis was 64%, much greater than the positive control sulfasalazine (27.99%). This study lays the foundation for further exploring the anti-enteritis activity and mechanism of C. oleifera seed oil in vitro and in vivo.

ObjectiveTo examine the survival time of child human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/AIDS patients and its influencing factors in Anhui province. MethodsFollow-up and medication information on all laboratory confirmed AIDS patients aged ≤ 15 years at the diagnosis and being permanent residents of Anhui province were collected from National Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Information Management System up to the end of 2020 and analyzed retrospectively. The survival rate was calculated with life table method and impact factors of survival were assessed using Cox regression model. ResultsAmong a total of 329 child HIV/AIDS patients being followed-up during the period, 54 died of AIDS-related diseases and the mortality rate was 2.2/100 person-years. The results of Cox proportional hazards regression analysis showed that for all the child patients, the children with AIDS at the time of first diagnosis and not receiving antiretroviral therapy were at a significantly higher risk of AIDS-related disease mortality, with the hazard ratio (HR) of 5.32 (95% confidence interval [95% CI] : 2.70 – 10.47) and 28.29 (95% CI : 14.63 – 54.70) compared to those not having AIDS at the first diagnosis and to those receiving antiretroviral therapy; among the child patients with antiretroviral therapy, the risk of AIDS-related disease mortality were significantly higher for those aged < 5 years at the first diagnosis (versus aged 11 – 15 years: HR = 6.18, 95% CI : 14.63 – 54.70 ), having AIDS at the first diagnosis (versus having HIV infection: HR = 5.07, 95% CI : 1.27 – 20.29), and with the baseline CD4 + T lymphocyte count of < 50 cells/μL (HR = 10.99, 95% CI : 2.04 – 59.20) or 50 – 200 cells/μL (HR = 8.40, 95% CI : 1.35 – 52.26) compared to the child patients with the baseline count of > 200 cells/μL, respectively. ConclusionAmong child HIV/AIDS patients in Anhui province, antiretroviral therapy is an important factor for survival and the baseline CD4 + T lymphocyte count is the key factor affecting the effect of antiretroviral therapy.

Traditional cloud providers provide services solely for users,which has problems of insufficient local cloud resources and high expansion costs.While the emerging multi-cloud combines services of cloud providers with different geographical locations providing users with more choices and has gradually become a research hotspot.At the same time,workflow scheduling is one of the key problems in multi-cloud research.Therefore,this paper firstly makes a thorough investigation and analysis on workflow scheduling technology in multi-cloud environment,then compares and classifies the workflow scheduling method inclu-ded.This paper focuses on single objective workflow scheduling optimization problem for cost and completion time,multi-objective optimization workflow scheduling problem for cost and completion time,for response time and cost,for reliability,cost and completion time,and for other multi-objective optimization.Finally,the future research directions of workflow scheduling in the multi-cloud environment are discussed,including uncertain workflow scheduling,joint scheduling optimization of energy consumption and other objectives,scheduling optimization with edge servers,and hybrid scheduling of virtual machine and Serverless platform.

Under the tide led by artificial intelligence, the application of deep learning methods in underwater target recognition has gained increasing attention. However, obtaining underwater sample data from actual scientific research is extremely difficult because of environmental constraints, time, cost, and other factors. An insufficient number of samples leads to poor training effects in deep learning models. Generative adversarial networks(GAN), a new artificial intelligence technology, have a wide range of applications in data enhancement, image generation, and other fields. However, the traditional GAN model is unsuitable for underwater echo samples and cannot be used directly for sample data generation. Therefore, this study proposed an underwater echo signal generation method based on an improved GAN for a small sample to address the problem of insufficient underwater target data. Combining the characteristics of the echo signal, the study designed and built a convolution unit-based GAN model. Furthermore, an echo signal generation simulation experiment was carried out using the pool experimental test data. Finally, the effectiveness of the generated signal was verified at the level of the signal waveform and amplitude probability distribution. The experimental results show that the improved GAN model proposed in this study is suitable for generating highly realistic original echo signals in the case of small samples, which provides a new idea for the active detection and recognition of underwater targets.

In order to investigate the influence of soot on the anti-wear property of molybdenum dialkyldithiocarbamate(MoDTC) and zinc dialkyldithiophosphate(ZDDP), the soot was added into different oil samples and then a four-ball machine friction experiment was carried out on the samples. Results showed that when the mass fractions of MoDTC and ZDDP were 0.3% and 0.9% respectively in the partially synthetic diesel engine oil base oil added with soot, the wear scar diameters of the oil samples were about 0.59 mm and 0.49 mm. Compared with the base oil, the wear scar diameter of the oil samples containing ZDDP decreased by about 17.86%, while that of the oil samples containing MoDTC had no significant change. The existence of soot reduced the anti-wear property of MoDTC and ZDDP, and the main reason was that the soot scratched the protective film on the surface of the friction pair and so aggravated the wear. However, the combination of MoDTC and ZDDP led to a synergistic effect, and the anti-wear property of oil sample was improved. The corresponding wear scar diameter was about 0.46 mm, which was reduced by about 22.09% and 6.10% respectively compared with the single-agent oil samples. Through the analysis of the elements on the surface of the wear scar, it was found that the improvement of the anti-wear property after compounding was attributed to the synergistic effect between molybdenum element and sulfur and phosphorus elements, which resulted in a chemical reaction film formed and adsorbed on the surface of the friction pair, and thus leading to a more excellent anti-wear property.

Objective: To discuss the clinicopathologic characteristics of pulmonary mixed squamous cell and glandular papilloma(PMSGP), and to analyze the key points for diagnosis and the causes of misdiagnosis of frozen section. Methods: Two cases of PMSGP diagnosed by pathology at Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from 2019 to 2021 were enrolled, and the clinicopathologic and immunohistochemical characteristics and key points of frozen section diagnosis were analyzed based on literature review. Results: Two patients, a 74-year-old female and a 66-year-old male, were found to have pulmonary nodules in physical examination. One patient had chest tightness and pain. All nodules were considered as malignant tumors on imaging and lobectomy was performed. Frozen sections indicated one case was diagnosed as mucinous adenocarcinoma and the other diagnosed as PMSGP, but mucoepidermoid carcinoma could not be ruled out. In the paraffin section, the tumor sizes of 2 cases were 3.0 cm×2.5 cm×2.5 cm and 1.7 cm×1.7 cm×1.6 cm respectively. PMSGP displayed a papillary growth pattern lined by glandular epithelial cells and squamous cells. Inflammatory cells were observed along the papillary axis. Squamous epithelium could be mild to moderately atypical with rare mitosis and no necrosis. Immunohistochemistry examination showed that CK7 and TTF-1 were expressed in glandular epithelial cells, MUC5AC was expressed in mucinous columnar epithelial cells, squamous cells and basal-like cells expressed CK5/6, P63, P40 and Ki-67 was highly expressed only in the basal layer. MAML2 rearrangement was not detected in the 2 cases by FISH. No recurrence or metastasis was observed at 9 and 24 months of follow-up. A literature review of 39 cases showed that due to the morphological crossover with mucoepidermoid carcinoma and mucinous adenocarcinoma, and the atypical nature of the covered squamous epithelium was easily amplified in frozen section diagnosis, the misdiagnosis rate of PMSGP of tumor properties on frozen section is as high as 52.6%. Conclusions: PMSGP is a rare benign tumor of the lung, that has a high rate of misdiagnosis on frozen section. On frozen section, the tumor is well defined and has a papillary structure. The papilla is covered with squamous epithelium and glandular epithelium. Basal cells are arranged in a palisade pattern along the fibrovascular axis, and the cells are stratified without atypia. Mastering these characteristics helps to improve the diagnostic accuracy of frozen section.

The primer coating technology applicable to a variety of aluminum alloys and steel materials has become a key requirement for the manufacturing of lightweight body for new energy vehicles. In this paper, a study on chemical conversion of metal surfaces based on the titanium/zirconium composite system was carried out on 6061 and 7075 aluminum alloys and galvanized steel. The effects of H2TiF6 concentration, H2ZrF6 concentration and process parameters on the corrosion resistance of the coatings formed on the surfaces of the three metals were investigated through copper sulfate spot experiments, and the corrosion resistance of the coatings was verified by electrochemical testing. Moreover, the scanning electron microscope and the energy spectrometer were employed to observe and analyze the surface morphology and element composition of the conversion coatings. Results showed that after a conversion treatment under the conditions that the H2TiF6 concentration was 1.60～2.00 mL/L, the H2ZrF6 concentration was 0.80～1.30 mL/L, the conversion time was 90 ～ 150 s, the pH value was 3.5 ～ 4.5, and the temperature was 30～40 ℃, these three kinds of metal materials possessed good corrosion resistance. The Jcorr of three metal materials decreased significantly in comparison with that of the blank sample, and the Ecorr of the blank sample was significantly lower than that of the other samples. In addition, the EIS spectrum showed that the film resistance Rct of the three metal materials treated with chemical conversion was significantly higher than that of the blank sample. The differences in the surface microstructure of the samples at different times was observed by SEM, and there were significantly fewer micropores and cracks on the surfaces of 6061 and 7075 aluminum alloys and galvanized steel after a treatment for 120 s.

The main mission of an intercept missile equipped on surface warships is to intercept incoming anti-ship torpedoes as a hard-kill countermeasure. After the intercept missile receives the ignition signal from the system, the engine ignites and the body of the intercept missile flies out of the launching tube. When the missile enters water, the acoustic fuse completes separation process by igniting the suspension device to separate the missile body, and the air collar inflates and floats. Finally, the missile body starts to operate normally when it is stably suspended. Therefore, whether the launch, flight, and water-entering separation processes of the intercept missile are normal significantly affects its operational effectiveness. However, there are a series of practical problems concerning the intercept missile test in challenging marine conditions, such as difficulties in organizing and implementing testing, product recovery, and obtaining test data measurement. According to the technical characteristics and operating environment of the equipment, this paper proposes the performance requirements that should be satisfied when using the intercept missile. A comprehensive assessment method combining experimental verification and simulation calculations is proposed for the assessment. Studies regarding whether the attack angle, water-entering overload, and connector stress performance of the intercept missile can satisfy the requirements of challenging marine conditions are described. The results show that the intercept missile can meet the performance requirements of challenging marine conditions in the aforementioned three aspects. The findings can provide technical support for making evaluation conclusions on the adaptability of intercept missiles in challenging marine conditions.
