BACKGROUND: With the continuous improvement and progress of the magnetically controlled growing rod technology in the field of the treatment of spinal deformities, numerous studies have been put into this field, but the main research status, hot spots, and development trends are not clear enough. OBJECTIVE: Based on bibliometrics, this paper discusses the quality and quantity of articles in the field of using magnetically controlled growing rods to treat spinal deformities from different countries, aiming to clarify the global development trend of magnetically controlled growing rods and evaluate the research productivity, research trends, and research hotspots in the world. METHODS: The articles published from 1998 to 2023 were retrieved mainly based on the Web of Science database. CiteSpace 5.8 and VOSviewer 1.6.19 software were used to analyze the data and generate a visual knowledge map. The following parameters were evaluated for all studies: the total number of published papers, centrality, h index, the contribution of countries, authors, and journals, and the trend and hot spots were explored through the analysis of co-citation, highly cited literature, and literature keyword explosion. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) Finally, 138 articles were included. From 2009 to 2020, the number of published articles in this field gradually increased. The United States has the largest number of articles (53, 37.32%), and the United States has the highest h index and centrality of articles. (2) The results of keyword analysis showed that: the top ten keywords, such as early-onset scoliosis, surgery, complications, and so on, objectively and truly reflected the current situation and hot spots of magnetically controlled growing rod in the field of spinal deformity treatment. In recent years, the research focus in this field is the treatment failure caused by risk factors such as the pull-out of the magnetically controlled growing rod, implantation failure, and rod fracture, the accurate use of the corresponding medical classification, the monitoring and treatment of complications such as quality of life and cerebral palsy. (3) The co-citation results showed that: combined with the innovative and effective research of the magnetically controlled growing rod technology, the classification application of spinal deformity and the monitoring and treatment of related complications may be the research trend in this field. (4) Many highly cited articles further emphasized the therapeutic effect of magnetically controlled growing rod technology, providing an effective new idea and technical support for the field of spinal deformity correction. (5) The results of literature keyword explosion analysis demonstrate that the risk factors, medical classification, quality of life, and cerebral palsy of the application of magnetically controlled growing rods may become the research frontier in this field. (6) It can be seen that the application of magnetically controlled growing rod technology in the classification of spinal deformities and the in-depth study of related complications are the development trend in this field, but to further understand the effectiveness and safety of magnetically controlled growing rod technology in the treatment of spinal deformities, we still need long-term follow-up evidence. The overall research level of this field has steadily improved in recent years, but there are also problems such as the small number of high-quality articles and the unbalanced development of research in various regions. " Acupuncture Anesthesia in the People's Republic of China： A Trip Report of the American Acupuncture Anesthesia Study Group " ( Report for short) is the first extraterritorial systematic investigation and evaluation report in the history of acupuncture anesthesia in China. After Report was released to the public, it has not drawn much attention in China. At the moment when acupuncture anesthesia is extended to perioperative treatment, by reviewing the Report , the differences in understanding acupuncture anesthesia were analyzed from a foreign perspective. Report involves the clinical observation of surgery under acupuncture anesthesia, the analysis on the factors of acupuncture anesthesia in therapeutic effects and the relevant mechanisms, and the differences in the research methods and foci on the recognition of acupuncture anesthesia between China and foreign countries. In association with the development of acupuncture anesthesia during the past 65 years and the conclusion in Report , the paper briefly describes the development and perfection of acupuncture anesthesia, the historical verification to the conclusions in Report and the limitations in modern acupuncture anesthesia. It provides some inspiration for the development of acupuncture anesthesia, acupuncture-moxibustion medicine and life science in the future.

With the rapid development of synthetic biology, lots of synthetic biology technology achievements in various application fields have been commercialized, generating broad market prospects. The commercialization of products employing synthetic biology technology (hereinafter referred as synthetic biology products) has brought benefits to human beings, but it has also produced potential safety risks. At present, relevant laws and standards for regulation of biotechnology or genetically modified organisms have been adopted to regulate the safety risks of commercialization of synthetic biology products (CSBP). However, due to the complexity and uncertainty of synthetic biology, the safety risks of CSBP cannot be comprehensively regulated by these laws and standards. Therefore, it is of great significance to formulate specific supervision and management measures for regulating the safety risks of CSBP. This paper summarized the situation of CSBP in the fields of food, medical care, agriculture, environment, energy and materials, analyzed the safety risks existing in the CSBP, and sorted out current supervision situation of its safety risks in European countries, United States, as well as in China. We further proposed suggestions on the safety supervision and management measures on the safety risks of CSBP, including classified examination and approval, classified identification of products, and strict screening and approval of market entities before entering the market, and strengthening safety supervision and emergency treatment as well as accident responsibility investigation after entering the market. This whole-process safety regulation might provide support for the safety of CSBP and promote the healthy and long-term development of synthetic biology industry.

Pressure injury (PI) not only reduces the quality of life of patients but also is expensive to manage, placing a heavy financial burden on patients and their families, and society. Despite the increasing diversity of methods used to identify early PI, there are still few methods that can truly and accurately predict early PI. The sub-epidermal moisture scanner is the first U.S. Food and Drug Administration-authorized PI management device that can predict the occurrence and development of PI by measuring the level of local tissue bio-capacitance and monitoring the tissue viability. As an emerging diagnostic instrument, the sub-epidermal moisture scanner has already shown great advantages in clinical practice, which can promote the informatization, digitization, and intelligent prevention and management of PI. This paper introduces the pathophysiological mechanism of PI, elucidates the working principle and parameter settings of the sub-epidermal moisture scanner, its clinical application in monitoring tissue viability in early PI, and its limitation, and looks forward to its future development.

In November 2023, the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics jointly released key updates to the neonatal resuscitation guidelines based on new clinical evidence. This update serves as an important supplement to the "Neonatal resuscitation: 2020 American Heart Association guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiovascular care". The aim of this paper is to outline the key updates and provide guidance on umbilical cord management and the selection of positive pressure ventilation equipment and its additional interfaces in neonatal resuscitation.

The international community has paid increasing attention to the prevention and control of ecological environment and health risks. Up to now, the development of green alternative technologies and materials, control of new pollutants, and the prevention and control of ecological environment risks in the whole service life of chemicals have become the focus of ecological environment management and research in developed countries. To promote the substitution of toxic and harmful chemicals in China, this paper systematically sorts out the evaluation methods of alternatives for environmental design in the United States, and elaborates the evaluation indicators, classification standards, data sources, as well as the principles and steps of alternative evaluation. In addition, this paper summarizes and analyzes the reference value of the evaluation methods of alternatives for environmental design in the United States from the perspective of new pollutants control in China. This study can provide references for the establishment of green alternative technology and assessment system of new pollutants in the environmental management of toxic and harmful chemicals and the control of new pollutants in China. Objective: To analyze the literature on electric burns published at home and abroad, and to explore the research hotspots and frontiers of electric burns. Methods: The bibliometric method was used. The Chinese and English literature related to electric burns published in China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang database, VIP database and the core collection of Web of Science database from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2022 were searched respectively, and the CiteSpace 6.2.R2 software was used for analysis. The number of papers, authors, countries, and institutions of Chinese and English literature were counted respectively, and the co-occurrence analysis of keywords and mutation analysis and cluster analysis on the basis of the co-occurrence analysis were conducted, besides, the clustering time line figure was obtained after the keywords were sorted by time to explore the current research status and the evolution process of hotspots in the field of electric burns. Results: A total of 398 English papers were retrieved from the core collection of Web of Science database, and a total of 523 Chinese papers were retrieved from China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang database, and VIP database after duplicate check. From 2013 to 2022, the number of English literature published in the field of electric burns showed a steadily upward trend, and the number of published Chinese literature showed a downward trend and tended to be stable. In Chinese literature, a total of 302 authors as the first author published papers related to electric burns, with 17 core authors published ≥3 papers; in English literature, a total of 320 authors as the first author published papers related to electric burns. Researches on electric burns were carried out in 65 countries, with United States having the most cooperation with other countries and the largest number of papers published. A total of 512 institutions at home and abroad published papers related to electric burns, and the institutions with the largest number of Chinese and English papers were Shanghai Electric Power Hospital in China ( n =14) and Hallym University in Korea ( n =11), respectively. A total of 1 176 Chinese keywords and 1 068 English keywords were included for co-occurrence analysis after excluding keywords related to the searching words. The top three keywords in frequency in Chinese literature were surgical flap, wound repair, and nursing, and the top three keywords in frequency in English literature were management, epidemiology, and children. Ten clusters were obtained by keyword analysis in Chinese literature, and the largest cluster was wound healing, followed by clinical effects and surgical flaps. Seven clusters were obtained by keyword analysis in English literature, and the largest cluster was reconstructive surgical procedures, followed by chronic pain and shock. The persistent clusters in Chinese literature were wound healing and clinical outcomes, etc., and the prominent nodes in the recent two years were surgical timing, limb electric burns, and hypertrophic scars; the persistent clusters in English literature were reconstructive surgical procedures and chronic pain, etc., and the prominent nodes in the recent two years were predictors and burn management, etc. In Chinese literature, the keyword with the longest duration of mutation (2017-2021) was wrist electric burns, and the keyword with the highest intensity of mutation was flap repair; in English literature, the keyword with the longest duration of the mutation (2019-2022) was voltage, and the keyword with the highest intensity of mutation was prevention. Conclusions: There are similarities and differences in the research directions and hotspots of electric burns at home and abroad. Surgical flap repair is a common research hotspot at home and abroad. At present, domestic research focuses on wound healing, wrist electric burns, and other aspects, while international research focuses on treatment management, epidemiology, reconstruction, and other aspects.

Since the signing of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in 1992, the United States has shown a sometimes conservative and sometimes radical pendulum in its position on several key subsidiary climate treaties. For example, in 1997, the United States Congress refused to approve the Kyoto Protocol signed by former US vice president Al Gore. In 2015, President Obama used executive power to bypass Congress to sign the Paris Agreement. In 2017, President Trump announced the withdrawal of the US from the Paris Agreement. These seemingly confusing behaviors actually reflect the contradictions and conflicts in the formulation of climate policy of the United States. Using neoclassical realism theory as the analytical framework, the authors of this paper explore how such several key variables as leader image and perception, partisan politics, and civil society and lobbying groups shape the climate policy of the United States. Targeted temperature management (TTM) has been partially applied in patients with restoration of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) after cardiac arrest (CA). In the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) guidelines, TTM is used as advanced life support after ROSC for the treatment of patients with CPR. TTM has a protective effect on cardiac function after CA, but the specific mechanism of its protective effect on cardiac function remains unclear. In this paper, the basic experimental progress, clinical trial progress and development prospect of TTM on the protective mechanism of cardiac function after CA are reviewed.

Since around the 1970s, the United States has published numerous collections of translated Chinese Chan poetry and single volumes of poems by Chan hermit poets, gradually forming a prominent feature and a sub-field of translation poetry in the introduction of Chinese classical poetry into the US. Chan poetry translation can be classified as literature translation, poetry, as well as religious text. The author intends to trace and sort out the historical context of the formation of the field of Chan poetry translation in the United States from three aspects: religion, literature, and poetry translation at the time of the occurrence of Chan poetry translation in English, and to reproduce the origin and development of Chan poetry translation in the United States. Objective: based on summarizing the simulation and prediction of tobacco control measures across the globe and sorting out the various scenarios of tobacco control measures, the potential short-term effects of seven tobacco control measures in different scenarios were systematically analyzed. Methods: Until April 2022, PubMed, Embase, EconLit, PsychINFO, and CINAHL databases were used to retrieve literature about tobacco control measures simulation and prediction models across the globe. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were strictly followed. Meta-analysis for the potential short-term effects of seven tobacco control measures in different scenarios was performed using the R software. Results: A total of 22 papers covering 16 countries were selected. Five studies were conducted in the United States, three in Mexico, and two in Italy. There were all papers with the measures to tax increases, smoke-free air laws, and mass media campaigns, 21 papers with youth access restrictions, 20 with marketing restrictions, and 19 with cessation treatment programs and health warnings. The tax increases had diverse influences on the price elasticity of different age groups. The price elasticity in the age group 15-17 years was the highest, which was 0.044 (95% CI : 0.038-0.051). The potential short-term effects of smoke-free air laws in workplaces were higher than in restaurants and other indoor public places. The effects of youth access restrictions were greater in the age group <16 years than in the age group 16-17. The stronger the implementation of other measures, the greater the potential short-term effects. A comparison of seven tobacco control measures showed that the cessation treatment programs increase in cessation rate was the highest, 0.404 (95% CI : 0.357-0.456). The reduction in smoking rate and reduction in initiation rate of youth access restrictions strongly enforced and publicized was the highest in the age group <16 years, 0.292 (95% CI : 0.269-0.315), and 0.292 (95% CI : 0.270-0.316). Conclusions: The potential short-term effects of seven tobacco control measures in different scenarios were evaluated more accurately and objectively through Meta-analysis. In the short term, cessation treatment programs will substantially increase smoking cessation rates, and strong youth access enforcement will sharply reduce smoking and initiation rates among adolescents under 16. These results also offer strong data-related support for the simulation and prediction of tobacco control measures in China and other countries.

Skin microbiome is closely related to skin health. It plays an important role in maintaining skin health, resisting the invasion of foreign microorganisms and participating in skin tissue metabolism. It also provides ideas for the research and development of skin therapeutic drugs and skin care products. In recent years, the literatures on skin microecology are increasing year by year. With the help of literature measurement method and knowledge map visualization software VOSviewer, this paper made quantitative statistics and comparative analysis on the distribution trend, distribution volume of major countries, distribution institutions and research topics from 2010 to 2022. The results show that in recent years, the research in the field of skin microecology has attracted worldwide attention. Its research topics mainly include "skin diseases caused by microecological imbalance and the relationship, pathogenesis and mechanism between some skin diseases and skin microorganisms", "skin problems caused by harmful flora", "diversity of skin microorganisms and influencing factors of colonization", and "genetic correlation of skin microbial community". The majority researches focus on the imbalance of skin microecology and the diversity of skin microorganisms. Then, the differences in research fields between China and the United States are analyzed and compared. Rural domestic wastewater in China has scattered discharge, difficult centralized treatment, and a wide pollution area, which has caused serious water environment pollution in rural areas. This is a prominent problem for the improvement of the rural living environment at present in China. After more than 100 years of development, rural decentralized wastewater treatment in the United States is well developed, with lessons worth learning for our country. By examining the development process for rural wastewater treatment in the United States, this paper summarizes successful experiences from rural decentralized wastewater treatment in the United States in relevant policies and laws, application technology, technical specifications and standards, financial support, and operation management. These findings offer important insights for rural wastewater treatment in China. Respiratory tract viruses are the second leading cause of olfactory dysfunction. Between 2019 to 2022, the world has been plagued by the problem of olfaction caused by the COVID-19. Combination products face unique R&D, manufacturing, clinical, and regulatory challenges compared to individual devices, drugs, or biological products. Based on the interpretation of the relevant policies and the latest principles of combination products, this paper expounds the FDA's guidance, application trends, and application strategies for the pre-market pathways of combination products, with a view to providing relevant information for Chinese researchers and manufacturers when they start to entry the United States market.

This paper studies the necessity of the current legislation on the supervision of medical devices in China from the perspectives of strengthening administration according to law, protecting public health, perfecting the legal system of medicine and promoting the development of the medical device industry. This study analyzes and summarizes the legislative experiences and forms in the field of medical device regulation in the United States, the European Union, Japan and other countries and regions, at present, the conditions of carrying out the legislation of medical device supervision in China are quite mature, and some policy suggestions are put forward for the enactment of the law of medical device management in China .

Objective: To analyze the hot research topics and frontiers of preclinical dentistry education with bibliometric methods., Methods: We launched searches in the Web of Science Core Collection database to find relevant literature on preclinical dentistry education, with the time frame of the searches limited between the creation of the database and January 1, 2022. After data extraction, we used the CiteSpace software to conduct visualized analysis of a number of factors, including the number of publications, countries, institutions, authors, keywords, etc., Results: A total of 322 articles and reviews were included in the study, and the annual publication volume showed a trend of steady growth in the past decade. With 98 papers, the United States had the most number of published papers. The United States and the United Kingdom were important countries in the national cooperation network. There were 10 institutions that published more than 5 articles. The total number of authors of the papers covered in the study was as many as 410. One author published 4 articles and was the most published author among them. The hot research topics of preclinical dentistry education included computer-assisted instruction, instructional methodology, clinical skills and 3D printing. Moreover, computer-assisted instruction was the new hot issue of the past decade. Microsimulation model simulates individuals and estimates transition probabilities within the population using individual participant data. This approach could deal with the heterogeneous characteristics among the people or personal history of diseases and may be relevant in addressing cost-effectiveness problems of screening for complex conditions in epidemiology. This paper introduces the general principles, basic steps involved in implementation, analytic methods, and other related issues of the microsimulation model. Based on a practical research case of estimating the cost-effectiveness of microalbuminuria screening for chronic kidney disease in the United States, critical points in applications of the microsimulation model for cost-effectiveness analysis of screening were discussed in detail, including model development, model analysis, and the interpretation of the results. The microsimulation model considers the dynamic nature of complex diseases by estimating a broad range of individual characteristics and increasingly used to provide insights into complex problems that the Markov model does not efficiently address. For better supporting evidence-informed decision-making in public health, future studies should be aware of the accuracy of parameters in the decision-analytic model and the transparency of the models and results, as well as complying with the relevant reporting standards.

This study aims to summarize the research hotspots of Hedysari Radix and predict the research trend with bibliometric methods, which is expected to serve as a reference for future research. CiteSpace V 5.8.R2 was employed for visualization of the number, authors, author affiliations, journals, funds, and keywords of the Chinese and English articles on Hedysari Radix in China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) and Web of Science(WOS) from 2001 to 2021. A total of 693 Chinese articles and 167 English articles were finally included. According to the knowledge map, most of the articles were from China and the authors from China had a close cooperation with the related institutions in the United States and Australia. Gansu University of Chinese Medicine(288) and Lanzhou University(151) respectively came out on top of the author affiliations in the number of Chinese and English articles. The journals were mainly about Chinese medicine, mainly including Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Evidence-based Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Papers(191 in Chinese and 60 in English) funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China were the most. Keyword analysis suggested that the main research directions were pharmacological action and mechanism, component analysis, content determination, and industrialization of medicinal materials of Hedysari Radix and that the research hotspots were the prevention and treatment of diabetes and its complications, tumors, myocardial injury, liver fibrosis and other diseases with active components such as polysaccharides, ultrafiltrate, formononetin, and calycosin. The targets, signaling pathways, and genes related to the anti-tumor, heart protection, prevention and treatment of diabetes and its complications, and regulation of immunity should be further studied.

Objective To systematically analyze the international progress of community palliative care and to provide reference for promoting the development of community palliative care in China.Methods We searched the Web of Science core collection of the English-language papers associated with community palliative care published from January 1,2014 to November 1,2021 and then used CiteSpace 5.8.R1 to establish the cooperation and co-occurrence networks.Results A total of 1509 papers were included in this study.The annual number of published papers and the citations associated with community palliative care showed an increasing trend.The country,institution,and author publishing the most papers in this field were the United States,the King's College London,and Irene J Higginson at the King's College London,respectively.The research hotspot was identified as hospice of end-of-life patients like cancer patients,which aimed at improving the quality of life.The care will be expanded to dementia patients and old people.Research subjects involve family caregiver and palliative care worker.The predicted focuses of future studies include intervention methods and efficacy,patients' preference,and advance care planning.Conclusions Community palliative care has been rapidly developing in recent years and expanding from patients to the whole population for a full-life care.The Chinese researchers need to strengthen international exchange and cooperation and to learn the diverse development approaches for the whole population,thereby promoting the practice and development of community palliative care in China.

Objective: To analyze the literature of related research reports on occupational hearing loss (ONIHL) , study the characteristics of the subject and determine the research hotspots. Methods: In December 2020, PubMed database was searched by bibliometrics for ONIHL published in PubMed database from January 1971 to December 2020. Bicomb 2.03 software was used to extract the subject. The publication year, publication country, source magazine and subject words were summarized and analyzed. Results: A total of 1 473 papers were included in this study, and the number of papers was 66 from 1971 to 1980, and 628 from 2011 to 2020, an increase of nearly 10 times. The top three countries were the United States, China and Germany, with 31.5% (464/1473) , 11.5% (171/1473) and 6.2% (91/1473) ; The cross-sectional study was the most applied type; The top five words for 2011-2020: Mental Illness, polymorphism, cardiovascular disease, high frequency hearing impairment and standards and regulations. Conclusion: Susceptibility Genes, Psychological Disorders, Cardiovascular Diseases and Risk Assessment are hot areas in ONIHL at present. Researchers should focus on major fields and grasp future trends as a whole.

Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) with high mortality and disable rate is a public health problem of common concern all over the world. In order to improve the survival rate of OHCA, developed countries such as Europe and the United States have established regional and even national OHCA registration database for continuous monitoring and quality improvement of OHCA, identifying the weaknesses in each link of the survival chain, and evaluating effective measures to enhance the survival rate. At present, China still lacks of registration database that can comprehensively collect the information of OHCA and effectively reflect the treatment status and research direction of OHCA. In order to shorten the huge gap of OHCA survival rate between China and developed countries such as Europe and the United States, we should learn from the experience of foreign registration databases and establish OHCA registration database suitable for China's national conditions, so as to promote the improvement of OHCA survival rate in China. This paper presents several major OHCA registry databases of the internationally recognized,such as cardiac arrest registry to enhance survival (CARES), resuscitation outcomes consortium (ROC), European registry of cardiac arrest (EuReCa), Pan-Asian resuscitation outcomes registry (PAROS), and Australian resuscitation outcome consortium (Aus-ROC), aims to provide a reference for promoting the construction of the cardiac arrest registration database in China.

On the basis of introducing FDA's regulatory measure and relevant requirement for life-cycle management of combination product, this paper aims to discuss corresponding countermeasure for supervision system construction in consideration of domestic drug-device combination product's current situation, in order to promote innovative development of relevant industries.

Based on peer-reviewed systematic reviews and randomized controlled trials published between January 2000 and June 2019 with regards to the management of glenohumeral joint osteoarthritis (GJO), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) established the clinical practice guidelines for the treatment of GJO. The guidelines provided practice recommendations including risk factors, non-surgical treatment, surgical treatment, prosthesis selection, and perioperative management for GJO. The recommendations were graded according to different evidence strength. This paper interprets the guidline in order to provide reference for domestic medical workers.

BACKGROUND: The treatment of stem cells in intervertebral disc degeneration has always been a research hotspot. It is possible to predict and analyze the research status and development trend of this field to a certain extent, applying bibliometric analysis software to perform co-occurrence and co-citation analysis of numerous literature data in this field. OBJECTIVE: To analyze research status and development trend of stem cells in the treatment of intervertebral disc degeneration by bibliometric visualization analysis. METHODS: The authors retrieved the literature on stem cells in the treatment of intervertebral disc degeneration from 1999 to 2020 through the core collection of Web of Science, and used bibliometrics methods to conduct statistical analysis on the literature data, combined with Citespace 5.6.R5 and VOSviewer 1.6.15 software to transform the visualization atlas, analyze the research status and development trend of stem cells in the treatment of intervertebral disc. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) A total of 613 articles were included. The number of publications of stem cells in intervertebral disc treatment research is increasing year by year. Among them, China and the United States rank first and second with 232 and 174 publications respectively. (2) The United States has a total citation frequency (5 522), h index (42), and betweenness centrality (0.75) ranks first, both higher than the second place in China (3 169, 28, 0.16). (3) The top ten cited references introduced the research on the treatment of intervertebral disc degeneration with microscopic mesenchymal stem cells from various aspects, and seven of them were related to nucleus pulposus like differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. Two papers are related to the best cell source and cell carrier generation in the treatment of intervertebral disc regeneration. One is related to the clinical trial study of the treatment of degenerative disc regeneration. (4) The timeline chart of reference co-citation shows that the most references are published in clusters of “Mesenchymal Stem Cells”, “Notochord Cells”, “End Plates”, and “Adipose derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells”. From a year of publication perspective, the clustering “notochord cells”, “notochord”, and “injection” published in the latest year. (5) Clustering keywords “intervertebral disc degeneration”, “migration”, “notochord cells”, “genipin” and “hydrogel” correspond exactly to the above. It was confirmed that the keywords suddenly appeared and found that present research hotspots are: mesenchymal stem cell nucleus pulposus-like differentiation, the best cell source in the treatment of intervertebral disc regeneration and the clinical effectiveness and biosafety of cell carrier construction and intervertebral disc regeneration treatment. (6) There are five new keywords from 2017 to 2019, namely “injection”, “intervertebral disc degeneration”, “inflammation”, “apoptosis”, and “puncture”, mainly focusing on cell apoptosis, inflammatory reaction, intervertebral disc regression, and cell transplantation methodology. (7) The above-mentioned global trend analysis suggests that as the amount of stem cells published in the treatment of intervertebral disc degeneration continues to increase, related research is also constantly deepening. The current research focuses on the nucleus pulposus-like differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells, the best cell source and cell carrier integration in the treatment of intervertebral disc regeneration, and the clinical effectiveness and biological safety of integration of intervertebral disc regeneration treatment. In-depth exploration of the mechanism of intervertebral disc degeneration and inflammatory response and improvement of cell transplantation methodology are the focus of future research. This paper analyzed literatures on the specificity study of electroencephalogram (EEG) in the diagnosis of depression since 2010 to 2020, summarized the recent research directions in this field and prospected the future research hotspots at home and abroad. Based on databases of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and the core collection of Web of Science (WOS), CiteSpace software was used to analyze the relevant literatures in this research field. The number of relevant literatures, countries, authors, research institutions, key words, cited literatures and periodicals related to this research were analyzed, respectively, to explore research hotspots and development trends in this field. A total of 2 155 articles were included in the WOS database. The most published institution was the University of Toronto, the most published country was the United States, China occupied the third place, and the hot keywords were anxiety, disorder, brain and so on. A total of 529 literatures were included and analyzed in CNKI database. The institution with the most publications was the Mental Health Center of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and the hot keywords were EEG signal, event-related potential, convolutional neural network, schizophrenia, etc . This study finds that EEG study of depression is developing rapidly at home and abroad. Research directions in the world mainly focus on exploring the characteristics of spontaneous EEG rhythm and nonlinear dynamic parameters during sleep in depressed patients. In addition, synchronous transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and EEG technologies also attract much attention abroad, and the future research hotspot will be on the mechanism of EEG on patients with major depression. Domestic research directions mainly focus on the classification of resting EEG and the control study of resting EEG power spectrum entropy in patients with schizophrenia and depression, and future research hotspot is the basic and clinical EEG study of depressed patients complicated with anxiety.

Through literature search in regular database and official websites of relevant countries, this paper combs and summarizes the main characteristics of disease prevention and control systems in five countries, the United States, Germany, South Korea, Australia and Japan, and the European Union at key levels including legal construction, organizational structure, financing, personnel construction and international cooperation, in order to provide decision support for the construction of disease prevention and control system in China in the future.

BACKGROUND: It has been recognized that breast cancer stem cells play an important role in the occurrence, development, metastasis, recurrence and drug resistance of breast cancer, but the action mechanism of breast cancer stem cells in it is still unclear, and the treatment of breast cancer needs further improvement. OBJECTIVE: To explore the research status and development trend in the field of breast cancer stem cells from 2011 to 2020. METHODS: The relevant literature data in the field of breast cancer stem cell research were obtained from the Web of Science database, and the two-dimensional bar diagram of the corresponding data was drawn by Microsoft excel 2019. The co-occurrence analysis function of VOSviewer software was used to draw the co-occurrence analysis chart of keywords and its superposition with time. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) A total of 1 013 papers were included in this study. The number of papers, the H index, and the number of citations from the United States were the first in the world. The number of the literature on oncology is the largest. Sun Yat-Sen University is the largest producer of literature. WICHA MS is the author with the largest number of publications. National Natural Science Foundation of China supports the largest number of outputs. The largest number of publications is published in the ONCOTARGET. (2) The combination of chemotherapy and metformin and targeted antiangiogenic therapy are the key research contents in oncology. (3) In gene genetics, sox2, ezh2, and nanog are the key genes. (4) In the treatment of breast cancer stem cells, epithelial-mesenchymal transition is the main research content. (5) In molecular biology, cd24 and cd44 are the key biomarkers. (6) “Nuclear factor-κB” and “stemness” are the closest keywords to the present time. (7) Recombinant human receptor tyrosine kinase HRG/ErbB3 signals related to the nuclear factor-κB pathway, Pterostilbene and disulfiram are the research focus, and the epithelial/mesenchymal heterogeneity, miR34a-NOTCH1 axis and LINC00511/miR-185-3p/E2F1/ Nanog axis related to the stemness of breast cancer stem cells are the key research contents. (8) The United States has the highest link intensity with other countries in co-country analysis. (9) It is concluded that in the field of breast cancer stem cells, the United States is the most powerful country. The research direction in this field is gradually tending to the application of breast cancer stem cells to the treatment of breast cancer. The 2020 Management of Glenohumeral Joint Osteoarthritis Evidence-Based Clinical Practice Guideline which was prepared by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) were publicated on October 2020. The guideline involves the following 8 chapters: drug therapy and injectable biologics, physical therapy and non-surgical treatments, radiographs, prognostic factors, surgical treatments, intraoperative hemostasis measure (tranexamic acid), management of supraspinatus tears, multimodal pain management and discharge. In this paper, the guideline is interpreted to provide cutting-edge information for domestic glenohumeral joint osteoarthritis researchers.

Urban renewal in the United States is oriented by individualism and economic model, advocating the "invisible hand" of the market determines the direction and speed of the regeneration of old urban areas. Regarding the motivation and resource, urban regeneration in US resorts to two models: from government to public (top to bottom) and from community engagement to government support (bottom to top), resulting in two models including public--private partnerships and community activism and engagement. Public art plays a signifcant role in both engaging urban regenerations. This paper examines the history of urban regeneration in US, the definition and development of the two models, and the case study of how public art works for urban regeneration. In 2019, American Academy of Audiology published the clinical practice guideline for cochlear implant based on evidence-based methodology. The primary purposes of this guideline were to provide a set of statements, recommendations, and strategies for cochlear implant. This paper aimed at interpreting the guideline with a focus on patient selection and indications sections. The determination of candidacy for a cochlear implant involves a series of tests, including audiometric testing, electrophysiology, fitting and verification of amplification, speech perception, and a solid understanding of the impact of hearing loss on educational, vocational, and psychosocial outcomes, as well as speech and language skills. In 1972, the Committee on Hearing and Equilibrium of the American Academy of Otoaryngology （AAO-CHE） produced the first diagnostic guidelines for Ménière's disease. The American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Foundation （AAO-HNS） modified them in 1985, 1995 and 2015. Then, AAO-HNS developed the latest updated version of the Ménière's Disease Guidelines in 2020, based on the latest evidence-based medicine foundation. Objective: To analyze the research status of ground-level ozone pollution, explore research trends and hot spots, and provide references for future research on air pollution. Methods: Papers on ground-level ozone pollution research published before December 31, 2019 had been retrieved in SCI-E database of the "Web of Science Core Collection" in January 2020. The retrieval strategies were set as follows: TS= ( ("Tropospheric Ozone" OR "Low Level Ozone" OR "Ground Level Ozone") AND ("Air pollution*" OR "Air quality") ) . The survey included 2084 articles. By using bibliometric research and visual analysis tools, the research status of global ground-level ozone pollution was revealed from the aspects of time, discipline, journal, financing, institution, country and key words. Results: Cumulative publications increased in a cubic function of y =0.05 x (3)+0.80 x (2)+0.74 x +4.55 ( R (2)=0.999, P <0.01) . The most studied subject was Environmental sciences ecology (1401 articles, 67.23%) . Atmospheric Environment was the journal with the most articles (332 articles, 15.93%) . The United States was the country with the most publications (44.67%, 931/2084) , while China ranked second (17.13%, 357/2084) . 80.39% (287/357) of Chinese papers had funding information. Among the top 10 research institutions, 7 and 2 were affiliated to the United States and China respectively. Source apportionment and human health were high frequency keywords that had appeared in the last 5 years. Conclusion: The research on ground-level ozone pollution is in a good period of development. The United States has a leading position in this area, and China has a good prospect in this field. Pollution source apportionment and human health effects are new research directions.

BACKGROUND: Exploring the research status and development trend of femomacetabular impingement, and finding out the research direction and hot spot of femomacetabular impingement are helpful for domestic scholars to grasp the latest information in this field and explore the most cutting-edge treatment direction. OBJECTIVE: To explore the research status and the development trend of femoroacetabular impingement in the world. METHODS: The science citation index of Wed of Science core collection was used to retrieve English literature on femoroacetabular impingement from January 1, 2005 to February 20, 2020. The bibliometric methods were used to conduct data statistics and analysis. Meanwhile, VOS viewer software was used for visualization conversion to analyze the research status and the development trend of femoroacetabular impingement. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) Totally 3 158 literatures were included. The literatures concerning global scientific research of femoroacetabular impingement are increasing year by year. The number of the United States published is largest. The United States makes the greatest contribution in the world, ranking the top (1 659 papers), whose number of the citations (37 019 papers) and H index (87 papers) are the highest. The number of literatures is 43 in China. It ranks 14 and the citations are 301; H index is 9. (2) ARTHROSCOPY-THE JOURNAL OF ARTHROSCOPIC AND RELATED SURGERY who contributed the largest number of relevant literatures (426 papers) is more than of the second magazine (287 papers) named AMERICAN JOURNAL OF SPORTS MEDICINE. UNIV BERN (University of Bern) and HOSP SPECIAL SURG (Hospital for Special Surgery) are two institutions which have the largest amount of research publications. (3) Currently, the research topics on femoroacetabular impingement are focusing on five areas, including epidemiology, disease progression, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. In recent years, the primary field of research is treatment and the hip arthroscopic operation becomes a research hotspot. (4) From the analysis on the current development trend of femoroacetabular impingement, there is still very big exploration space in this area and the number of published literatures continuous increases. The United States remains a leader in this field. The further study is required in China. In recent years, the research direction focuses on the aspect of treatment of femoroacetabular impingement. With the increasing global burden of various cancer, an abundance of papers emerged every year in the research hotspots of oncology, covering a wide range of research types and topics. In order to facilitate interested readers to quickly grasp the frontier and hotspots of cancer research, it would be helpful to sort out and summarize the research topic in a timely manner. According to the classification of disciplines, we screened the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) hot papers released in 2019 for the ones in the oncology field, utilized methods such as bibliometrics, statistical description, hierarchical induction, analysis and interpretation to further reveal the context and characteristics of research in the field of oncology, summarized the latest progresses and future directions in the field, and provided information and hints for the trajectory of future research. A total of 549 papers were included, which were mainly from the field of clinical medicine; the country with the most publications was the United States, while China ranked the fourth in terms of contribution; the research institution with the highest number of published papers was University of Texas system; N Engl J Med published the most papers, with contribution also from highly influential journals in the field of oncology such as Lancet Oncol , J Clin Oncol , JAMA Oncol and Cancer Discov . Oncology remained the most popular research topic in the medical research and spanned a wide spectrum of sub-topics. In this study, we demonstrated and sorted out research frontiers in the field of oncology in 12 different research directions including the basic cancer research, cancer epidemiology, and various tumors types related to different systems and organs.

With the development of industry, musculoskeletal disorders have become increasingly prominent, and low back pain is one of the major problems. The United States and Germany have already included it in the category of occupational diseases. Therefore, it is extremely important to determine the occupational factors affecting low back pain and evaluate the load level of workers. In this paper, combined with the existing literature, the evaluation methods of the load of low back pain were reviewed, in order to provide reference for the development of prevention strategies of low back pain from the perspective of occupational factors.
