BANKING industry , *INTERBANK market , *RISK assessment , *FINANCIAL statements , *BANK assets - Abstract
This paper estimates the interbank bilateral asset and debt positions based on different assumptions of interbank network structures by using data of China's banking sector. The network structure of interbank market is modeled to analyze the financial contagion caused by a singular bank failure. A multi-agent simulation model including heterogenous banks is built to study how interbank network structures and banks' balance sheet structures affect financial contagion. The results indicate that a core-periphery interbank structure would increase the influence of financial contagion compared with a complete network structure. Moreover, the balance sheet structure would affect financial contagion, with a higher equity ratio increasing financial stability and decreasing probability of financial contagion, and a higher interbank asset and debt ratio the opposite. This implies that regulation of systemic risk in banking sector should pay more attention to financial structure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Ayurveda can be traced back to 3000BC. It is the principal part of traditional medicine in India and other South Asian countries. It was divided into four historical periods according to the academic circle in India, ie. the Vedic period, the Samhita period, the Sangraha period and the modern period. The literature in the Vedic period mainly included Vedic Samhitas Brahmanas , Ramayana , Mahabharata . In the Samhita period, the "BrihatTrayee ", namely, Caraka Samhita , Susruta Samhita and Astanga Hrdaya Samhita were published, indicating that Ayurveda had developed into a full-fledged medical system. In the Sangraha period, the "Laghu Trayee" , namely, Madhava Nidana , Sarangadhara Samhita and Bhava Prakasa were published. At this time, a large number of annotated texts for these medical books emerged, which kept driving Ayurveda improvements. Since the modern period, Ayurvedic classical works were rearranged, edited and translated into different languages as cultural heritage, drawing attention worldwide. While the research to these works has been conducted widely in China, they are still short of systematic and professional translation and in-depth studies. This paper attempts to introduce the literature related to Ayurveda systematically, to pave the way for further research of Ayurvedic literature in the field of traditional Chinese medicine.

A scientific understanding of India's border-strategy is of great significance for China to formulate reasonable strategies towards India. Existing studies cannot explain why India has been provoking and encroachment in the Sino-India border area under the condition of the wide gap in comprehensive power between China and India, and it is difficult to provide a theoretical basis for China to adjust its strategy towards India in the future. Based on the framework of national border projected power, the paper chooses 4 time nodes, and combines historical studies and field work resources to explain Sino-India border strategic behavior in different historical phases. The results show that: ① National border projected power is the fundamental cause of national border strategic behavior. The national border projected power is mainly affected by comprehensive national power, restrictive power, geo-distance, trade relations. ② When China's comprehensive national power is powerful and unencumbered by restrictive power, the intensity of its national border projected power will rise, which will promote China to become the dominant side in the border strategic behavior of the Himalayan region, vice versa. ③ Based on the analytical framework, it is suggested that China should accurately evaluate the changes of the Sino-India national border projected power, scientifically place more emphases on the containment of external restrictive power, and reasonably enhance national projected power allocating in the border area, so as to actively respond to India's military adventures in the border area.
